It came as quite a shock to Hyun-jae when she was suddenly asked to be friends with Sae-bom. Honestly though, she didn't mind though she was never one to follow the script. So it shouldn't really matter at the moment after all one thing she learned is that nothing is ever set in stone so even if she is here, it doesn't matter in the future because she is just another person living their life.

Time went by after Hyun-jae's realisation and the first thing she thought of doing is learning how to fight, so she asked her father for help but it turns out she was already a student of his which honestly was super convienient for her.

"Hang on a second why am I in such a rush, it's not like it's going to happen anytime soon. I can just gradually prepare myself." She muttered as she slapped her forehead.

So with that in mind she took it easy, she studied diligently to be a good student, trained with her father regularly so as to not lose her touch in the arts of tae-kwon do and hung out with her friend Yoon Sae-bom.

And if she's being honest she is enjoying life, she has both parents in her life. She felt like her life no longer needed to be on hard mode, at least for now.

It was just about to be the end of class but the lesson was interupted by sirens. Confused, she looked out the window and saw Jung Yi-hyun sitting on a the edge of the roof.

"Drama Queen." She grumbled as seeing the lesson wouldn't be going anywhere, she put in her earphones in and took out a novel to read as time passed. Sure she might be a little insensitive the boy did lose his chance at making it big in baseball but bare in mind that the girl went through a major paradigm shift that she had to nurse for quite a while before she accepted that she lived, she died and she lives again.

"Hey."

Hyun-jae felt someone nudge her shoulder and she looked up to see Yoon Sae-bom standing next to her.

"Can I help you?" She asked with raised brow.

"Come with me." She said and grabbed her arm.

"Hey!" Hyun-jae yelped as Sae-bom practically dragging her out of the classroom.

"Where are we going?!" Hyun-jae exclaimed as she was being lead somewhere.

"I'm taking you so you can talk to that idiot so we can all go home." Sae-bom said.

"What?!" Hyun-jae yelped.

They made their way up the stairs where they walked passed the surrounding officers.

"We're his friends. We were told to come up so we can help negotiate with him." Sae-bom lied so smoothly.

"Don't listen to her she's cra--"

"Please excuse her she's just shy."

Hyun-jae smacked Sae-bom's hand off her mouth and walked beside her.

"Why me?" She asked.

"Because you punched him." Sae-bom said as she picked up a chair.

"That's a weird reason. Why would you get someone who punched him to get him out of suicide...or at least bordeling excessive attention seeking. " Hyun-jae mumbled causing Sae-bom to roll her eyes.

"Just do it." She said nudging her.

"No!" Hyun-jae exclaimed.

"Just get up there!" Sae-bom nudged harshly making Hyun-jae glare before she sighed.

"...fine...but if he falls I blame you." She muttered and climbed on the chair and onto the edge.

"Hey, young lady, wait! Wait! Who are you? Are you is girlfriend?" The officer asked.

"Do you want to die?" She glared harshly at the officer before she made her way towards the boy.

"Hey, I've been told we can't go home because of you!" She said as she walked towards Yi-hyun

"What's wrong with the students at this school?" The officer grumbled.

"Don't worry mister, she'll persuade him, so wait a moment." Sae-bom shrugged as she sat on the chair and waited.

"Are you upset you can't play baseball?" Hyun-jae asked as she sat next to him.

"That's not what it is. I just came here because I was frustrated, but ambulances and police officers suddenly arrived. Which idiot made a report? I'm just waiting to see how far this will go. I have nothing to do anyway." He sighed.

"You make it sound like baseball is the only thing you've ever considered doing with your life." She said.

"Well what do you except. I did it my entire life. I was really good at it too. And I ended up like this. Would you be okay if you were me?" He asked.

"Hmm? I wouldn't know because I've done enough to know who I am and that I'm capable of more." She shrugged.

"Hey, at least you've done something." He said.

"But you know, I've been hospitalized for a while after I got into an accident had to be held back a year not that it matters because I skipped a grade when I was younger."

"Overachiever." He scoffed and she rolled her eyes.

"Call it what you will, but it doesn't change the fact I almost forgot who I was, who I am, what I wanted in life, my hopes, my dreams, I almost lost it all. But I overcame it and got my memories back and now all I can do is move forward. " She said.

"I can't play baseball ever again, I can't get that back. My life is over. I don't know what to do with my life." He complained but he stopped seeing her calmly looking out to the horizon.

"What about you, then? What are you going to do?" He asked.

