The sight was dark and beautiful, and there was not a single cloud in the night sky. As the Hogwarts Express stopped at the train station, several new Hogwarts students hopped off.
Amongst them, there was boy who looked at the castle with cloudy, brown eyes.

Several hundred years had past, and Hogwarts was still the same. The boy looked at the school, holding a dandelion in between his long, slim fingers.

It was him. Tom Riddle. But of course, his sirname wasn't actually Riddle. He had a much different sirname now. But his appearance and first name were still the same. He still had his handsome fifteen year old look.

His past was quite similiar as well. He had no parents, and was abandoned at an orphange. A strange wizard acknowledged him of his wizarding abilities, and he was brought to Hogwarts. It felt like déjà vu.

Everything was quite odd to him, but Tom remembered everything.

Of how he almost ended the wizarding world, and how he died and almost ended up in Limbo.
But miraculously, he managed to get born again. He had gotten a second chance. Perhaps it was because of the true meaning behind his rather horrible acts.

But whatever the meaning behind his freedom was, he was not going to waste his chance.

Ever since he had gotten born again, he had only one goal. As the students poured out of the train, he scanned the crowd, hoping to see a certain student with (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes.

His one and only goal was to find (Y/N). If he had gotten a second chance, he was certain that (Y/N) had gotten one as well. Tom bit his lip in disappointment as his vision was blocked by several students. This year was also a failure. Tom sighed, giving up, and then proceeded to follow the teachers into the school.

Tom was already in his fifth year, and he still wasn't able to find his soulmate. It tore his heart apart as he remembered their terrible fate in their past life, but he knew that they had a better life ahead of them.

If they ever managed to find each other, that was. But Tom was determined to find her, no matter where she was. Whenever the holidays came by, he always travelled the land and tried his best to find her within the country.

But he had always failed to find his beloved half. He remembered where she lived, so he went to the place she had once lived. But the house he had visited had already been occupied by someone else.

Tom entered the Great Hall and sat at the Slytherin table with some other Slytherin students, and watched the first year enter the Great Hall with amazed expressions on their innocent faces.
It was quite funny to Tom, every time he thought about it. Even in second life, he was still in Slytherin. Funny.

Tom watched in boredom as he saw the first year students get sorted into their Houses. There were almost no new Slytherin students, but he didn't really care. Even though he had sworn to himself not to kill any students in his new life, and to have a slightly more brighter personality, his cold side hadn't faded a bit.
Changing was really hard for him.

"Ey, Tom." a Slytherin student smirked, poking him. Tom turned to the student with a calmer expression. "Are you not disappointed that there aren't many Slytherin students this year?" he asked him.

Tom shrugged, slightly careless. "I...do not know, honestly."

Tom had made two or three friends in his second life, thanks to the disappearance of his anti-social personality. But he was still known to be slightly monotonous and cold to some.

As the Sorting Ceremony ended, Tom gathered some his friends and headed off to the Slytherin Common Room.

Before he headed to his dorm, he peered over at the green sofa in the Slytherin Common Room and sighed. He missed sitting there side by side with his love. But sometimes...he had second thoughts.

What if she didn't love him anymore..? What if...she had forgotten all about him? His friends stopped and stared at Tom, before beckoning him.

"Tom? Are you coming or not?" they asked him, staring at him in confusion. Tom's mind came back to reality, and he sighed as he thought of his past memories.

"I apologize." he muttered lowly, and he brushed the negative thoughts off of his mind and headed off to his dorm to get ready to meet a new day.

~.+A Day Later+.~

Tom adjusted his uniform collar as he got ready for the new day. He made some final adjustments to his robes and headed out for a new day, holding some books in his hands.

As he walked through the corridor, he saw some girls walking alongside him, chuckling to each other. Tom slightly grimaced, but tried his best to maintain a straight face.

"Hey did you hear the news?" one of the girls whispered to the other.
"What news?" the other girl asked her.
"I heard that they're going to be a few fourth and fifth year students from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic transferring to Hogwarts!"

One of the girls squealed. "Really?! When?! And are they boys or girls?"

"They're coming today, and I think they're boys!!!!" the girl almost screamed, making Tom want to cover his ears as he was forced to hear her high pitched voice. They could speak to dolphins if they wanted to. Luckily, the fangirls were in the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw House, so they parted ways as they headed to different classes.

