“We’re here,” Jennie says with a beaming smile. “Though I must add that this is only the beginning of our date, this isn’t all of it.”

“Pottery class,” Jisoo says, reading the sign. “I have never done this before,” she confesses, unsure how to even begin doing that.

“That’s okay,” Jennie replies, secretly having hoped this would be new for Jisoo. She has done this a few times and of course she’d love to help her. “I’ll give you a hand, both even.”

Jisoo contains the urge to shake her head at Jennie's naughty smile. She follows the girl inside and takes a seat when Jennie gestures at one.

“Okay, so I’m just… going to,” Jennie explains awkwardly as she sits down behind Jisoo. She moves her hands slowly from Professor Kims’ shoulders, down her arms, until she reaches her hands.

Jisoo can tell that Jennie is enjoying this. The girl feels warm, all pressed up against her back. She’s relieved that it’s not the other way around because she doesn’t want Jennie to feel that she’s different from most women.

“Take a deep breath,” Jennie whispers, kissing Jisoo's neck as she runs her hands back up her arms, slowly to her shoulders. “Relax,” she says, kneading Professor Kims’ shoulders, feeling how tense she is.

Jisoo would find it significantly easier to relax if Jennie's hands wouldn’t be over her like that. She puts her hands on the clay, feeling the girl moving her hands down her arms again until they reach her hands to help her shape the clay as the machine is on.

Jennie tries to cover up a laugh when Jisoo's hands slip, causing the clay to be quite deformed.

“I thought you were going to help me, Jennie,” Jisoo says, hearing the girl giggling quietly.

“You’re right,” Jennie replies, moving her hands up and down Jisoo's arms again. She can get used to doing this. “We could switch places if you want,” she offers. “Then you can place your hands on mine and feel how I do it.”

“That won’t be necessary,” Jisoo says, needing to decline Jennie's offer. “I will manage.”

Jennie tries to be serious again as she helps Jisoo shape the clay. “I know you have cousins, but do you have any siblings?” she asks, wanting to get to know Professor Kim even better.

“No, I have always been an only child,” Jisoo answers, which was okay with her. “Joohyun is my cousin, though she feels like a sister to me.”

“I was used to being an only child and when I heard about Lia and Jinhwan I wasn’t happy at first,” Jennie says, wishing she wouldn’t have reacted so negatively back then. “I was jealous because I felt like my dad had replaced me. By now I know better.”

It amazes Jisoo how open and honest Jennie speaks about her feelings. She can’t picture being that vulnerable, although she would say she has already shown some vulnerability around the girl.

“You were his only child and you struggled with the reality of having to share his love with others,” she says, which is what she grasped from what Jennie said.

“Yeah, I did,” Jennie confirms, because that’s what it was. “I was worried he wouldn’t love me as much anymore as he always did. I worried I’d have to compete with Lia and Jinhwan, and it didn’t help at the time that they lived in his house while I’ve always lived with my mother."

“This must be the most crooked pot ever,” Jisoo says when they’re done. “I thought you had done this before."

“I was a little bit distracted by your beauty,” Jennie replies, smiling as Jisoo's lips part just a little bit. “If we wash our hands we can go to the next place."

-

“Almost,” Jennie whispers. “I’ll tell you when."

Jisoo keeps her eyes closed, which is not an easy feat because she has to trust Jennie to guide her to make sure she doesn’t trip or bump into something. More than one activity truly isn’t necessary and she wouldn’t want the girl to have to pay a whole bunch of money for their date. She would have been content with a cup of coffee.

Jennie placed the money she got from her father at the bank, although she did take some of it for other purposes, such as her date with Jisoo. Maybe she’s being mushy, but she wants to make this date unforgettable for both of them.

Jisoo feels Jennie's warm hand slipping into hers all of the sudden, pulling her to a stop. She’s not sure how long they walked and where they are. Maybe some people are staring at them, but it doesn't matter cause she couldn't see them.

Jennie opens the door of the space she’s renting for a few hours. She smiles when she sees everything is ready, as she had requested it to be. It’s the first time she puts this much effort into someone, but that’s because Jisoo is special.

“You may open your eyes now, Jisoo.”

Jisoo has no idea what to expect, but when she opens her eyes her jaw drops. The space they’re standing in is filled with candles, so many candles. Aside from the candles it’s quite dark, but oh so perfect. Or at least, it is until she notices the hot tub, which has her swallowing hard.

“I got us a bottle of wine,” Jennie says, because she remembers Jisoo having smelled like wine before. “And don’t worry, there are several bathing suits and such,” she says, smiling as she pours their glasses of wine. Of course she’s not going to go in the tub naked or anything.