"Honestly, I'm not sure. At first I thought being a scientist buf it feels like I'll be sitting at a desk all day checking out bacteria and stuff, but nowadays I find myself wanting to work in the medical industry but I have no idea where I'm gonna go and no matter what I choose I wonder if I'll be happy about it...it's all really frustrating honestly." She nibbled at her teeth showing her obvious displeasure at her indecisiveness.

"See? Even you're feeling unsettled too." He mused.

"Not really, no. I'm like this because I know that my future is limitless and same goes for other people, even you. Just do whatever it is you need to do and walk the path you want to lead in life because lord knows how short life can be." She smiled and she got up and held out her hand dor him. He stared at her hand and he scoffed but he took it and stood up.

"There, that wasn't so bad was it?" She smirked.

"Are you two finished, great!"

The two felt themselves being pushed over the edge.

"Wait no--Oh shit!" Hyun-jae yelled as she gripped onto Yi-hyun for dear life and screaming as they fell towards the cushion.

The thing deflated slowly on impact and the paramedics came in for them both.

"That bitch!" Hyun-jae exclaimed aggravated and annoyed at the audacity of Sae-bom as she got off the boy and stomped out and off of the cushion but paramedics stopped her and against her will checked her for injuries.

They bell rang letting all the students out and Hyun-jae noticed Sae-bom being handcuffed and taken by the officer.

"Park Hyun-jae! Tell him that you don't want me to get punished. He's going to arrest me." Sae-bom said as she rushed towards her.

"But I do want you to get punished." She said and Sae-bom gasped.

"You pushed me off the roof." She said flatly.

"That was just--I was just--"

"Come on young lady, you've got a lot of questions to answer for." The officer said as he grasped Sae-bom's arm.

"Hey officer!" Hyun-jae called and Sae-bom looked hopeful.

"What?"

"Let her off with a small warning. I don't feel comfortable sending someone to jail." She said and Sae-bom frowned and Hyun-jae stuck out her tongue at her.

"You little--"

"Come on." The officer said leading her off.

"Bye-Bye!" Hyun-jae smirked with pride, storyline be damned if you're gonna do something to her expect to her to get some payback. She is petty that way.

"Hey, Hyun-jae."

"What do you want?" She sighed as she turned to face Yi-hyun who called her.

"Do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asked.

"No." She said flatly.

"Why not?" He asked.

"Because you haven't even courted me. You expect me to like you all of a sudden just because you asked, life doesn't work that way." She scoffed and walked away from him.

Years passed at least 12 years and during that time a lot happened. For instance their odd friend group of three added one new member Kang Dae-seong. He came to join through Sae-bom as they met in a tiny prison cell at the police station, it was just a plus that he went to the same school as them a real delinquent who somewhat changed from hanging around them for so long.

Hyun-jae gave up and relented to the fact that she's entangled with the main characters whether she likes it or not. Yi-hyun took her words to heart and started courting her, wanting to know her and flirting with her at every opportunity.

And annoyingly enough Yi-hyun managed to worm his way into her heart and he really knew how to make her feel special in all kinds of ways that it made it hard for her to see herself in a place without him and it aggravated her. She really did try to resist him, avoid him, tell him off but he was annoyingly persistant and never gave up.

Which was not only annoying but it was also endearing that it would make her blush as she became self-conscious about him he was happy to see his hard work paid of against her because she really knew how to be difficult and wasn't long before they started dating.

When they all graduated Hyun-jae decided to study Medicine and Biology. She couldn't let go of her past so she chose Medicine which she had already been studying and for her new life she partnered with Biology.

She couldn't help but feel thankful for her past self because it saved her some major study time and she used it to spend time with the people she loved and cared about.

They all grew up to be outstanding people in their own fields one achieved great results in medicine, the other solved crimes and put bad people off the street and off the streets and another became a protector of her country against terrorists and another in the court room putting away the bad guys for a very long time.

She didn't mind deviating from the plot in terms of relationships because she valued them whether they were meant to be or not, maybe it's just the free spirit she found herself to be after spending time with them.

One day she got quite the shock whe she was out on a date with Yi-hyun. They were taking a walk after dinner and he brought her to an open park with a beautiful fountain, this place was a usual for couples to walk through.

"Hey, Hyun-jae."

"What?"

"Let's get married."

She nearly choked on her coffee when he asked the question.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Where's the ring?" She asked and he brought the box in front of her.

"Y-you're not on one knee." She stated and he kneeled and the fountain came to life in that exact moment which startled her because it was conveniently romantic.

"Y-You're not--"

"Yah, just hurry up and say yes." He sighed.

"Why aren't you asking me more romatically like in the movies?" She asked.

"That's not your style. I've heard you complain so many times when we watch movies about how cringy it is to propose with extravagance, and that a man should just ask, so I'm asking? But the fountain was a total coincidence." He said.

"Are...are you sure?" She asked hesitantly.

"I'm sure....There's no one else I'd rather be in this world than with you. So can you please give me an answer I'm kinda embarrased kneeling in front of all these people." He said and she looked around to see a lot of people are staring.

"Fine, fine geez. Get up...geez." She giggled.

"Thank you." He said as he put the ring on her finger and got up to get a big smooch from her lips which earned them a round of applause which made her blush as she hid his chest.

Hyun-jae was happy with his proposal, although it was unexpected it was very much welcome, but she couldn't help but wonder what encouraged him to take the leap like that.

"It was me, I was tired of listening to your parents trying to rope me into plotting a scheme of marriage between the two of you." Sae-bom huffed.

"Aish, those guys." Hyun-jae sighed and she glared at her food.

Their families were happy that they were engaged so young but gave in because they all saw it coming. Although no one could miss the exchange if money from their mothers and Sae-bom.

The wedding went off without a hitch and now they live happily together in their own place of which Sae-bom and Dae-seong often comes over to lay about on their couch.

"So when are you gonna give me grandbabies?" Her mother asked.

"They'd be so adorable, especially if they have Bunny's genes." Dae-seong teased as he pinched her cheeks earning a glare and a smack.

"Mom, Dae-seong!" Hyun-jae exclaimed in embarrassment.

"We hope to see them very soon in the future." Yi-hyun nodded.

"Don't encourage this!" She exclaimed with a blush.

Life was so good that Hyun-jae almost forgot about the Mad Human Virus, almost.

Morning broke through the curtains and Hyun-jae groaned when she was woken up from her sleep from her alarm clock.

She rubbed her eyes and got up and as she was about to make her way out of bed she was stopped by a big arm wrapping around her waist.

"Yah, let go of me so I can get to work." She grumbled.

"No, stay in bed with me....weren't you supposed to have a day off from work, can't you spend the day with me." Yi-hyun mumbled in his sleep.

"I wish I could but I promised Sae-bom that I'd help her with teaching the knew recruits on how to save their injured comrades in battle." She said but he pulled her back making her yelp and he was quick to pin her to the bed.

"Get off of me." She grumbled.

"No, if I do you'll run away like a bunny then I can't catch you." He smirked and she glared but it didn't do anything to hide her blush and she tried to get out of his grasp.

"Stop trying to escape it makes me feel like I'm bullying you." He sighed

"Because you a--"

Her words were caught in her throat as he molded their lips together and she felt annoyed that she's getting caught up in his flow but at the same time she couldn't help it but to let herself get caught up in the current. Their lips moved in sync and she started feeling a little aroused from his delicate touch that seemed to set her skin on fire.

"I should've never told you to court me." She grumbled.

"It's too late to regret that now, since you married me. You're tied to me for life, so let me get my time before you have to leave." He whined and to give permission, she kissed him, passionately and let their love and desire for one another consume them for a couple more hours.

"Your such an animal." She muttered as she has her head laying comfortably on his bare chest as he combed through her black locks with his fingers and it brought her extreme comfort.

"Am I?" He questioned curiously.

"Yes, you are. Now if you'll excuse me, you've already wasted my valuable time to get ready." She said as she got up only to be pulled back.

"Don't go, haven't I done a good job trying to convince you to stay with me?" He whined.

"You better let go of me because I know that I'm not the only one who's supposed to be busy, aren't you playing a game today with your team, get up!" She insisted as she punched his side making him yelp.

"That hurts, aish I thought I married a doctor not a ruffian." He mumbled as he rolled off of her.

"Don't be such a baby and get up." She said as she strolled out of their room and to their bathroom and she gasped when she noticed the bruises on her neck.

"Yah! Yi-hyun you animal!" She screamed and ran out of the bathroom to get him but all she got was laughter as he avoided her with ease.

Hyun-jae drove to the training grounds but she had to make a quick stop at a local convenient store for some food, she didn't any thing as she was in a panic at choosing clothes and using make-up to hide all of Yi-hyun's love bites.

"That jerk, I'm going to get him back for this." She grumbled as she stuffed her cheeks with food.

She drove to the the entrance and they let her in after she showed them her pass.

"Hyun-jae!"

She yelped in surprise when she got enveloped by a big hug from her best friends Sae-bom.

"You're heavy with all that armour on, let go of me " She whined as she shoved her friend off of her.

"That's so mean even though we haven't seen each other in a while." Sae-bom pouted and squeezed her again.

"Aish!" Hyun-jae whined.

"I'm surprised Yi-hyun didn't try harder to make you stay with him all day, doing who knows what even." She teased making her friend blush and get all flustered.

"Le-Let go of me!" Hyun-jae exclaimed.

"So he did try, I never took you as such a lady, Hyun-jae."

"No!"

"Sae-bom stop abusing the only volunteer doctore who can put up with you!"

Sae-bom glared at her commading officer, Lee Seung-young as he interupted her reunion with her friend.

"Back off!" Sae-bom growled.

"Commander Seung-young, it's good to see you again." Hyun-jae smiled as she took out her hand from under Sae-bom's tight grasp to shake hands.

"It's good to see you too, in fact it's a relief to see you, the doctor who was supposed to be helping quit last minute due to some unforseen issues." He said.

"Oh, you don't say." She hummed and they gave Sae-bom a pointed look.

"Aish this is why I hate it when you two are together you always bully me, I'm going to report you." Sae-bom huffed and stormed away and they laughed as they followed after her.

She was lead to her locker and she changed her jacket into a lab coat provided she was about to close it, but she stilled for a moment and searched her bag to make sure of one thing, her gun. It's not filled with bullets because it will not work on the infected but they said tranquilizers will work on them and thankfully being in the medical industry she managed to make some friends/connections who were willing to help her make these tranquiliser bullets.

"Nervous?" She asked the trainee Lee Jong-tae as she chomped on a carrot stick that she had brought from the store on her way here.

"A little." He smiled sheepishly  as he drank the water with gusto which caught her eye she wanted to beat him up for being the one to bring out the drug, but karma already has that covered anyway.

"Don't be it's only training...for now at least." She smirked.

"Please don't say that." He whined letting the nerves get to him.

"I'm just telling you the truth. Once you get on the battlefield it'll be much worse, the pressure will be on you to get your men to at least standard health in a short amout of time in the most crucial of areas, so I'd get used to it as soon as possible if I were you or else it'll get ugly." She advised while chomping on the last of her carrot sticks.

The door burst open and Sae-bom came in with an 'injured' Seung-young.

"Salute!"

"Clear the table trainee!" Hyun-jae exclained and he rushed towards a table and knocked off everything so that Sae-bom could lay him down.

"Don't just stand there, treat him! Time is off the essence when treating a patient in critical condition!" She exclaimed.

"This brat is slow!" Sae-bom hissed quietly as the Lee Jong-tae brought the table with medical equipment.

"What are his injuries?" He asked.

"He got shot in the chest, and he can't breathe." She said.

Jong-tae removed the gear and used his stethoscope to find out what has happened internally.

"It's a pneumothrax. The air's leaking from the hole in his--"

"Less talking more saving his life trainee!" Hyun-jae yelled and he nodded and went over to to grab what he needed.

"Aish!" Sae-bom hissed.

"Shh!" Hyun-jae shushed her and her friend rolled her eyes. "What are you waiting for?" She asked as he hesitated.

"Do I really do it?" He asked.

"Don't think. Just do as you learned." Sae-bom said flatly.

"And you better hurry coz he's gonna die soon." Hyun-jae shrugged as she looked out the window while eating her carrots and she whined when she realised that she ate the last one.

Jong-tae jabbed Seung-young and he spasmed indicating that he's was having a seizure.

"Instructor! Instructor!" He yelped in panic and commenced performing CPR.

"Oh my god." Hyun-jae muttered in english as she swatched this boy fail dismally.

"You're going to break by ribs, you jerk." Seung-young said as he gripped the boy's wrist making him yelp.

"Instructor." Jong-tae said looking shocked but relieved. Seung-young took of his jacket and Hyun-jae examined him and she whistled seeing the damage.

"He really went for your clavicle." She said and took the tablet that Sae-bom handed to her.

"You idiot." Seung-young hissed.

"Trainee Lee Jong-tae, you killed your teammate. Your indecisiveness and need for confirmation from a higher ranking officer not only wasted time but also the fact that your lack of knowledge concerning the correct procedure has earned you a deduction on you TMP course." Hyun-jae said as she tapped away and entered his result earned by her evaluation and it honestly was not a good one.

