Giyu Tomioka
You watch Giyu in silence as he leans up against a tree near his estate. You had been following him all day and he's finally decided to rest, much to your relief.
Let me explain, you had accepted a bet to ignore Giyu for an entire week however, after a few days you ended up changing your mind about the whole thing. Unfortunately, ever since this morning, Giyu has been purposely avoiding you. Whenever he sees you coming he leaves in a blink of an eye. That being said, you've resorted to this tactic of approach.
You stay as quiet as you can as you creep up to him, Giyu notices quickly but before he can leave again you tackle him to the ground.
"I finally gotcha!" You said, grinning proudly.
"It took so much just to follow you here! I'm exhausted.." You say, collapsing on top of him.
".. Anyways, can you please tell me why you've been avoiding me all day?" You asked tilting your head up to stare at him. Giyu avoids your eyes nervously.
"Don't worry, honey. You can tell me." You say softly.
"You..weren't answering me whenever I talked to you so I assumed you were upset me. ..I didn't mean to cause you any trouble. I just thought you didn't want to see me anymore than you had to.." Giyu says, voice carrying a slightly different tone than usual.
"Awh my poor baby..! I'm sorry for making you think that way. I promise I'll make this up to you.." You say.
"You don't have too." He says, you shake your head.
"I'm going to make it up to you whether you want me to or not." You say sternly. Giyu nods along.
"Well then.. Can we go home? I want.." Giyu trails off, a cute blush tinting his cheeks in embarrassment. You giggle at his shyness.
"Sure. Let's go home. I'm in the mood for some cuddles right now."
Obanai Iguro
"What's up with you today?" Obanai asked with narrowed eyes and an irritated tone.
You felt a little silly so you thought pulling a prank on Obanai would be a fun idea. What you didn't expect was for him to pop up at your house at late hours of night to talk to you.
It all happened so quickly too. There was a knock at the door and as soon as you opened it, Obanai came barging in and before you could react, he closed the door and pinned you against it.
"You haven't disturbed me at all today which is strange considering we're both off today and Shinazugawa's away."
Still wanting to hold out you try to push pass him but Obanai grabs your shoulder and pushes you back, this time keeping a firm grip so you don't move.
"Did you assume I'd come to you early but then got mad when I didn't? Or is this your way of finally telling me that you're sick of me and want to end things between us? I must say, you humored me longer than I expected you to." He said. Despite the many emotions his tone was currently carrying the one you picked up on the most was sadness. An uncharacteristic display that you didn't see often.
As his grip loosened and he began to pull away you reacted quickly.
"Oh you big dummy!" You screamed before yanking down his bandages and kissing him. He was surprised and caught if guard so he ended up fumbling back and with the added weight from you leaning against him, the two of you inevitably tumbled to the floor.
"I'm not tired of you, Obi! Not even close! I love you with all my heart!" You said after pulling away only to lean back down and pepper his face in kisses.
"Agh..! Stop that!" He says before trying to push you away, groaning in irritation when you continue your assault.
"It was a prank, silly!" You confessed, "If I knew you'd overreact like this I would've never did it in the first place!"
After saying that you decide to continue your previous attack and cover his face in wet kisses. Obanai takes it like a champ, not forgetting to take note of the relief that washes over him.
Oh and by the way, he will be making your life a living hell tomorrow. Y'know, just to make sure you aren't tempted to pull something like this again.
Mitsuri Kanroji
It was the afternoon and the prank was going by pretty smoothly. With some skillful evading, you've been able to completely ignore Mitsuri and besides the occasional whines, she looked like she was holding up just fine! ..Or so you thought..
As you entered your estate, the familiar sobs that you only hear on occasions bounces off the walls. You walk to your bedroom to see a sight that makes you want to cry yourself.
Mitsuri, with her hair disheveled from what you could only think was from stress, is crying heavily on the floor besides your bed. She had her head facing downwards and there was a picture of the two of you next to her.
..Did you cause this?
"Oh my gosh! Mitsu, are you okay?" You asked running over to her.
"..Y..n..?" She muttered. As soon as her eyes locked with yours her sobs become more apparent and she immediately engulfs you.
"Buttercup..! You.. finally talked to me! I'm sorry if I made you mad..! I didn't mean to!"