Tom sighed as he entered Potions class, and sat down on a seat, alone. He looked at the empty seat next to him, longing for (Y/N) to sit next to him just like their past life.

The Professor entered the class and started to teach. Honestly, Tom was extremely bored. He was already a genius, since he remembered everything from his past life, and adding to that, he still had his high intelligence with him.

Honestly, he felt very lucky. It would have been very difficult to learn everything all over again from scratch.

As class ended, Tom gathered his books and exited the classroom. School wasn't very thrilling for him. But he was quite thankful that he wasn't born as a Muggle in his second life, since that would have been very boring for a person who was a wizard in his past life.

But luckily, the Chamber of Secrets was still in the place he had remembered it, and thanks to his past life, he remembered just how to speak Parseltongue.

It helped him a ton, since he studied there to avoid his fangirls. The Basilisk was no longer there, and only its skeleton remained. He didn't really feel sad, because the Basilisk had always been a threat to his love in his past life.

Tom yawned slightly and entered the library for some extra studying, and he sat down at the exact same place he had tutored (Y/N), and started to study Potions.

He didn't really had to study anything, but studying Potions had always reminded him of (Y/N), and nostalgia overswept him whenever he did.

Tom opened his book and started to study. He was quite concentrated, so he didn't react when the library door creaked open. As it did, a certain girl walked through the library and leaned on the library wall behind him, and smiled cheekily as she watched the boy study.

"Found you."

Tom felt someone staring at him, so he looked behind him and as soon as he did, the book he was holding fell from his grasp.

Tom thought he was going to faint on the spot. In his sight, he saw a beautiful girl with (H/C) hair and warm (E/C) eyes, with a bright-sad smile on her pretty face.

It was her. The one he had been searching for fifteen years.

(Y/N).

Tom instantly got up from his chair and almost ran up to her, and grabbed her hand tightly. "You-you...You are (Y/N), correct..?" he stammered, meeting her eyes with his glassy ones.

As soon as he saw the girl nod, he pulled her into his embrace and hugged her tightly, trying his best not to cry. (Y/N) smiled softly as he finally let her out from his grasp.

"You were the transfer student from Beauxbatons?" he asked her, his eyes wide in disbelief. "I...I had heard that all the transfers were males..!"
As she heard his question, she laughed quietly.

"You shouldn't always believe rumours, Tom." she said, booping his nose. Tom didn't flinch, and instead grabbed her hand tightly.

"I've finally found you..." he said. "After so many years....! Do you still remember me? The war? Your...fate..?"
(Y/N) nodded slowly, sighing.
"The dark memories aren't pleasant." she confided. "But I guess it's better to remember than to forget."

Tom frowned, thinking of his past life as one of the darkest wizards of all time. It wasn't that pleasant, either. But right now, none of it mattered. He was on a new page, and he had finally found...her.

He met her eyes and looked at her seriously. "Please...this time...Will you stay with me?" he asked cautiously. "....Forever?"

As (Y/N) crossed her arms, Tom became nervous. Was she going to decline? Oh, of course she was; it would only be strange if she hadn't changed in the past few centur-

"Only if you promise not to do evil things like you did last time." she said suddenly. "I don't want a Third Wizarding War to occur, you know."
Tom was rather fazed by her unexpected answer, so he stood there for a few seconds, before nodding.

"Of course, I will do anything. I will keep that promise." he said sternly. "So...will you keep mine? A promise that you will never leave my side?"

A promise she didn't keep in their past life. But this time, Tom was going to make sure she was. (Y/N) beamed and nodded. "Of course I promise! I'll never leave you this time, never!"

"Forever?" Tom asked her looking deep into the girl's eyes.

(Y/N) laughed softly, gripping his hand more tightly. "Forever and a day."

Tom smiled brightly and pulled the girl in for a gentle kiss. The two had finally reunited after hundreds of years. They did have to start their youth and studies all over again but to the two of them, it didn't matter one bit.

They were together, and they were safe. Each had sworn not to break the promise made by the other, and the darkness had now faded. Nothing such as a cruel fate was waiting for them anymore.

This...was their happy ending.