"You're acting was great today." Sae-bom said.

"Did I do great?" Seung-young questioned.

"Yes." She said.

"Although, the little seizure stunt was a little overkill." Hyun-jae said.

"Seriously?" He whined.

But then a pair of trainees slipped in front of them and Sae-bom caught them.

"Wear your gloves, or you'll slip." She warned and they made their way out.

"Bye. Are you really deducting points?" Seung-young asked.

"Yes. I'm sure you heard what I said in there?" Hyun-jae questioned.

"Honestly I couldn't have said it better myself. He was slow in making judgments, and he's cowardly." Sae-bom agreed.

"Based on your standards, everyone is the world is slow, Sae-bom." He said and Hyun-jae giggled as she remembered the first time she and Sae-bom worked together as trainees under their commander and professor.

"Those were the days." Hyun-jae giggled.

"Stop it, it's embarrasing." Sae-bom whined.

○●○●○●○

They were now in the cafeteria lined up for a while before they'd have to train a new batch of trainees

"How much are you planning to eat? Geez you eat too much!" Seung-young gasped as he looked at their pile of food.

"Shut up. When in medical school you learn that everyday you gotta stuff your face or else you'll pass out from the exhaustion." She argued. "Remembering those days I'm grateful of how I quit nursing to do this. Um, could you give me one more?" Sae-bom asked the lunchman and he tapped a sign that clearly showed that she couldn't and she moved on disapointedly.

They sat together at the table and Hyun-jae got right into eating and she moaned with relief as she took her first bite.

"Aish, slow down." Sae-bom gasped and Hyun-jae froze with stuffed cheeks which made her coo at her friend.

"I see why you guys call her bunny." Seung-young smirked.

"You see, it's because she stuffs her cheeks like one!" Sae-bom smiled.

"Shut up." Hyun-jae grumbled making them laugh.

"By the way, why are you eating so much, did you do physical labour?" Seung-young asked.

"Because I'm upset, so don't say anything." Sae-bom replied.

"Here." He said giving her his piece of pork and she smiled but she felt an intense stare coming from her left and met eyes with Hyun-jae.

"Aish! Fine I'll share with you." She huffed which made her smile. Sae-bom then got a notification on her phone and she took it out.

"What is it?" Hyun-jae asked.

"They're developing the National Police Agency's old location." She replied.

"They're building apartments." Seung-young said.

"Three police officers' households will get special provisions for that." She said.

"What are the conditions?" Hyun-jae asked.

"Do tell. My wife's dream is to move into that new apartment." Seung-young said.

"They give extra points for long-term service, the biggest chunks come from arrest records and work evaluations. Once I'm chosen, I'll get an apartment for sure." Sae-bom sighed.

Hyun-jae could only eat her her food on silence she tried to convince Sae-bom to invest in other methods of getting a house. She just wanted to protect her friend, but when she told her the reason why she's invested in the apartments, it silenced her.

But now that she's married to Yi-hyun she wonders how everything will play out now so many things have changed so she can't help but also wonder how they're going to survive the mini apocalypse.

Her thoughts were interupted when her phone rang and she dug through her pockets and took it outm

Caller ID:
(I Am) The Bunny Lifsaver

"That little!" She grumbled when she saw that he changed his caller ID on her phone, again.

"Is that Yi-hyun?" Sae-bom asked.

"Yes. That jerk got to my phone again...hello?" She replied.

"Hi honey Bunny! How's my baby doing?!" Yi-hyun greeted with enthusiasm that it silenced her.

She made her way to hang up.

"Wait, don't hang up!" He yelled.

"What do you want?" She asked.

"I just wanted to hear the voice of my darling wife. Is that so wrong?" He asked.

"I...I guess it's not." She muttered.

"Is Sae-bom with you?" He asked.

"Yeah." She said.

"Can you give her the--"

"Yah! Yi-hyun why can't I have day with Hyun-jae you're so stingy!" Sae-bom complained.

"What do you mean stingy?! I have every right  to call and talk to my wife, you punk!" Yi-hyun yelled.

"Yah!"

Hyun-jae sighed in embarrassment as she tucked her head in her arms.

"Is it always like this?" Seung-young asked and  she peaked her eye out and nodded.

"That must be tough." He sympathized.

"You have no idea." She sighed.

"Aish I'm not even calling to argue with you, Sae-bom your unit was mention during an investigation." Yi-hyun said which surprised her.