"I'll do..anything..! Just please continue talking to me again..!" You felt like punching yourself in the face. What in your right mind made you think this was a good idea?
"It's not your fault, baby! I was trying to prank you! I didn't mean to make you so upset!" You say hastily, running your hand up and down her back as best you can in your current position.
At your confession, Mitsuri pulls back, her face glistening due to the thick tears that streamed down her face.
"So.. So I didn't mess up our relationship?"
With nothing but guilt shining in your eyes, you give a kiss to your girlfriend's cheek before burying her face in your shoulder. You gently run your fingers through her already messy hair, taking a mental note to help her with it later.
"Not at all, Mitsuri. Not at all.."
Shinobu Kocho
You huff as you watch your girlfriend pour a few drops of some purple liquid onto a stage clip before placing it on the stage of the microscope.
The plan was to pull an ignoring prank on Shinobu to get a more dramatic reaction from her. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out that way. In fact, you're the one being ignored right now..
You let out a long, exasperated sigh but Shinobu doesn't bat you an eyelash as she examines the liquid drops under the microscope.
She been like this forever now! Instead of avoiding her, she's been avoiding you. Not only that but she hasn't looked at you once today! :(
"'Nobu c'mon.." You say, finally deciding to give up. Shinobu doesn't answer you so you sigh and walk over to her.
"Shinobu. Please stop ignoring me.. I'm sorry.."
You gently push her away from the microscope so you can sit yourself on her lap but she still doesn't answer. Your frown deepens.
"Please give me attention.." Finally, Shinobu turns to you with a shit-eating smirk, amusement oh so evident in her eyes.
"So, you finally decided to give up on your little prank?." She asked, leaning her face on her hand that was propped up by the table, "And just when I was getting into it too."
"How did you--"
"I have my ways." She cuts off.
"I must say this was fun! We should do it again sometime!"
Rolling your eyes, you lean against Shinobu and close your eyes. Her little mind games took a more of a toll than you thought it would..
"Yeah, yeah whatever just wrap your arms around me already." You grumble.
"Awh~! Can my little butterfly not last one single day without my attention? How cute~."
"Shinobu-!"
Sanemi Shinazugawa
"'Nemi..! Come on don't be like this!" You said to your boyfriend only to sigh when he ignores you yet again.
You had managed to survive the entire week ignoring Sanemi but it seems he took it personally because now he's ignoring you.
"Look, I already apologized and told you everything! What's more to be mad about?" You asked, Sanemi clicks his tongue and turns away. You get up and move to get into his view but he only looks the opposite way.
You try to sit on his lap but he only pushes you away, pushes you to the floor in process. Groaning at his stubbornness you get up and cross your arms.
"Okay what's up with you today?" You asked, voice loud and demanding. Luckily that does the trick and Sanemi finally looks at you.
"First you ignore me, then get mad when I give you the same treatment? You're so childish." He says, you nod understandingly.
"I know I hurt you but I swear to never do it again! I'll never impulsively feed into Tengen's bullshit ever, ever again!" You say, putting your hands together in a silent apology.
"And why should I believe your shit?" He ask. Once again you take the chance and sit on his lap, wrapping your arms around his neck and pressing against him.
"If I ever do something like this again I'll do anything you want to make it up to you." You mutter into his ear, noticing how his ears turn pink and he stiffens.
"Ooh~! Are you thinking something dirty, 'Nemi? You're such a perv!" You say feigning innocence as you back away before poking his cheek. Sanemi rolls his eyes and slaps your hand away, earning an amused giggle from you.
"I liked it more when you were ignoring me."
Kyojuro Rengoku
"What the hell?" You yelp as your suddenly picked up.
"Good afternoon, sunshine! Sorry for scaring you but I had surprise you so I can do this!" Kyojuro said, giving you one of his bright smiles before begin to twirl you around. This goes on until you're both laughing and dizzy and eventually, the two of you stumble to the floor.
"Kyojuro..! Why'd you go and do that?" You whine.
"Because I missed you and I wanted to see you!" He answered, "Since you've been avoiding me I thought this would be the best way to get your attention and make you happy!"
At his testimony you sigh but still smile as you bury your face into his chest.
"You big idiot!" You laugh out, smacking his shoulder lightly, "Because of you I lost a bet against Tengen.."
Tanjiro Kamado
You felt horrible.
You had initially regret taking on this stupid bet in the first place but still had to last at least make it through the first day as per the rules of said bet. You felt so bad. Whenever you didn't acknowledge him, Tanjiro would give you this sad look as if he was about to cry. It broke your heart but fortunately for you the day went by swiftly and eventually you ran up to Tanjiro practically tearing up.
"I'm so sorry!" You exclaimed jumping into Tanjiro's arms. He was surprised to see you but didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around you.
"Huh? About what?" He asked innocently, tilting his head slightly.
"About ignoring you! It was a bet but I promise never to do it again!" You said before burying your face into his shoulder.
"It's okay, angel." He strokes your head, "Don't be so hard on yourself."
"But you looked so sad! I clearly hurt you.."
"But you said it yourself that you'd never do it again so there's no reason for me to be upset anymore." He said. You lift your head up from his shoulder to see him giving you one of his signature smiles. You feel your face heating up and look away to hide it.
"..You're way too forgiving.."
Muichiro Tokito
Walking in to your room to see your boyfriend fast asleep cuddling one of your pillows both broke your heart and made you internally squeal from the cuteness.
You've been ignoring him all week and ever since yesterday when you caught him curled up to one of your spare uniforms in his room, you've been starting to regret this whole thing..
After a quick mental debate, you ultimately decide to wake him. He groans irritably but when his sleepy eyes lock with your apologetic ones all his irritation seems to wash away in an instant.
"Sorry for waking you baby.." You started as you begin gently running your fingers through his hair.
"You've been ignoring me all week.." He mumbled sadness overclouding the sleep in his eyes, "I missed you a lot.. I came over here to find you but I guess I forgot and ended up falling asleep.." He mumbles. You nod understandingly.
"..Did I..do something wrong and make you upset? I'm sorry I forgot about it but I'll apologize if you want me to.." Shaking your head at his words you place kiss on the side of his forehead.
"You did nothing wrong, Mui. It was a silly bet I made with Tengen and.. Nevermind it's not important any more.. The only thing that is important right now is doing whatever I can to make it up to you. Do you have anything in mind?"
"..Can I have some cuddles? Your pillow feels nice but you feel nicer.."
Smiling, you nod as you gently pull your pillow away from his death grip before replacing it with yourself. Muichiro immediately wraps his arms around you, blushing lightly out of pure elation as he buries his face into your neck.
"Please.. Never leave me alone like that again, bunny.."
"I won't, Ichi. I promise.."
Yuichiro Tokito
This may sound horrible but you were having a lot of fun with this little bet. Call you sadistic but the absolutely offended/irritated look on your boyfriend's face as you ignored him for the fifth time today gave you a little extra pep in your step.
You were looking for Muichiro to tell him how everything was going when you were suddenly grabbed by the arm and yanked into a room.
Immediately grabbing your weapon you use your scabbard to hit the arm that grabbed you, only to immediately regret it when you realize it was, in fact, Yuichiro.
"Ow-!" He shouts in pain, grabbing onto his wrist, "First you ignore me and then you attack me?"
As expected, you didn't hold back an ounce of your strength.
"Well I'm sorry for defending myself against a possible kidnapper!" You shout back before mentally face-palming because, gosh dammit, you technically just lost the bet.
Sighing you walk closer to him, "I'm sorry, Yui. Are you okay-"
As you reach for his wrist he smacks your hand away, glaring daggers.
"I don't need your help." You take a mental at the emphasized 'your' in his sentence, "The only reason I even bothered to do all of this in the first place was to settle things."
"Settle things?" You repeated.
"I'll cut to the chase. Have you..fallen for my brother?" He asked. His eyes harboring so much sadness not even his poker face could hide it.
"What?"
"Don't play dumb! I.. I heard that you've been looking for him a lately and along with you pretending I don't exist.."
This was so unlike him. His disheveled appearance, his obvious nervousness, his slightly glassy eyes.. Wait, has he been crying?
"I know I'm not the best at this and I can act like a serious jerk sometimes but to just.." Your eyes widen in surprise as tears begin forming in the water line of his eyes, "..To just completely ignore me for so long..and with such a blank look on your face.. I must've really fucked up to make you hate me so much, huh..?"
