Edd's POV
Purple Leader, me, and Jessika all sat in an empty room.
Jessika and I both sat across from Purple Leader.
In front of us was a table, separating Purple Leader from us.
We sat there in awkward silence for a brief moment before Purple Leader begins to speak.
"Jessika, you have Apollo's notebook with you, yes?" Purple Leader asked Jessika.
"Yes sir, and... I've read it, I know who you really are," Jessika said.
Purple Leader gave Jessika a death stare.
"Give me the notebook," Purple Leader demanded.
Jessika stared back at him for a moment before reaching into her jacket and pulling out a notebook.
Jessika then handed Purple Leader the notebook.
Purple Leader looked through the notebook.
His eyes examine the pages.
He flipped through them every other second.
And while he was skimming through the pages he stopped at a certain one.
The page.
The page containing his identity.
Purple Leader then pulled out a black sharpie and scribbled on the page.
He scribbled his name out.
Purple Leader then closed the notebook and handed it back to Jessika.
"I've redacted my name, but that doesn't mean this notebook is useless," Purple Leader said. "I need you both to meet up with a guy, he's a 'friend' of mine."
"Who's that?" Jessika asked.
"His name is Eduardo. This notebook still has information that should be kept somewhere safe, once you give this to Eduardo he'll put it somewhere safe, somewhere Larsson will never reach..." Purple Leader explained.
"He's in the US right now, I'll get you two a flight over there, he's in a city called Detroit in Michigan. However, Detroit is swarmed with Red Soldiers right now, so you two must be careful," Purple Leader explained.
"Edd, I believe you used to know Eduardo? He used to be your neighbor?" Purple Leader asked.
"Oh, that Eduardo?" I asked.
"Yea, Eduardo Garcia, him," Purple Leader said.
"Ugh, I never liked him," I said.
"Well, you'll have to suck it up and give him a visit in a couple of days. Until then, Edd, you may return home, and Jessika will stay here," Purple Leader said.
"Yeah, whatever," I said.
"Okay then, a car will be waiting outside for you, and we'll inform you when you'll leave in a couple of days," Purple Leader said. "Goodbye, for now..."
I got up and left the room, which I assumed was an office.
I left the base and as soon as I stepped outside I noticed the car waiting for me.
I got into the car which Purple Leader said would be waiting for me.
Edd gets back to the apartment
I knocked on the apartment door, waiting for Matt to answer, and let me inside.
But there was no answer.
Matt didn't answer the door.
I knocked again and called out for his name.
But there was still no response...
I decided just to walk in, the door was unlocked anyways.
I opened the door and walked in, the lights were off.
I looked around the apartment and Matt was not there.
It was 2 AM, where is he?
I sat on the bed and tried to call him, but there was no answer.
About 30 minutes had gone by.
I started to get worried.
Really worried...
Until the apartment door opened and Matt walked inside.
"Edd! You're back!" Matt cheered.
Matt took off his jacket and came to hug me.
"Where have you been?" I asked.
"..."
"I just went to the laundromat-"
"MATT!" I snapped.
Matt flinched in fear.
My heart ached for a moment, but only for a moment.
"I'm sorry..." I apologized. "It's just you always use that excuse, and I don't see a bucket of clothes in your hands."
"Please just tell me where you were... I was getting worried..." I said.
Matt looked down at the floor.
"I..." Matt said.
Matt thought for a moment, and he thought hard.
"I can't tell you..." Matt claimed.
"And why not?" I asked.
"..."
"Evil prevails, The Children of the Harvest our coming, and when they do... Armageddon will rage..." Matt said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, clearly confused.
"..."
"I'm going to shower, Edd," Matt said.
"At 2 in the morning?" I asked.
"I need one," Matt said before walking off and getting his clothes.
I lay in bed thinking about how I would tell Matt I would have to leave again.
I hear the shower turn on and the sound of the water fills the silence of the room.
The next day
Tom's POV
I looked.
When Tord was busy.
I looked in the lab.
I was... Confused, by what I saw.
A lot of testing rooms.
A lot of stuff I saw in there that I cannot explain.
And I was going to confront Tord.
I stormed into the room.
"Hey, Tom," Tord said simply as I entered.
"What is in that lab?!" I exclaimed.
"What do you mean?" Tord asked.
"I looked in there, I KNOW what is in there!"
Tord stood up.
"I told you not to go in there!" Tord exclaimed.
"Yersinia pestis? Buboes? Rats!?" I yelled, "What are you doing in there!?"
Tord didn't answer.
"Oh? So that's the fucking game we're playing?" I asked.
"TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE FUCKING DOING WITH THE PLAGUE?!"
"It's not like that!" Tord exclaimed.
"YERSINIA PESTIS! YERSINIA PESTIS FOR JEHOVAH'S SAKE!" I yelled.
"And what do you think I'm doing over there then?" Tord asked, clearly annoyed.
"I don't know! That's why I'm asking YOU!"
"Do you know what an Aerosol Weapon is?" Tord asked.
I shook my head.
Tord pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Do you at least know what a Bio-Weapon is?"
"Mhm"
"The Bubonic Plague has been used in Biological Warfare before, Tom..." Tord said.
"..."
"No..."
"No, you have to be fucking with me," I said.
Tord looked me dead serious in the eyes.
"Y-you're army is weaponizing The Bubonic Plague?..." I asked.
"Mhm,"
"A-and what do you plan to do with it?" I asked.
"The first part ...Of Utopia... Is to purge two-thirds of the entire human race..." Tord said.
I felt chills go down my spine.
"No... No, I can't let you do that..." I said.
"We're still debating whether or not it should or shouldn't be done," Tord said.
"No, I cannot let you go this far... I will DIE before I let you do that," I said firmly.
"Tom?" Tord said.
"What?"
"Look at me," Tord said.
"What do you see when you see me?" Tord asked.
"Uh..."
"I see Tord... My love... Red Leader, I don't know!" I exclaimed.
"No... I meant what do you see when you see... me?"
"..."
"I see the man I fell in love with... The same man who will kill his friends to achieve what he wants, the same man who would let his best man die when it easily could've been avoided, the same man who kills and tortures innocent children..." I ranted.