She frowns when Professor Kim isn’t moving at all. Jisoo accepts the glass of wine from Jennie and empties it in one go, which is not smart because that’s going to alarm the girl who is already too observant.

“Jisoo,” Jennie whispers, feeling concerned. “Is something wrong?"

Jisoo wouldn’t be able to hide that she’s different if she would get in that hot tub. Bathing suits are very skin tight.

“I would rather not go in the hot tub,” she answers, hoping that Jennie won’t ask further questions about it.

Jisoo could say she had a bad experience with a pool or something, but she’d hate to lie. Omission can be lying as well, though she’s not ready to share her secret. Coming out as a lesbian is no issue because she’s used to it, but coming out as intersex is something she saves for bed partners only.

Jennie feels confused and doesn’t understand why Jisoo wouldn’t want to go in it, but Professor Kim looks so uncomfortable right now that it seems better not to ask. She puts a hand on Jisoo's shoulder and smiles softly.

“I’m relieved you say that,” she says, her voice light. “Seeing you is already hot enough, the tub would probably be too much."

Jisoo smiles and lightly pushes Jennie. “Charmer,” she whispers, endeared that the girl is trying to make her feel better.

“You can call me anything you want,” Jennie replies, winking. She wonders when she got this flirty.

“Anything?” Jisok asks, watching Jennie's eyes sparkle. “How about tonight?"

“There goes my next line,” Jennie says, faking a gasp.

“I can throw you a line,” Jisoo replies as she grasps Jennie's hand and pulls her close. “There you go.”

“When you pull me in like that I…,” Jennie whispers, feeling worried that she might spook Jisoo away.

Instead of using words she runs her thumb over Professor Kims’ lips to bring the message across. The sexual tension that is building between them is going to kill her in all the best ways and she’s not sure how long she can take it. She’s fairly patient, but she’s tempted to make Jisoo hers.

Jisoo nods because she can feel it too. “I like candles,” she whispers, which may seem random now, but she needs Jennie to know that. She feels bad that she rejected the hot tub idea, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the idea failed.

“I had hoped you would,” Jennie replies, happy to hear that Jisoo likes those. “We could sit on the edge of the tub,” she suggests. “I promise I won’t push you in it."

“I suppose that could work,” Jisoo says with some reservations. She’s grateful that Jennie isn’t questioning why she doesn’t want to go in the hot tub. Someday she will share her secret, but she hopes that it won’t ruin their connection.

-

This has been one of the best days of Jennie's life. She enjoyed that pottery class with Jisoo and the talk they had in that space with all the candles around them. Right now she’s at Professor Kims’ place, sitting on her couch while she’s getting lost in her eyes.

Jisoo can’t remember the last time she was able to talk so much with someone.

“It is late,” she whispers, which she already knew when she let Jennie in.

“I know,” Jennie whispers, her eyes searching Jisoo's face. “Do you want me to go?” she asks, holding her heart as she hopes that Jisoo will say no because she doesn’t feel like leaving.

Jisoo should say yes so Jennie can be back at a decent time to get some sleep. They already spent a lot of time together and there will be other moments. Instead she finds herself shaking her head.

“I could stay for the night if that’s okay with you,” Jennie suggests, careful so she doesn’t overstep. “I’ll take the couch if that helps."

“You are not going to sleep on the couch, Jennie."

“Pillows down the middle then?” Jennie asks, grinning as Jisoo gives her a push.

The push isn’t all that hard, but she lets herself fall onto her back, smiling as she stretches her hands out towards Professor Kim.

Jisoo takes Jennie's hands, but when as expected the girl tries to pull her down, she pulls her up instead so she doesn’t end up on top of Jennie.

Jennie isn’t sure which one of them closed the gap, but when their lips are barely an inch apart she doesn’t care who closed it.

“Jisoo,” she breathes out.

Jisoo's fingers find purchase in Jennie's hair as her breath ghosts over her lips. The girl is so incredibly close now, it’s intoxicating. Jennie is closing her eyes like she knows what’s coming.

“Kissing on a first date is quite cliché, no?” Jisoo asks quietly, smiling when the girl’s eyes flutter open.

“Maybe it is, but this doesn’t feel like a first date,” Jennie answers, cupping Jisoo's cheeks. “I feel like I’ve been dating you for a while now."

Everything is ripping at the seams for Jisoo. Her walls are threatening to fall down and she feels like she needs Jennie to keep herself steady. She needs those lips to ground her.

Their lips meet in a soft languid kiss. Jisoo takes Jennie's bottom lip between her lips and nips lightly. Jennie parts her lips, a moan escaping her when Jisoo's tongue moves smoothly around hers. Jisoo's nails gently scratch Jennie's scalp as she pulls her closer, addicted to the taste of her mouth.
