"Meet our finalist in this epic final battle. Whoever wins is the champion of the first-year festival!"

As the final showdown of the first-year festival began, the arena buzzed with excitement. The audience was pumped, eagerly awaiting the clash between two strong fighters from the first-year bracket.

[Name], with a wide grin, waved to the energized crowd, soaking in the electric atmosphere. But amidst the cheers, Bakugo's intense gaze caught their eye. His stare was like a laser, locking onto them with unwavering intensity.

"Hey, dumbass, focus over here," Bakugo growled, a challenge in his voice. He sought victory, not just any victory, but a win against one of the strongest in their class-[Name]. It is finally time to settle on who is the strongest in the class and it will be him.

"Don't worry, you'll have my full attention," [Name] winked, teasing Bakugo, who felt an unexpected warmth spread across his face. He quickly covered it with a glare, but they couldn't help but giggle.

The tension escalated as Midnight announced the beginning of the duel, fully aware of the stakes and the eagerness burning in the two competitors.

[Name] grabbed the card they had recently gained as it floated in midair in front of them. "The key which hides the power of the Stars!" they declared, a star pentagon materializing beneath their feet. "Show your true form before me! I, [Name], command you under our contract. Release, Esdeath!" The card glowed with an ethereal blue hue.

A transformation swept through [Name]. They donned a General's attire with striking features-a blue scarf, a distinctive tattoo on their chest, and a cap adorned with a black cross.

"I hope you don't bore me Bakugo," they outstretched their arms, and out of thin air, an army of soldiers made out of ice materialized. The army stopped its feet and moved forward, its lances outstretched to pierce into Bakugo's body. To make a pincushion out of him.

"Oh shit," Bakugo mumbles under his breath. This Esdeath Clow Card is an ice user like Todoroki. But this also means he can blow them up to kingdom come. He ain't outbeat (yet). He ran forward and blasted the soldiers into pieces with ease. However, [Name] did not seem the least bit fazed, their arms crossed in front of them.

"Come fight me head-on, Bitch!" Bakugo roared, navigating through the onslaught of lances and blowing up the ice constructs. He sensed the intention behind the assault-knock him out, not kill him. A method he found distasteful.

"Oh, I do not know," [Name] teased, tapping their chin, "it looks like you're having fun with my toys."

Frustrated by the prolonged battle, Bakugo opted to bring it to a swift conclusion. With a decisive move, he detonated an explosion that enveloped the entire arena in a blinding flash of light and smoke. As the dust settled, however, there was no sign of [Name]'s icy soldiers.

Bakugo landed on the ground, a resolute expression etched on his face. The battle had only just begun, and the clash of fire and ice promised an exhilarating finale.

"Hey, you..." [Name] muttered, their eye twitching with irritation. As the showdown with Bakugo reached its peak, frustration and annoyance crept onto their face. Their plan to overwhelm him with ice soldiers had backfired miserably. Instead of showing any sign of defeat, Bakugo smirked arrogantly, taunting them.

Unfazed, [Name] dashed toward Bakugo with surprising speed, momentarily catching him off guard. Bakugo's instincts kicked in, and he dodged to the right, rolling skillfully to evade. As he moved, an ice sword stabbed into the ground where he had been standing moments before.

"Are you trying to kill me, dumbass?!" Bakugo shouted, his explosive fury evident.

[Name], calm and collected, spoke with a hint of amusement, "Oh, no. I knew you would dodge. Or I could be lying, who knows? I just need to get closer to you!"

Bakugo, realizing their strategy, propelled himself upward as an ice spike erupted from the ground. A volley of curse words was exchanged between them as Bakugo launched a series of explosions, aiming to overpower [Name]. However, to his frustration, they conjured an ice shield that absorbed most of his attacks.

Dodging another ice spike, Bakugo questioned their aggressive approach. The onslaught persisted, with ice spikes emerging relentlessly from the ground, resembling deadly stalagmites, each aimed at bringing him down. It felt as though they were trying to take him out for good.

"Come on, Bakugo!" [Name] roared, ascending into the air with the aid of ice formations around their limbs. "Let's have an air battle!" The unexpected spectacle left Bakugo bewildered-another ability of their Clow Card's powers.

In the air, the two engaged in a fierce exchange of blows. Bakugo's explosive punches clashed with [Name]'s icy defenses, creating a spectacular showdown of power and skill. Each strike was met with a swift counterattack, showcasing the agility and determination of both fighters.

[Name], briefly acknowledging Bakugo's resilience, conceded, "I must admit, Bakugo. I didn't expect you to hold out this long. But you see, I cannot afford to lose this battle."

Bakugo's eyes widened with fear as [Name] hinted at a possible disadvantage for himself. Despite knowing he should stay confident, the way they looked at him sent shivers down his spine. He was well aware of the extent of their ice powers and what they were capable of. In desperation, he attempted a massive explosion, but it was too late. [Name], seizing the moment, unleashed their hidden card.

"Ice Commander in Chief!" [Name] proclaimed, unleashing their power to engulf the stadium in an unyielding snowstorm. The abrupt chill disrupted Bakugo's ability to generate sweat, rendering his quirk almost ineffective. He crumpled to the ground, his body shaking uncontrollably as he succumbed to the icy onslaught.

