Fresh tears fell from his eyes. Aubrey didn't know what to do. He was still frozen in shock.
Whether or not he should hug her, kiss her he didn't know until Adrianne spoke again.
Her eyes opened but immediately she regretted it because of the intense glare from the light. Her head swayed back and forth, she groaned from the pain that was now evident to her.
Seeing her do that made him smile that was shortly followed by a scoff. He couldn't believe it. After such a long time waiting for his prayers to be answered
Her tongue licked her lips as she groaned in pain some more. It was beginning to hurt badly, being in a coma for so long they didn't need to give her any pain killers because it wasn't needed at the time but now she did.
Memories started flooding back to her as she opened her eyes slowly adjusting them to the light. Her eyes scanned her surroundings taking them in.
They then landed on the man that she felt like she hadn't seen in ages. Tears pooled in her eyes seeing him after all this time.
Her mother watched from the other side of the room as the reunion she'd been waiting for was finally happening.
"Aubrey!" She breathed out causing him to defrost.
"Yeah baby it's me, I'm right here!" He quickly wiped his face but that didn't stop the tears from falling.
"I missed you mama, so much!" He managed to get out feeling the huge lump in his throat. Aubrey was trying his hardest not to bust out in tears from the joy and relief he was feeling.
"Baby- come here" That word warmed her heart. He didn't need to be told twice.
Rising up from his spot in the chair he called his bed for months he laid his body down on top of hers. The pain didn't matter to her at that moment. She used both her hands and embraced him into a weak hug as she didn't have all her energy back just yet.
Aubrey made note not to put any pressure on the part that she had surgery to remove the bullet at. Tears trickled down Adrianne's face hearing her lover cry into her chest.
Aubrey had never been the one to cry like that but he couldn't hold it in. The love of his life had awoken. God brought her back to him. He couldn't be more grateful.
In that moment he couldn't help but to thank him for answering his prayer yet again.
"Baby, look at me" She whispered but Aubrey still heard her. He did as told and pulled back looking at her.
She raised her hands up to his face and used her thumbs to wipe his tears. "You don't have to cry anymore Aubrey, I'm here. I'm not going to leave you again" Sighing he placed his forehead on hers. Adrianne placed her hands on his arm as they enjoyed their first intimate moment together in a long time.
"Where are they?" She asked wincing in pain causing Aubrey to let up a bit.
"I'm going to call the family in a-"
"Our babies. Where are my babies, are they okay?" Asked Adrianne. Although her memory was a little jumbled as the minutes went by some things became clearer to her.
The very last thing she could remember was that she was hurt by someone. Someone in her circle, Adonis and Promise were there causing her eyes to widen and she became frightened.
"Please tell me there okay Aubrey" She squeezed him arm as more tears fell from her eyes.
Aubrey saw how afraid she was and let her know that they were fine.
"Don't worry mama. They are fine, they're with the family back home. Speaking of which I better go call them-" She tugged on his arm as he turned to get his phone off the table.
"Wait- as badly as I want to see them, i missed you baby" His heart fluttered hearing those words. He looked down into her eyes and saw the same look she 'd seen when they first met.
"We're gonna have all the time to catch up. As badly as I just want to stay here with you, your family would kill me if I didn't tell them that you were awake the very second. I'm already risking my life" Aubrey's light joke caused her to laugh.
"No they won't babe, I'm qire they'll understand" She was unaware of the hostility her family had towards Aubrey since the whole situation occurred. Her father, despite how he'd calmed down, was still upset.
Reece felt like the entire thing could've been prevented if Aubrey was more strict with his first born's mother. That his baby girl wouldn't have been in this condition if Aubrey protected her more and during his time spent at the hospital he let that be known.
She shifted in bed and Aubrey could see the discomfort in her face.
"I'm going to get the doctor, I'll be right back" He said leaning down to her level, placing a kiss on her lips.
For the first time in what seemed like forever he was able to kiss her lips feeling what it felt like to have her kiss him back. God did he miss her- he missed her more than he could put into words.

4:30 PM
Seeing the people she loved walk through the door was one of the most emotional things she ever encountered in her life.
Earlier she'd gotten a strong dose of painkillers so she was fine for the time being. The doctor also did a full examination on her and everything seemed to be okay.
"Don't ever do that to us again Adrianne. You almost gave me a heart attack!" Kenya held her chest before leaning down towards her level to hug her.
"Yeah man you almost killed a nigga sis!" Troy followed.
"I missed you guys too!" She smiled, feeling the tears start to form.
She then saw her father appear with Miss Sandi.
"Daddy-" She held out her arms for him.
Reece didn't think twice before hugging his daughter. "I missed you so much baby girl!" Tears rolled down his face as it did hers.
"I missed you too daddy!" Reece pulled back and gave Sandi a chance.
Embracing her made Adrianne feel somehow like it was her mother that she was hugging.
Everyone had gotten a chance to see and welcome Adrianne back. But she was confused as to why she hadn't seen the kids yet and as to why the love of her life was missing.
"Where are Aubrey and the Kids?" She asked her sister who sat at her bedside.
"He's bringing the kids up" Her mouth formed an "O" and then nodded.
Speaking of the devil. Just then Aubrey walked in with Promise and Adonis.
Immediately seeing her daughter and who had become like her son caused her to feel tons of emotion.
Placing her hands over her mouth, Kenya helped her sit up a bit.
"Hi bubbs, I missed you so-" Adonis didn't allow Adrianne to finish that sentence he ran to her and hugged her tightly.
She didn't care if it hurt, she only cared about him and his sister at that moment.
"Easy buddy, you don't wanna hurt-" Adrinne looked at Aubrey and said that it was okay.
The onlookers couldn't help but awe at the sight. Kenya had tears in her eyes seeing their interaction.
Last but not least was her baby.
Aubrey carefully handed the now five month old to her mother.
Adrianne couldn't stop crying. She'd missed so much of her baby's life in those two months which made her even more sad. She'd missed so much with both kids.
Promise however was sleeping in her father's arms but the second she felt the warmth of her mother her eyes opened.
It was as she knew. She did know.
Adrianne placed a kiss on her baby's forehead and then placed her gently on top.
She was happy to be back. To be reunited with her family.
Finally seeing her reunited with her family it was time for Marissa too leave.
Something made Adrianne look to the side of her and she saw her mother.
Shooting her a smile Marissa waved goodbye as she disappeared into thin air.
