Captain Lindemann looked through his binoculars.
The glowing hostile ship was wrecked, the whole bow was violently torn off, and the deck was peeled upwards like the skin of a potato.
Red flames flew from the wreckage, with reddish smoke coughing out.
Small pieces of ripped apart metal dotted the water near the ship.
This was incredible luck for a first salvo,
No crew seemed to be coming out into the water, so either they were all killed, or there was none on board.
Either way, if there was crew, the swiftness of the ship's sinking surely would've drowned them quickly.
And, within two minutes, it was gone.
Captain Lindemann put his binoculars down, looking upon the sight with satisfaction,
He nodded
"They aren't going to be a problem anymore...." He said.
"Get damage control to inspect any damage that ship might've caused...." He then ordered.

Daniel was next to his gun battery, preparing to shoot.
However, it appeared that he wouldn't need to shoot at all,
The main gun absolutely obliterated the enemy ship with a single salvo.
Sailors whooped and cheered like madmen upon seeing the fireball extend upwards.
"Well..." Daniel said, as both he and Hans stared at the wreckage
"Looks like we don't need to shoot anymore." Daniel said.
Hans didn't pay a hint off attention,

A short time earlier.
Z23, Prinz Eugen, and Graf Zeppelin were escaping the Royal Navy pursuers.
However, their chase had been interrupted.
A Siren laser beam zoomed near the group of Kansens.
Momentarily disorienting them for a bit as they registered that a third party had entered the chase for the giant warship.
Z23 looked over her shoulder.
A siren ship, it looked like a light cruiser.
"We've got more company!" Z23 shouted.
"More Royal Dogs coming out to play?" Graf Zeppelin asked, shooting as she attempted to dodge shells from King George V.
"No! Sirens! Look over there!" Z23 pointed, at the glowing Siren ship
"Were they shooting at us?!" Graf Zeppelin shouted the question.
"I don't know! I didn't get time to see!" Z23 shouted.
*BZOOOOOOM!
The Siren ship fired a laser beam
They weren't aiming for them, they were aiming for the large warship!
However, even though Siren beam weapons were powerful, they only created burns in the side of the ship, unable to get through the giant vessel's hull.
Any mass production ship before this would've easily succumbed to siren fire that intense, but it seemed to take it without as much as a flinch,
The laser beams just impacted the side, and created a black burnmark
Only thing they ended up really doing was damaging the paint.
But instantly, the giant ship came to life,
People started running around on the decks, zooming from one side of the ship to the other.
Some emerging from doors on the superstructure.
The ship turned hard to starboard, almost leaning on its side a little.
The gun turrets started to turn, the massive barrels sticking up like giant fingers.
And then
*B-B-B-BOOOOOOOOOM!
*B-B-B-BOOOOOOOOOOM!
A giant plume of fire emitted from the gun barrels, launching out over dozens of meters.
The shockwave from the guns was enough the make Z23 feel the shockwaves in her stomach.
She looked over at the siren ship.
Many of the shell splashed into the water,
But then one shell hit.
That one shell was all it took to turn the siren ship's front into a twisted metal flower, all of the metal peeling off to look like metallic flower petals.
The ship practically disintegrated after a single shot.
And ships that size could seriously hurt Z23, and they'd take time and dozens to hundreds of shots to kill normally,
Little did Z23 actually know however, was that both the Iron Blood and Royal Navy kansens were all staring at the great ship that made short work of the siren cruiser.

Tester blinked,
That was certainly not the intended result.
Usually a Knight class light cruiser would be able to make short work of a human crewed vessel, but it turns out this was a far more capable ship than she realized.
The sheer blunt force trauma and the crude explosive of the single projectile that impacted the knight had completely torn open the hull, and detonated the ammo storage for its main plasma weapons.
Speaking of the plasma weapons, they seemed to have no effect on the hull of this ship.
Intriguing...
If a knight was not nearly enough,
Then she would need more to properly assess the warship's combat potential.
Perhaps, maybe, five Rooks, and a Queen could work.
Tester then sensed something, and her view narrowed as she looked over past the giant human-crewed ship.
Iron Blood and Royal Navy kansens seemed to be staring at the crewed vessel rather than fighting.
They were a threat to the experiment....
Luckily, Observer had prepared for this experiment, and provided a way to get rid of unwanted variables.
"Oh Purifier, you are so lucky....." Tester said.
"Mhm?~" Purifier said from behind Tester's back, almost like, she knew what was going on.
"Oh, hello Purifier? Could you do me a favor and.... Remove those unwanted pests...." Tester said.
"Hehehe, With pleasure!" Purifier said, immediately zooming off to accomplish her task.
Now, the second phase could begin...
