Noah POV:

As I pulled Lily against me, I moaned in to her mouth, savouring the feel of her lips against mine. I had wanted to kiss her from the moment I had first laid my eyes on her, and it was even better than I had imagined. Her mouth tasted sweet, almost like honey. Threading my fingers through her hair, I couldn't help but smile against her lips, desire shooting through me and Lily certainly wasn't helping the situation. Her arms were wrapped around my neck, pulling me in. And her body was pressed tightly against mine, almost like we were one person.

After a minute, we both pulled back, gasping for air. "Holy hell..." I muttered, staring in to her eyes. "I've wanted to do that for a while."

"Mmm," Lily sighed, looking up at me with those gorgeous grey eyes.

I leaned forward, pressing my forehead against hers. "What are you doing to me?" I whispered, thinking about the desire I felt for her.

It was like nothing I'd ever felt before. Sure, when I first met her, it was all about getting her in to my bed. But after spending time with her, I realized that I didn't just want to her to be a one night stand.

"It's funny," she whispered back, our foreheads still touching. "I was just about to ask you the same question."

Reluctantly pulling away from her so I could see her face, I smiled when I saw the expression she had. Her blush was tinting her cheeks a subtle red and her eyes looked glazed over. "What are we doing?" I asked, taking hold of her hand and entwining our fingers.

She squeezed my hand, briefly looking down at the ground. Crap! Now I was starting to get worried. But when she looked back up at me, my worries vanished. She was smiling, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "I don't know," she answered. "I mean, when we met I thought you were a jack ass."

"Oh well!" I huffed, "Way to ruin a moment."

I just smiled as she burst out laughing. She stepped forward, our chests almost touching. "Noah, you may still be a jackass, but I think there's more to you," she whispered seriously. "But if you're looking for a one night stand, I'm not your girl."

Looking down at her, I frowned. The whole reason I had started pursuing her was just to spend a night with her, to get the desire I felt for her out of my system. But as I looked in to her beautiful grey eyes, I realized that I didn't want that anymore. I wanted to know her, be with her. So I leaned forward, smiling at her. "You've gotten under my skin Lily," I whispered, my lips hovering just an inch above hers. "I'm willing to take this slow."

"Are you sure?" she asked, looking up at me with a small smile.

"I've never been more sure of anything," I grinned, surprised at how true that really was. "Now, I think we'd better get back to the fair."

"Really?" Lily smirked at me. "I was kind of enjoying it back here."

I grit my teeth and shook my head at her, trying to suppress the urge to pull her against me and have my way with her right there in the field. "Oh no gorgeous. We have to go back to the fair, right now," I whispered, barely managing to get the words out. "Because if we don't, I'm afraid that I'll just take you right here."

Lily looked up at me with wide eyes, her cheeks going an even deeper shade of red. It was satisfying to see that she only seemed to blush around me. "Noah..." she murmured, biting her lip.

I just stared at her, the desire crashing through me in waves. Grabbing her hand, I pulled her around the corner and in to the bustling crowd, before I ravaged her right there. "Anything you wanna do?" I smiled, watching Lily gaze around the fair ground with a huge grin on her face. "We've got about ten minutes until we have to go and meet Jen and Pete."

"How about the Ferris wheel?" She replied, nodding over to it.

Looking in the direction she was nodding, I cringed. Heights really weren't my thing. "Uh, I mean - If you want to, I suppose - " I stuttered, before Lily laughed, interrupting me.

"Are you afraid of heights tough guy?" She giggled, bumping her shoulder against mine.

I looked down at her, trying to hide my discomfort at the thought of going up in the Ferris wheel. "What? No, I'm just, well you know - Fine! Heights may freak me out a little," I admitted, folding my arms in annoyance when Lily burst out laughing again.

"It's not funny!" I whispered, trying to hide my embarrassment. "It's a very rational fear. What if the Ferris wheel collapses or one of the carts flies off."

"Aww, is the little college boy scared of the iddy biddy Ferris wheel," Lily smirked, staring up at me.

