So, this was originally gonna be a Thanksgiving special but I'm pretty sure I have some type of organization disorder because it made me very uncomfortable and very angry once I realized the chapter wouldn't be posted on Thanksgiving Day. Not to mention some people don't celebrate Thanksgiving sooo-
How would they react to you catching them crying? 🤔
This could technically be labeled as an angst to fluff scenario if you take it that way but really, I just felt like making a chapter of you comforting them since I always make chapters of them comforting/caring for ya'll-
Also because I've been reading a lot of Tokito angst on tumblr and I wanted to write out my sadness-

Giyu Tomioka
Giyu is always stoic and calm, causing many to misunderstand and dislike him for it. He deals with a lot ( inferiority complex, survivor's guilt, etc. ) but never talks about it with anyone because he doesn't want to burden anyone with his problems. He's scared of being too open, to rely on someone too much, to drive them away.
So, he opts to keep it all inside. To never show how he feels and to remain stoic. But sometimes, like right now, things become too much for him to handle and he ends up shedding a few tears..
"Giyu?" You call cupping his face in your hands. Giyu just stares at you. Your face always managed to calm him down..
"Are you alright?"
It takes him a moment but he ends up nodding which caused you to frown. He's always like this, always keeping quiet and never telling you what's upsetting him.
"You know you can talk to me, right?"
He nods.
"If there's anything wrong. I'll always be here to listen to you."
He nods again.
"Anything at all.." Another nod. Is he even paying attention to you? He's just staring, his hands now clasped over yours and squeezing them gently. It's almost as if he's hypnotized or something..
"..I.. Thank you.." He mutters, voice no higher than a whisper. You almost didn't hear it. Slowly becoming captivated by his pretty blues. They were always so enchanting and showed so much emotion in them. An obvious contrast to his usual dull expression.
"..But I'm fine, really.."
Letting out a small sigh, you finally decide to give up on this and just nod along. After all, he isn't inclined to tell you anything and as much as you want to know, you have to respect his boundaries.
"Alright." You say, "But next time, promise me you'll at least consider coming over and talking to me next time you feel like this. I don't want you to suffer.."
Giving you another nod, Giyu gives you you a kiss on your cheek. It's quick and fleeting but manages to give you a bit of reassurance.
"Promise.."
Obanai Iguro
Obanai doesn't cry. He just doesn't. He's been through and dealt with too much to just break down like that. So, why is he crying today of all days? Was it because he was so overwhelmed today? Was it because you two got into a bad argument earlier? Or was it because you saw him without his bandages? Who knows, he just knows that something caused his eyes to water right in front of you and now he's locked in his room with you banging on his door.
"Obanai! Come on, please let me in!" You're always so loud. Do you ever shut up? You can be so annoying sometimes..
"Please, baby! I promise I didn't even see what was under it for real!" And now you're lying. Is that suppose to make him feel better? Because it doesn't, quite the opposite in fact. Especially since the image of your wide eyes has been burned into his memory.
"Actually.. That's a lie. I.. I did see it." At least you're telling the truth now, "And I think you're still my pretty little Obi!" What-
"I must admit I was surprised to see what was behind your mask and I know you're very protective over it but.. I think your scars really cool! I won't ask what happened or how you got them but I do want you to know that it won't change my feelings for you in anyway. You're still beautiful in my eyes..whether you believe me or not and- Whoa!"
You nearly fall when the door abruptly swings open. Luckily you land in the arms of your boyfriend but, before you could react to it Obanai wraps his arms around you and buries his face in your neck, smearing his tears all over your skin.
"If you tell anyone about this I'll subject you to a torture worse than death.."
Despite the threat, the way his voice cracks really tones things down and instead causes you to smile fondly.
"Don't worry. I'd never dream of it."
Mitsuri Kanroji
Mitsuri's a very emotional person. She tends to get overwhelmed pretty easily and usually ends up running over to you whenever she needs to let out a good cry. She feels bad but she can't help it! You're always so comforting despite how much she relies on you..
"I'm sorry, buttercup..!" Mitsuri sobs, trying her best to wipe away her tears but to no avail. She's so sensitive all the time and she always feels so bad when she comes to you like this. Even if it's for the most valid of reasons.
"Sh~! Sh~! It's okay, Mitsu. It's okay.." You say picking her up and placing her on your lap, stroking her hair as you softly whisper in her ear and hold her close.
"But-!"
