vanessa rummaged through her suitcase to find a bathing suit that was semi pg. unfortunately, she was stupid enough to only bring a bikini.
lovely
well, as long as roberts wasn't there she'd be fine. plus the upper level pool was private to the top floor.
"who you showin' off for?" gavin teasingly asked as she walked into the room. she flipped him off and dropped her bag off by the chairs.
the water was cold, but that never bothered vanessa.
"jump in!" mookie yelled out.
vanessa aligned her jump so she would get gavin just splashed enough to ruin his hair.
"son of a bitch!" he yelled as the girl completely soaked him. everyone else in the room died of laughter. gavin loved his hair like he loved his own mother.
he retaliated by going and splashing her back. the two fought in splashes for a bit until they both ran out of energy to care.
a few more people came to the pool and after a few hours, everyone went back to their rooms.
vanessa hopped in the shower, as the two teams had planned to go out for dinner. she put on a simple brown dress that had a little tie in the front. she threw her had her hair up and added some simple makeup.
"you look lovely," said max. freddie nodded in agreement
"thank you!" she smiled.
"where's everyone else?"
"mookie and cody taking forever, per usual. gavin was here but then he went to find d. will is on his way down. everyone else, no clue." said chris.
soon enough, everyone showed up, expect gavin and dave.
"do we leave without them?" reed suggested.
"no no, i'll call him." vanessa said.
she pulled out her phone and dialed his number. she waited and waited until he answered.
"hey ness,"
"everyone's waiting, where are you?"
"i'm at the restaurant, i texted you saying i was getting there early to meet with boone, and i needed you to bring the boys to the restaurant."
vanessa was confused.
"what text?" she looked through her phone. no text.
"did i not text you?" he asked
"not that i can see."
"oh, whoops. why don't you guys leave now?"
"okay, see you there." she hung up and annoyingly sighed. "we're leaving now."
"where's d?" asked clayton.
"apparently he was meeting boone their early, he wants us to leave now"

"aaron!!" vanessa shouted running in to hug the tall boy.
"hey ness!" he replied
giancarlo walked over to the two.
"what up ness!" he said as they did a ridiculous handshake that lead to a big hug.
gavin and cody were following behind. "how do you three know each other?" asked cody.
"we go way back," said aaron.
"one time, the three of us had the same flight. then it got canceled and we were stuck in tampa for 3 days. it was a bonding experience. i knew them obviously but they recognized me from instagram." vanessa added.
"fans of hers, of course." said giancarlo.
"after that we just kept in contact." continued aaron.
"why?" gavin questioned.
"because im funny," vanessa said as she walked to go sit down. the other two boys nodded in agreement. the two teams mixed up across the table. vanessa was sitting next to aaron and on the other side was freddie, across from her was giancarlo who kept making stupid faces for her to laugh at.
on the other end of the table was cody, justin, trea, max and chris. the group was making some kind of bet about who could hit the most short porch home runs in the upcoming series. everyone was arguing, except for trea. he kept looking down and across the table at vanessa. she was too busy laughing with her friends to even think about him.
"what's wrong trea?" asked cody.
"i didn't realize vanessa knew aaron and giancarlo,"
"yeah apparently they met at an airport, she said that their flight got canceled for a couple days."
"hm,"
"why do you care?" asked justin.
"no reason, just curious i guess."
justin looked at him and gave him a 'that's bullshit' look. trea shrugged.
"im hitting 5 bombs straight to short porch, but the 'will it dong?' twitter account will still say 30/30 parks."
"good fucking luck." laughed max.
"no i'm serious."
"have fun with that," max said
"mhm." trea mumbled. he was obviously annoyed about something, but he wasn't very open to talking about it.
back on the other end of the table, vanessa felt her phone vibrate in her bag.

everyone gave hugs and fake 'good luck tomorrow's' as they were all leaving. trea slid up to the front with vanessa, who had been walking alone.
"hey," trea said
"hi." she replied finishing her text to someone.
"how was your meal?"
"really good, yours?" she slid her phone back into her bag and looked attentively at the shortstop.
"it was alright,"
"what did you get?"
"chicken parm, the one my mom makes is too good."
"tough competition, gonna have to try it sometime." she said jokingly. he smiled.
"what about you?"
"i just got pesto,"
"should've gotten that i guess."
"i would've shared if you came over, it was huge."
"it's alright."
one long night later, everyone had made it back to their rooms and crashed in bed.

vanessa always struggled to fall asleep in hotels. she was laying on her bed watching youtube on her laptop when she heard a knock at the door. she shut her computer and opened her door. it was trea. "hey ness,"
"what are you doing here?"
"couldn't sleep." he explained as he let himself through the door and sat on her bed.
"how did you know i was up?" she questioned.
"lucky guess?"
vanessa sat next to him.
"what was up at dinner? cody said you were all pissed off."
"no, not really." he denied.
"ok i know your lying."
"fine, maybe i wasn't in the best mood."
"why?" the two sat back into the bed, rather than just the edge.
"i don't really know,"
"oh, i get that" she replied. vanessa tuned and looked at him. the two locked eyes for a few seconds.
"wanna watch a movie?" he broke their silence. she nodded in response and opened her laptop. they scrolled through netflix for awhile until they found something remotely interesting. she placed it in between them and laid back a bit.
"so why couldn't you fall asleep?" she asked him.
"not a fan of hotels, this is very nice and all but i'd much rather be in my own bed. plus cody snores like crazy."
"i can imagine." she laughed.
"everyone else in my room was sleeping anyway, i figured you'd be up."
"ah,"
not much later, trea fell asleep. she turned to look at him and let out a soft smile. she soon fell asleep alongside him.
she woke up much closer to him than she fell asleep. 9:20 am, the clock read. trea was still sound asleep next to her. she left him there, until she heard a knock at her door. 'fuck' she thought.
"one second!" she yelled. she sat up and shook the boy next to her, "trea, trea!" she whispered. he gently opened his eyes to see her aggressively shaking him. "you cant be here!" she added "go hide in the bathroom!" she pointed. they heard the knocking again.
"oh shit," he said as he sat up. he obeyed and went into the bathroom to hide from whoever was out there. vanessa went to the door and opened it up.
"hi!" she said acting like nothing was going on.
"have you seen trea?" it was cody.
"oh, no i haven't, sorry about that."
"okay, thanks anyway" he walked off and vanessa quickly shut the door.
"you can come out now." she exclaimed. he walked out of the bathroom.
"who was it?"
"cody, he was looking for you." she replied. he grabbed his phone off her bed and headed out the door.
"bye," he said as he sped out the door. and he was gone before she could say anything.
