Because of the question Hanni had asked Minji..
Minji felt like shit the rest of the day.
Not only was she jealous of Danielle because Y/n was so sweet to her but she felt like shit because a certain memory kept replaying in her head.
- Minji POV -
"ARRGHHH!" Y/n playfully bit my arm as we play fought on my bed.
"YUMMY!!" Y/n kept being childish.
I wrapped my legs around Y/n's waist and playfully pinned them to my bed.
"I HAVE TAMMED THE DRAGON!" I played along.
"OHHH NO!!" Y/n started playing dead.
We both just started cracking up.
Y/n sat up to hold my waist, while I straddled on them.
My heart was beating so fast that I wanted to just kiss them then and there
"So, did you hangout with Haerin?" I asked a bit curious.
I couldn't lie that I was always a bit jealous when Y/n hung out with the girls alone. I knew that Y/n's heart was mine but I just couldn't help it.
"Yeah, why? Are you jealous?" Y/n smugly asked.
"Noooooo," I answered sarcastically.
I was just joking.
Until... I saw the bruises on Y/n's neck...
"Did you two do anything?" I started to get suspicious.
"No, we just hung out!" Y/n chuckled in amusement at my question.
"Besides, it's not like you've asked me out. I'm allowed to do whatever!" Y/n sassed me.
I got upset at the comment and bitterly got off Y/n.
"Then what are those hickeys on your neck?" I asked.
"What? They're not hickeys!" Y/n answered with a confused demeanor.
"Are my feelings just a toy to you?" I lowly asked.
"What? You don't trust me?" Y/n asked in anger.
I didn't answer.
"I would never do that to you," Y/n started to get really upset and started to collect their things.
Y/n was about to walk out of my room when I got up to stop them.
"Tell me the truth!" I demanded.
"It's nothing!" Y/n answered.
"Don't fucking lie to me!" I slapped Y/n out of pure rage.
I was really upset.
It was clear to me that Y/n and Haerin had done something.
Y/n just glared at me with cold eyes, lowly saying... "I need to get out of here."
Y/n attempted to leave again, but I pulled them back to face me.
I wanted to know the truth.
"Tell me what the hell is on your neck!" I demanded.
Y/n just went silent and I took that as my answer.
My anger just took over....
and.....
*SLAP*
"I FUCKING KNEW IT!" I screamed at the top of my lung.
I started to push Y/n around out of anger.
For some reason, Y/n was just standing there without saying or doing any, which just pissed me off even more.
"YOU'RE SO FUCKING FAKE!!" I screamed in anger.
"AND YOU'RE SUCH A FUCKING BITCH!!!" Y/n screamed back.
I don't know what got into me but I just straight up punched Y/n out of pure rage.
Suddenly, Y/n snapped and pinned me to the bed....
Choking me.
"Y/N! S-STOP!" I realized I had fucked up.
Y/n's eyes were cold and emotionless.
I couldn't get Y/n off me. So... I started to scream....
"DAAADD!!"
"D-DADD!"
It seemed like Y/n started to have a moment of realization and loosen up their grip around my neck..... whispered, "I'm sorry."
Dad suddenly burst into my room and tackled Y/n off of me.
He ended up calling the police...
And Y/n got arrested.
The next day, I told the girls what happened.
I was super pissed at Haerin but I soon came to find out that they actually hadn't done anything.
Still, it was too late.
The damage had been done.
The girls all started to hate Y/n and rumors started going around the school about Y/n being a criminal or a bully.
When Y/n returned to school after being arrested, they showed up to school with a bloody uniform for the first time.
The school got their first big donation that day too.
I stood at the gates of the school with my head up trying not to freak out at the fact that Y/n looked like they been beaten near death.
"Welcome back," I coldly greeted Y/n.
"I hate you," Y/n hissed before spitting blood at my feet.
Since then, Y/n's never been allowed in my house. That's why Y/n always climbs up to my window to see me.
That was the start of Y/n's brutal beatings.
It was also the start of the girls being rude to Y/n, which resulted in Y/n starting their extreme harassment towards us.
Because of my dad's vague statement to the police and my unwillingness to say what happened, Y/n got away with lying to the police.
Saying that they had broken into our house and got spooked when someone caught them.
It took a week, after Y/n's return, for me to find out why Y/n really had bruises on their neck.
In a morning rage, Y/n just screamed... "MY DAD BEATS ME OKAY!?!"
It all made sense then.
Why Y/n refused to change in front of me. Why Y/n always ran out of school as soon as the bell rang. Why Y/n would sometimes come to school with a "nosebleed".
I told the girls what was happing and tried to get them to stop being so rude to Y/n but it was too late... Y/n had already started to hate us... and even after we stopped being rude.... Y/n kept harassing us.
"Hello?!" I heard a muffled voice.
"Earth to Minji!" I heard the voice again.
I was suddenly sucked out of my thoughts and I found Y/n standing in front of me.
"Y/n, what are you doing here?" I wiped my tears away.
"I was running late to school but then heard someone crying," Y/n kneeled down to the floor.
"You're supposed to go through the front gate," I sniffled... trying to avoid eye contact.
"The gate is probably already closed at this point. I would have had to jump the fence anyway," Y/n softly answered.
I sniffled... trying to get a hold of myself.
"Why are you all curled up here and crying?" Y/n asked me.
I couldn't bring myself to say anything.
Y/n then gently moved my chin to face them.
My heart broke into a million pieces at the light smile on Y/n's face. I couldn't help it and abruptly pulled Y/n into a hug. When we pulled away..... I couldn't help but to press my lips on Y/n's.
"I'm sorry," I whispered.
"It's okay," Y/n smiled at me.
"No... I'm sorry... about that day," I whispered in shame.
"Oh that," Y/n whispered.
"If I would have just listened or not assumed anything....," I started to sulk.
"It was my fault. I shouldn't have reacted like that," Y/n answered.
"If I would have given you just a few more minutes to try to explain yourself," I rubbed my neck... remembering the sensation of being choked that night...
"It's fine. It happened almost a year ago," Y/n whispered.
We both got quiet.
"Come here," Y/n whispered as they pulled me into their arms.
I couldn't help it and started to weep in Y/n's arms.
Y/n sat back and just held me while I cried.
When I thought I was finally okay, I turned to face Y/n.... but my heart broke again.
I cupped Y/n's face and placed a kiss on their forehead.
One kiss didn't feel like enough so I started to place kissed all over Y/n's face... like I used to. Finally, I placed a kiss on Y/n's lips as my form of apologizing.
"Minji, stop with the kisses. That's not us anymore," Y/n gently pushed me away.
My heart just kept breaking.
I let out a painful whimper and just shook my head no.
"I took part in making you a monster," I whispered, pressing my forehead on Y/n's.