"No buts. I already know what you're going to say." You cut her off, your voice stern but tender as to not give her the wrong idea, "It's okay to feel like this and it's even more okay to talk to someone about it. You aren't burdening anyone, I don't mind."
..You.. How did she get so lucky? You're so kind, her kind little buttercup and she's truly . But she'll still try to be less of a burden to you in the future.
Shinobu Kocho
Shinobu puts up with a lot on her own. The deaths of her sister, parents, former tsuguko, the manor and it's patients and the girls. Not to mention her revenge plan on the demon who caused her so much pain and suffering in the first place.
What makes things worse is she never lets her true feeling out and is always hiding them behind a smile. Even when she's alone, times rarely come by where she cries or does anything to better handle her emotions. And because of that, you're now here with her sitting on your lap, frustrated and crying into your chest.
"Aw, poor thing.." You utter softly into her ear, "You never accept help from people. You know that's why you're in this situation that you're in right now, right?"
She wants to punch you, to scream and to deny everything you just said but she knows it'd be wrong. She is in this situation because she refused Kanroji and Shinazugawa's help, you're just restating what she already knows. Even so, it still makes her blood boil and her eyes well up with tears out of shear embarrassment.
"Shut up." She snaps causing you to giggle. It's always so amusing whenever things like this happen. The irony of everything always gets you laughing but, now's not the best time to admit that.
"Alright, alright. I'll stop teasing. But in all seriousness, I hope you accept help that's given to you instead of trying to do everything yourself next time. You have others to rely on and their opinion of you won't change because of the simple fact that you need help with something. Remember that."
Sanemi Shinazugawa
Sanemi is harsh, he's rude and he's overall an asshole to most. However, it's all just one big act. A wall that he hides behind to prevent others from seeing his imperfections and weaknesses. He doesn't mean to come off this way ( well, he does but that's besides the point ) but he deals with it and clenches his teeth. When he does cry they usually come in short burst and he's able to bounce back before anyone notices his disappearance but things just took a turn for the worst when you found him.
"Wha- What are you doing here? Leave!" Sanemi snaps harshly despite how shiny his face has gotten from the tears streaming down his face.
"'Nemi I-"
"Don't fucking call me that!"
"But that's your name-"
"No it isn't! Now leave!" Shaking your head, you walk over to Sanemi and sit besides him to which he scowls and inches away from from you.
"Did you get into it with Genya again?" You ask, his frown seems to deepen at the mere mention of the boy.
"The fuck-"
"You don't have to answer y'know. I was asking in a more hypothetical sense anyway." You say cutting him off.
"Listen I know we haven't been together long enough for me to completely understand you and quite frankly, I probably never will. From the little bit you've told me, I know you've been through a lot and you're probably the strongest person I know for not breaking down in tears all the time. But, you know you don't always have to do that, right? That's what I'm here for. To allow you to relax and let everything out without thinking you'll be thought of differently. I'm here to help you and most importantly, I'm here to stay.."
Geez, you seem to have rambled on a bit. You didn't mean to, you just kinda said what was on your mind. Wait, is he holding your hand? How long-
"You're.." He pauses for a moment to wipe the tears from his eyes, "..Such an fucking idiot.." Sanemi murmurs under his breath causing your eyebrows to furrow.
"Hey-!"
"You didn't let me finish." He cuts off, "..You're such an fucking idiot..but you're my fucking idiot and.. I'm happy that you're here for me. Thank you..for everything you've done."
Kyojuro Rengoku
Kyojuro is always the happy one. Always there to cheer others up and comfort others even when he's struggling himself but, why is it that way?
People have become so use to his happy demeanor that they always look past *those* moments. Those moments where his lips dip into a frown for a half of a second or when he bites his bottom lip and lowers his head to keep himself from crying. Those moments where he cracks or slips ups only to laugh it off. Those moments where he walks off all confident like just to go somewhere private and drop to his knees and..
"Kyojuro.." You said, voice ever so light and airy as if you never meant to say it in the first place.
"Uh- Oh! Y/n! I didn't notice you were here..!" He said flashing you his usual smile despite how much his lips are quivering.
"No- No need to panic, sunshine..! I accidentally injured myself while sparring with that Kamado boy. He's very gifted! Accidentally poked me in the eyes hahaha..!" You can't help the frown that forms on your face as you walk over to him.
"Do you honestly think I'd believe some dumb excuse like that?" You ask. There it was. It happened. He frowned. Even if it was only for a second. He frowned.
"But I'm telling the truth!" He said, voice growing more and more uneasy with each word, "Really, you don't have to worry-"
"Just shut up." You snap but still cup his face with the utmost tenderness.
"If you're just going to lie I'd rather you keep your mouth closed.. Honestly, you insult my intelligence sometimes."
Your words stung a little but he's heard worse from his father so it's not that big of a deal-
"I'm sorry for that." You say, eyes softening. "I'm just a little angry. I didn't mean to take it out on you.. Could you please tell me what's wrong."
"Nothing's wrong, sunshine!"
"How can you just say something like that with tears rolling down your face? You're obviously not okay!"
"I don't mean to get so snappy but you need to let others know how you feel sometimes! What's the point of making everyone else happy if you aren't happy yourself? Let others be there for you..or at the very least, me."
Kyojuro stares, he stares for what feels like eternity as you slowly slip your hands away from his face. You sit in a silence for a while, neither of you having anything to say that'll move the conversation forwards. It was honestly unnerving compared to how rowdy you two usually are.
"I.." He starts, looking away from you with his cheeks stained a rosy pink. Wait, is he..getting shy on you?
"I promise I'll tell you what's wrong later just, please don't scold me anymore. I feel like a child enough as is.."
Tanjiro Kamado
Tanjiro deals with a lot, we all know this. His family died, his sister is a demon, he has to deal with death nearly on a daily basis. Not to mention he's constantly worried about his friends and others. That's a lot of stress to put on a person and it would only be natural for him to let his feelings out somehow. However, he would've preferred it if you weren't there to see him in such a state..
"I- Oh..! Angel! I.. I didn't expect you to come in here.."
"Tanjiro? What happened? What's wrong-" You begin walking towards him but Tanjiro gestures you to stop.
"I'm fine, angel. ..I swear! I'm just a little overwhelmed is all.. Nothing to worry about! I'll be back to normal in a few minutes."
"I'm sorry for making you worry but I promise, I'm fine." He's not, "I was just thinking of something and it caused me to react this way! ..No big deal!" He's lying. Lying through his teeth. It's written all over his face.
"You.. You should just go back and-"
"Could you stop lying. It's starting to piss me off." You deadpan, walking over to him. He jumps slightly. You don't usually sound so..pissed. Not at him at least.
"Wh- What?"
"You know I can tell when you're lying, right? I'm not blind. You're face is twisting in that cute dumb-looking face you always make when you're lying."
At this, Tanjiro looks down. Trying his best to avoid eye contact with you as you sit down beside him.
There was silence for a while. Neither of you saying so much as a word and exchanging quick looks between one another before you sigh.
"You don't have to tell me what's wrong but I'm not leaving until I think you're actually okay so, feel free to cry it out or do whatever you have to. ..I'll be by your side."
Muichiro Tokito
Muichiro is an airhead. He's inexpressive and it's hard to read him sometimes. Not only that but ever since he lost his memory he simply has no reason to cry. Sometimes however, when he goes to sleep and falls into slumber, he has nightmares. Nightmares so dark even the toughest of slayers would shed tears out of fear and panic. And, by the time he wakes up his face is drenched in sweat and tears and he's out of breath. It makes him scared to fall asleep but he never remembers the reason why. How odd..
"Mui? Hey, it's me. Calm down." You say as you watch Muichiro's eyes dart around in an uncharacteristic trepidation. You had managed to find him like this by chance as you were passing by the guest room. The heavy sounds of heaving caught your attention and you ended up coming in to check on him, not expecting to find him so..panicked.
You gently cup his face to make him stare at you, "Muichiro, can you name five things you see?"
It takes him a moment to register your question but he eventually speaks, voice much shakier than usual, "Your..shirt.. Your eyes.. The..door.. My..sword..and the wall."
"Good. Now can you name me four things you feel?"
"..Your hands. The bed. ..My clothes. And my hair." Noticing he's much calmer you give him a smile.
"You're halfway there, Ichi. Now name me three things you hear."
"The rain outside.. My voice..and yours."
"How about two things you smell?"
"( Snack of your choice ) and your shampoo."
"Last one. What is one thing you can taste?"
"The cookies you made earlier."
"Good job, love. Do you feel better now?" You ask, wiping away the remaining tears that glide down his face. He nods slowly.
"Do you want to talk about why you were crying?" He shakes his head. It makes you want to frown honestly. You were planning to try and cheer him up but you don't know what to say since you don't even know what made him so upset in the first place.
"Oh, alright then. Well, since you seem to have everything under control now I-" As you were getting up from the bed you were suddenly yanked back with force. You yelp as you fumble back, colliding with Muichiro's chest as he wraps his arms around you in an almost bone-crushing embrace.
