i want to remain the way i was
and fall back rather than fall out
with someone.
that tipsy rustle in my heart :
time knocking on life's door.
earlier today, we sat on a seesaw
me and time, and she was lighter
so i was down to earth.
but as time goes on
she'll get heavier
and i'll be swept off my feet.
what will i do, up in the air, frozen?
old, stagnant, alone?
and when she gets off
i'll crash down and break the earth.
what will i do hiding in the cracks
i broke into being before she finds
me again?
