Ameera's POV-
It's been a week since Nina and Aiden converted and Alhumdulillah everything was going fine. I was happy for them.
As for Ahmed and I, well we discussed our early marriage decisions with our family and they were all ecstatic. We chose 25th of this month which was in 6 days. We didn't want any grand wedding, just a small one with close family and friends.
We decided to use that money to travel and donate the rest to the ones who are actually in need for it.
The wedding preparation was going smoothly. Today me, mum, Ahmed's mum, Taskeen and Nina decided to choose my wedding dress. I didn't want the traditional red dress. I wanted something white or off white.
After selecting the dress *which I'll not show you guys right now. Wait for the perfect moment* we left the store. Tomorrow is our engagement, then haldi, then mehendi, then niklah and finally walimah.

We went salon for a spa before the engagement functions starts. After getting my skin prepped, we did makeup. I chose a simple outfit. I have seen my parents cry silently as I got ready. It was an emotional day for all of us.
I quickly did quick touch up's along with the girls and my mum. Taskeen was here with me too. Apparently she wanted to be from girls side rather than boys. Something along the line brother being annoying.

The girls made me click a few pictures with my dress and a few with them and my parents.
Around 20 minutes later it was time for the groom side to join us.

I couldn't take my eyes off Ahmed. He was engrossed talking to Aiden.
As if he felt my stare at him, he looked up meeting my gaze. He scanned my outfit up and down and finally locked his gaze with me. I could feel myself turn tomato cause our parents were right here but that didn't seem to stop him. He winks at me. My eyes widen and I glare at him playfully.
We all start gathering for ring exchange.
After exchanging the rings everyone asked us to click few couple pictures.
All the pictures turned out good. Honestly, the halal feelings are on another level.

I couldn't stop smiling. Alhumdulillah the engagement went well. The wait was worth it.
With a smile on my face I went to sleep early as tomorrow we have to prepare for haldi ceremony. Can't wait for all this to get over soon.
