"Can we still get ice cream?" I croaked.
I felt Rivers's chest rumble with laughter, "yes Taliah we can still get ice cream. After school though." He stated.
I lifted my head from his chest while wiping my tears from my previous breakdown.
I looked at River with a bit of embarrassment. I broke down in front of him.
I cried like a horse I probably sounded like one too.
I sobbed on his chest! Oh my gosh, I'm going to die of embarrassment.
I slowly felt my cheeks heat up. I'm sure he can see my cherry-red cheeks despite my light/tan complexion.
River smiled so hard I could see his dimples appear.
I think I'm gonna melt.
The bell rang indicating lunch was over.
"Come on Elmo let's get to class," He said.
I rolled my eyes but smiled nonetheless, I stood with him and started walking towards the entry door.
"Hold on Taliah." River stopped me.
He came in front of me and knelt on his knee, he bend a bit further and started tying my shoe.

"There, now we can get going. We wouldn't want you getting hurt now would we?" He questioned.
I'm sure I was red again so I murmured a 'no' and sped walked to the doors.
I knew River was following me because I could hear his shoes slap the floor with every step.
I know his class is on the other side of the building so why is he following me?
"Your gonna be late River" I deadpanned while turning around and walking backward.
"No, my class is right here." He smirked as he pointed to the door I stopped by.
"No. Your class is on the other side of the building." I demanded.
"Changed my schedule." He smiled.
We walked into the class together and I sat in my seat.
"Move" River growled to the nerdy boy next to me.
The boy scrambled band grabbed his notebook and pencil he had just taken out he quickly got up and went to the front of the class.
Rivers face was stone cold. He didn't look like the guy that was just all smiley with me.
"That was mean," I said.
"Too bad, I don't want anybody thinking they have a chance." He replied looking straight ahead.
My brows furred, a chance with what?
"What are you tal-" my question was cut short by my math teacher.

"Taliah! Taliah!" A girl screamed.
Nobody cared because they were on their way home.
"Oh, thank goodness I found you! Matteo told me what happen! Are you okay? I didn't mean for you to get lost." Harlow explained while out of breath.
I smiled at her concern.
"It's okay, I'm okay. The guy didn't do anything to me," I explained.
She hugged me and kept explaining how sorry she was.
We caught up for a bit and I found out she got that random guy's number from the party.
She said he was "major hot" and "a show stopper" whatever that meant.
The girl is kind of crazy but in a good way. I think.
After we talked I went to Aces car and explained to them that I was going with Harlow aka River to go shopping.
"Did you ask Roman?" Ace questioned suspiciously.
"No.. but I can text him right now," I said.
I pulled out my phone and asked Roman if I could go shopping with Harlow.
He replied 'yes, but be careful and have your location on your phone' a few minutes later.
"He said yeah," I told the three boys.
"Okay, but be careful. And call us if anything happens. Do you have money? No? Okay here's two hundred call me if you need more oh and please have your location on Taliah. Make sure you-" I cut Ace's long rant short.
"Okay, okay. I got it to call you if anything happens. I'll call you if I scrape my knee okay?" I patted Ace's head.
He rolled his eyes and kissed my head. Matteo and Asher did the same.
I waited till they drove off and went to the front of the school to see where River was.
He was leaning on an all-black Mercedes-AMG GT coupe.
My eyes lit up in amazement.
I sped walked to him and his car and smiled.
"Your car is beautiful." I gushed.
"Thanks. I thought she was beautiful the first time I laid eyes on her." He responded. He tapped the car but held eye contact with me.
I chuckled nervously, "can we stop by the mall? I don't want to wear my uniform all day." I asked.
River muttered a yep and went to the passenger door to hold it open for me.
"Thanks," I whispered.
River went to the other side and started the car.
"Seatbelt." He said lowly.
"Oh right," I smiled.
I buckled up and off we were.
"I thought you had a motorcycle?" I asked.
"I do." He responded.
"Why didn't you drive it? Not that I'm complaining or anything. I'm just wondering." I said.
"I don't know. Guess, I didn't feel like living on the edge today." He responded.
We rode in comfortable silence to the mall.
"Are you getting out?" I asked.
"Yeah let's go." River responses.
I hopped out and went to A random store and found a top and bottoms. I went to grab the hundred Ace gave me but the cashier was already passing river the receipt.
"That was unnecessary." I huffed.
"Not to me," he said cheerfully.
I rolled my eyes and went to the bathroom across from the store
I changed and once I was I was dressed I carried my uniform in my left arm.
"Ready?" I asked.
"Yeah, let's go get some creamy goodness," River smirked.
We walked to his car and I stuffed my uniform I'm my backpack. I got inside the car and buckled my seatbelt. I sat in my seat waiting for River to start the car.
I looked at River and saw him staring at my outfit.
He looked as if he were in a trance.
Was the outfit that bad? I was wearing a spaghetti strap shirt that had the word 'nevermind' on the left side of my chest I had grey jeans on.
"River?" I called.
He blinked a couple of times and looked at me
"Yeah? Sorry, I just- isn't it a bit cold?" He asked.
He was wearing a black long sleeve with black pants. You could see his muscles through the shirt. But that's not the point.
"No? You're wearing a long sleeve ." I explained.
He ignored me and got out of his car and went to his trunk.
He came back with a light grey jacket.
"Here put this on, I don't want you getting sick." He grunted.
Weirdo.
I slipped on the jacket and we immediately sped off.
We arrived at the ice cream parlor in no times
We were next in line and I concluded on cookie dough ice cream.
The only problem was that I was afraid to order.
"Umm River? Can you order for me?" I gulped nervously.
"Sure sweetheart." He smiled.
The smile was quickly gone as soon as we got to the front of the line.
"Two scoops of vanilla, and..." he stopped.
"Cookie dough" I whispered.
"And two scoops of cookie dough." He finished.
The older man smiled and made the ice cream.
"7.20 please." The man said.
I smiled back and quickly gave him the hundred I don't spend yet.
"Keep the change," I said.
I grabbed our ice creams and walked to the table I chose when we first walked in.
"So! How has your day been?" I asked.
River just glared at me.
"What?" I asked.
"You paid for the ice cream. I was supposed to treat you." River semi-pouted.
"First of all our friendship will be equal, you pay sometimes I pay sometimes that's how it's gonna be so deal with it," I ordered.
I took a bite of my ice cream while looking at Rivers's stunned face.
"Fine," he said.
"Fine," I responded.
I went to check the time and saw 33 notifications from my brothers.
'Where are you?!'
'Are you okay?'
'Get. Home. Now.'
Yeah, the last one was from Roman.
I saw the time and it was 8 pm.
They're gonna kill me.
