A boy by the name of, "Lie Ren" woke up to his long term friend, "Nora Valkyrie" in his face Nora says in a excited tone,
"Wake up, lazy butt!" She dashed to the side
Ren sat up groaning as Nora hounds hums. She says in a singing voice,
"It's morning! It's morning! It's morning! It's morning!" Nora dashes away as Ren sighed.
After a few he got up and went to the bathroom as Nora followed him. He pulled out his tooth brush and started brushing his teeth.
Nora held her's as well but didn't brush her teeth. She continued on talking,
"I can't believe we've been at Beacon for a full twenty-four hours! Not that I thought we'd get kicked out or anything, I mean, you're the perfect student and I'm... well, I'm me! But it's just crazy, you know?"
As she continued on as she brushed her teeth Ren finished brushing his teeth as well as her and went to his sleeping bag as Nora followed.
She grabbed her hair brush and started brushing her hair as Ren rolled up his sleeping bag and tied a string around it to keep it in a roll.
She chatted about as Ren was tightening the string around the sleeping bag,
"We've been friends for soooooooo long! What are the odds we'd still be together? Well, not "together-together..." Not that I'm not saying that you're not handsome; you are handsome, but that'd just be weird, right?"
As they finished up they heading to the cafeteria and started grabbing breakfast. they sat and started eating. Ren was cutting up his Bach of pancakes with Nora half done with hers. She muffled out caused by her eating with her mouth full,
"Right! What was I thinking? But still, I hope we end up on the same team together!" She slurped up the pancake was hanged out of her mouth and says with her finger up meaning she has an idea,
"Oohhhh! We should come up with some sort of plan," she placed her hand on Ren's shoulder,
"to make sure we end up on the same team together! What if we bribe the headmaster & Headmistress?"
She puts her hand on her chin, "No, that won't work. They have the school."
They finished up eating and headed to the locker room. Nora got her weapon and Ren went to his locker and opened it as Nora continues on,
"I know! We'll have some sort of signal!"
She got a little closer to him, "Like a distress signal!"
She gasped and dashed to other his side, "A secret signal so we can find each other in the forest!"
She dashed to other side now closer to him. Her finger pointing at him as she asked,
"Can you imitate a sloth?"
Ren finally responded back,
"Nora." After a moment Nora was at his other side and says,
"Yes, Ren?" He sheathed his weapon in his sleeves and says,
"I don't think sloths make a lot of noise." She started to think for a moment and says in excitement,
"That's why it's perfect! No one will suspect we're working together!" Ren smiled and closed his locker, he says to her,
"Come on Nora, let's go." As he started walking nora says shortly following behind him,
"But not "together-together..." " she giggled.
They passed by Ruby and Yang. Ruby getting her weapon out of her locker and seen the two passing by, As she passed by she says to her Yang,
"Wonder what those two are so worked up about?" Yang turned to ruby and says,
"Oh, who knows? So, you seem awfully chipper this morning!" As she said that Ruby glanced at Yang and looked back at her weapon. She says getting her weapon out of her locker,
"Yep! No more awkward small talk or "getting-to-know-you" stuff. Today, I get to let my sweetheart do the talking." She started stroking her weapon and sighed happily as she rested her head on her weapon.
Yang says to her sister cradling the weapon, making ruby lift her head from the weapon,
"Well, remember, Ruby, you're not the only one going through initiation. If you wanna grow up, you're gonna have to meet new people and learn to work together." Ruby sighed in Frustration,
"You sound like Dad!" She shoved her weapon back into her locker as says turning to her sister, "Okay, first of all: What does meeting new people have to do with fighting? And secondly: I don't need people to help me grow up!" She crossed her arms and says proudly,
"I drink milk!"
Yang says gesturing both her arms, "But what about when we form teams?" She rested her hand on her hips. Ruby turned away and says suddenly nervous,
"Um, I don't know, I... I'll just be on your team or something..." Yang was hesitant but says it anyways. she brings her hair to her shoulder and starts strokes it,
"Maybe you should try being on someone else's team?"
Ruby stepped closer to Yang and pointed her finger in her face, making Yang stop stroking her hair,
"My dear sister Yang," she placed her hand on her hips as she says in slight anger,
"are you implying that you do not wish to be on the same team as me?" Yang put her hand slightly up and says,
"What? No! Of course I do! I just thought... I don't know, maybe it would help you... break out of your shell!"
Ruby stepped back from her sister as she busted out saying,
"What the-?! I don't need to 'break out of my shell'! That's absolutely-" Jaune passed by ruby and yang and basically finishes Ruby sentence,
"-Ridiculous!" He walked by with a map in hand seeming lost.
He looked around trying to find his locker,
"There's no way I put my gear in locker 636 yesterday! I would've remembered having to count that high! Why does this have to happen today?" He passed by Weiss and the Red haired girl. Weiss turned to the red haired girl,
"So, Pyrrha," this made Pyrrha turn to Weiss,
"have you given any thought to whose team you'd like to be on? I'm sure everyone must be eager to unite with such a strong, well-known individual such as yourself!" Pyrrha hummed,
"Hmm... I'm not quite sure. I was planning on letting the chips fall where they may."
"Well..." she gestures her hand,
"I was thinking maybe we could be on a team together."
Pyrrha thought for a moment and says,
"Well, that sounds grand!"
"Great!" Weiss thought as she turned the other way and adopts to a scheming pose with a manic smile in her head,
"This will be perfect! The smartest girl in class combined with the strongest girl in class! Together we will be unstoppable! I can see it now! We'll be popular! We'll be celebrities! We'll get perfect grades! Nothing can come between us now!"
Jaune come in between them as his whole body leaned on his arm that was place on a locker, this interrupted Weiss thoughts as she turned to him,
"You know what else is great? Me. Jaune Arc. Nice to meet you." Weiss crossed her arms and says in a irritated tone,
"You again?" Pyrrha hurriedly letting her be seen by Jaune. She waved to him and says,
"Nice to meet you, Jaune!" Jaune says as he shoved Pyrrha away,
"Yeah, Yeah." He got closer to Weiss and says,
"So, Weiss, couldn't help but overhear your" he started striking a pose,
"fondness of me the other day."
Weiss face palm and says,
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me!" Jaune turned to Weiss and says with his arms up,
"Don't worry! No need to be embarrassed! So, been hearing rumors about teams!" He crossed his arms proudly,
"I was thinking you and me would make a good one!" He uncrossed his arms and gestures his hand that's still in a fist,
"What do you say?"
Pyrrha says getting his attention,
"Actually, I think the teams are comprised of four students each, so-"
"You don't say." jaune interrupted her as he moved to his next target,
"Well, hot stuff, play your cards right and maybe you could join up with the winning team."
Weiss raced In between them as she stretched her arms making distance between them,
"Jaune, is it?" She lowered her arms and stood formally beside Pyrrha as she gestured her hand towards Pyrrha,
"Do you have any idea who you're talking to?"
Jaune leaned forward staring at Pyrrha,
"Not in the slightest, snow angel." Weiss say's introducing her,
"This is Pyrrha." Pyrrha waves to Jaune,
"Hello again!"
"Pyrrha graduated top of her class at Sanctum!" Jaune shrugged,
"Never heard of it."
Weiss scoffed,
"She's won the Mistral Region Tournaments four years in a row! A new record!" Jaune still confused on who Pyrrha was,
"The what?" Weiss glared at Jaune and after a short moment start shouted out in anger as she rapidly flares her arms,
"She's on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes box!" As she flared her arms it made Pyrrha and Jaune step back.
When Jaune heard this he gasped,
"That's you?!" He thought about the cereal designed box behind her like a commercial,
"But they only do that for star athletes and cartoon characters!" Pyrrha with a smile on her face and says,
"Yeah, it was pretty cool." Her brows furrowed as she says,
"Sadly, the cereal isn't very good for you." Weiss spoke making the imaginary cereal box behind her fall,
"So, after hearing all of this, do you really think you're in a position to ask her to be on your team?"
Jaune now sad as he says hanging his head,
"I guess not... Sorry..." Pyrrha started to approach jaune and place a hand on his shoulder as she says,
"Actually, Jaune," she removed her hand,
"I think you'd make a great leader!" Jaune immediately brightened back up,
"D'oh, stop it!" Weiss approached behind Jaune and told Pyrrha as she placed her fists on her hips,
"Seriously, please stop it. This kind of behavior should not be encouraged!"