As Yuichiro looks down to cover the tears that finally fall you promptly step forward, guilt weighing heavy on your heart.
"Wait.. No that.. I didn't.. It was just a bet I..I didn't mean to hurt you.."
"A bet? You did all of this over some stupid fucking--"
"I know, I know I'm an idiot but I honestly thought you'd be able to handle it! You always act the way you do so I just assumed you wouldn't even notice."
"..You're such an dumbass! Of course I'd notice you ignoring me! You mean a lot to me you fucking asshole! ..And early this week when it started.. And I heard you wanted to see Muichiro I thought.. I thought.."
Finally close enough, you gently grab Yuichiro's wrist and pull him into a tight hug.
"I'm so, so sorry, baby! If I knew you'd end up like this I would've never accepted that stupid bet in first place!"
"..I'll make this up to you! Promise! We can cuddle however long you want or I can take you somewhere or giving you a bunch of kisses and affection oooh..! Whatever you want I'll do it so please.. Please don't cry, love..!"
Zenitsu Agatsuma
You regret this.
Seeing Zenitsu mope around was sad enough but to walk in on him, curled up and balling his eyes out was just too much..
"Zen..?" You called. You notice how his body jumps and tenses as his sobs grow quieter.
"..Are you okay?" You asked as you cautiously walk over to him.
Zenitsu peeks his head up from above his arms, looking at you with teary eyes.
"Y/n..? Is that really you?" He asked. You wince at his cracking voice.
"Yeah.. Yeah it's me.." You take a seat next to him, staying silent and waiting for him to speak when he's ready to.
"..Do you.." He looks away, blocking his face from your view, "..Did I do something stupid to make you dislike me? If I did I'm sorry.."
Sighing, you place your hand on his shoulder, taking note of the way his body tenses even more at the action.
"You didn't do anything wrong, flash. I did. I got wound up and ended up accepting a bet without thinking about how it may affect you.."
Zenitsu whips his head around, "It's okay! That bet probably meant a lot to you and I ruined it because I couldn't keep it together--"
"No!" He jumps at the sudden raise of volume of your voice. You notice and sigh.
"No.. Please don't blame yourself. You did nothing wrong, I was the one at fault. I'm sorry, baby."
Seeming to be at his breaking point Zenitsu quickly wraps his arm around you and hides his face in your chest as the bittersweet sound of his sobs return.
"I missed you..!" He chokes, "I missed you so much..!"
Wrapping your arms around him in a protective embrace you place a kiss atop his head.
"I missed you too, flash."
Kanao Tsuyuri
All day you've been trying to get Kanao to notice you ignore her. It's stupid but the entire reason you accepted the bet was because you wanted to get a reaction out of her. Unfortunately, all your attempts have only resulted in her usual smile. You were actually starting to get frustrated here!
Eventually you let out an exasperated sigh, successfully catching the attention of your girlfriend, who's sitting on the engawa beside you.
"I give up." You grumble walking over to her and plopping beside her.
"Give up on what?" She asked.
"This stupid bet. I was supposed to ignore you the whole day but it's no fun if you don't even notice I'm ignoring you!"
As you grumbled and complained about the money you now owed Tengen and how he would overreact and rub it in your face, Kanao listens in silence. In actuality she had noticed you ignoring her earlier but assumed you were having a bad day. She's relieved to hear that you're okay and your day is going well. ( Or, at least was going well.. )
Inosuke Hashibira
"Why did you do that? Do you know how many rules you just broke?" You yelled angrily. You were walking and talking with Shinazugawa when Inosuke came out of nowhere and attacked him. You were luckily able to break things up before it escalated but you were still pissed off about the whole thing.
"You aren't allowed to attack or harm demon slayers! And, before you say anything, sneaking up and attacking someone without asking to spar with them still counts as attacking them!"
Uncharacteristically, Inosuke stays silent. Since he had taken off his mask you could clearly see the faraway look he's giving you that reminds you of a certain Mist Hashira.
"Are you even listening?" You asked only to get silence in return. You can't believe he's daydreaming right now! ( And are those..stars floating around him? )
Sighing, irritated. You yank him by the wrist towards the direction of the Butterfly Manor.
"Come on, we need to get you checked out before we can do anything else. Afterwards we can make up for lost time and go eat somewhere close."
