The two men had left the room shortly after that, having given up on trying to get the girl to talk.

"You won't leave this room until you answer our questions." one of them had said as they slammed the door shut and deadbolted it after them.

She knows that there is most likely someone watching her through the one way glass at all times, but can't be bothered acting to them. She just stood up and walked to the corner of the room and sat down, as she does in her cell.

Here she is, two days later, still in the interrogation room, sitting in the corner and waiting for the next time one of the men is going to come in and try to get her talk.

Ekio gasps as her head comes up from her knees, her gaze flashing back and forth around the room, making sure no one is in there with her. Her head spins slightly as she leans back against the wall.

Another nightmare had woken her up. She gets multiple every night as she tries to sleep, and if she has the chance to doze off during the day she gets slapped back into reality by the scenes that flash through her mind. The prison isn't offering any program to help with  them easier.

She knows that they hear her screams as she wakes up in the night, she knows they see her through the window as she flinches awake and smacks the wall on accident, causing the cuffs to beep loudly at her.

She wears them twenty-four-seven, stopping her from using her Quirk, or restraining them as much as possible. They have also attached a device around her neck, that measures if she tries to activate her Quirk or not. A Quirk metre they had called it when putting it onto her next.

If it goes off, they will be alerted to it immediately.

So every night someone walks in as she wakes up from her dream and her body sets off her Quirk, or supposedly does as nothing appears. They watch her from the door as she tries to control her breathing and go back to sleep.

Yet it happens over and over again, no one ever comes into monitor her, they just make sure she isn't trying to break out and go right back to wherever they came from.

She lifts her hand to her face and rubs it roughly, trying to wake herself up so she doesn't fall asleep again. She is sick of having nightmares, sick of sleeping and thinking that she is back in that room, chained to a chair with Bakugo and getting her flesh melted off her bones.

Bakugo, who she can't hear from, Bakugo that they won't tell her anything about. Bakugo who appears in her nightmares every night and blames her for him being hurt, for him being kidnapped.

It then morphs into different people, her parents telling her that it's her fault they are in jail. It's her fault that they can't live out the rest of their lives peacefully.

The door slams open, and the original interrogator at the door, looking sleep deprived and annoyed with her. He looks down at her in the corner, knowing that she was just doing it in her sleep once again and isn't planning anything. But the girl is getting on her nerves, every time she set off the Quirk metre someone has to come to check on her and more often than not it is him as he is an investigator on the case.

He practically snarls before slamming the door shut and locking it behind him.

"I am not getting up again because of this girl," he wanders down the fall, into the main office. "If we can't drug her what can we do to get those to stop?"

Everyone in the office looks up, all of them just as sick as he is of hearing the alarm go off over and over again, multiple times a day.

"Just take one of her parents in, surely they can deal with it," a higher up waves his hand at the investigator.

"What? You want me to put two of them in a room together?" He can't believe what he was just told to do.

They have spent many hours making sure that as the family is moved around none of them come into contact with each other as it means they have a chance to scheme and plan with each other. At this point, Ekio is the only one who hasn't given them a statement, which is why they are still so heavily separated.

After they get her statement they will probably still keep all of them away from each other, as they can't trust them.

"If she gets to be with one of her parents, hopefully, she will sleep, meaning that she will be more likely to cooperate, they might convince her to get healed which will get the lawyers off our backs when they see the state of her." The man pulls his glasses off and rubs his eyes roughly with his fingertips, "she might start to eat well as well, ultimately both of her parents have given us statements and if she is aware of that she will give us hers. That way we can finally get this over with."

The investigator starts at him for a moment before nodding and heading out the door. He grabs his identification card out of his pocket and walks up to the desk at the end of the hall. The man looks up from his computer, not expecting to see anyone this late at night.

"Hello?" He asks, leaning back into his chair.

"I want Itsuki Kiami in interrogation six within the hour." He snaps at the man before turning around and leaving.

"Ah, that's against protocol because Ekio Kiami is in the interrogation room–"

"Just do it!"

Ekio's head looks up as the door opens again. She hadn't set off her Quirk so she is surprised to hear the locks opening and the door swinging open. Her father walks into the room by himself, the door being slammed shut and bolted behind him.

"Dad," she mumbles up at him, raising her arms to get up.

"I'm coming," he mumbles, still slightly asleep.

He walks over to the corner she is in and looks down at her, taking in her state. She doesn't look any better than when he last saw her, immediately after her fight with Xian.