Jaune turned to Weiss and says,
"Sounds like Pyrrha's on board for Team Jaune. Spots are filling up quick!" She bends down to her height,
"Now, I'm not supposed to do this," he stood back up and gestures his hand,
"but maybe I could pull some strings, find a place for you." He bent down again but his time his face was closer to Weiss,
"What do you say?" When Jaune got up in her face she stepped back as she was uncomfortably by this, she says to him,
"All right, that's a bit too close!" She says to Pyrrha,
"Pyrrha, a little help, please?!"
Jaune turned to Pyrrha but his eye widened when he seen Pyrrha weapon charge at him, before he could get away from the spear charging at him. He was strikes by it, sending the young man flying back. Pyrrha approached and apologized to Jaune,
"I'm sorry!" An announcement plays on the intercom system, Glynda voice was heard,
"Would all first-year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? Again, all first-year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately."
Weiss walked passed Jaune with Pyrrha following her. She says to Jaune putting her hand slightly out making her "Milo" come into her hand,
"It was nice meeting you!" As the spear went into her hand it dropped Jaune onto the ground as jaune says,
"Likewise..." Pyrrha walked pass him as he said that.
Ruby and Yang approached Jaune as Yang says to him,
"Having some trouble there, lady-killer?" Ruby offered him a hand as he says,
"I don't understand. My dad said all women look for is confidence! Where did I go wrong?" He accepted her hand and got up as Yang says,
" "Snow Angel" probably wasn't the best start." Ruby says as she helped, supported him, and his self-esteem, whilst following Yang "Come on, Jaune, let's go."
|AT THE BEACON CLIFF|
You stood formally beside Ozpin with his coffee cup in hand as Glynda stood with a tablet scroll beside and behind you both. Ozpin says to the students that's stood on top of silver tiles,
"For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Glynda says after him,
"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today." You spoke after you heard ruby say something quietly,
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well."
ruby groans and you continued on,
"That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years." After you said that Ruby felt like she was shattered into millions of pieces, she suddenly yelled out,
"Whaaaat?!" Nora turned to Ren and says,
"See? I told you-!" Ozpin interrupted Nora as he glanced at her and turned back to the rest of the children,
"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die."
Jaune nervously laughed and gulped by what professor Ozpin said. Ozpin continues on explaining,
"You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?" Jaune raised his hand and says,
"Yeah, um, sir?" Ozpin interrupted him,
"Good! Now, take your positions." The student did what he said whilst Jaune still had his hand up.
Jaune says nervously, "Uh, sir? I've got, um... a question." Beneath Weiss the silver tile launched her into the air. Jaune asking both of you, but most Oz,
"So, this landing... strategy thing... Uh, wha-what is it? You're, like, dropping us off or something?" Ozpin says informing him,
"No. You will be falling." More student get launched off, as Jaune continued on asking his questions,
"Oh, uh, I see... So, like, did you hand out parachutes for us?"
"No. You will be using your own "landing strategy.""
It got closer to Jaune turn to be launched off,
"Uh-huh... Yeah." Yang turned her head to Ruby and winked at her as she puts on her sun glasses and went back to her stance and got launched off.
Ruby turn to Jaune and smirked at him as she got launched off. Jaune continued on,
"So, what exactly is a landing strategYYY!..." the young man cried out as he went flying.
You and Oz turned to the children that are in the air. Oz took a sip of his drink in the coffee cup. You were about to say something but your scroll– "Bing!".
This got both you, Oz, and Glynda attention. You pulled your scroll out of your long f/c coat and checked it. You sighed out and said to them both,
"I have to get going." You turn around and placed a hand on Oz's shoulder and said with a smile,
"I'll be back tomorrow morning for the naming of teams." Oz nodded as you both shared a look. You removed your hand and started to walk away.

"This was originally suppose to be done days ago but I haven't had a lot of motivation to write but I still do enjoy writing this fanfic, but mostly because I forget about it-.
Also yes I did change the title of my story and I'm going to stay with "the mother of gods".
I'm also going to skip "the first step p2" to half of "Players and Pieces" I'm sorry but I don't want to write about them fighting. I've done that before and lets say I got so exhausted for writing and searching for there fighting style or some sh!t like that for long hours of time.
