Dracula's POV

"They told me her mother had a connection with the demons, and she was very likely to be one of them also, which I didn't believe. It was only after I found you to be my true mate that I realized they were telling me the truth. She used a fucking demonic love spell on me. I will make her pay for messing with me. Even now, she is still with my bank card, which I left for her at the resturant." I spilled, and she cringed in shock at the mention of demons.

Fear brimmed in her eyes, and as she took a few steps back, her face grimaced as she placed her hand over her mouth in shock.

"She is a demon and was allowed to stay alive? What is her pack, and for what reason should they allow such a threat to linger on?! And you?? How could you take such a risk? A Lycan sparing the life of a demon because he felt she was his mate? That sounds so stupid!" She blasted, breathing heavily as she glared at me.

Her words were true, and it sounded so funny how I ended up being really silly and weak. It is so confusing that I have no words to say other than to stand there and gawk at her.

"Do you know that the demons are very tricky and cunning? Don't you think she must have done something harmful to you that you are yet to know? Dracula! You had what your father wrote in that letter. Your mate will help you end the looming war of the demons! We are starting with that girl now!" She hollered, almost panting as she gritted her teeth and stared wildly at me.

"I will think about all this, but for now I think you should go home and prepare for your enrollment tomorrow. School is over already, and I have some research to make for my next lesson." I uttered calmly, stretching out my hand to pick her up from the chair, but she shook her head in refusal, folding her hands against her chest.

"We aren't ending this till we discuss how it would be done. If you don't have the courage because of the charm she has on you, leave the job for me. Give me approval to assassinate her for you!" She whined, and I felt anger building up inside me.

"You have to obey me! I am the only one who has the right to touch her. Nobody else! As for whether she will be killed or not, I will decide. So can we start heading home, or do you still want to stay here?" I tried so hard to talk calmly at this moment because I was getting pissed up so much by her.

She stood up and straightened her gown before taking my hand into hers as we both headed out. She was all silent and seemed to be brooding over something in her head. Her face was as hard as stone, void of any smile.

We got outside the school building, and her driver was already waiting outside the car, dressed in black and holding a dark glass.

"Please, we should get rid of her quickly. I am scared of losing you." She purred, in a babyish voice as we got to her car, hugging me tightly. I returned the hug with all my heart, enjoying the pleasurable sensation of our skin contact. She smelled so nice, and my heart felt warmth in her arms.

Despite the fact that she had saved me from becoming a beast during the full moon, I couldn't help but fall in love with her even more. She might be the jealous type, but it can't change anything. She is my mate and the angel of my life.

"Ella might not be killed, but I will personally make life miserable for her. Since she had lost her demon's power, I won't be so cruel as to kill her, but I will make sure she regrets knowing me." I thought, but it felt so much like I was bluffing. I shut my eyes tightly as I inhaled and exhaled heavily, fighting to suppress the tension building up in my heart.

I'm not sure how powerful Ella's charm could be to make me shiver just thinking about her pretty face. It was glaringly clear to me that there was no way I could kill her. Maybe Selene will help me out, just maybe.

We broke the hug, and she kissed me deeply and passionately before heading into her car. As the door was opened, I caught a glimpse of someone else in there.

His cold facial expression drew my attention. Although he appeared really young, like a man in his early twenties, he still looked exactly like a bodyguard, and the aura around him was actually dangerous, somehow.

The car windows were all tinted, so I could only see him when the door was opened, but it seemed like he had been watching me from inside.

"Is that another bodyguard in there?" I questioned her through the mind link, and she burst into laughter.

"No. My foster brother. You both will get to meet tomorrow. You are his role model, so I hope you both flow well." She replied gleefully as the young man she just called her foster brother stared at both of us, wondering what I was saying to make his sister laugh that way.

"Oh, yes, I would love that. I didn't know I could be anyone's role model." I chuckled, bading her as the door was jammed and the driver slide in.

