Crashing down,
Heart racing,
Mind frantically trying,
to make sense of it all.
I couldn't believe it played out like this.
With me crumpled on the floor reading through this text.
How could I have been so blind.
To the pain I was causing you.
Now you are here bleeding your heart out.
Frantically begging me to stay away.
My mind has shut down.
My heart telling me "No way"
Even in the pitch black darkness,
I see this room spin.
Trying to compose myself,
Is a quest I will never win.
Now you've gone quiet.
My mind is filling in the blank areas.
All too eager to let me know.
That I have just fucked up again.
As my eyes gloss over.
I feel myself slipping in.
That old familiar feeling.
That beckons to me again.
My body soon follows suit.
The numbness echos within.
Spreading the emotion thin.
I close my eyes.
And let the heartbreak begin.