But as she spoke, I noticed that she moved closer, stepping up to me so our chests were touching. I felt a stir in my groin, and I closed my eyes. How does she do this to me? Just one touch and she gets my blood pumping, and my heart racing. I flinched when I felt her breath against my neck. "Don't worry college boy. I'll protect you," she whispered, her breath brushing against my ear.

I opened my eyes and looked at her. She was standing on her tip toes, and she was smiling at me, a twinkle in her eye. "Ok," I muttered, the word almost getting lodged in my throat. I had a feeling she could tell me to wear a bin bag to college, and I would do it.

She nodded, satisfied, and grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the ferris wheel at the other side of the fair. There was practically no cue so Lily and I went straight through the barrier. "Have fun guys," the teenage girl manning the booth smiled at us as we passed.

"Yeah, thanks," I muttered, my heart racing as I looked up at the wheel. Holy shit! That's high.

As we stepped through and came to an empty cart, I hesitated. My palms were sweaty and I felt cold, despite the sun shining above. I gulped, thinking about having to go so far off the ground. "You look kind of green. Are you okay?" I heard Lily ask beside me.

I glanced at her, feeling slightly better when I saw the concerned look on her face. "Yeah, I'm ok," I smiled, trying to reassure her (and maybe myself too).

"We don't have to go up there," she smiled. "Let's just go on something else. How about the haunted house?"

"No it's fine, we'll go on this," I nodded, determined. "It wouldn't bode well for my manliness if I can't go up on some stupid ferris wheel."

"Only if you're sure. But I wouldn't worry about your manliness," she whispered next to me. "You look pretty manly to me."

Turning around to stare at her, I saw her arch her brow, an amused look on her face. God she looked cute! I just grinned at her as she took my hand and walked in front of me, leaning forward to step over the barrier to get in to the cart. My eyes immediately darted towards her ass. As she climbed over, her sweats moulded to her shape, showing off her killer curves. Damn! I'd agreed to wait and take it slow, but I wanted nothing more than to go over to her and just rip her clothes off. But, I didn't want to screw this up, so I was willing to do anything, even if it meant suffering in silence. As she let go of my hand, I took a deep breath and stepped over in to the cart.

"Jeez," I muttered as it wobbled when I stepped over.

"Just don't think about it," Lily said beside me.

I looked over at her and nodded, trying to focus on anything but the slow swinging of the cart. Suddenly, it jerked, moving slowly backwards as it rose higher. My hand shot forward, gripping the bar in front. I was gripping it so hard that my knuckles were turning white. Gulping, I looked around to see that we were rising high above the park. The surrounding fields were clear to see, filled with people having picnics, walking their dogs and throwing Frisbees. Holy crap, we were high. As I felt my heart beat begin to accelerate, I felt Lily's hand suddenly on my knee.

Turning towards her, I stared. Focus on something else, I thought over and over. So that's what I did. I focused on Lily, and the way the sun made her blonde hair glisten. And the way her grey eyes were looking in to mine, making sure I was okay. I looked down at her lips, noticing the way they were slightly parted. As I focused on her, I felt my heartbeat decelerate. Breathing out slowly, I smiled at her.

"I'm okay," I nodded, putting my hand over Lily's and threading my fingers through hers.

"You sure," she asked, looking at me with concern in her eyes.

"Yeah, I just look at you and the fear goes away," I shrugged, wanting to punch myself in the face for sounding so corny.

She just looked at me, a look of surprise on her face. My breath caught in my throat as she leaned in to me, pressing her lips softly against mine. Our lips were barely touching, but a jolt of electricity shot through me. It felt different from the kiss earlier. That one had been pure fire, pure passion. But this one, it was sweet, gentle. I had never kissed a girl like this, and I had never felt the desire to before now. But as Lily's lips pressed gently against mine, I savoured them, hoping the kiss would never stop.

So when she slowly pulled away, I moaned lightly, already missing the feel of her lips on mine. "Why did you do that?" I whispered with wide eyes.

"Because I wanted too," she smiled, squeezing my hand.

I just stared at her. This girl was making me feel things that I had never expected to feel. And it felt good. "Let me take you out tonight" I blurted, hoping she would say yes.

"Really?" she asked, looking up at me.

"Yeah. I want to do this right. Our first official date," I nodded.

"Okay," she whispered, grinning at me with a huge smile.

