One after another, they each hauled themselves up into the upside down.
Steve went first, doing a fancy little flip thing and landing cleanly on his feet. He looked up at the girls who were staring at him and gave them a proud and cocky smirk which made the three of them roll their eyes at him
"What an idiot," Adira commented with a scoff
"What does he want us to do? Applaud?" Robin said, backing up Adira
Steve then dragged the mattress back over under the rope so that everyone else had somewhere safe to fall. Then the rest went up and helped each other so that none of them got hurt in the process.
"Alright, everyone remember the plan. Don't change it or something could go seriously wrong, we're already up to our necks in shit anyways," Adira said to them as they sorted out their weapons
"Don't worry Addy, we've got this okay," Robin said with a small nod. She walked over to Adira and threw her arms around her, hugging her tightly just in case it was the last time that they would ever get to see each other again. Robin then took this as her chance, "when this is all over I nee- there is something that I need to tell you," Robin told her before pulling away and giving her a smile
"Cant you tell me quickly now?" Adira asked in confusion, unaware of the severity of what Robin planned on telling her
"It would take to much time and I'm not sure how you will react and depending on how you react, it could definitely impact how I behave and perform during the plan, so I think it's best to just wait," Robin said quickly, going on a small rant again
Adira nodded her head and gave her a smile, "I can't wait," she said with a small nod. Robin gave her one last smile and then threw the door to Eddie's caravan open, "I'll see you later. Be safe," she said to her firmly before exiting the trailer
"Good luck guys," Nancy told them, a serious look on her face
Steve walked over to his sister and threw his arms around her, burying his head in her neck, taking her off guard, "I'll see you at the end of this. Don't do anything fucking stupid alright, promise me."
"I promise," she said with a small chuckle, "I'm always gonna be here by your side. Who else is gonna keep you under control," Adira said with a laugh as she tightened her grip around her brother, hiding her fear covered face in his shoulder
Adira pulled away from the hug first, "see ya later loser," she told him with a grin
"Yeah yeah whatever moron," he said with a small smirk before punching her in the shoulder playfully, "be careful you there," Steve said to her, "listen alright. If things start to go south, I mean, at all, you abort okay. Draw the attention of the bats, keep them busy for a minute or two. We'll take care of Vecna. Don't try to be cute, or be a hero or something. Okay, you guys are just-"
"Decoys," Dustin cut him off, telling him that we know the plan, "don't worry. You can be the hero Steve."
"Absolutely, I mean. Look at us, besides Adira, we are not hero's," Eddie said in amusement, he had a small grin on his face as he looked over at Adira, Dustin and then finally Steve
Steve nodded and went to leave but Adira stopped him quickly, her heart aching at the thought of Chrissy, "hey Steve?" She asked softly, her brother turned back around to look at her, he wasn't sure if this was a good idea or not yet, and he was so scared that he was going to loose his sister or his friends, "make him pay."
Steve gives one last look to Eddie and Dustin, telling them that they better look after his sister before following the other two girls out
The trio walked out and turned around to face the trailer. Adira was in the middle of the two boys, holding each other their hands tightly. This was their station, this was where they were going to be as the plan played out.
"Not bad," Eddie said with a small grin as he looked over at the trailer that had been his home for his entire life
"Not bad at all," Dustin replied with a wide smile on his face. The three of them gave each other a look, grinning widely and chuckling. All of them were terrified, and they knew it, but they sure as hell didn't show it
"Well boys, now for the fun part," Adira said and pat the two of them on the shoulders before they jogged back into the van and began their trip over to Eddie's room, throwing the door open
"Jesus Christ," Eddie said in awe as he stared over at the guitar in the corner of the room. It was no secret that it was his most prized possession that he had owned in his whole life.
Dustin let's out a small whimper of awe and excitement as he looked over at the instrument, it somehow looked even better here than it dad back in their world
"Oh my god, you boys are ridiculous," Adira said and rolled her eyes as she grinned at how cute their reactions were. Their eyes were filled with love and awe as they looked at the instrument
"It's like... she's destined for an alternate dimension," Eddie reached out and grabbed his guitar, carefully holding it in his calloused fingers, careful not to drop it, "what do you say you too? Are you ready for the most metal concert in the history of the world?" Eddie asked, still staring at his guitar in awe
"That a rhetorical question?" Dustin asked with a chuckle
"Oh my god you guys are so fucking dramatic," Adira told them before turning around on her heel and walking out of the room, "I swear those two are three year olds."

"Okay she's in, initiate phase three," Robin commands them. Adira feels her stomach drop at the words. Max was in Vecnas mind, where she was in danger
"Copy that. Initiating phase three," Dustin replied to Robin through the walkie talkie. Adira and Dustin quickly began to plug all the cords together before giving Eddie a thumbs up, "let's hope they hear this," Dustin commented quickly over the whining amp.
Adira walked over to the amp and turned it up to Maximum volume. Eddie nodded his head, "Chrissy. This is for you," he said, making Adira smile sadly.
He then began to play the guitar loudly. The sound of 'Master of puppets' by Metallica filled their ears, it was so loud that it was painful, yet exhilarating.
Lightning cracked over the top of them as Adira and Dustin banged their heads to the loud music which was being played perfectly.
They sat there for a few minutes and couldn't see any bats making their way over. They grabbed their binoculars to try and get a better look and finally, they could see thousands of bats flying over to them
"Eddie! We gotta lock down in T-minus 30 seconds," Dustin called out to Eddie over the music. Eddie nodded his head
"T-minus 20," Adira called out 1 seconds later, chills running up and down her spine as she felt the fear really begin to kick in
"T-minus 10!" Dustin exclaimed, fear covering his face
"Five!"
"One!" Dustin called out finally. Eddie stopped playing and put his guitar down, running over and grabbing Adiras hand and dragging her over to the side of the roof
"Come on! Move move move!" Eddie yelled at the two of them and they all jumped off the roof and ran in the direction of the door
"Shit shit shit shit!" Dustin yelled out
"Shit on a mother fucking stick!" Adira exclaimed as Eddie tugged her hand and she tugged Dustin's
They made it to the door and ran in the house. Adira quickly turned around and slammed the front door shut, swear trickling down her face as she looked at the two boys in fear
"This was a bad idea. This was a very fucking bad idea," she cried out, tears beginning to pool in her eyes as she began to freak out, "we're going to die. Oh my god we are going to fucking die!"
Eddie grabbed her face in his hands, "we're not going to die okay! We're going to be fine!" Eddie told her sternly and she nodded her head, calming down
Once they saw that the girl had calmed down enough, Dustin turned to Eddie with a giant grin, "Dude! Most metal concert ever!" He said excitedly and the two of them began to jump around and holler in excitement.
They quickly double checked that all of the doors and windows were blocked before gathering in the middle of the living room, weapons out as they backed up against each other, circling around slowly, ready to defend if they were attacked by the bats
They could hear the bats slamming violently against the house around them, the three of them jumping occasionally when there was an extremely loud bang.
Suddenly, the bangs stopped. They weren't sure if that was a good sign or not... probably not.
"Hey dipshits! Give up that easy huh?" Dustin yelled out to the bats in an antagonistic manner
"Shut the fuck up Dustin," Adira scolded, "is that really necessary?" They then heard scratches above them, and the low growls from the bats
"They're on the roof," Eddie said, stating the obvious, but Adira was too scared to reply with a sarcastic remark.
"Shit shit shit shit shit," Dustin muttered out as they followed the sound of scratching and noticed a small vent in the roof, "they can't get in through there can they?"
Adira looked at it with wide eyes, already knowing the answer, "oh fuck."
