"Anak you have to behave okay? Your Dad will pick you up here to visit your Lolo. I need to work." My son pouted and sulk on the couch. Ate Anna is busy on the kitchen preparing my son's baon. A lot of things had happened in a month. Everyone moved on from the tragic momentum. Everyone continued to live their lives.
There are times where I still feel sad and down about my father's death. But I always think of his words. He suffered a lot and fought so hard that it made him tired.
There was a ring inside that box. He said I should give it to someone I love, to someone I want to marry. But I'm really not yet ready for everything. Parang okay na ako sa ganito lang. Co-parenting with Eros. Nag kita kami a week ago. We discussed about the schedule of Damian. Ngayon, babalik ako sa ibang bansa para gawin ang pending works ko dun.
I decided to leave Damian with them. He agreed and my son too. He was sad but he agreed anyway. In exchange of a new limited edition robot he wants. Tsk.
Eros enrolled him here in Manila. Isa pa ay aayusin ko rin ang mga papeles na na iwan namin doon. Naka pag pa alam na rin ako kay Mama at nangako na sa susunod pagkatapos ng lahat ay uuwi na ako at sa Bataan na rin mananatili.
She asked me also if wanted to get back to him, but it was the same. We're okay this way. I don't think I wanna ruin it. Sa tingin ko rin naman ay okay na yon sa kan'ya. I hit send. Hindi na rin s'ya nag reply pa. See? That's all we got. I don't think we can still push it.
"Ate Anna. Si Tito daw ang susundo rito sa inyo. Ahh, hintayin nyo na lang ha. Kailangan ko na talaga umalis at ma l-late na ako sa flight." Tumango lamang ito at binilisan na rin ang ginagawa.
My son is still sulking on the couch. "Anak..."
He sighed and stood up, he ran towards me and hugged me tight. I chuckled. "Hmm, sige na baby okay? It'll be quick. After this mag w-work na si Mommy kay daddy tapos I will take a rest and be with you muna!!!" Masayang sabi ko at hinaplos ang buhok nito.
"You should get a haircut anak, mahaba na ang hair mo." I said but he shook his head and hugged me more before finally letting me go. "No mommy, Leti wants my hair long. Mimi, can you give this to her?" He handed me a white envelope.
"That's a farewell letter and also a promise letter. Lolo helped me do that. Take care mommy, take care of that also please." I smiled sadly at him. "You wanna go back abroad?" Mabilis itong umiling.
"No, it's okay Mimi. I'm sure I'll find her again soon." He smiled assuring me.
Na abutan ako ng traffic at muntik pang ma late but thanks to god I made it inside the plane. Hingal na hingal pa ako kaka takbo.
"Hello ma'am, good morning. Do you want something to drink? Coffee?" I nodded.
"Yes please, black coffee." The flight attendant smiled genuinely before heading somewhere. I rested my back on my seat already missing my litol one.
Jeremy and Andrew is at my house now. They both both wanted to pick me up but I declined. Alas dos pa kaya a-abot pa ako sa school ngayon. I headed there straight and saw my son's adviser.
"Ma'am." I called. Her eyes widen. "Miss Ruiz. Where is your son? What happened? We contacted you but you were out of reach, I also went to your house but no one was there." I deeply apologized to the teacher about the sudden situation and she understands. Thank god. I also asked for the kid Leti but she said the kid is also transferring somewhere but she promised to give the letter to the kid's mom.
I felt relieved after that. But as soon as I got home I saw a unfamiliar car. Hmm, maybe they changed? But it's not their type of a car. Pumasok na lang din ako. More shocked to see suit cases standing beside my couch.
I heard some noise inside the kitchen so I went there straight only to see him cooking something on my stove. I cleared my throat.
"Ehem, ehem. What on earth are you doing here?" I asked confused. He was supposed to take care of our son! "Uhm, cooking?" Takang sabi pa nito na kina irap ko. "Eros? Aren't you supposed to taking care of your son?"
"Our son baby. But I'm here with you, we'll work fast so we can go home on time." He said casually. Where the fuck did my friends go then? Nagbabasa ata ng isip ang isang to at sinabing lumabas lang daw saglit ang mga kaibigan para may bilhin. True to his words Jeremy and his love came back.
"So what are your plans now guys?" Andrew asked. I raised a brow at him and he smirk. "Wala teh, uuwi pagka tapos ng trabaho." I answered and he smiled maliciously. "Really?" Then Jeremy asked playfully.
"Kayo lang dalawa dito?" Umirap ako sa dalawa. What the hell are they trying to do huh? These two!
"What do you guys think, huh?" Pota! Isa pa ang loko na to! What are they even doing huh?! Omg! My pretty innocent ears! "Oh s'ya, aalis na kami. Maybe you want to meet the Damian 3.1" I almost scream at them. They left already, I feel awkward tuloy! What the heck!
Bakit kase nila sinasabi yon! I was the one who washed the plates since Eros is the one who cooked.
Habang nag huhugas ng pinggan ay ramdam ko naman ang mainit nitong titig. What the hell is he even doing here? I put down the plate and look at him. I was speechless when I saw him leaning on the counter top table, his arms and legs cross.
His brows furrowed.
I cleared my throat, pinunasan ang basang kamay. "A-ahm... Bakit ka nandito?" Umayos to ng tayo at hinimas ang panga. "To help my son's Mom?" He said nonchalantly. "Huh? You don't actually need to be here."
"Hmm, I also have a work." Nahihiyang nag iwas ako ng tingin at tumango bago bumalik sa ginagawa. Ang assuming ko naman ata. I sniffed when I felt him behind me. Ni hindi ko narinig ang mga pag hakbang nya. In instant, his masculine arms encircled my body. I felt a familiar sensation. I felt safe and nervous at the same time.
"You should teach me how to wash plates, so you won't get tired doing house chores."
"Siraulo ka ba? Kailan ka pa nawalan ng talent d'yan?" His heartfelt laughter sounded good to my ears.
I faced him and our lips met. Slowly I closed my eyes, initiated to deepen our kiss. A moan escaped my mouth when he bit my lip and suck it.
