~ Branzy ~

After leaving Clown at home to rest (if he wasn't resting he would personally break his arm again - ok not really), Branzy found himself wandering aimlessly around the server.

He walked in lonely solitude. The sound of nothing but the trees and plants, thrashing in the wind was the only company he had. Branzy didn't know where he was going, he just let his feet guide him, but after all, how could he possibly afford to think about where he was going, when his mind was being bombarded with question after question?

Who shot that arrow?
Was Clown feeling better?
Who was the intended victim of that arrow?
Was Clown sleeping right now?
Who wasn't with everyone else?
Will Clown be safe?
What if plants are farming us for carbon dioxide? Sorry I had to 😭🖐️

Finally snapping out of the hazy blur of his thoughts, he found himself standing in front of the scene itself - spawn, where Vitalasy and Clown had been fighting only a few hours ago. His eyes glazed over the now empty area, earlier packed full of people.

Something felt wrong, the trees seemed taller than usual, the buildings somehow more imposing. Maybe the grass was the wrong shade of green, maybe if was the abnormal amount of ravens and crows, or maybe it was the new sight that could now be found at spawn - the crater. The wind sang an eerie, almost comforting tune, the notes spelling out the letters of danger. Branzy, get a grip of yourself, you're starting to hear things.

He exhaled slowly, trudging through the rubble from the explosion as his breath fogged up into a small cloud in front of his face. The puffs of air were blowing away in the gales, forming and then subsiding again and again and again. Out of his periphery, he noticed an object, a singular arrow. The long and slender figure was laying within the shadows of the jagged rocks. It looked to be one of the arrows that was shot by whoever was third-partying earlier.

Cocking his head slightly, he slowly bent over to pick up the object. Engraved, on the arrow was the letter K, etched lightly into the wood. Why did it look so familiar? He could have sworn he had seen it somewhere before.

Maybe not.

Branzy's eyes fluttered shut as he tried to recollect where he had seen it previously. It just seemed so familiar. He wanted to remember something, anything! Nothing. Absolutely nothing. His mind was blank. The harder he tried to think, the more empty his mind seemed to become, as if his grasp on his subconscious was slowly slipping away into oblivion.

Sighing in fustrastration, he kept thinking, and thinking, and thinking, he was adamant to know. This would irritate him if he couldn't remember it. Until... a memory resurfaced, not of the arrow, but of the small piece of paper he had found earlier.

Quickly, he fished it out of his pocket, eager to know what secrets it may hold. He thumbled as he unfolded it (giving himself a few paper cuts in the process) to reveal a messy scrawl of writing.

BranzyCraft
ClownPierce
Vitalasy
Rekrap2
SpokeIsHere
ParrotX2

And so the list went on, Branzy skimmed over so many familiar names, yet so many unfamiliar also towards the end of the list. Branzy stared transfixed at the paper in confusion.

Why was his name on this piece of paper?

Who were the people at the end of the list?

Were those coordinates at the bottom?

He was probably lost in his own thoughts for a little too long for the next thing he realised, was that the sky was beginning to darken. A thick blanket of mist had come rolling in and wrapped around Branzy choking him in it's misty grasp.

It didn't take Branzy a long time to decide it was a good idea to go home, after all, he wasn't planning to have a sleepover at spawn or anything. If only he had known the danger of this.

~ Clown ~

Thirty minutes.

Branzy had only been gone for thirty minutes, that was only half an hour, but a feeling of foreboding, had been gnawing at his mind, nagging him until he couldn't take it anymore. His gut was telling him that Branzy was in danger and he just couldn't shake of that feeling.

One moment clown was standing in the circus and the next he had vanished as quick as the mist in the morning.
He needed to find Branzy and he didn't care if he would be berated by the other man afterwards, after all, he truly cared for his wellbeing and he was his friend, right?

~ Branzy ~

How did he get here?

This wasn't just a mistake, this was a fatal error, a blunder on his part, a slip up that would cost him his life. One minute he was walking home and the next he wasn't.

A figure clad in black cloth from head to toe had rushed into an alleyway. Being the curious person he was, he decided to follow the mysterious person. Letting the darkness consume him. But what was that saying? Curiosity killed the cat.

As Branzy followed the person through the narrow alleyway - a cat slinking after it's prey - the already silent surrounding seemed to somehow get quieter. The whole world seemed to be at a standstill. As the two of them walked further and further, the light became dimmer and dimmer until Branzy was almost unable to make out the person in front of him. Until... the unknown figure had simply vanished into the air.

Branzy had lost the person, or so he thought. Standing solitary in the empty alleyway Branzy was so alone, so defenceless, so clueless. The silence was a deafening scream, his eardrums would shatter if it were any louder.
The thick cloud of fog had eneloped him, preventing any possibile witnesses to the upcoming crime - a cat walking into it's own slaughter.

Branzy was isolated, Branzy was being ambushed.

A sword was quickly thrust towards his chest but Branzy was quicker. He dodged the almost fatal blow and with zero hesitation ran in the opposite direction. He may be a coward, but he would rather be alive than a martyr.

His attacker threw a pearl and landed in front of him blocking his only escape. A faint chuckle, could be heard through that silent alleyway, laughter of sickening violence. The blood drain from his face. There was no escape. He was trapped. An icy chill traced each individual bone his spine was comprised of, forming a map of his skeleton. Branzy shivered. Was this how he died?

The person raised their sword and pointed it towards Branzy's chest. The blade gleaned dangerously in the moonlight, the pristine surface would soon be tinged by the silver - haired man's blood. Another meaningless life gone. "H-hey we can talk about this!" Branzy pulled out a sword and slowly stumbled backwards until he found himself against a wall. The unknown person kept approaching him. One foot in front of the other.

Step.

Branzy's life flashed before his eyes.

Step.

Branzy raised his sword defensively.

Step.

The figure tightened their grip on their weapon. The weapon that would take his life. The blade was poised, ready to strike, ready to kill. Murder was on today's agenda.

Branzy desperately wanted to do something, to fight back, to not be completely incapable of defending himself, but
fear had him tangled in its grasp. He was a puppet and it was his puppeteer. The strings of intimidation and manipulation were wound carefully around him, dictating every thought he had, every move he made. No power, no control, no freewill, only feeble helplessness, Branzy was nothing but a mere pawn in Fear's game of chess.

Branzy was frozen, anticipating the inevitable blow. But it never came. The sound of pattering footsteps against the concrete ground grew louder and louder. The person had momentarily glanced backwards only to swiftly summon a pearl and launch it though the air.

The green orb clunked to a stop on a nearby rooftop and just like that, in a flurry of black cloth and a cascade of purple particles, one minute the figure was there and the next they were gone, only to be replaced by Clown Pierce was standing in front of Branzy.

"Cl-Clown! What are you doing here?" Branzy's voice trembled and quivered, still shocked from the recent encounter, "You're- You're supposed to be resting!? "

"Branzy! Are you alright?"

Clown pulled the shorter man into a tight hug, which Branzy accepted.

"You shouldn't be here, I told you to stay at home" the silver haired man mumbled into his shoulder, " And- and who or what was that just now! Clown you saved me!"

"Shhh it's alright," Clown let go of Branzy and just held him, "Let's go home and we can talk about it later."

Branzy felt a weak smile bubble out as he looked at Clown. What did he do to deserve a friend like this?

Well that chapter is done. If you have any feedback for me pls do say coz I'd love to know how I could improve. Thank you (:
