Y/n had a crush on Kang Haerin ever since her trainee days. Once she debuted with her with Triple S, she made it her goal to ask Haerin out.
Haerin and Danielle had broken up, so Y/n took her shot. She asked Haerin out but got rejected because of that Y/n started fooling around with her band mate Nakyoung.
- Y/N POV -
"Jagiya, it's time for everyone to get on stage!" Nakyoung unnie said.
"Coming!" I responded walking out of the dressing room.
As all the idols made their way up the stage to hear the winner of this week's show, I bumped into Haerin.
We both froze for a moment. Nakyoung unnie then grabbed my hand and said "Jagi Kaja!"
I nodded and followed her up the stage. I took a quick glance back to look at Haerin and she furrowed her brows at me.
Newjeans stood and IVE stood next to the MCs while everyone else stood behind them.
Ultimately, Newjeans ended up winning and they did their encore stage. After their silly performance Hanni walked into our dressing room.
"Y/n, wanna hang out this weekend!" She asked cutely.
"Sure!" I answered her.
Haerin and Minji then walked in and greeted us. I waved at her and she politely waved back.
Even though she rejected me about eight months ago, there were no hard feelings among us.
Saturday came around and I picked up Hanni at the Newjeans dorm.
"Oh Nakyoung, you're here too!" Hanni exclaimed and Nakyoung unnie a hug.
"Sorry, she asked to come and I couldn't say no!" I told Hanni as I awkwardly scratched the nape of my neck.
Me and Nakyoung weren't like dating or anything but we did spend a lot of time together.... mostly kissing.
"Why don't you both come in, I'm not really yet" Hanni said as she signaled us to enter.
We got inside and I could see Hyein, Dani, and Haerin sitting on the couch. Hanni went to go change and we sat on the love seat to watch tv with the girls.
Nakyoung unnie held my and and started playing with it. In that moment Haerin got up and changed her seating position to sit next to Danielle instead of next to Hyein.
Me and Nakyoung unnie kept playing around. I took her hand and lightly bit the finger she kept poking me with.
"Are you two like dating or something?" Dani suddenly asked.
"No,"..... "Not really!", We answered her.
"Is anyone in your team dating?" Hyein asked.
"Nope, but we do have hookups at time" Nakyoung unnie answered her.
"Why would she say that?" I internally asked myself feeling a bit embarrassed.
"With each other or with other people?" Dani asked looking confused.
Me and Nakyoung unnie awkwardly looked at each other. Haerin didn't seemed to be paying attention to the conversation but I caught her looking at us real quick.
Nakyoung unnie then rested her head on my shoulder and Haerin nonchalantly did the same, resting her head on Dani.
Danielle looked at Haerin and caressed her cheek.
It made me a bit jealous.
Dani then started poking and tickling Haerin. She kept cutely laughing while I felt my blood boil.
"They're probably back together," I thought to myself trying not to be jealous.
- Haerin POV -
Nakyoung and Y/n unnie were seating with us flirting and everything. It made jealous.
I got up to seat a bit closer to Y/n unnie hoping they'd stop but it just got worse.
Nakyoung unnie then seemed to cuddle into Y/n unnie and I felt my jealousy getting worse, so I leaned into Dani unnie for comfort.
Dani and all the girls know I have a crush on Y/n unnie. Dani unnie was comforting me knowing I was probably jealous. She started tickling me to make laugh and it honestly did make me feel a little better.
"Okay, I'm ready. Let's go!" Hanni unnie said as she came out of her room.
"Can we come?" Dani unnie asked as she held my hand.
"Sure!" Hanni unnie answered.
We all went to go eat at a BBQ then went to a Café.
"Why did you ask if we could come?" I asked Dani unnie as we walked behind the girls.
"I didn't want Hanni unnie to feel like a 3rd wheel," She answered me.
"Plus, you really like her. I'm sure you don't want them getting even closer and having you here probably makes Y/n question her feeling for Nakyoung unnie," Dani unnie explained.
I sighed feeling jealous the entire time, watching as Y/n unnie and Nakyoung unnie held hands.
We eventually made it to the Han River and we sat on the grass. Nakyoung unnie was laying down on the grass using Y/n unnie as a pillow.
It was a bit chilly so I huddled up next to Dani unnie. She put her arm around me to keep me warm.
"Booo! No PDA!" Y/n unnie then randomly said to us.
"Is she jealous?" I asked myself giving her a look.
I nuzzle my head into Dani unnie's neck wanting her comfort.
"Get a room!" She yelled again.
"They're not dating," Hanni unnie told her and I nodded in agreement.
"Ohh... still," Y/n unnie awkwardly said.
Y/n unnie then started poking Nakyoung unnie's face and flirting with her. I looked at them for a moment and Y/n unnie gave me a smug look.
"Ohh you are jealous," I thought to myself.
"She jealous isn't she?" Dani unnie asked.
"If you want to make her jealous back, I don't mind helping you" She said with a mischievous smile.
"Ummm, okay" I answered her after thinking about it a little.
Dani unnie then pulled me into her arms and kissed my cheek.
"Are you sure they're not dating?" We heard Y/n unnie ask Hanni unnie.
"Popo!" Nakyoung unnie said to y/n unnie as she pointed at her cheek.
Y/n unnie then kissed her cheek and I sighed in frustration.
"I'm starting to feel like a 5th wheel!" Hanni unnie said her feelings out loud.
Y/n unnie suddenly kissed her cheek and Hanni unnie screamed.
"You seem to want a kiss too!" Y/n unnie teased her.
"Let's go to the bakery!" Hanni unnie suggested and so we all got up to follow her lead.
While at the bakery, Dani unnie gave me a back hug as we look at the cupcakes.
I turned to look at Y/n unnie just to see her holding Nakyoung unnie's waist too.
"Popo!" I saw Nakyoung unnie mouth say as she pointed to her lips.
My jealousy got the best of me and pulled away from Dani's grip, walking over to Y/n unnie.
"Can we talk for a second?" I asked her.
"Umm, okay" She answered.
I pulled her to the corner of the bakery and angrily said, "Can you and your little girlfriend please stop being all flirty in public!"
"Umm, can you and Dani stop being all flirty in public!" She answered crossing her arms.
"Can you at least do it for my sake. It makes my blood boil!" I unconsciously said in frustration.
"Why would you be mad at that? You girlfriend is right there!" She responded.
"We're not dating!" I answered her angrily.
"So you're jealous?" Y/n unnie coldly asked.
"Yes!" I admitted.
"Why would you be jealous?! Have you forgotten that you rejected me!" She said angrily.
"I had just gotten out of a relationship!!" I yelled at her.
"Who asked someone out when they just got dumped?!?" I asked her genuinely wondering why the hell she couldn't wait until I was ready.
Y/n unnie sighed in frustration and rubbed her face a bit.
"Why couldn't you have said that then?" She calmly asked me.
"I've been here trying to get over you, when this whole time you've had feelings for me too" Y/n unnie said.
"I do. I really like you but I guess I messed it up. I'm sorry I got upset. My jealousy gets the best of me sometimes," I told her feeling genuinely sorry.
She was right. I rejected her. I had no right to be upset.
We both went back to the girls. We all decided to get a table and just hangout in the bakery for a bit.
"Can you pass me the butter?" I asked y/n unnie.
"Get it yourself," She coldly said being mad at me for some reason.
"Can you two shut up. Stop with you childish games and just make out already!" Nakyoung unnie suddenly said.
"Unnie!" Y/n unnie exclaimed.
"I've spent all afternoon trying to make Haerin jealous and I'm tired. Can you two just stop being idiots and date already?" Nakyoung unnie continued on with her rant.
Hanni unnie was just laughing the entire time.
"Wait is that why you asked to come? Why you keep being all touchy?" Y/n unnie asked her.
"Yes," Nakyoung unnie said looking at her like she's stupid.
"You were doing that too? Omg me too!" Dani unni exclaimed and high-fived her.
"Now, you. Pass her the butter and go sit next to her!" Nakyoung unnie ordered Y/n unnie.
Y/n unnie seemed a bit scared so she got up and did as she was told.
"Hold her hand!" She ordered again.
"I don't wann-" I was about to say something when Nakyoung unnie turned to look at me and said, "Accept the hand holding!"
She looked scary, so I did as I was told too.
Y/n unnie and I reached for each other's hand. Once our hands finally touched, it was like everything magically fell into place.
We weren't upset at each other anymore or jealous or anything. We held hands under the table not really saying anything to each other but just smiling.
We all went back to the dorm. Nakyoung unnie and Y/n unnie then started saying their goodbyes.
Y/n unnie hugged but before pulling away, she asked "So if I asked you out again will you reject me?"
We pulled away and I smiled at her. "How about I ask you and you can do the rejecting this time," I told her.
She cutely chuckled and nodded.
I suddenly felt really nervous but gathered up the courage to ask her, "Would you like to go out with me?"
"I'd love to go out with you, Haerin" She sweetly answered.
I playfully pushed her, teasing "You were supposed to reject me!"
Y/n unnie suddenly cupped my face and kissed me.
"WOOOOOOHHHH!" We heard the girls tease.
My heart started to melt as I kissed her back. I smiled through the kiss not wanting her to pulled away.
She pulled away and asked, "See you tomorrow?"
I shyly nodded and hugged her goodbye.
Nakyoung unnie and Y/n unnie finally left and I couldn't stop smiling from the kiss just moments earlier.
"WOOOOHHHH HAERIN'S IN LOVE!!" Minji unnie teased.