"You bitch!" Bakugo growls, clutching his wrist. The cold is beginning to take effect on everyone. It felt like the temperature was dropping an alarming amount.

"I must admit, I am glad to see that I cut a fraction of it down," they said, gazing at the audience covered in snow. It reminded them of a snowstorm during winter.

"Wait..." Bakugo stared at them in shock.

"Yes, with that move I can cover a whole continent in a Russian blizzard," they mused, their palm resting against their cheek as they leaned over Bakugo, their other arm wrapped around their waist. Bakugo couldn't ignore the sadistic gleam in their eyes as they loomed over him, a potent mix of admiration and apprehension flooding his senses. Their fans seeing this, raved over them more.

"You are one crazy son of a bitch," Bakugo mutters as he shakily stood up. The snow clung to his clothes making it more uncomfortable to stand. His quirk frizzles in and out of existence.

[Name] pressed on, launching forward with a right hook. Bakugo, moving sluggishly, managed to dodge the blow, but [Name] anticipated his move. Catching his arm mid-swing, they pulled him in closer, swiftly raising their knee and driving it into his stomach. Bakugo emitted a choking sound, spit spraying into the air as the impact knocked the wind out of him.

They hurled him backward onto the snow-covered ground, relentless in their assault. Leaping into the air, they conjured an ice sword in their hand. With a swift motion, they brought their arms down, the sharp tip of the sword aimed at his position, and thrust it toward Bakugo. Quick on his feet, he rolled over to dodge the attack. Unfazed, they raised their sword once more. Seeing the blade looming in front of him, he used his quirk, shattering the sword into pieces.

"Come on!" [Name] teased, pouting in a playful manner. Bakugo couldn't help but smirk, thinking he had regained control. However, his confidence faded fast when [Name] quickly straddled his hips. Warmth flushed Bakugo's face as he met their gaze looking down at him.

"You sure are surprising me, Katsuki," they smirked, using his first name for the first time. Bakugo's eyes widened in surprise, a strange feeling stirring within him. But his defensive instincts took over, fueling both anger and a determination to regain control. With a burst of strength, he flipped [Name] over, relishing the momentary shift of power. [Name], blushing deeply, hadn't expected his swift recovery.

"I don't know about you, but it seems like you're the one who's failing here," Bakugo taunted, his glare sharp. [Name]'s narrowed eyes betrayed a flicker of anger.

"How about this!" They snapped their fingers, summoning icicle spears that shot forward. Bakugo dodged each one with a grunt, creating an opening for [Name] to evade as well.

"You're insane!" Bakugo declared, lifting one arm while the other supported it. He understood that the match was approaching a pivotal moment, realizing he had only one chance to change the course of the battle. He couldn't keep going much longer. It was a final, desperate attempt to secure victory.

"I do!" [Name] admitted, recognizing Bakugo's knack for pushing them beyond their usual boundaries. The influence of Tengu was unmistakable, subtly altering their mindset and adding an unpredictable twist to the match (though they'd later discover it was something else entirely).

"Die!" he roared, unleashing a massive explosion, the biggest he had ever conjured. But as the dust settled, it was Bakugo who lay defeated, while [Name] stood triumphantly over his fallen form.

"How is this possible!"

"No one heard?"

Confusion rippled through the audience as they murmured about Aizawa-sensei's statement. The big screen flickered to life, revealing the dramatic turn of events.

[Name] lifted their hands, conjuring a blue sphere. "Mahapdama!" The arena vibrated with the force of [Name]'s finishing move, leaving spectators in awe of the unexpected outcome.

The audience was captivated as they watched [Name] disappear from the screen, only to reappear behind Bakugo just as he unleashed a massive explosion. However, it wasn't the explosion that stole the show-it was Bakugo himself, collapsing forward, knocked out cold.

"They stopped time," someone exclaimed in awe.

The revelation sent shockwaves through the crowd. Controlling not only ice but time as well? The possibilities seemed boundless.

"We have our winner, [Last Name] [Name]!" Midnight declared, raising [Name]'s arm in victory. A broad grin spread across their face as Bakugo was escorted to Recovery Girl.

After recovering from his defeat, Bakugo, seething with anger, declared his intent for an immediate rematch. [Name], however, managed to calm him down, promising another battle in the future.

The time was right for the award ceremony.

Midnight signaled the start of the awards ceremony, and a cannon erupted with confetti as smoke swirled around the winners of the sports festival. The top three contestants ascended the podium: a relaxed Todoroki and Tokoyami in third place, a discontented Bakugo in second, and [Name], beaming with pride, in first. Despite Bakugo's angry glare, [Name] remained undeterred and continued to smile.

"Another round of applause for our winners!" Midnight exclaimed, striking a pose that resonated with the roaring approval of the audience.

"Now, we will present the medals!" Midnight dramatically waved her whip, building suspense for the impending medal awards. A hush fell over the audience.

"HAHAHA!" All eyes turned skyward to witness All Might soaring and flipping through the air, adding a flair to his entrance.

