"Kennnnnnmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa," you whine as you raise an arm up.
"What?"
"Help me up!"
"No." A smirk appears on Kenma's face.
You groan in annoyance and grab onto his leg, pulling him down next to you. "Get rekt little loser."
Kenma scrunches his nose up and pushes you over, "That may be one of the stupidest things you've ever said."
"I don't know, I think it was pretty damn awesome."
"In your dreams."
You just laugh and sit up, Kenma doing the same. The two of you had found an abandoned house to stay in not long before, pretty happy with it. It isn't too shabby for what it is. Unfortunately, there is no water or heat. There were plenty of blankets left in a room for the two of you to stay warm overnight for the past few nights. One of the nights was so cold that the two of you ended up cuddling extremely close to one another. You've gotten more comfortable to be able to end up that way, both of you have. It fills your body with a sense of relaxation when you're around him at times. It used to be a feeling you were very iffy about but you really have begun to enjoy it.
Compared with the way you and Kenma had acted with one another in the beginning to where you are now, it feels nice. You wish he would join you in killing eventually, but you know he probably never will. He was a cop before in the first place.
The day goes on and you decide to take a killing spree trip. "Come on Kenma, you know what time it is for me."
"Time to give up on killing for the rest of your life?" He shoots back.
You laugh, "No Silly, Bloodshed time!"
Kenma lets out a sigh, "Okay, lets go." He's had the hope that you'd let go of the killing thing as time goes on but it's a fact that you most likely won't. You're insane to a point, the killing might be the final thing keeping you from completely losing it.
The two of you travel through the outskirts of town to look for a place, taking your time as you do so.
Out of nowhere, Kenma decides to ask you a question. "If you weren't a killer, what would you want to be doing with your life?"
"I don't know, I don't see why I'd care either," you reply with a concerned glance.
"It's just a question. Give it a real thought and real answer."
A groan leaves your lips. "Uhm, I don't know. One of those people who cut open bodies and examine the cause of death I guess."
"A Pathologist?"
"Sure, I guess that's what it's called," you reply with a shrug. "Why did you ask such a weird question so randomly?"
Kenma shrugs. "Why not? We have nothing better to talk about."
"I mean, I guess? It was just a weird question."
"Are you sure you aren't the weird one?" he questions. "I was just trying to make small talk."
"Small talk is just weird.."
Kenma can't help but to laugh a bit at how you see small talk. It's interesting to him that that's how you view small talk. Out of all things, normal conversations are weird to you. Then again, you are quite abnormal.
"Kenma, look!"
"What?" Kenma gets knocked out of his thoughts at the sound of your voice.
"A house with a full family at the dinner table!"
Kenma's hand meets his forehead with a breath leaving his lips. "I hate you. I thought it was something actually exciting."
"This is exciting!"
"For you maybe."
You giggle and sit down on the ground behind a large bush. "Well for now, we're going to sit here. I want to wait until it looks like everyone has gone into different rooms. It's harder to win with them all together in the same room."
Kenma drops down next to you, choosing to lay rather than sit. "Waiting game it is again."
"Yup."
The ground is uncomfortable beneath Kenma's head and he moves his arms beneath it. You notice and move him yourself, setting his head onto your thigh instead. Kenma's blushes as he feels the squish beneath his head. Now that's a pillow that he could get used to. You begin to run your hands through his hair, keeping your eyes on the window of the family's house across from you. It's calming to run your hands through his hair... It makes you feel relaxed and as if you could never be touched from then on.
Neither of the two of you understand the full feelings of how you feel about one another. Kenma has a good idea but refuses to believe he would fall in love with the woman who decided to kidnap him and murder innocent people. You on the other hand just don't even understand the feeling. You know it's there, but you aren't sure as to what it is completely. You're just going to let it figure itself out more and more. You'll know what it is eventually, and when the time comes, you'll decide how to handle it.
Kenma enjoys your hand running over his head as he lays on your thighs. His body temperature is high and shaky breaths escape his mouth as he keeps himself as calm as he can. You notice his reaction but choose to say nothing, not completely knowing what it is about. Not everyone can be a genius about everything.
As the sweet moment goes on, you watch the house more and more. Unfortunately, you notice suitcases being brought into the living room over time. "What's going on?" you mumble to yourself.
"What do you mean?" Kenma asks, having heard you.
"There are suitcases being brought into the living room. I think they're all about to leave." A groan leaves your body, annoyance growing.
Kenma feels a tinge of relief at your words. Two less deaths if it's true. "Oh. Maybe wait it out and see what happens?"
A whine can be heard. "I guess. I was hoping for bloodshed tonight."
"Maybe you'll still get it."
"Maybe.."
You sit there and continue to watch the family. Your guess was correct. The entire family is walking out of the house. "Noo," you whine. "Man, we waited here for hours for nothing."
Kenma shrugs. "I don't think it was for nothing. This is pretty comfy for me and it's definitely something."
You roll your eyes and shake your head, unable to stop a small smile from appearing on your face. "Yeah, yeah. You just think my thighs are comfy."
"Exactly."
You sigh and allow yourself to lay back. "Now what? Do we head back? I was planning to switch towns tomorrow."
"We could always lay here a while longer and start moving tonight. It will save some time and we could be ahead on making it elsewhere."
"I suppose."
"Just don't go moving yet. I wanna lay here for a while more." Kenma's hands slither up and wrap around one of your legs, holding onto you so you can't move. A shiver runs up your leg from the touch. It's a weird feeling for you, but you like it.
Time passes by more and more, before the two of you finally get up and begin on your next journey. You pack your stuff and make it to the next town within just a few nights. The town you end up in is one that you've passed by a few times before but not yet ever completely settled into. You stayed in a cave that night after being on the verge of blacking out from being awake three days straight.
The cave comes into sight and your night of fun begins.

Hi again, I was actually able to get myself to work on another chapter! Be proud. My life has taken yet again, another turn. My stepdad was put into jail and I moved in with my boyfriend a while back, but me and that boyfriend broke up. I am currently still living with his family but it's become a bit unbearable so I am working on finding myself an apartment with a friend of mine. Luckily I graduated from highschool on the 25th, so school is not in the way. The negative about that is I start college in the fall even though i wasn't originally planning to. Woo.... Torture 😀Anyway, the next chapter will be out as soon as I can get to it. I hope you enjoyed!
