The thirty minutes walk shorten to half and the three hours drive shorten to nearly two hours drive, if that's even possible but it still happened they already informed everyone so they were there already when they reached and when they wheeled Darcel in, it made Celeste almost lost her consciousness seeing her son in that state the same with the others while Layla engulfed Sean crying.
"tha-that's not my son" Celeste said looking at her husband with tear stained face
"tell me this is just a joke" Celeste said Daemon can't even utter a word even he felt his soul left his body seeing one of his child like that
"my child" Celeste fell to her knees Daeven went and hug his mother while Danica went to her father's embrace as the four of them cried
The others watch them silently praying
"nothing will happened to Darcel ge right?" Stanley asked trembling
"no, Nathan ge will save him" Lance said tightening his hold in Stanley's hand
Nathan came running out of the room making everyone look at him
"Darcel lost too much blood our stock of his blood type isn't enough" he informed them quickly Celeste looked up
"I have the same blood type as him" Celeste said
"but your blood related, it's dangerous" Nathan answered
"no, I've already once donated my blood for him when he was still child nothing happened" Celeste answered determined but Nathan still seemed reluctant
Darcel's blood was indeed rare that's one reason they never wanted him to be wounded if possible but him being in the mafia and on top of that the boss it's not possible that's why they are all sensitive when it comes to him
"please let me save my son" Celeste begged and Nathan can only sigh before he agreed
Four hours in the operation room, Darcel flat lined at least two times which scared Nathan to the core but he needed to continue his work or Darcel will flatline forever 'please hold on, don't leave us yet' Nathan silently prayed 'your mother's alive please hold on you have to meet her' fixing Darcel's broken bones should be easy but with the amount of broken bones, internal bleeding especially in his head is making it complicated making Nathan more afraid and hesitant but he just can't give up
"it's been 8 hours" Celeste said she's advice to rest yet she refused
The others fell asleep in the bench due to tiredness and right now only the Ashfords are awake as they can't even sleep from the worry they are feeling, Sean who refused to speak and only cried finally fell asleep as well beside his mother
"he'll be fine" Daemon assured her though it was only his wishful thinking but he didn't really care
"ge will be fine mom, his strong ad stubborn remember" Daeven tried to lift everyone's mood even he himself is starting to feel scared
"that's right, he's that type of person to never give up" Danica smiled
"and he won't leave like that, he knows Sean is waiting" she added looking at the sleeping Sean
"and Nathan ge won't let him just go yet" Daeven also smiled making their parent look at them with a small smile
"besides he still needs to meet you" Daemon added making Celeste nod her head finally relaxing a little
It took 18 long painful agonizing hours until Nathan came out of the operation room by that time everyone was awake, Nathan looks so tired
"how's my son?" Celeste was first to run to him
"good news is that his stable and bad news is that he is in coma" Nathan said looking down
Though the last information was indeed a bad news but everyone was still relived that Darcel was alive
"he lost too much blood, his brain lost oxygen supply plus the internal bleeding in his head making it worst, I'm not sure when he'll wake up" Nathan said a tear escaped his eyes
"he'll wake up son, we just have to believe" Daemon tap his shoulders lightly
"thank you for saving him" he added with a weak smile
"now that we know how's Darcel I think everyone should go home and take a rest all of you just look like sh*t right now" Daemon jokingly said to everyone who nodded their heads
"you too" he said referring to Nathan
Sean refused to leave but Daeven forced him to, they understand Sean but he also needs rest and his mental wasn't that great, later or sooner if they let him do whatever he wanted he'll collapse
"just rest mom and dad is there" Daeven said pushing him in a room where is Darcel's room and his
"I can't" Sean said again crying
"Sean" Daeven sighed pulling him into a hug
"Darcel ge will just be fine" Shawn said
"it's all my fault if I called for help earlier then he shouldn't be in that condition" Sean voiced out his self-blame