"Our very own hero, ALL MIGHT! / I HAVE BROUGHT THE MEDALS HERE!" The simultaneous declarations of the two heroes collided, resulting in a humorous moment. As All Might touched down, an odd aura of dismay seemed to emanate from him, while Midnight appeared embarrassed and kept offering apologies. [Name], hand covering their mouth, couldn't suppress their laughter at the comical exchange.

The award ceremony continued as All Might approached each student, offering words of advice. When he reached [Name], he grinned.

"You battled extraordinarily, and you've amazed everyone, even me," All Might praised. [Name] blushed with pride and happiness at the acknowledgment from the number one hero.

"Thank you, All Might! I hope to continue learning and improving," [Name] replied with a smile.

As the cheers echoed in the stadium, All Might pull them into a hug before delivering the closing speech. Amidst the boos from some of the audience, [Name] couldn't help but laugh. They had kept their word and clinched the top spot in the Sports Festival.

Bakugo lay in his bed, staring at the ceiling, replaying the events of the tournament in his mind. The room was dimly lit, with only a small bedside lamp casting a warm glow. He couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that something was off about [Name]'s behavior during their match. He isn't the type to be worried about others, but he couldn't dismiss that feeling if he didn't talk to them about it, it would turn out bad in the end.

His thoughts kept circling back to [Name]'s demeanor, the sudden change that caught him off guard. They were always calm, and collected, someone who enjoyed a good fight, just like him. But during the battle, something had shifted. It was as if a switch had been flipped, and [Name] had turned... sadistic.

Bakugo clenched his fists, the memory vivid. The way [Name] had taunted him, the icy soldiers poised to attack, the relentless pursuit-it was a stark contrast to what he knew. The [Name] who valued a challenging fight, not one that seemed hell-bent on his destruction.

"Why the hell did they change like that?" he muttered to himself, frustration etching his face. He couldn't understand why [Name] had seemingly wanted to kill him during the match even if they didn't it felt like it. It didn't make sense.

As he lay there, contemplating, Bakugo decided to do something he rarely did-reach out. He grabbed his phone from the bedside table and dialed [Name]'s number which they punched into his phone so the two could have that rematch. The phone rang, and he impatiently tapped his fingers on the mattress.

"Hello?" [Name]'s voice came through the other end, a mix of surprise and curiosity evident.

"What the hell was that in the match?" Bakugo cut straight to the point.

"Bakugo?" they questioned, seemingly taken aback. "What are you talking about?"

Bakugo's tone was stern. "You know what I'm talking about. The sadistic shit, the wanting to kill me. That's not you."

There was a pause on the other end. "Bakugo, it was just a battle. I was caught up in the moment." However, to him, it felt like they were making excuses. Like they didn't really believe their own words.

"That's not an excuse," he retorted, frustration evident in his voice. "You love fighting, not trying to end someone. What the hell happened?"

[Name] sighed. "Look, it was just a strategy. I wanted to win." They tried to persuade him to drop it.

"Strategy?" Bakugo scoffed. "Since when did you need to resort to that kind of crap?"

Another silence hung between them, the weight of the unspoken words filling the air.

"I... I'm sorry about what happened," [Name] finally admitted a hint of remorse in their voice.

Bakugo grunted in response. "Just don't pull that shit again. I don't need someone trying to kill me in a school fight."

As he hung up, Bakugo couldn't shake off the unease. Something had changed in [Name], and he wasn't sure if he liked it. The questions lingered in his mind, but for now, he pushed them aside, hoping that the next time they faced off, he'd see the [Name] he knew-one who loved a good, fair fight.

Meanwhile, [Name] listened to the beep signaling the end of the call, and for a moment, they just stared at their phone. The weight of Bakugo's words hung in the air, and a sinking feeling settled in their chest. They couldn't deny what he said; something had changed in that battle, and even they didn't fully understand it.

With a frustrated growl, they tossed the phone onto the bed. The room was quiet, and [Name] was left alone with their thoughts. The unsettling feeling lingered, and they couldn't shake off the realization that they had lost control, that something inside them had shifted during the fight.

This wasn't the first time they felt a surge of power or a change in their usual approach to battles, but it was the first time it felt so... dark. They had always prided themselves on being a tactician, on finding joy in the strategy of a fight. But this was different. It was a level of aggression and sadistic enjoyment that left them unsettled.

"I need to figure this out," [Name] muttered to themselves, pacing the room. They couldn't afford to let this happen again. The thought of losing control, of becoming something they didn't recognize, terrified them. They needed answers, and they needed them fast.

Yet, as they thought about delving into the depths of their own psyche, a shiver ran down their spine. A sense of foreboding swept over them, a feeling that this was only the beginning of something they couldn't comprehend.

Taking a deep breath, [Name] pushed the unsettling thoughts to the back of their mind. They convinced themselves that they would deal with it later, that it was just a fluke. Little did they know, as they dismissed the eerie sensation, that destiny had already set its course.

Unbeknownst to [Name], a force beyond their understanding was waiting to reveal itself in a way they never thought possible-a twist of fate that would draw them into a battle of a different kind, one that they didn't think would fight in and it set off a chain reaction.