Letting out the nervous breath I had been holding, I grinned back. But after it finally hit me that she had just said yes, I cringed inwardly. Sure, I had taken girls out before, a lot of girls. I usually took them out for a nice meal, and then on to a club. After that, they were usually putty in my hands, willing to do anything. But as my mind drifted back to those nameless girls, I knew that Lily was different. I didn't want our first proper date to be the same. I wanted it to be new, exciting. As I wondered what we could do, a thought suddenly popped in to my head about where to take her.

Perfect, I thought, already thinking about having Lily all to myself, on our first official date.

Lily POV:

I looked all around me, smiling when I saw families filling up the park below looking like they were having lots of fun. The sun was shining, and I couldn't help but glance out of the corner of my eye to Noah, who was sitting beside me. His fingers were entwined with mine, and our hands were resting on his knee. He was concentrating on the people below, his fear seeming to have disappeared. As I studied his profile, I felt a little pang in my stomach. His dark hair was shining in the sunlight, already dry from the little water fight we had had earlier. It was swept back away from his forehead in a messy heap. He was still just wearing his shorts, leaving him bare-chested. As my eyes drifted downwards, I had to fight the urge to reach over and run my fingers down his chest. I knew if I started, I wouldn't stop.

And as I studied Noah, I grinned to myself. He had agreed to take it slow, even asking me out on a first date. Now that I had not expected. But thinking about tonight, I honestly couldn't wait. This annoying player had really gotten to me, I just hoped he wouldn't turn out to be like the rest. But I had a feeling that Noah was different.

"So where're you taking me?" I asked him, hoping he would give me some kind of clue.

"Sorry gorgeous, you'll just have to wait and see," he grinned at me, winking.

"Oh come on, just a little clue," I pleaded, snuggling up close to him and brushing my breast purposely against his shoulder. "I'll make it worth your while."

"Very tempting," he murmured, staring down at me with a ferocious intensity that made me shiver involuntarily. "But we'll have to reschedule. I want it to be perfect, so no clues."

"You just missed a free pass buddy," I shrugged, sitting back against the cart and grinning at him.

I jumped in surprise as he moved up the cart quickly, effectively trapping me against the side, with no space to move. His bare chest was pressed against my shoulder, and his face was only millimetres away from mine. "Don't worry, you'll be giving me another free pass very soon," he whispered, bringing his hand up to stroke my bottom lip gently. "And like I've told you before, I will be making you scream my name."

I shuddered, thinking about the promise he was making. Holy hell, I had never been so turned on before. Staring up at him, I gently licked the tip of his finger that was still stroking my bottom lip. He inhaled sharply, looking at me with hooded eyes. I reached up and threaded my fingers through his damp hair, intending to pull him to me but all of a sudden, a voice rang out,

"Ok guys, time's up," the girl at the booth shouted, "It's time to vacate the Ferris wheel. Hope you had a good ride."

Noah reluctantly scooted over, a look of disappointment on his face. It's fair to say that I was disappointed too; we were just getting to the good stuff. I hadn't even noticed that we had stopped. Turning around, I watched as Noah climbed out of the cart. When he had stepped out, he turned back around and offered his hand, smirking at me. As I reached out and took it, he pulled me up roughly, practically sending me crashing into his solid chest.

"To be continued," he whispered in my ear softly.

"We'll see," I whispered back, gently trailing my fingers up his chest.

As he sucked in a breath, I just laughed softly, pulling my hand from his and sidestepping past him. Looking over my shoulder, I just saw him still standing where he had been, obviously checking out my ass. "You coming or not?" I laughed.

"Just admiring the view," he shouted back, before winking at me and jogging forward to my side.

"Guess it's about time we go and meet up with Jen and Pete," I said, pulling him towards the entrance to the fair on the right hand side.

"Oh man, do we have to?" Noah whined, taking hold of my hand again. "I was having fun, getting to have you all to myself."

"We did say we would," I mumbled, my mind flashing back to the first time Noah had kissed me. I just couldn't get it out of my head.

As we weaved in and out of the crowd and stepped through the exit, I saw Jen and Pete standing to the side under the shade of a tree, both eating ice-creams. Looking down at mine and Noah's hand entwined, I started to pull my hand away. But as I tried, Noah gripped my hand tighter, refusing to let me go.