"you did everything you could didn't you, that's enough" his mother said she was sitting in the bed
"no" Sean shook his head
"I was the one who hurt him" Sean
"what do you mean?" ask Maison
"I decided to play along with Catherine to save him but--" Sean pulled away and stepped back
"I-I hurt him more that way" Sean said looking down
"I was the one who put him in this situation" Sean collapse on his feet Shawn was the one who went beside him and pulled him in a hug
"no and I know Darcel know your intentions" he said
"no, he hated me" Sean whispered
"he won't" Shawn said sternly
"I'm so sorry" Sean again apologized everyone just stayed silent as they let Sean cry his heart out
Three months passed tormenting slow for everyone, everyday they woke up anticipating to see someone open his eyes and greet them finally with his smile or even with his cold face, praying every night before they close their eyes to sleep to see it and mostly they go to bed with tears in their eyes. Everything went back to normal for everyone, students go to school as usual as the others go to their works, Aces of Chaos decides to dissolve two months after that incident. Daemon concentrated with their, again, growing company with Celeste helping him, Layla continued her work with Celeste also visiting her regularly both started to hang out again whenever they have time. Sean finally learned her mother's connection to the Ashfords. Alaric was never found.
"baby how are you today?" Sean sat down on the chair beside the bed
Everyday after class he spends his time there until he needs to go home and in weekends he also stays with him
"aren't you tired of sleeping yet?" Sean smiled weakly caressing Darcel's cheeks
"haven't you get enough rest yet?" a tear escaped his eyes which he immediately wiped away
"I'm sorry I promised to not cry yet every time I see you like this I just can't stop my tears" Sean buried his face on the bed while he hold Darcel's cold hands
"I miss your warmth Darcel please wake up" Sean cried
Outside the room was Nathan listening at him, he sighed as he walked away 'when do you plan to wake up Darcel?' he also asked himself sadly.
"Lance when do you think ge will wake up?" Stanley asked both cuddled in bed
"I also don't know babe" Lance replied
"I miss him" Stanley
"me too" Lance kissed his forehead
"everyone missed him" he added and both drifted to sleep after that
Five months, nothing changed. Everyday they tried to live their lives to the fullest yet a big part of them is still missing, everyday they felt losing hope yet just the thought of losing Darcel was more tormenting for them.
"kill me"
"no please" Sean begged
"let me go"
"I can't" Sean dropped on his knees
"find another, let me go"
"no no no" Sean shake his head furiously
"I'm not good for you Sean, you'll just be in danger with me"
"I don't care I want you Darcel no one else" Sean runs to him but the more he runs the more distance between them increase
"NO DARCEL!" Sean woke up panting while sweating
"just a dream" he whispered as he wiped his tears and went to his bathroom to prepare for the day
He constantly had nightmare similar to what he just had this past months, all dreams was Darcel bidding him goodbye or asking him to kill him or that they were back to that house and he'll find him dead in that very room. It actually scares him that sometimes he choose not to sleep, afraid of seeing those dreams again but his mother talked to him and always monitors him now and then to make sure he sleeps. As usual after his class he went to visit Darcel again, he saw Daeven and Danica already there
"Sean you're here" Danica smiled at him
"how is he?" ask Sean closing the door
"as usual" Daeven said looking away
"I see" Sean whispered
"hey lil bro did you know mom was the one designing for the renovations of our old house?" Danica said cheerfully
"she always said she wanted it to be built the way you like so when you finally decides to stop being a lazy ass sh*t sleeping here you'll be happy" she chuckled though her voice broke
"she's really exited to talk to you, you see, so how long are you planning to make her wait?" she covered her face Daeven stood there still looking away as even he was crying
"I miss you so much brother, when will you wake up?" she couldn't take it anymore she run out of the room
"jie" Daeven called out
"were going ahead" Daeven tap Sean's shoulder before he run out of the room to catch up with his sister
"baby please wake up" Sean begged as he himself was on his knees now crying
