Finally the fest day was here. The performers were preparing themselves while the stage decorators were doing their last checkings. The event hall was decorated well, mostly the stage, the lightings were done really well.
Till now, Taehyung was nervous about his piano skills, but now Jungkook seemed more nervous than him. Yoongi had done practices with them and they three were doing really well according to Hobi and Jimin. But, Jungkook was still nervous. He had sang on stages before too, but this would be his first time here, that also with his boyfriend and hyung. He didn't want to mess up on stage at all.
Taehyung kissed his cheek making him flinch and come out of the thoughts before he sat down facing him on the bench.
"Don't think so much"
"Trying not to.."
"We'll do well.. didn't you say?"
"I did but-"
"Then we will"
Jungkook gave a tight lipped smile.
"Come let's check on Chim and see when will hyung be here"
He pulled the boy towards the dance practice room. As they entered they met other people too, all were done with costumes but none had actually done proper make ups yet. Taehyung saw Jimin and Lisa at one side. They were doing a street dancing style adding a perfect break dance in between. And Jungkook could say they were gonna kill it.
"Hey!"
Jimin's palm met Taehyung's as they approached.
"You guys ready?"
"Yea? Absolutely"
Lisa replied with confidence.
"And you two?"
"He.. seems nervous now"
Taehyung looked at Jungkook who licked his lips.
"Hey, you're doing great, why nervous?"
Jimin patted his back.
"It's my first time here.."
"So? You're gonna nail it bruh!"
They chatted awhile more till Yoongi called saying he was here. Taekook went to get him as they did their last time checking. Taehyung pulled out the piano tune really well and he was proud about that on himself.
Yoongi had to meet the professor and music teacher cause he was guest. He didn't have problem though, he had performed here once before too, but solo that time as an attraction and special guest to the fest.
Yoongi wasn't much famous, but youngsters knew about him and his few of songs were played on radios. His rapping skill were appreciated by people who listened him. He was once asked to be an idol, but he didn't wanna be, he wanted to work on his own, so he let them down.
Performances started, solo, groups, everyone was doing very well. Few had messed up as usual but they managed as well. After every performance, loud cheers were filling the hall. Taekook's performance was at the end and Jimlisa's two performances before than them.
Jimlisa looked really tension less, Yoongi just played the piano in a low tone to time pass, Taekook were just checking other's performances. Jungkook did take a time to appreciate his boyfriend's looks. With that bandana over his forehead, he looked really hot. The attire was simple with black jacket and black pants, yet he pulled it out like a model. Jungkook really felt giddy for a moment to have this gorgeous boy.
It was Jimlisa's time, they got on stage. Jimin's cute attire changing into a sexy serious one, same goes for Lisa. People cheered knowing they both were great dancers. The music started, it was a pop remix song they were performing at. Yoongi had fully focused on his boyfriend as the performance went on. They indeed killed it. First the beats were catchy and then their choreography.. many wowed as the performance ended and clapped louder. They both bowed before leaving the stage.
Taehyung hugged his bestie saying you killed it! Jimin made such a proud face, they praised Lisa too, Jimin blushed slightly getting complement from his boyfriend. Next two performances went by as well.
"Next is yours.. all the best"
Jimin cheered the two. Taekook took a deep breath, Yoongi patted them as well. Taehyung gave Jungkook a side hug before they got on the dark stage.
Yoongi checked on the mics for them first cause who will know better than him? Taehyung settled with the piano at one side of the stage putting the mic in proper position so he could sing, Yoongi settled at other side with his guitar and Jungkook was in the middle of the stage with a mic stand, though he had took the mic in hands cause he was more comfortable that way.
Stage lit up again, Taehyung started with the starting tune, Yoongi catched him afterwards and not long after everyone's ears were blessed with Jungkook's beautiful vocal.

The last performance made people dance. Jungkook's confidence boosted up when Jackson, Jimin and few of their friends started singing along them standing up as others joined too. The hall ended the song all together and whistles and cheers filled the room. Suga had his always calm smile at the end but Taekook had wide smiles as they made an eye contact.
The fest ended really well. They were thankful that Taekook's performance was at the end cause audiance got cheered up at the end really well. Jackson came to praise them for the performance and Jungkook couldn't be happier today. Taekook thanked Yoongi for help again and Yoongi flickered their foreheads earning low ows.