"Noah?" I asked, wondering what he was doing. "I didn't think you'd want people to know that we're, uh, you know - umm -"

But as we walked up to Jen and Pete, he just squeezed my hand gently and smiled at me. "I want everyone to know that you're mine," he whispered, a hint of possessiveness in his voice that me feel rather giddy. We reached Jen and Pete a minute later, and I noticed the way Jen eyed our hands.

"So, have fun?" she grinned at me.

"Yep," I said innocently, refusing to meet her gaze.

"We had a lot of fun," I heard Noah say beside me, sounding very amused.

"I bet you did," Jen whispered, nodding at me.

Glancing up from the piece of chewing gum I was intently studying on the floor, I looked at Jen. She was arching an eyebrow at me, but she was smiling. "Did you guys have fun?" I asked, glancing towards Pete.

He seemed very angry at something. I noticed his gaze was fixed on Noah, sending daggers in his direction. When he heard me speak, he quickly turned in my direction, the anger vanishing from his eyes. Well that's odd, I thought. "Are you ok Pete?" I asked him.

"Oh yeah I'm fine," he said, smiling at me. "Just a headache, that's all. So are you guys a couple now?"

I just stared at him as he blurted out the question. "Uh..." I trailed off, wondering why he had asked it, and not even really sure how to answer it. Struggling, I looked up at Noah, wondering what to say.

"Yeah we are," Noah smiled at me, looking in to my eyes. "She's my girl."

Glancing up at him, I grinned. Hearing him say, 'My girl,' sent a spark of joy running through me. He was looking down at me with a small smile, and I squeezed his hand. All of a sudden, I heard Jen clear her throat beside us. "Jeez guys, get a room," she laughed.

"Oh don't worry, we will," Noah replied, stepping closer to me and swinging his arm over my shoulder. "As a matter of fact, we're having our first official date tonight."

"Really?" Jen asked, flicking her gaze towards me and smirking.

"Uh huh," I nodded, just as a vibrating sound erupted from Noah's pocket.

I watched as he reached in to his shorts and pulled out his phone. Flipping it open, he placed it to his ear, a huge grin breaking out. "Okay okay. I'll be there in twenty. Yeah. Alright dude. See ya."

As he placed the phone back in his pocket, he turned towards me. "That was Dean and Mark. They're practically begging me to check out this new game, and they're bribing me with pizza."

I laughed, standing up on my toes to lightly kiss his lips. "Go say hi to Dean for me. I'll see you tonight."

"I can't wait," he murmured, leaning down to lightly brush his lips against mine before turning around and jogging across the field. "Lily, you are a fiery vixen!" He yelled loudly as he ran, making me blush like crazy as a few people on the field turned to stare at me. Jeez!

Shaking my head slowly and smiling softly to myself, I turned around to find Jen grinning at me. "Well, I need updates. And I need them now."

"Dude..." I laughed, aware that Pete was still there. He hadn't said a word since Noah had said we were kind of together.

Smiling at him, I was un-nerved to see him glaring at me. "He's not good enough for you," he said suddenly, his voice hard.

"It doesn't really have anything to do with you," I said, frowning at him. Switching my focus to Jen I just shook my head. "I'm gonna go home, I need to take a shower. You coming?"

"Uh no, I've got a friend meeting me in town, we're going for a little beauty therapy," she grinned, wiggling her hands at me, indicating she was going for a manicure.

"Ok, I'll catch you later then," I smiled at her. "Bye Pete."

Without waiting for an answer from him, I turned around and walked away, soon picking up my pace until I was sprinting across the field towards home. Pete was starting to creep me out too, just like he was creeping out Noah. But as I ran, all thoughts about Pete were forgotten as my thoughts started to drift to Noah. My mind flashed back to the way he kissed me. Not the first kiss, but the one on the ferris wheel. It was gentle, and it me made me smile just thinking about it. The prospect of going out with him tonight kind of scared me. I hadn't been with anyone in a long time, but Noah was changing that, slowly but surely.

I guess there's only one question; what the hell do I wear?
