𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐄𝐄𝐏𝐋𝐘, culture kept her hands folded neatly in her lap. holding back the tears that fell upon her water line — her sister, holding her tightly as she watched the scene in-front of her play out. she sniffled slightly leaning into her sister. "today we're here in remembrance of jahkye williams" the pastor said softly into the mic, reading off the scripture, he paused for a minute as he fixed the mic. "we have, friends and family gathered to help us rest this soul" he stated verbally as he clasped his hands together.
"it's okay, cece" her sister babbled hugging her sister tighter seeing her body posture slump down, she closed her eyes hoping when she opened them it'd all be just a dream. "he's in a better place" she exclaimed trying to convince herself as well. "I know bey" culture quickly responded her thick dominican accent rubbing off — she twisted her lip to the side as she listened to the speeches given from each individual.
she looked to the row infront of her, seeing her deceased boy-friends mother taking in the words as she viewed her sons casket, cupping his stiff face. "jah baby come back home" she paused before falling onto her knees as her body completely gave out. this broke culture she had a strong bond with the women — due to her relations with her son.
culture felt her body taking over, leading her to the side of 𝐉𝐀𝐒𝐈 , his mother. she wrapped her arms around her falling to her side. her body instantly melted into cultures "it's okay, we got this" she said rubbing her back. — culture was holding on for the comfort of her and for herself knowing she needed the reinsurance just as much.
hearing the pastor continue his speech the two sat their, resting themselves near his casket, it ached culture to see her significant other in this state she didn't know if she could 𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑹 find a love as good as his.
or maybe she just needs time, time to heal and time to remember her first love.