They all washed their faces, calmed down having drinks and some food provided from the faculty. Jimin left with Yoongi and Jhope. Yea, Jhope, that guy was here the whole time but didn't come infront of them. When he was asked he replied, "How can I miss my both babe's performance?" Jimin was really happy that he came not like Yoongi wasn't. They left happily.
Jungkook gasped when Taehyung not harshly pinned him to the wall out of nowhere. Fortunately there weren't any people in the classroom that moment.
"What?"
Jungkook asked with a chuckle seeing how Taehyung was looking at him.
"You look sexier now"
Jungkook playfully frowned.
"I didn't look awhile ago?"
"You did, but now when you look bit messy, it's different"
"And you look hot"
"Mm hm?"
Jungkook hummed biting his inner cheek.
"What?"
He asked again cause not Taehyung was leaving him, nor his sharp eyes were changing the stare.
"You complemented Jackson"
"I.. did?"
"Yea you did"
"Uhm ok so..?"
"Don't do it again"
Jungkook blinked.
"Don't complement others.. I don't like it, you can complement me only"
Jungkook didn't know why his cheeks heat up, was it Taehyung's stare or was it his tone or husk? He didn't get it, he just stared back with his doe eyes.
"Heard me?"
"..yea"
"Good boy"
He pecked his cheek before parting away.
"You did really great baby, I love you"
"I do too"
Both flashed smal smiles before they focused on getting back home.

"So, your interview is this Friday?"
Taehyung asked wiping his wet hair. Jungkook hummed being under the covers as he was sitting on the bed leaning on the headboards.
"Ready for it?"
"I think so"
Taehyung nodded having a glass of water.
"Mom called.."
"For?"
"The performance.. she asked how it went"
"You sent her the video?"
"I did and she praised you more than me"
Taehyung let out a smug smile.
"Are you jealous?"
"Nope"
"Really?"
"Yea.. maybe a little bit"
Taehyung chuckled settling under the covers as well. He hugged him side ways laying his head on his shoulder.
"How are you always so warm?"
"How would I know that?"
"Cause it's your body?"
"And you hug it, you should know"
"Ok.. lemme guess.. maybe because.. my baby is always so hot?"
Jungkook fake rolled his eyes with a smile.
"I told you not to roll eyes at me"
"Pervert"
"I am"
There was a silence then.
"Hyung?"
Taehyung hummed.
"What about.. your parents?"
Taehyung visibly stilled and Jungkook regretted immediately asking that.
"I.. don't wanna talk about this"
His voice went a octave lower. Jungkook hummed.
"Don't ask me again"
"..okay.. sorry"
"It's ok"
Jungkook could feel there really must be some bad past that Taehyung wasn't even interested in thinking of. He decided to not ask him again till Taehyung himself would say something.
"Let's sleep hyung.."
Jungkook said after awhile but got no reply. He saw by the corner of his eyes to see Taehyung's eyes had already closed.
"Aish.."
He then struggled to make both lay down properly. Taehyung's arm and leg wrapped around him making him the small spoon while he became the big spoon. Jungkook pecked his forehead before he turned the lamp off to get to sleep.
In the middle of night, Jungkook heard few muffled sounds making him wake up. He looked beside to see Taehyung's calm face had turned into a panicked one in sleep. His brows were furrowed, he was mumbling non coherent words.. he was having a nightmare.
"Hyung"
Jungkook called but the other was still the same.
"Hyung.. wake up"
He shook him a bit. It looked like Taehyung was getting worse with each second, his breath was getting uneven as well.
"Hyung! Hyung! Wake up"
He shook him more before Taehyung gasped loud opening his eyes big as he panted.
"Hey.. look at me"
Jungkook cupped his one cheek.
"It's ok, you're okay.. it was a dream.. dream, that's all"
Taehyung stared at him with same expression awhile before he moved more close to him throwing away all the gap between them and clutched on him tightly.
"It's ok hyung, I'm here"
Jungkook caressed his back, his nape, whispering in his ears. Taehyung was shaking slightly with tight closed eyes.
"I love you.. calm down.. breath"
Taehyung's tight hold hurt, but he didn't complain. Taehyung tried following his words as the hold started to loosen than before.
"Sleep hyung.. sleep"
He kissed his head multiple times, Jungkook's scent helped Taehyung a lot to fall asleep once again. Jungkook stayed awake till Taehyung stilled in sleep fully. He got it that maybe his question about his parents triggered him some ways.
"I will not ask him again.. I don't wanna see him like this"
He took a deep breath, kissed Taehyung again before he tried to get some sleep too.
