We Taekookers are known for dragging formerly BigHit, now Hybe for separating Taekook and not giving us the subunit of the couple. But you know as I look at Taekook's chemistry and behavior, I get it. I'm not taking up for the company but I get why they would need Taekook to pipe the fuck down.
Work kinda needs to be separate from relationship life.
I believe the company tries to respect their relationship privately, but the goal of the company is to promote the BTS brand. They can't have the romantic relationship between two of its members overshadowing the group. So, the company may want them to keep their romantic relationship from the business side of things. They don't want the workday to be a romantic date between Tae and Jungkook.
I believe that this is why they get separated so much. When these two get near each other, touch each other, or talk with each other, they create this bubble that is hard to penetrate. It borderline's unprofessionalism but I don't think Taekook can help it.
Here is one example of Taekook working really hard to keep the work life just that-a basic work day. But their magnetism and need to be together drains the oxygen out of the room. They are watching videos of concept photos and not only are the two sitting separately, but Tae can't even comment on his baby's photos because he's trying not to make the company higher ups upset. If you watch the entire segment, you can also see where they look each other's way just to make eye contact. But they work really hard to control it. Poor V is so fidgety.
This brings me to a question though.
If Taekook is not real and are simply fan service that the company encourages, then why does the company work hard to stop such fan service?
ANTIs really double talk themselves. They'll say "oh Taekook is just fan service and the company makes money from shipping." Then in the same breath "the company breaks up the fan service." Like make up your mind! If the company wants fan service, then why split them up dummies?
I've decided that in my own opinion, yes the company makes money from fan service. But what they don't make money on is real couples actually being real couples. If Taekook are together in real life and the company publicly acknowledges it, they would expect to lose sales. It's best for the BTS brand that the boys remain single. I believe that's the main reason to keep the work day just that- a day at the office.
