I feel butterflies in my stomach
Dreams warm smile appears so I can't stop myself from smiling too
Then the entire practice we gave each other small glances
I go to the changing room and take off my skates, that feels great
My cheeks hurt from smiling so much
I'm all alone in the changing room but suddenly I hear footsteps approaching towards me
I try to pay attention to the footsteps but i get disturbed by a pat on my shoulder
I jump and scream awkwardly
"Oh sorry George I didn't mean to scare you" i turn around and see the same eyes i was looking at the whole practice
"It's alright" i say and get back to packing my stuff
"You were awesome today on the ice" Dream says
My heart makes a flip and I'm all flustered
I loved the compliment but how do I respond?
I had some trouble taking compliments since i was a kid
So instead of saying something sweet back my dumbass just gives Dream a stare
"I saw you had trouble with jumping today...are you scared cause of the last accident?" He asks me and puts one of his hands on my cheek
"Yeah" i say and look down from the shame
"I think you should take a break" he suggests
"I can't" i say still looking at the floor
"I'll never get to the olympics like this" i add and hold back my tears
"Hey hey George no, don't even say that, you just need a break from all this and not being able to jump isn't even a bad thing, your body isn't ready to do an axel right now" he says and kneels down to be facing me
"Maybe you're right" i quietly admit
"Come on lets have at least a little bit of fun together" he says trying to cheer me up
I lift my head up and smile
He takes my heavy bag and we go into his car
"Where are we going?" I ask
"It's a surprise" he replies and puts his hand on my thigh
I get butterflies and my face turns a dark shade of pink
We finally arrive...
We get out of the car and see a big beautiful building, we enter it and it's actually a restaurant
Its a very fancy restaurant i could never afford
I look at Dream while he's smiling at me
"Don't worry about anything today alright?" He gently says
"Ill try" i say and chuckle
I look around the beautiful place and realize that everyone is wearing formal clothes
And look at myself and Dream...
"i dont think we're dressed correctly" I whisper to Dream
He looks at me and giggles
"It doesn't matter" he says
Im literally wearing sweats and a hoodie, Dream is also wearing something similar
Everyone is wearing beautiful dresses and black suits
I get a bit uncomfortable cause everyone is staring at us while we're going to out table
Dream notices that i don't feel comfortable
"Hey don't look at their stupid faces, they couldn't care less about what we are wearing, i don't think we should care either" he says while I'm looking around
I just nod i don't want to upset Dream with my anxiety
We order and i totally forget that i was anxious cause Dream said so many stupidly funny things that I totally forgot about everything
It was great, the food was delicious, it wasn't as awkward as I thought and I realized that i fall even harder for him every second
