we left our dorm and headed towards our next lesson which was DADA, Professor Moody had planned a different lesson for us. When we entered the classroom we were a few minutes late, but no body seemed to notice.
I scanned the room with a look of confusion plastered on my face, the desks and chairs had all been moved to the outskirts of the room and in the middle was a long platform. I continued to scan the room realizing there were more people in the room than usual, I looked to Draco who looked just as confused as me. "What's going on?" Draco asked me, "I don't know i got here the same time as you" i sarcastically replied.
We made our way over to Blaise and Matteo who both seemed to have an annoyed look plastered on their faces. "What's the matter with you two?" Draco commented. Matteo didn't break his eye contact from where he was staring. "Professor Moody thought it would be a good idea if we practiced our skills, so todays lesson we'll be dueling" he sighed. "oh so just like second year then?" Draco smirked raising his brows.
"Basically yeah" Blaise cut in "except this time, we'll be doing it against the durmstrang students" he said, earning an annoyed sigh from matteo. I felt the blood in my veins run cold, i decided to look where matteo was looking, i already knew who he was looking at, i just had to see it for myself. I made eye contact with Axel, a twisted grin appearing on his lips. I shuddered before looking back to matteo, a panicked look in my eyes.
"Don't worry Del, just stay with us, he won't try anything in a room full of people" Blaise spoke, rubbing my arm gently. I knew he was right, that Axel was to much of a coward to do anything with everyone watching. I took a deep breath and turned to face moody as he began to talk.
"As of now i have taught you countless spells to aid you in dueling, today we will be applying those spells" he chuckled. "Can i have a volunteer for the first round?" he asked. There was silence, everyone started to look around awkwardly, suddenly i heard a familiar voice. "I'll do it!" Goyle sniggered, "only if i can get some house points tho" he shouted over to moody. "Very well my boy" he said holding his hands up as if he was surrendering.
All he needed now was someone to duel against, I looked over to the durmstrang boys and my eyes met Victors, he smiled at me before waving, taking a step forward and volunteering himself to duel. I started to laugh at the sudden realization that Goyle was about to get the beating of his life. The classroom was quite and so he heard me laughing. "What so funny you stupid mudblood" Goyle snapped at me. "Oh nothing, just can't wait to see victor send you to the hospital wing that's all" I started to giggle, glaring at him.
This caused victor to chuckle, "you know me to well little one" he smirked at me, i watch as draco rolled his eyes, Goyle gulped, clearly he hadn't thought it through. I watched as they both walked up to the platform, wands in hands.
Goyle tried to throw the first spell but it was quickly deflected by Victor, he smirked before flinging 3 back at him, sending Goyle straight on his arse. Never the less he climbed back up to his feet and attempted to throw some more at Victor. I knew Victor, he could easily beat goyle with his eyes closed. Victor simply flicked his wand and sent Goyle flying against the wall. Goyle started shouting about his arm, I started to laugh as crabbe had to help him up and escort him to madam pomfrey.
"Miss Rain, seeing as you find this so amusing, you will be the second person to duel" Moody boomed, a small smirk spreading across his face. I knew moody had it in for me, he always did from the beginning. I felt a small grasp of my hand and looked to see Draco, his eyes secretly begging me not to agree, however i wasn't scared of a little duel.
I shrugged "alright" much to Moodys surprise, and walked up to the platform. "Victor, since you were the winner last round, how would you like to duel Miss Rain?" Moody said eyeing us both. Victor looked at me before shaking his head and chuckling. "My little Delilah is the last person i'd want to duel, let someone else have a go" he said before climbing down the short flight of stairs.
"Very well Mr Krum, do i have any other volunteers?" Moody asked raising an eyebrow. Before anyone had a chance to reply, Axel started marching up the stairs, an evil grin plastered on his face. "I would love to do the honor Professor" he spat, not taking his eyes of me. I felt my hands begin to tremble slightly, but i held my head high. "Im sure Delilah wouldn't mind, would you?" Axel spoke, venom dripping of his tongue. "Certainly not" i sneered back.
I turned my head to face where Draco and the others were, there faces filled with concern. I gulped before turning back to face Axel.
Draco's POV:
As soon as i heard Moody call delilah up i knew it was going to end badly, i squeezed her hand slightly, pleading with her not to go, but of course her stubbornness got the better of her. "alright" i heard her shrug to my dismay, i internally cursed myself for not offering to take her place. I watched as she strolled up to the platform and stood there waiting for the next instruction.
I was relieved when Victor said he wouldn't duel her, he had a soft spot for her that annoyed me slightly, but i needed to get over it. However i knew that if he was the one dueling her, he would have gone easy on her and probably would have let her win. As he walked down the small steps to go back to his group, i watched Axel as an evil smirk grew on his face.
I knew exactly where this was going and exactly what was about to happen, i felt panic begin to form in the bottom of my stomach. Blaise nudged me slightly, "she'll be fine mate she's stronger than you think, and if he does anything to bad they'll intervene" blaise spoke, his voice slightly shaken, i could tell he was nervous to.
Sure enough i watched Axel climb the stairs. "I would love to do the honor Professor" I heard his evil smirk through his words. I gulped. "I'm sure delilah wouldn't mind, would you?" he continued. I felt sick to my stomach with what was about to happen. "Certainly not" i heard her say rather annoyed. I looked to her and saw her looking back at me, i gulped, i could tell she was uncomfortable with the situation, but non the less she held her head high. I just prayed to merlin that she would be okay.
i watched as they began to duel, Axel fired a spell at her which she quickly deflected, i sighed a relief, that happened a few more times before she casted a spell of her own. "Levicorpus" i heard her say, as she pointed her wand directly at him. He began to levitate in the air slightly. I watched as Delilah began to chuckle, i smiled in amusement, she was hot when she did stuff like this, i could feel a small sensation begin to form in my stomach. "Expleliarmus" she then said, disarming him of his wand and sending him flying backwards.
Delilah's POV:
I couldn't believe i actually did it. I listened to Axel groan in pain, i knew it was no pain compared to the one he inflicted upon me. I walked to the end of the platform and stood over him lying on the floor. "that's what you get you dick" i hissed at him before turning around and walking of the platform and back towards Matteo and the others. My hands were still slightly shaky from the adrenaline rush. "Well done Miss Rain, 10 points to slytherin" i heard Moody speak in a surprised tone.
Blaise was the first to reach and congratulate me. "well done Del, i knew you could do it, way to get some sort of revenge as well, you humiliated him in front of everyone" he began to chuckle, he threw his arms around me and brought me into a hug. Next was Matteo, he placed a small kiss on my cheek, "i didn't doubt you for a second" he whispered. I knew the kiss on my cheek was because Draco was there, but his words meant a lot to me. Draco cleared his throat before nudging matteo away from me.
"Get of her Riddle i want to talk to her" He snapped at him, Matteo winked at me before turning and talking to blaise. Draco grabbed my arm gently pulling me closer to him so he was able to whisper to me. "I'm proud of you Delilah" he whispered stroking a circle on the small of my back. I smiled gently at his words. "I won't lie and say i wasn't absolutely terrified he might hurt you, because i was, but you really put him in his place" he continued on. I turned to face him, a small smile across his face also. "Thank you Draco, it means a lot coming from you" i blushed slightly, pushing my hair behind my ear.
"Also not to mention how much it turned me on watching you being feisty" he growled, moving his hand down from the small of my back, stroking the top of my arse. My cheeks burned up and i quickly looked away from him, i heard him chuckle behind me.