Inosuke was so gone he didn't even hear you apologize for ignoring him or about your bet. He was too wrapped up in this flustering feeling in his chest that suddenly appeared when you started talking to him. He wonders what it is..
Nezuko Kamado
Nezuko mentally frowns when you don't attempt to reciprocate her hug like you usually do. ( Or even look at her for that matter ) She sits herself on your lap but you promptly ignore her and instead put your full attention into the book you're currently reading.
Grumbling something under her muzzle Nezuko tries anyway she can to get your attention. Tighter hugs, playing with your hair and clothes, even waving her hands in your face. When everything fails she whimpers sadly, looking down as she slides herself off your lap.
She mopes for a little while, eventually crawling back into her box to give you some space. After some time however, she jumps out and pounces on you.
While you're still in shock, Nezuko snatches off her muzzle and begins littering your face in little kisses while also wrapping her body around you like a koala. You couldn't help the blush or smile forming on your face.
"Alright, alright! I'll pay attention to you!" You say. Nezuko stops and pulls back.
"Was that really necessary?" You ask. Nezuko, who now has her muzzle back on, hums before nuzzling into you.
"You make losing a bet better than it should, Nez.."
Gyomei Himejima
Gyomei is a sensitive man, you know this. So why did you take on Tengen's bet? Easy, you don't want to seem like a pussy and back down. However, did you still lose that bet like three days later? Yes-
"Sweetheart, may I ask you something?" Gyomei asked walking into the kitchen where you were making yourself lunch.
"..."
"Sweetheart. I know you're there."
"..." Gyomei hesitates at your silence and tears build up in his blind eyes but he decides to continue nonetheless.
"Lately you've been ignoring me. Why is that?" He asks. You still don't answer and the tears finally start to fall down his face.
"If I did something to upset you I would like to know what so we can talk about it."
"..."
"Sweetheart.." He calls. His voice low and sad, "I'm sorry for upsetting you. Can you please forgive me?"
You simply couldn't take it anymore. Setting down the utensil you were using and walking over to him, you grab his large hands and interlock them with your tinier ones.
"You didn't upset me, Gyo. Not at all. Tengen was getting on my nerves then he proposed this silly bet and.. Anyways, I'm sorry if I made you feel unloved in anyway."
"Are you sure you aren't saying this to make me feel better?" He asks. You tug gently at his haori so he'd bend down enough for you to place a kiss on his lips.
"Yes I'm sure, love."
"..."
"Gyomei.."
"..I'll believe your words you for now but I still think you're upset with me.." He says. You sigh and nod. if you thought ignoring him would be hard. Convincing him that you weren't lying will be even harder..
Kanae Kocho
You honestly thought Kanae hadn't noticed you ignoring her. She's been busy majority of the week and besides the occasional run ins you haven't seen or heard from her. You were actually a little sad about..
Well, until you got a note from her crow telling you to come over to the Butterfly Manor.
When you arrived, Kanae was nowhere to be found but eventually you found her on the engawa, butterflies fluttering around her as she cleaned her pink blade. ( A habit she often does after a particularly long week )
As you close the the shoji door behind you shut, Kanae turns her head around, giving you a smile and ushering you to come closer. You hesitate but inevitably listen.
"It's been a while, dandelion. How have you been faring?"
"..."
"I'm sorry for barely speaking with you but I've been so busy lately.. You understand, right?"
"..."
"Even though I've been running around slaying demons I've noticed you've been oddly quiet whenever we cross paths. Did something happen?"
"..."
Kanae face droops into one of concern and she places her blade aside to give you her full attention. She continues to question you only for you to say nothing in return. You thought she would be saddened by this but you should've known, this is Kanae after all.
"I know exactly what you need to cheer you up!" She says, gently guiding your head to her lap. As you try your best not to react, Kanae hovers her hands above your face.
"May I touch you, dandelion?" She murmurs softly. Deciding to give up, you nod and she smiles.
She gently traces her fingertips along your jawline and pressure points of your face before stopping at your temples. She gently presses against them rubbing small slow circles into them.
"Kanae I'm--" As you try to speak, Kanae gently shushes you.
"No need to speak, dandelion. You seem a little agitated right now so let me help you.. When I'm done you can tell me what's on your mind if you'd like to.."
