Beerus's P.O.V.

I happily ate the takoyaki, the flavor continuing to please me even more. I never expected Earth to have food as incredible as this. "You seem to be enjoying yourself, my lord. I'm assuming you're satisfied so far?" Whis asked. I nodded firmly, licking my lips. "Indeed. This planet isn't quite as dull as I had expected." I stated. However I narrowed my eyes, remembering the true reason I came here.

"Although, we still haven't found what we're looking for...."

"Oh? And what might that be?" I glanced up, seeing a young woman walk towards me. She gave me a kind smile, pushing back some of her long hair. "Oh, you. You warned me about the wasabi." I replied. The girl nodded.

"Indeed. I hope that was okay. In any case, if it's alright with you, I'd like to introduce myself." she explained. She gave a little bow before looking back up at me again. "My name is Zira. It's pleasure to meet you. I've been told much about you." she replied. I looked at her curiously, hand on my chin. "Is that right? And just what have you heard exactly?" I asked.

"Only a few things here and there from Prince Vegeta." Zira replied. "Oh really?" I murmured. My eyes started to wander past her, looking at the nervous Saiyan prince behind her. I sure hope he wasn't talking behind my back. I cleared my throat and pointed to him. "You, prince! Make me some more of that takoyaki immediately!" I demanded harshly. Vegeta jumped, but quickly nodded.

"Of course, my lord!" he stated, then he took off to the grill to make more. I smirked, enjoying his nervous state. However Zira frowned, crossing her arms across her chest disapprovingly.

"You know, you could be a little nicer to him. He's already a nervous wreck with just your prescence here." she stated. I froze, giving a quick glare at the woman. What did she just say? Just when does anyone speak to a god like that? "Yes, and that's part of the fun, you foolish girl. If I want to make him squirm, I will. I can do whatever I damn well please....or did Vegeta fail to inform you of this little detail?"

"Oh no, he told me for sure. Even so, you don't have to be so mean." Zira countered. She didn't seem the slightest bit nervous when confronting me. Her boldness was slightly irritating, and I couldn't help but growl a little. "My lady, pardon me, you do realize who you're addressing, correct?" Whis asked. Zira blinked and nodded. "Yes. I was told this is Beerus the destroyer, right? A god of destruction? Although, if it's okay, I don't think I got your name, sir." she replied. Whis blinked in surprise, then smiled.

"Oh, yes, well I am Lord Beerus's servant, Whis. A pleasure to make your acquintance."

"Yeah well, the feeling isn't so mutual for me," I stated harshly, "If you know who I am, then I demand you pay me with respect, understood?" Zira smiled. "I apologize, Lord Beerus. I meant no offense. I only wanted to get to know you, sir." she replied. To my surprise, her words seemed genuine. After hearing I'm a god of destruction, the first thing she wants to do is get to know me? Most mortals are usually filled with terror with my prescence alone, just like Vegeta. But this woman....she's rather fearless. Despite the slight annoyance, I couldn't help but feel intrigued as well.

"Very well, I suppose we can chat a little. Come, let's speak over here, where it's a little more quiet." I replied. Whis and Zira followed me, going to the right of the boat, where there were much less people around. Once the three of us were alone, Zira placed her hands behind her back, head slightly tilted.

"So, back to what you mentioned earlier, why are you and Whis here on Earth? Are you trying to find something?" she asked. "Yes, as a matter of fact, maybe you can help us. We're in search of a warrior called a Super Saiyan God. Tell me, is there anyone here like that?" I asked, leaning against the ship's railing casually. Zira blinked, placing a hand on her chin.

"Huh, I can't say I've seen a warrior like that. I mean, there's a form called Super Saiyan that Goku and Vegeta can take. But I've never heard of a Super Saiyan God." she replied. I groaned, ears folding back. "Great, so we're at a roadblock then...." I muttered. We came all this way, and there was nothing.

"Hmm, there seem to be many half-Saiyans here, but the only pure-blooded ones appear to be Vegeta and that Goku person we met on Kai's world." Whis replied. "Actually, I'm also a pure-blooded Saiyan." Zira replied. Whis and I blinked, looking at her in shock. Another Saiyan?! I thought all the others were eradicated?! "Hold on, if that's true, then why can't I sense your energy? All Saiyans have at least a small power level that can be sensed. And the only beings who can't have their energy sensed are divine deities." I said.

"Oh, yes, that's because of this." Zira replied, referring to the necklace around her neck. The purple gem in the middle shined and glittered brightly, becoming a center of attention. "I got this awhile ago. I believe the gem in the middle is called Angels Rock. They have the ability to hide the prescence of any beings energy." she explained. I looked at the necklace curiously, walking towards her and examining it in my own hands.