They drove off, and I could now notice some female students, especially the seniors who hadn't gone home yet, all ogling and peering at me with wet eyes as they took pictures of me with their phones, primping and trying to get my attention.

I should have gotten used to all this by now, but each time I see them, I still feel that annoyance and irritation. It was clear they were all acting this way because they were yet to know who I truly was. The moment they realize I am a Lycan, they will all back off and run away as fast as their legs can carry them any time I come into sight.

All thanks to Ella, who was able to soften my heart in such a short period of time. To recall that I was once a bloodthirsty beast in human form who could kill at the slightest mistake without restraint or mercy, if I hadn't met Ella before coming here, I am sure I would have killed a lot of students here out of mere irritation and disgust over their crazy obsession.

"Please look at us!"

"Can I get a selfie?!"

"Please, we love you!"

"Can you be our teacher?!"

Their random, crazy words kept ringing in my ears, making me hiss as I looked away and headed back to the school building. Ella must have gone home with my bank card, so I won't be able to board a taxi home.

I will have to call on my bodyguard through mind link to come and pick me up, but before that, I will wait until the student leaves the school compound. If they see my personal bodyguard, my identity will be questioned because he finds it really hard to hide his Lycan scent in front of groups of werewolves, and he hates being looked down on by them.

As I strolled through the hallway of Ella's classroom, I didn't know why I just decided to check in even when everywhere was silent.

Gently, I twisted and pushed the door knob of her classroom, and the door gave way. It wasn't locked yet, which means someone was in there. My brow furrowed in surprise as I wondered who was still in class because I was sure everyone in this classroom prayed for the closing bell and wouldn't wait another second before hurrying home as if school were hell for them.

"Who is in here?" I asked as I walked in. I froze instantly as I saw Ella looking back at me with puffed-up red eyes and tears rolling down her cheeks. She was sweating and breathing heavily. The sight of me made her start drying her face with her shirt.

I ignored her tears. I shouldn't care about her because, even if she isn't an evil demon, she did a terrible thing by manipulating the mate bond. It is forbidden, and if I follow the rules of my Lycan kingdom, she should be executed. It is a real taboo.

"Can I have my bank card?" It is good that you were considerate enough not to take it home, adding that you have my pins." I shrugged, making sure I sounded derisive enough, stepping closer while she pursed her lips and swallowed hard as she stared back at me in shock and disbelief. The tears she had dried formed again, brimming her eyes, and rolled freely.

"Yes, I stayed back to give you your card. I will be severely punished for disobeying Scarlett by staying back at school till now, but it doesn't matter. You need your card back...and that's all. I don't deserve any explanation. "You don't... care any longer!"Her voice cracked, her tone was wavering, and her lips trembled harder.

Those brown eyes that had always glistened and twinkled brighter than the stars were now dim and gloomy. Pain and hurt clouded them like the sky before a heavy storm.

"The only explanation I can give you is that that girl is my real mate. I don't need to tell you about the mess you made. How daring could you be to use charms and spells to manipulate the mate bond and form one between us? You said you're not a demon, so how will you explain the mate connection that happened between us when you're not my destined one? You want me to believe you aren't evil, so why did you do it?" My voice was becoming harsh as anger boiled inside me.

I was feeling like a pup, a toy that she just played with, and it annoys me more that she was acting as if I was lying.

"You believed I used charm on you, while that girl didn't use any? How could you, the only man I trusted, turn your back on me and join others in calling me a demon who used demonic charm on you. Why will you believe her rather than me? Who is she, and how did she just appear between us and tear us apart instantly? Why? Why? How?  I thought you...loved...me.." Her voice was broken as she whimpered. She sounded so pained to the point that I could also feel it.

Her eyes were brimmed with tears, cascading down her cheeks profusely as if they were twin rivers. She was purely hurt by my words, and that seemed to be the better punishment for playing with my heart. I would still find a way to get away from her spell, but I will never forgive her for doing this to me. I think I hate her so much right now.

I hate the fact that I was used by her. It felt like a slap to my face.
