It's been a month since yoongi was staying with you both. And you loved his company as per the jolly and cheerful person he was unlike his younger brother.
"Drive safe and don't overwork. Bye~" You bid Jungkook bye as he left for his office. As always no bye and hug in return, not even a small smile.
You sighed and came back to living room. You saw Yoongi, sitting on the couch talking to someone with a big smile on his face.
You walked to him as you sat beside him. After he saw you coming he cut the call, you knew who he was talking to as you asked.
"Whom you're talking with Oppa? Let me guess. It was Aeri unnie right?" You wiggled your eye brows playfully, making him blushed.
"Omg~ Oppa you're blushing." You laughed making him blushed more.
Aeri was Yoongi's girlfriend. They both were in relationship from past 2 years. You met Aeri a couple of times and you must say that's she was the sweetest person you've ever met in your entire life.
But so was Yoongi, they both perfectly fit with eachother.
How you wished Jungkook to be like his brother. But that guy was happy living a walking stone.
"What happened?" Yoongi asked pulling you out from your thoughts.
"Nothing." You shook your head as he nodded.
"Oh by the way y/n. Get ready in evening, we're going to Aeri's house." He told you.
"To unnie's house? But wh-" But you stopped when you realised something, as you looked at him with wide eyes.
"Omg- You're not kidding me right?" You asked with a big grin on your face as he giggled and nodded.
"My goodness, I'm soo happy for you Oppa. You're finally going to marry unnie." You said as you hugged him tightly.
"Haha Thank you y/n. But I'm nervous, what if her parents don't like me?" He pouted with a frown.
"Oh c'mon. Till date no one has been born who doesn't like THE MIN YOONGI so cool down." You said proudly, tapping his shoulder as he chuckled seeing your dramatic self. "Thank y/n, your words indeed helped me." He smiled and you nodded.
"But oppa? Why are you taking us with you?" You asked.
"Well I just wanted only you to come because even if Jungkook would come, he's of no help. But then it would be rude if I only call you. So I called you both to come with me" He explained and you couldn't agree more on that.
"Alright, don't worry then. We will come with you." You gave him a thumbs up.
"Did you inform about this to Jungkook?" You asked to which he nodded.
"Yep, I did. Don't worry, he will come home early today."
"Oh Ok." You nodded.
"Y/n, I have some work. I should go now." He stood up as he left the house.
"And he didn't even told me about this." You pouted. You went back to the kitchen for doing the chores, which were left.
"Finally...done. I should go and take some rest now." You nodded and went to your room.
Time skip to evening~
Yoongi and your in laws were already gone. Jungkook was in the living room waiting for you.
"What is taking her so lo--" he got interrupted by the clicking sound of your heels.
Turning his head to the stairs, he saw you coming downstairs in a beautiful dress. You're looking so breathtaking to him. He would be lying if he said that you didn't make his heart skipped a beat.
He gulped when he saw you coming towards him as he averted his gaze to other direction.
Y/n's dress.
"Let's go." You smiled at him, making his heart fluttered. He loved seeing you smile.
He nodded and made his way to his car, while you followed him. You both got into his car, as he drove to the Aeri's house.
You both got off the car and saw Yoongi's car already there, making you worried.
"Are we late? Is this because of me?" You pouted sadly as you looked at Jungkook.
"No we are not. Let's go." He took your hand in his as he intertwined his fingers with yours, sending chills over your body and your heart started beating in an uneven pace, your cheeks gained a crimson red colour on his touch.
You're about to ask him why he held your hand. But remembered what he said earlier. We have to act like a true couple in front or others and outside. You sighed and decided to not say anything.
But you're upset with the fact that he didn't mean anything, that was all just an mere act. Jungkook looked at you with a warm smile as you both made your way inside their house.
"Y/n, Jungkook. You both are here." You saw Mrs Jeon smiling at you, as they were sitting with the couple of their age while Yoongi and Aeri were sitting infront of them.
"He is Jungkook, my younger son and she is his wife, Y/n." Mr Jeon introduced you both as you both bowed to them.
"And they are Mr and Mrs Lee, Aeri's parents." He introduced them to you both and you both sat down.
"Yah!! What took you so long?" Yoongi whispered to you as you gave him an apologetic smile.
"Hey unnie, how are you? You're looking beautiful today." You smiled at Aeri as she blushed at your words.
You all were sitting, while your in laws were talking to her parents. You knew it from the start that they are gonna agree, because Mrs Jeon really seemed to like Aeri.
"Jungkook, Look how cute they look together, right?." You whispered to him, as he looked over Yoongi, who was trying to talk with Aeri but guess what she was soo shy to talk back.
"Yeah" He nodded.
"Why are you being so shy? It's not an arrange marriage or something. Talk to me, baby" Yoongi pouted as he looked at Aeri, who looked at him in disbelief.
"Don't baby me. We are literally sitting with our parents." She glared at him, making his pout grew more.
"But aren't you the one who love when I call you baby. Then why are you stopping me now? He whispered again.
"I'm not stopping you, just don't call me baby now." She sighed.
As they both were talking, their parents stood up, gaining everyone's attention.
"So we have decided." Mr Jeon smiled.
"Huh? What?" Yoongi asked as they laughed at his frowning self.
"Calm down young man. First hear me out." He laughed.
"So yeah, we have decided that Yoongi and Aeri's wedding will be held next month." He declared, making you all burst into a big smile.
"Oh my god!! Congratulations Oppa, congratulations unnie." You said as you hugged them and so did Jungkook.
"Unnie is soo lucky that she's getting married to the person who loves her." You mumbled with a pout.
But little did you knew, that Jungkook heard this and he kinda felt bad, hearing that. She thought he didn't love her. But she was right. He didn't love her.
There was a war going inside his head.
I don't love her....right? Or do I?
He sighed and looked away.
Yoongi and Mr and Mrs Jeon, went back before while you just got in the car, sitting on the passenger's seat as he too sat inside and started driving.
You thought of saying something but stopped when you realised, he will either hum or nod.
He was driving in the silence and you're just looking outside of the window.
"Y/n?" He called you as you turned your head to him.
Am I hallucinating or he really did call me?
"Did you called me?" You asked as he looked at you for a second, then nodded.
"Yes?" You waited for him to say anything.
"I..I just want to tell you that... that I'm trying...just..just give me some time." His sentence felt unreal to your ears. As you blinked your eyes to check if he really did say that or you're dreaming?
The car stopped and you realised you both were home now but neither of you get off of the car or tried to speak.
You're still in shock by what he said. You never expected him to say something like that all of a sudden.
You finally realised a sigh as Jungkook looked at you.
"You...You will wait right?" His voice was so soft, no where close to the cold Jungkook you knew. You slightly smiled and nodded.
You saw a wave of relief washed over his face and he gave you a nod.
