"Kion I would really like to speak in private about something." Alexis says as she is sitting beside Kion in the lair.
"Lion Guard! Come! I have someone I want you to meet. This is my new apprentice. Makini! Makini this is the Lion Guard and their friend Alexis. And their Lair." A voice says revealing to be Rafiki with Makini.
"Hiya Makini!" Bunga says as everyone goes over and greets Makini.
"Hi Kion. And wow! It's so fantastic to meet the rest of you! I mean obviously I've seen you all before while you're going around the Pride Lands. Being all strong and brave. And fast. And keenest of sight!" Makini says as Alexis watches her excitedly talk with the Lion Guard.
"So Rafiki why are you taking on an apprentice? Are you okay?" Beshte asks.
"Yes Beshte. Yes. I am fine. You see when Makini was born the Lions of the Past told me that she would be the one to continue my role in the Circle of Life. And now that the stripes have appeared on her face it is time for Makini to begin her training!" Rafiki says as Makini notices the paintings on the wall.
"Rafiki? Did you do all of those paintings?" Makini asks excitedly.
"Only some. Most were done by those who came before me. And someday it will be your turn to paint them!" Rafiki says.
"Okay..." Makini says.
"Kion can you assemble the Royal Family on Pride Rock for Makini's formal introduction?" Rafiki asks as he looks at Kion.
"Sure Rafiki. I'll make sure we're all there. Alexis didn't you wanna talk about something? I can speak before I go." Kion says as he looks at Alexis.
"No, no.. It's okay. This is more important. Some other time. Besides I'm sure you're tired from patrolling today. I'm gonna head back home. I'll see you later Kion." Alexis says as she runs off.
*Timeskip*
"Oh. Why can't I just get the courage and say it? Rafiki can't be wrong about how Kion and the others will react. Can he? Oh who am I fooling? Of course he could be wrong. Some excuse for a wolf I am. Wolves are supposed to brave and fearless yet I'm act like a mouse afraid to say something. Oh well.. Maybe one day they can know." Alexis says sadly as she is walking back to the Outlands before stopping upon smelling a scent nearby.
"Huh? What the.." Alexis asks as she smells the scent more.
"That smells like Janja and his hyenas but the scent is too fresh to be from this morning. Oh no. Kiara and Makini were here too. Smells like Kiara is headed in the same direction with Janja. I better go check it out. Lion Guard member or not I won't stand by and do nothing." Alexis says as she continues tracking the scent.
*Timeskip*
As Alexis gets to where Janja and his hyenas are she spots them throw Kiara among the geysers.
"Janja let Kiara go!" Alexis says angrily as she goes to where Janja and his clan can see her.
"Oh not you again! Where's Kion?" Janja asks in annoyance.
"Not here. I came on my own. Let her go at once!" Alexis says fearlessly as she growls.
"Boy. For a wolf and lion creature you certainly don't give up do you?" Janja asks as he growls.
"You got that right. I may be alone but that won't stop me. Imara mwitu!" Alexis says she shifts to wolf form and tackles Chungu.
"Alexis!? What the-!?" Kiara says in surprise as she sees Alexis as a wolf.
"Don't worry Kiara. I'll get you out! Eventually!" Alexis says as she is fighting with with the hyenas.
*Timeskip*
"Give up already!" Cheezi shouts as Alexis avoids his attack.
"Not a chance!" Alexis says angrily.
"Janja!" A voice shouts sounding like Kion in the distance.
"Oh! It's show time. You fellas stay here and keep our guests entertained. I gotta see a lion about a Roar." Janja says as he leaves.
"Janja get back here!" Alexis shouts as she starts to run after Janja.
"Oh no you don't wolf cub!" Cheezi shouts as he and Chungu jump in front of Alexis.
"You wouldn't wanna leave the princess behind now would you?" Chungu asks as Alexis looks back towards Kiara before growling at the hyenas. Before Fuli and the other Lion Guard members arrive except for Kion and begin attacking the hyenas.
"Beshte! Now!" Fuli shouts as Beshte pushes a boulder onto a steam vent before the group goes over to Kiara.
"We're here to rescue you your highness!" Ono says.
"Yeah! Come on Kiara. Let's go!" Bunga says.
"Thanks guys. But I burned my paws on the steam vent. I can't move too fast." Kiara says as as Alexis comes over.
"I got her. Come on Kiara. Climb onto my back." Alexis says asKkiara climbs onto her back.
"Who are you?" Bunga asks as he sees Alexis.
"We'll explain later." Kiara says.
"Okay! Let's get outta here! Ono go tell Kion we got Kiara!" Fuli says.
"Affirmative!" Ono says as he flies off before the group begins running.
"Run, run! The volcano's erupting! There's fire and lava everywhere!" Ono shouts as he comes back over as the volcano is erupting.
"Tell us something we don't know!" Fuli says.
"Uh... Right. I see a way out! This way!" Ono says as he begins leading the way.
"Beshte you first! Follow Ono! Dog you're second." Fuli shouts as the group quickly makes their way back to the Pridelands.
*Timeskip*
"Nice work everybody. You okay Kiara?" Kion asks as the group is sitting just outside the Outlands.
"I'll be fine. Thanks, Lion Guard. You too Alexis." Kiara says as she looks at Alexis.
"Alexis!?" The group asks in union as they look at Alexis shocked.
"Hehe. Surprise." Alexis says as she smiles nervously.
*Timeskip*
"So I take it this is what you wanted to talk to me about earlier?" A voice asks revealing to be Kion as Alexis is drinking from a pond.
"Yeah.. I'm sorry I deceived you Kion. I really wanted to tell you but I was just so afraid. I thought maybe showing you I was a good person by helping in protecting the animals then you might see I wasn't bad. I was also doing it because I love helping people but I guess now you probably don't want me around. Don't worry. I'll leave." Alexis says as she starts to walk off.
"Hey wait! We didn't say we wanted you to leave." Kion says.
"We?" Alexis asks as the other Lion Guard members arrive.
"So when exactly did you become whatever that was?" Bunga asks as Alexis looks at him.
"I was born with that ability. I can look like a wolf or a lion. I'm the only one to my knowledge with it. Let's just say it's I was in the Outlands to start with. I don't ever really feel at home anywhere because of it. But that also makes me curious about something. If you guys aren't here because you want me to leave why are you here?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Well we talked about it and we wanted to know if you would like to join the Lion Guard?" Kion asks.
"Join the Lion Guard?" Alexis asks in surprise.
"Of course. You've always tried to do your best to protect others and today you risked your life trying to protect my sister. I am curious how you found her though." Kion says.
"Tracking. Being a wolf does have its advantages but are you sure? What about your family? Would they be accepting of this?" Alexis asks worriedly.
"We already discussed it with them and they are okay with it. Besides you've more than proven yourself. The question is do you want to become part of the Lion Guard?" Kion asks.
"I'd like that Kion." Alexis says happily.
"Well then welcome to the Pridelands Alexis and welcome to the Lion Guard as the Keenest of Tracking." Kion says as he presses his paw against Alexis's shoulder making a lion mark appear as Alexis smiles.