"Ekio, why aren't you healed?" He asks, sitting down on the floor in front of her, making the ground shake slightly with his size.

"Because I don't want them to heal me," She mumbles, resting her chin on her knees again. "I don't trust them to heal me."

"You aren't going to get any better if you avoid them," He reaches forward with his cuffs and lifts the girl up, pulling her into his chest and leaning back against the wall.

"I don't want to get any better," she mumbles into his chest, her leg searing. "I'm not going to get any better, we are stuck here."

"Hm," Itsuki replies, watching his daughter leaning against his shoulder, "the Hero's won't fail us this time. They will find a way to do it right."

"I don't think they will, the fact that we are here means they are failing." She mumbles, her voice hoarse from not talking to anyone in days.

"They won't," Itsuki hugs her closer to him. "They may have failed me and my brother, but they won't fail you and Xian."

"What about you?"

"I will most likely be given a life sentence."

Her head snaps up to her father, staring into his golden eyes.

"What?" She hisses.

"I'm a villain, Ekio. They aren't going to let me go." He presses a kiss to her forehead trying to calm her down.

"No," she mumbles, tears coming to her eyes. "You can't be taken away again."

"I'm supposed to be here to make you feel better Ekio, not to make you feel worse," Itsuki presses her head into his shoulder. "Tomorrow you will get healed."

She tenses in his arms.

"I'll stay here, so you know they won't hurt you. They didn't hurt me and they didn't hurt Xian or your mother."

She nods slowly, relaxing into his arms again. If he trusts them she is going to have to.

"Have you seen any news?" She mumbles to him, wanting to know anything about the outside world.

"No, why?" He asks, he can't comprehend why her daughter would be worried about what is on the news program of the night when she is in jail.

"They won't tell me anything," she whispers, "about Katsuki or Shoto or anyone. I don't get to hear anything." She scrunches up her face.

"Why, are you in love?" Itsuki grins down at his daughter, trying to make the mood lighter.

But his grin drops as his daughter's cheeks actually flush pink. No way in hell is his daughter allowed to have a boyfriend.

"Who the fuck is it, I'll end their lives the moment you get out of here." He growls, looking down at her, making her chuckle.

"No one, they are my friends."

"Mmhmm? Just friends, or are you making out with him?" Itsuki presses, wanting to know everything about his daughter he can because of his lack of contact with her.

"Dad!" She gasps in shock, having not expected her father to ask something like that.

It's something that Xian would ask, with a couple more expletives in the sentence.

"I'm just asking, Ekio. I have to know if this boy is right for you. Who is it?" He asks, knowing that there is no way Ekio doesn't have a boyfriend.

Mitsu had boys fawning over her constantly.

One being Enji Todoroki.

"Shoto Todoroki."

He snaps out of his thoughts and looks down at his offspring in disappointment.

"A Todoroki? Really Ekio?" He asks, blinking at her.

"He's a good Todoroki," she mumbles, looking away from her dad.

"A good Todoroki? Sounds like a scam to me."

"He's nice, he treats me well and doesn't blame me for almost killing him one time–"

"That sounds more plausible, a Kiami killing a Todoroki."

"–and he is perfectly suitable as a boyfriend–" Ekio cuts herself off but Itsuki doesn't notice.

"I will be the person who decides whether he is good for you or not," Itsuki replies, wanting to rile her up more.

But as silence rings through the room like it had when he walked in he peers at her face again.

"Ekio?"

"I don't think you will need to decide."

"And why not?"

"He probably isn't even my boyfriend anymore, who would want a girlfriend that's sitting in jail." She huffs, leaning against her father's shoulder again.

"If he is going to judge you on the basis that you are related to me then he definitely isn't a good Todoroki let alone a good person worthy of you." He squeezes her in an attempt to hug her. "Who is this other boy you mentioned?"

She pauses before answering, "Katsuki Bakugo, my best friend. He was kidnapped with me."

"Is he good to you?"

"They all are–were. They were all good to me," she mumbles, her mind distracted by the thought of her classmates. "We were all just teenagers going through school together, Bakugo with Kirishima and Denki–"

"That's a lot of males you're surrounded by. I don't think this is safe." Itsuki scoffs.

Ekio opens her mouth to reply but stops herself, "yeah, you're right, I am friends with a lot of boys."

"Ekio, this is disgraceful."

"If I have men coming after me then it is almost guaranteed that you had women on your ass constantly."

"You bet,"

"What are you complaining about then?"

"Because you're my daughter, I'm obliged to complain."
