"Actually y/n I was thinking you could ride with me?"
"You want me to ride with you?" I blushed
"Yea like the old times just me and you."
"Uh okay." I said nervously, this was all so sudden
Kiri looked at me, giving me a thumbs up
He mounted on his ikran waiting for you to get on
You gave her a weird look
She mouthed go, as Tuk went up kiri giggling waiting for her to get on the ikran
I sat in behind neteyam wrapping my arms around him
I saw kiri get on her ikran Tuk sitting in the front kiri held onto her and took off
Neteyam gently tapped your thigh signaling he was gonna go take off, this made your heart skip and beat your face was very warm, his ikran took off as we were greeted by an amazing views of the forest, I couldn't help but smile to myself overlooking the view, but he passed kiri and the spot we were supposed to land at.
"Neteyam we missed the spot."
"I know" he chuckled landing on the ground "I wanted to show you this though."
It was a waterfall it looked beautiful the water was crystal blue, the ground had beautiful blossoming flowers
"It's beautiful teyam" I turned around in awe looking at the view
"It reminded me of you" he smiled
I blushed maybe I've finally gotten through his oblivious mind. thankfully cheered in my brain silently thanking eywa
"You're such an amazing friend you know that right y/n" he hugged me
And there it was I was friend zoned again "you're a good friend too neteyam" that early celebration ended so quickly
"You know." He pulled away from the hug. tucking a strand of my hair back "you've always been there for me and I appreciate you so much for it you really are a true friend"
'Aww and ouch that was worse then the friendzone earlier' I mentally scolded myself. I smiled "thanks you're a good friend too teyam"
"You have such beautiful eyes" he smiled
I blushed from the compliment "thank you."
"Well let's go find kiri and Tuk im sure they're waiting for us!" He mounted his ikran
'Oh my eywa he told me I had beautiful eyes' I thought to myself all excited forgetting he friendzoned me. I mounted his ikran, I then held on to him
Neteyams pov
"You have such pretty eyes" I looked into her beautiful eyes, 'I loved seeing her smile it was the next best thing on this planet. I really am thankful for a best friend like her I really don't know what I'd do without her' I mounted my ikran
Back to y/n's pov
Neteyam landed his ikran on the ground, I hopped off the ikran, walking toward kiri and tuk and to my surprise rotxo was there
Him and kiri were talking it was obvious flirting, poor Tuk was being left out. I saw Tuk run up to me
"Y/n you're here I missed you!!"
"all they've done was kiss in front of me it was gross!" Tuk pointed toward kiri and stuck her tongue out in disgust
I couldn't help but chuckle looking over to kiri and rotxo
"Tuk we were not kissing mind your own business." Kiri rolled her eyes clearly lying
Rotxo gave a small wave toward me and I returned his wave back, I think he was an okay guy for kiri. The only ones I like is him and Tsireya. Tsireya was so nice all the time and honestly she deserves the best. Rotxo was okay he had my respect I guess. I don't like aonung too much since we got into so many fights last year and I'm proud to say I won them all
Neteyam greeted rotxo and went up to him to talk to him
"So Tuk what do you wanna do?"
"Let's play hide and seek!" She gave me a toothy grin
"you hide and I'll count but I want teyam to play too" she giggled going up to her brother and pulling him toward me
"you're gonna play hide and seek with us!"
You smiled knowing that he can't say no to her
"Why don't we all play" neteyam suggested
Rotxo and kiri got up
"I wouldn't mind playing a game of hide and seek before I go home." Rotxo smiled looking at Tuk
"Okay but y/n and neteyam should hide toge-"
Kiri covered her mouth "that's enough Tuk. You should go count."
'Maybe talking about Neteyam in front of Tuk was not a good idea.' I thought to yourself
Tuk furrowed her brows and went to go count "one! Two!"
I quickly started running towards the woods
"Ready or not here I come!" Tuk giggled looking around to find us
Not knowing where to go I felt a arm pull me, I had collided into someone's torso I looked up at the person who grabbed me, I sighed in relief seeing it was kiri. she quickly shushed me I let out a small laugh
I heard rustling coming from a bush "pst y/n come I found the best hiding spot" it was neteyam
"Shut up your gonna get us caught." Kiri shushed him as she pushed you toward him, you tripped on a rock falling on top of him. You were on top of hovering over him "I-I uhm." You stuttered
He only looked up at you his mouth agape
"I'm so sorry I didn't expect to-"
"Found you!!!" Tuk's voiced boomed throughout the forest
I quickly got off of him nervously, i stood up stiffly
Tuk grabbed your hand dragging you "it's your turn to count y/n" she led me to a tree, I smiled
"Alright tuk." I started to count
Tuk ran off somewhere going to hide
I finished counting and went off to find the others
At the end I found kiri,rotxo and Tuk but all who I needed to find was neteyam
I looked behind every and in every bush but that's when it clicked I looked down but I never looked up. a small smirk played at my face as I started to climb up the tree, I saw his blue tail dangling I yanked it playfully as I sat on the branch looking at him
He yelped then smiled at me moving closer toward me "looks like you found me. But it took you a while"
"Well you were up in a tree it was gonna take a while" I smiled at him "I'm sorry for uh falling on you earlier."
"I know you didn't mean it. It just happened so fast so it kinda shocked me" he admitted chuckling
"Trust me it caught me off guard too." You looked at him
He was smiling at you it looked like he was almost admiring you
"Is there something on your mind teyam?"
He shook his head, there was definitely something on his mind but I didn't know what
"Okay" I smiled tilting my head
A few hours later
It was pretty dark out and Tuk had fallen asleep kiri had picked her up and sat her down in front of her
Rotxo had left hours ago due to the fact he had to help lo'ak with something for his anniversary.
neteyam was waiting for me by his ikran, I got on the back of his ikran. I leaned into his back, he was warm as always I felt my eyes close as he turned around to look at me.
"Here come sit up front I don't want you to fall off."
I then got off the ikran moving to the front and mounting it I leaned back into him closing my eyes drifting off to sleep
Neteyams pov
My ikran took off . Inever realized how beautiful and peaceful she looked when she slept she felt very warm to the touch, I smiled at her as she slept peacefully. After a while of flying we finally made it back home, I tapped her arm to wake her up
Back to y/n pov
I woke up from a light tapping, I realized we were now home. Just in time for dinner. I got off his ikran "thanks for letting me ride with you it was fun nete" I smiled at him
He looked at me returning the same smile "no problem y/n" he turned around heading to Jake and neytiri, they were preparing the food we were having a bonfire tonight,the bonfires were always fun. it's where we could always bond and be ourselves. I followed him toward the bonfire as well
