I began to dopily look around my dim surroundings. "Holy shit what the fuck just happened?" I groaned to myself, rubbing the suddenly throbbing ache in my right shoulder.
A low grunt enunciated from under my body followed by some slight squirming. But before I could even swivel my head down to its source, a pair of large hands reached up out of the darkness and forcefully yeeted my body to the side.
"Get the fuck off of me." He huffed despotically.
It had all happened so fast, that I had no idea that i was just sitting on top of a person. "Huh?" I squinted my eyes towards him. "Wait, did I land on you?"
He sharply scoffed and hoisted himself up to onto his feet. Even if it was hard to see, i still almost immediately felt a slight twinge of uneasiness as i gazed up at his hazy, towering figure. Almost as if there was a little voice in the back of my mind warning me to get as far away from this fucking beast of a man as possible.
"Why else would you be on top of me?" He said in a miffed tone, sweeping his hands over his tank top to get the dirt and tree bark off.
Oh my god.... No..... dont say it.....I CANT HOLD IT!

I held a scuffed hand to my mouth attempting to stifle a snicker. But the look on his face... I just couldn't hold it in anymore. The atrocity of a laughing fit had already commenced.
The man was a bit taken aback by my action, as his initial animosity was promptly replaced with perplexity. He found himself speechless, staring down at me with a puzzled, and also disgusted, glint in his eye.
I sat my self up and held my now aching stomach, wiping a tear away from my face with a sleeve. "Oh man... you really gotta choose your words more carefully, buddy. I spare no one." I said in between residual chuckles.
The man bent back down and picked up what i assumed to be his phone off the grass."You on drugs or something?" He asked.
"Im high on life." I said, eventually rising up to my feet and taking a step closer to him. Now that i was at this new angle, I was able to make out a bit of a face with the dim light of a distant street lamp.
"Holy shit."
The man cocked a brow. "What?"
"Who on earth did your hair? That shits fucking glorious. Your neck tattoos are badass too." I said in awe. He had a disheveled wolf-cut layered with stunning blue highlights and lowlights, perfectly contrasting his gilded cat-like eyes and black ink tattoos that lined his neck and chest.
He gives an unsure up and down glance before raking his fingers through his hair with a sigh. "I do it myself." He said still rather unamused.
"Wait are you being for real right now? Can you do my hair?"
"I could... but im not going to." He said with a light smirk.
Thats when i noticed the small, bloody scuffs on his knuckles and a black duffle bag on the sidewalk next to where i fell on him. "Is that your bag?" I asked, nodding to its general direction.
"I Just left the gym." He said bluntly.
I sighed in relief. "Whew i thought for a second that you were a drug dealer or murderer or something."
"Where'd you get that idea?"
"Uhhh strange buff scary dude walking alone in the park at night with a mysterious bag and fucked up knuckles."
He bit back a small chuckle and looked down at his hands. They were indeed fucked. "Huh." He said, acting as if he just noticed them. It honestly confused me.
"Don't worry. Im not gonna ask when and how that happened." I said before pulling my fingers in a zipping motion over my lips. "I go to the gym on Morioh street sometimes after school if I don't have to take care of my little brother."
"Brother huh? I go to that one too every day except sundays." He said.
"Seriously? Why don't I ever see you?"
"Look at the time, dickhead. Also just got to town recently... Family stuff."
"Ah. You plan to stay long?"
"Well see." There was a long, bitter pause before he scooped up his bag and slung it onto his shoulder. "Its getting pretty late, you should probably get going, and i don't mean up another tree." He said followed by a playful scoff.
I wave of embarrassment crept its way into the pit of my stomach as I placed a hand on the back of my neck. "Ha ha... yeah sorry about that. Oh! I'm Y/N by the way. Whats your name?"
He paused hesitantly before turning his back to walk away.
"Taiju."
"Oh! Wait a sec!" I fished around in My backpack that was slumped on the ground, and pulled out my notebook. "Since your new, if you ever need a gym buddy ill definitely make you look good with how utterly pathetic I am."
I paused to scribble on the corner of the page before ripping it off and running up to slip it in Taiju's pocket. "Theres my digits. I hope I'll see you around, it was fun running- well... crashing into to you, Taiju.
See ya!" I picked up my backpack and quickly running to the darkness before he had the chance to refuse or perhaps strangle me to death.