"Don't leave." He says, voice sounding almost demanding before softening along with his grip, "Please.."
He sounds so desperate. So..scared. Not to mention how shaky he still is.. Leaving him alone like this would just be downright cruel.
"Okay, I will. Would you like some of my ( Snack of your choice )..?"
Yuichiro Tokito
Yuichiro is usually the one that others go to when they're crying ( You, Muichiro, etc. ) not the other way around. He's used to putting his personal needs ( insecurities, stress.. ) and feelings aside for others he cares about in order to take care of them which isn't healthy. He always ends up breaking apart in the end. Not often but it's not rare for him to suddenly go to his room and not come out for a while.
Today was one of those days but it was different from the rest. Not because today was tougher than usual for him and he could barely keep himself together before he finally got home. No, no, no. He could've handled that just fine. What made today so different is he forgot to lock his door and also forgot you were planning to visit him today.
"Go away..!" Yuichiro shouted face twisting into a mean scowl in a weak attempt to scare you off. Unfortunately, it seems as though it had the opposite affect because you began walking towards him.
"Get.. Get back..! ..Stay away from me!" Not minding how harsh ( yet how shaky ) his tone has gotten, you continue to walk. Step after step after step. You inch closer and closer to him.
Yuichiro tries to chase you away anyway he can. Throwing insults and harsh words at you but it doesn't seem to work. Why won't it work? Why aren't you leaving? Go away! You shouldn't be seeing him like this! This isn't how this is supposed to go!
Yuichiro uses one of his hands to move away, sliding back the closer you get until his back finally hits the wall behind him. He mentally curses himself for deciding to let Muichiro have the bigger room.
"Idiot..! ..Dumbass! ..Stupid waste of space..!" Why aren't you leaving? Any other person would've. Hell, any other person would've left at the first glare he sent their way.
"Stupid-!" Before he can say another insult you manage to get close enough to scoop him in your arms. Pulling him into a soft kiss before pulling away and burying your face into his neck.
"It's okay, babe. I've got you."
It was like a dam broke inside of him. Seriously what the hell's going on with him today? He should be chasing you away not clinging to you like some frightened child! He needs to be more mature! He needs to push you away! He needs-
"My sweet, little Yuichiro. Always carrying everybody else's stress on your shoulders. You're so strong. So sweet. Even if you try to hide it." You coo as you litter his face in butterfly kisses, kissing away his tears only for more to follow shortly after.
"Try to forget everything right now. Your duties. Your chores. Muichiro and others. ..Even me if you have to. Just focus on my breathing and cry it out to your heart's content. And don't worry, I won't tell anyone about this.."
As your cradled his head like he was a new born child and comb through his hair and let the strands slip between your fingers, Yuichiro cried. He cried, and cried, and cried. It felt..nice to be comforted, cared for, and cuddled.. Maybe he'll consider coming to you next time he's feeling like this again.. But that's a big maybe!
Zenitsu Agatsuma
Zenitsu is fragile. He's self-conscious and he puts himself down often. Not to mention how sensitive he is. It's normal for him to break down in tears and go on and on about whatever it is upsetting him and people often look over it but you on the other hand..
"Flash? Did something happen?" You ask, setting him on your lap.
"I'm so useless..!" He sobbed, leaning into you further. He's been trying to work on his problems of clinging to you every time he's down but he can't even seem to get that right. How pathetic, he thought.
"You aren't useless. Don't ever think that."
"But it's true! I don't have the courage Tanjiro does or the strength Inosuke has! I'm always holding them down and I'm always passing out and crying to you about my problems..! I'm a coward! Useless! Pathetic- Mhmp!" And with that, you kissed him. But why? He doesn't deserve it. Why are you kissing someone like-
"You're right, you can be a coward sometimes.." Ouch, "But you can also be brave and fearless when you absolutely have to and I love that about you. I don't know about anyone else but, I love you Zenitsu. For your perfections..and imperfections."
..There you go again. Making his heart flutter with your cherry words. If you keep this up he'll seriously won't be able to stop himself from clinging to you for the rest of his life.
Inosuke Hashibira
Inosuke is confident, cocky, and can be kind of self-centered at times but, what he never shows people are those other times. Those times where he fucks up and sobs. Where he clings to you like a scared child and cries into your chest, Those times where he looks truly..weak.
"You're so strong, and brave, and amazing." You murmur.
