{ Some of the history in this chapter is from House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones so it does not belong to me. It belongs to George R. R. Martin. Just thought you should know : ). }

Dreams?

{Word Count: 1638}

Tari has had many dreams before her last. They started when she was merely a decade old, she figured them to just be nightmares. She never told anyone about the dreams until another decade after they started. Aegnor was the first to find out, he was walking the halls one night when he heard a muffled scream. She pleaded with him to not tell their mother and father. He didn't listen.

She would have never thought they actually meant something, but the book in front of her said otherwise. Tari had woken up earlier than she planned, so she used the extra time to reread the book.

According to the book she was a Dragon dreamer, very few in her family were. The last one had been so long ago that she didn't even recognize the name of her ancestor. Maegor Fuer, he had been the last dragon dreamer in her bloodline. Her father was never harsh about anything but he was harsh about his children learning their family history. So when she didn't recognize the name, she knew it didn't seem right.

"A dragon dream is a type of prophetic dream or vision experienced by dragon riders. They are no ordinary dreams, they often involve dragons but not always. The dreams are considered to be riddles of the future."

Tari turned the page once more " The Dragon Dreamers must break down the riddle before it is to happen, If not the Dream they had will be the truthful way of the future. If they are able to break it down, they will be able to change the future before it happens." Tari shut the book before sinking deeper into her chair. She never expected something like this to come of her dreams, Is this the Destiny her father thought she was meant to fulfil. But considering this didn't include her brothers it could not be.

How was she meant to break down this dream? What kind of riddle was her family burning? Her family line has never been hurt by fire, they all even walked into fire with their dragon eggs for them to hatch and they all came out without a scratch or burn. So what did fire have to do with the riddle? Her and her brothers even had fire fights with their dragons in the air. Well that was except her mother, she did not have the Feur blood. The blood of the dragon some called it.

Tari had a couple hours before the meeting so she decided to take a walk around Rivendell. She knew she would regret that decision when the whispering and looks would start, but she did not want to be lock up in her chambers all day.

She had stopped along a balcony looking over all of Rivendell, the sounds of laughter knocked her out of her thoughts. She looked over to see four kids jumping around and laughing, joining in on their laughter made them look towards her. Her laughter quickly stopping and her smile fell instantly, She then noticed the were men. no they couldn't be. yes they were, they were hobbits. Tari had never seen one in her 2900 years of living, and now in front of her were four.

The sun shined on Tari's bright locks which gave it a heavenly glow. The Hobbits stared at her beauty, well except Sam who had his eyes on Rosie Cotton back home.

" hello!" the on the very left said before continuing " my names Pippin Took." he then points the person to his right " This here is Frodo Baggins." he then points to the person right of Frodo. " That's Samwise Gamgee." he then points to the last hobbit, but before Pippin could say anything the other one interrupted. " Im Merry Brandybuck." Merry glares at Pippin before turning to Tari waiting for her to interduce herself, she soon realized what they were waiting for. " oh, Tari." she hesitated before saying her last name. " Feur." The Hobbits eyes widened, Tari sighed and looked to the ground. "Oh great even hobbits hate me." Tari thought to herself.

The Hobbits noticed her change of reaction, Sam went to change the subject but Pippin said something first. " do you really have dragons?" Merry, Frodo and Sam all smacked him causing him to duck and asked what he did. The scene in front of her made Tari let out a small chuckle and look at Pippin " yes we have dragons."

Tari had always been proud of her family having Dragons but she knew what people thought of them and her family. So she didn't speak of it much, but something about the hobbits made her feel oddly comfortable.

" that's awesome!!" Pippin exclaimed causing Tari to laugh even more. " yes, yes they are." A cough interrupted their conversation. The hobbits and Tari both turned towards the noise, there sat a man writing in a book. Tari understood they wanted to go see the man so see excused herself. " I will leave you." They all nodded and said their farewells. Frodo ran forwards.

Tari watched as Frodo engulfed the man in a hug, her heart warmed at the scene. She then took her leave to go find her brothers.

********

Tari had no clue where to start with telling her brothers about her being a dragon dreamer. She didn't even know if she wanted to tell them. But here they stood at her chambers door, they had an hour before the council meeting. Elrond had informed her the elves, the dwarves and the men of Gondor would be attending also.

She could not lie she was nervous, they all hated the Feur's. She knew she shouldn't care what they thought of her because she knew she is not what they say but she understood why they did. Her mother always tells her to prove them wrong, but how was she meant to do that when they would not even give her the chance.

" Tari, are you alright?" Aegnor asked with his hand on her shoulder. She looked back up at her brothers, their brows were furrowed together. " yes, I am fine why?" she replied, Callon and Aegnor look at each other then back at their sister. " you were just sitting there, you would not answer us." she smiled and nodded " Sorry Muindor." (Brother) Her smile then dropped into a frown " I do have to tell you something, come sit." Tari said motioning to the chairs in front of her.

As they both sat down, Tari took a deep breath. She had to tell them right? Tari wanted to wait until she understood it all but maybe they could help her. She handed them the book from beside her. " I'm what they call a dragon dreamer its a rare gift in our familyline, the book would describe it better than me." They nodded before turing back to the book. Aegnor began to read aloud

"The Feurs are known for their ability to control the dragons, but some of them are also born with the ability to peer into the future and see visions of events that have not yet come to pass. These Feurs, with the ability to prophecize the future, are referred to as Dragon Dreamers." Aegnor looks up at his sister, she just nods telling him to continue.

"A dragon dream is a type of prophetic dream or vision experienced by dragon riders. Most of the dreams occur in the dreamers sleep, but their has been cases of it happening in broad daylight. They are no ordinary dreams, they often involve dragons but not always. The dreams occur in riddles, The Dragon Dreamers must break down the riddle before it is to happen if not the Dream they had will be the truthful way of the future. If they are able to break it down, they will be able to change the future before it happens." Both her brothers look up at her with their mouths slightly open, Callon ran his hand through his hair.

" What does that mean, does father know of this?" Tari pinched the bridge of her nose and shook her head. " I don't know if father know and I have no clue what this means."  They all took a deep breath, "we need to tell father." Callon answered, the other two Feur's nodded. " I will tell him when we return, I will ask Elrond if I could keep the book."

A knock on the door interrupted their conversation. " Callon went to go open the door, Elrond appeared. He smiled at the Feur siblings " the council is about to begin." with that Tari and Aegnor followed behind Elrond and Callon. " Elrond?" Tari questions he turns his head towards her but keeps walking, " Yes, dear." he smiles at her " may I keep the book?" he nodded before going around the corner where the council is.

The Feur's stop before the corner, Tari grabbed her brothers hands for comfort. Aegnor looked at his two younger siblings. " you ready?" they both nodded before letting go of each others hand and walking forward.