"Is that so? I didn't realize such a material existed." I replied. "I had heard stories of it, but it's incredibly rare. You can hardly find it anywhere in the universe." Whis stated. I looked up at Zira, eyes narrowing. "It's rather strange though....why is a Saiyan hiding their power? I had always figured that was the biggest things your race takes pride in."

Zira blinked, seemingly taken aback by my question. Then suddenly her eyes grew dark. The sudden happiness she held just moments ago was drained, and instead she bore a faraway look....as if recalling a bad memory....

Suddenly she pulled the necklace out of my hand, holding the gem close to her chest.

"Well, I'm not a typical Saiyan, in a lot of ways...."

I blinked, caught off guard by such an answer, especially with how she answered in such a saddening tone. Strangely enough, a small twinge of guilt twisted in my heart. Did I offend her somehow....?

"Well, if you don't mind me asking, how did a Saiyan like you come to Earth?" Whis asked, giving a friendly smile. He seemed to catch on her discomfort, so he tried to deteer it with a change of topic. Zira looked at him surprised, but gave a small smile. "It's a bit of a long story. But the short version is that my shuttle struck an asteroid, and I crashed here on Earth. Bulma and her friends agreed to take me in, and so I've stayed ever since. I haven't been here for long though, only a couple of months." she explained.

"Hmm, I see." I replied. I cleared my throat, unsure of what to say now. I didn't want to say anything that would upset her. "If you guys don't mind, can I ask a question?" Zira asked. Whis and I glanced at each other, then to her. "Of course, what's on your mind, dear?" Whis asked.

"Well, you're trying to find this Super Saiyan God, but can't find it here, right? But then....why wouldn't you go to Planet Vegeta and ask the Saiyans there?" I asked.

This questions made Whis and I both freeze, looking to each other in confusion. Was she joking? Planet Vegeta was destroyed years ago by Frieza. Why would she even suggest such an idea? She's not mocking us, is she?

"....Zira, what are you talking about-"

"Sorry for the wait!!" The three of us perked up, seeing Vegeta fly towards us, then getting down on one knee as he showed off a plate of fresh, steaming takoyaki. "A pyramid of takoyaki my grace." he said. The alluring aroma was enough to distract me from what I was gonna ask Zira. "Oh good work." I stated, using a tooth pick to pick up a piece and pop it in my mouth.

"I must say, while we didn't find any a Super Saiyan God, the food here is decent to say the least." Whis stated. "That's true, but I'm starting to get full, and I'm not sure where else to look on this planet. Maybe I'll just go home and take another nap." I said, giving a big yawn. Zira gave a friendly smile. "Have you had a beverage at all, my lord? If you don't, that food won't digest well. Perhaps I'll get us all a beverage." she replied. With that said, she flew towards the party. Once she was out of earshot, I glanced down at the still kneeling Vegeta.

"So, prince." I said. Vegeta snapped his head up. "Yes sir?" he asked.

"That girl, Zira, what do you know about her? Because she just suggested to me that we should continue our search on Planet Vegeta. And yet, I remember that planet being destroyed....care to explain what that's about?" I asked, slight sternness in my tone. Vegeta's eyes widened, seemingly caught off guard. However, then he looked down, a glint of sadness in his eyes.

For a moment, he didn't speak. But he eventually let out a sigh.

"....well, from what she's told us, for the past 30 years she's been in a frozen coma in some space station, before Planet Vegeta was destroyed. She only awoke from that slumber a little over 2 months ago, right before she came to Earth. It would appear....she has no idea it was destroyed." Vegeta explained. Again, Whis and I both looked at him in shock, each dropping a piece of our takoyaki.

"What? I don't understand. If that's the case....you didn't tell her about it?" Whis asked. Vegeta clenched his teeth, gripping the platter even tighter.

"....we were going to. But, the way she speaks of Planet Vegeta....it's as if it's the only thing she has left to live for. We're worried that if we told her....she would be crushed."

I was all sorts of confused. Why would they stray her along like that?! That's only going to keep her hopes up for who knows how long! And once she realizes she was lied to, she'll be even more upset than ever before! How could they think to keep something as important as this a secret?!

"Don't you realize how foolish that is-" I was caught off guard by a sudden splash of water in my face. Whis blinked in surprise while Vegeta gasped, wearing a terrified expression. All current thoughts were erased as I glared up at the culprits....seeing the two half-Saiyan brats look at me in fear.