"Even with tears streaming down your face, I still see my hard-headed boyfriend who always charges straight into danger without so much as a warning. Haha~! I can't remember a time where I was scared but you somehow encouraged me. You're truly a gift. Hahaha~!"
Inosuke doesn't say anything but the way he tightens his grip on your uniform reassures you that he's listening. And so, a smile graces your lips as you continue to talk and talk and talk.. Talk about his achievements, his goals, even his flaws and what you love about them and, you don't plan on stopping until he's back to his usual self. Even if it takes all day for that to happen.
Kanao Tsuyuri
Kanao is quiet. She's calm and collected and isn't shaken easily. However, ever since she ditched her coin she's become more..vulnerable, more..sensitive to certain things. Her indecisiveness has gotten much better but sometimes things can get overwhelming for her..
"It's okay, baby. Just tell me what's wrong.." You mutter, stroking her hair.
"I.. I don't know. I..can't.." As she shakes and trembles, tears staining her pretty cheeks and her hand desperately gripping your uniform, your eyes soften into a look of fondness and care.
"It's okay to not know. Let's just focus on something else for now.."
And so you did, you stayed with her until she calmed down and then took her out for a walk. She was still a little embarrassed ( maybe even a little flustered ) but she apprieciates you being by her side through all of this.. She truly does..
Nezuko Kamado
Nezuko doesn't cry a lot or at least, ever since she became a demon. She feels emotions like sadness and such but she just never feels the need to cry over things and cause everyone else to worry. However whenever she does cry she usually cuddles up to you.
She'd cry whilst you just hold her with a smile. Even when she stains your uniform with her tears and makes your skin uncomfortably damp, you still comfort her. Patting her head so gently and whipping her tears away occasionally. And even if you're super busy with other stuff you still take the time to cuddle with her until she feels better even if she urges you to do the opposite. She wishes she could thank you for your kindness and love verbally but for now, she'll have to think of a way to repay you later..
Gyomei Himejima
Gyomei crys all the time. It's a normal thing and everyone who is anyone knows about it so when it happens people barely bat an eye. It's also hard to tell whether his tears are caused by something super serious or super simple so it usually goes something like this..
"Come on, Gyo. Tell me what's wrong."
"I'm fine, pebble. Please do not waste time worrying about me when you have other important matters to attend to.."
"On any other occasion I would but, you've been crying nonstop for the past couple hours and I'm starting to worry."
"I promise.. I'm fine."
"No, you aren't and I'm not leaving until you tell me what's bothering you so much." Typical of you to push everything aside for him without even batting an eyelash. You should really work on that.
Gyomei shakes his head, " Now isn't the time for this Y/n. You have to-"
"I know what I have to do, Gyomei but I care about you more!" You say, "No matter how serious it is, nothing will or would deter me from making sure you're alright first because I love you Gyomei and, whether you like it or not I'm staying right here until you feel better."
You're so stubborn he can't help but sigh. Although, He'd be lying if he said your stubbornness isn't one of the things he fell in love with..
"Alright. But as soon as I convince you I'm feeling better you have to leave as soon as possible."
Kanae Kocho
Kanae puts others before herself all the time. She can't help it. It's a habit she can't control. There's probably never a time where she wouldn't put how she feels aside to make the others she cares about happy and it's fine most times but other times end up something like this..
"Kanae. You need to rest. You've been working nonstop for three days now." You say as you watched your girlfriend scribble words on another sheet of paper.
"I'm sorry rose but, I can't. I have to finish this report. Then I have to help out with Kanao's training.. Then there's that thing Shinobu needs help with. Look, even if I'm tired.."
As she trails off you notice her movements shift. The way her body slowly starts trembling and her breath becomes ragged and uneven. The way she drops her pen and grips her uniform in a panic and they way tears violently start streaming down her face and she chokes and sobs.
"Even..if I'm..tired.. And..hungry.."
She can barely speak. She's overwhelmed. She's panicking. She's having a panic attack.
"Kanae." You softly sigh out walking closer to her and pulling her shaking form from the chair she was sitting in and sitting her on her bed.
"I'm sorry." She chokes out. You shake your head.
"You don't need to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong. Just breathe. Breathe in.. Breathe out. Just copy me. Breathe in.. Breathe out.. Breathe in.. Breathe out.. There you go. You're doing great, baby."
After a while of this Kanae eventually calmed down, allowing you to bring her head to your chest and letting the sound of your heartbeat further relax her as she sobbed quietly.
You'll scold her for this later but for now, you should just focus on making sure she's okay..
