Carapace. I understand why he didn't show up that night now. His great uncle died and he had to attend the Funeral. Losing a family member is hard.
So I'm no longer mad at him, or in love with him. It would be too dangerous. Because one day I'll need to know who he is, and if I get Akumatized, I'll be putting him in danger.
I can't put him in danger. I don't want to put anyone I care about in danger. Like my parents, my sisters, my best friends, Chloe and Marinette, my guy best friends, Adrien, Luka and.... Nino.
He's the one I don't want to let down the most. I care about him so much... I believe it's making me fall in love with him.. I don't want to admit it, but I think I've fallen in love with Nino..
He's just so kind and thoughtful, I was in love once before, I don't want to ruin it this time. I just really hope he doesn't fall in love with me as Rena.
He'll have to go through what I went through with Carapace, it being too dangerous. I wish I accepted him when he confessed to me.. I didn't. Because I was blinded by my love for Carapace.
If I'm going to remain a Superhero, being in love will have to be the last thing on my mind. So I can't... No, I won't say I'm in love, I can't be in love, not until Hawk Moth is gone.
Beating him has to be on the top of my mind. It will be the first thing on my mind... It is the only thing on my mind.

"Alya!" I turned around and saw Nino heading my way. He stopped when he was in front of me. "Can I talk to you?" He looked nervous. "Sure." I said. He looked around then took my hand. "Not here, needs to be somewhere private." He didn't say anything after that until we were hidden in an ally.
He sighed. "So I kept thinking about what happened yesterday." Is he taking about when Mari asked Adrien when he was going to tell Luka about his crush on him?
"It was clear Luka was gay, he told us, but Adrien? I wish he had just told me. I don't want to keep secrets between us." He was avoiding eye contact.
"Adrien never told any of us he was gay. Well, not directly, Marinette told me and Chloe that when she asked him what he hoped for in his soulmate, his description sounded so much like Luka so we just figured it out on our own." Nino looked up.
"I'm glad I found out. But Luka is dating a Superhero. He knows the risks right? It way too dangerous..." He quickly looked at me.
"Sorry, I know how you feel about Carapace..." I put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, the two of us worked it out and he agreed that it was too dangerous, I never expected to get over him so fast." Am I over him though..?
"I know how you feel, I was rescued by Rena Rouge one day and I just couldn't help falling for her, but I came to my senses about the risks, dating a Superhero is too dangerous, at least until Hawk Moth is defeated. I hadn't liked her long so it was easy to get over." He fell for Rena... That's not good.
"I don't want to ruin Luka's love life, but I don't want him to be in danger because his boyfriend is Chat Noir. The last thing I want is to break them up, I just want him to be careful, and let Chat Noir and his team take down Hawk Moth so they can be together danger free." Wow. I actually wouldn't mind being with Nino, he's amazing.
He was quiet. "Well, that's it.." Would I be too forward if I kissed his cheek? Not his lips, his cheek. Like I did when we had dinner together. Would he freak out? I don't want him to freak out.
"Hey Alya.." I turned to him and his face was red. "Do you... Uhm... Do you want to go on a real date with me?" He's asking me out. Since our first "date" was as friends, this one will be real.
"Yes, I'd like that." He smiled. I walked closer to him and leaned forward, kissing his cheek. "I'll see you at six.." I whispered and walked away.
My heart was beating so fast, I'm going on a date with Nino. The girls are going to freak out. I made my way back to School and met up with Chloe and Marinette.
"Alya!" Mari waved at me. She eyed me up and down suspiciously. "Did something happen?" Might as well tell them. Chloe looked at me. "Nino asked me out on a date." The two of them had their mouths open and looked at eachother.
Chloe's face brightened, her face looked so happy. "Yes! Finally! Girl, we must get you the perfect outfit!" Marinette cheered, Chloe joining her.
The two of them cheered for what seemed like forever but eventually stopped when they spotted Nino walking in the School with Adrien and Luka.
"I wish we could go on a triple date but two out of three of those boys are gay and one of them already has a boyfriend." Mari says.
Chloe stays silent, it's like she's hiding something. "Actually, it can be a double date, but I don't want to interfere so I won't go." I looked at her, Marinette did the same.
"What?" Chloe sighed. "I kind of have a, I don't know, fake boyfriend? We made this deal. He's Mr. Lamberts son, Miles, you see, he asked me and Luka if we were single, Luka said he was taken, Miles hinted, and I said I would date him when pigs flew... And well... Pigs did fly. In fact they were his pigs from his family's farm." She paused to take a breath.
"He said we would pretend to date, if we fell for eachother within the month we'd date for real, if not he would find someone else." Chloe bit her lip. I gaped at her.
That happened just yesterday so I can't get mad at her for not telling us. I smiled and gave Chloe a hug, Marinette did the same. "Can we meet him?" Chloe laughed. She nodded. "Sure." The three of us walked until we were in Mr. Lamberts Math class.
He was at his desk, probably grading papers. Chloe knocked on the door. He looked up. "Hey Chloe, is there something I can do for you?" Chloe blushed. "Do you know where Miles is?" She asked.
"He took Penelope to her School, he should be back soon though." Chloe smiled. "Thanks." We left. "Penny is Miles' little sister. I met her yesterday, shes such a sweet kid." Chloe told us.
We went back to the open area and waited until the bell rung. "There he is.." Chloe said softly. Miles was tall and handsome. I wasn't so sure Chloe can not fall for him, if she does, he better not be an ass.
He saw us and ran over. "Hi Chloe." He greeted her then looked as us. "These your friends?" Duh, genius. "This is Alya, and that's Marinette." Chloe introduced us.
"Hey, I'm Miles, Chloe's...." He paused. "They know you're my fake boyfriend." She tells him. "I'm sure one day I'll be your real boyfriend." He smirks. Chloe playfully shoved him.
"In your dreams." In this City, he will dream that Chloe's his real girlfriend. "That might just come true, considering pigs flew.." Chloe sighed. "Around here, I shouldn't have been surprised. Hawk Moth will do anything to get his hands on these jewels that belong to the Superheroes. Their Miraculous." Miles nodded.
"Yeah, I know. I grew up here so I know when the Heroes first showed up and about Hawk Moth and that he turns people into Supervillains when they have negative emotions." Uh, who doesn't know about them? Maybe people who don't live here or have never seen the News.
The bell finally rang. "We have to go, see you later." Miles headed off and the three of us went inside our class. Nino and Adrien were already there.
Once more Chloe walked to the back since her old seat now belonged to Zoe, her half-sister. But she looked less disappointed, I think she and Nathaniel are getting along pretty well.
Miss. Bustier started to teach her lesson.
Nino and I kept sneaking secret glances at eachother whenever we got the chance. Marinette noticed eventually. "If you like him so much just tell him." She insists. I shook my head. "Not yet, I have to go on a proper date with him first. Like I will be doing tonight."
She still gave me a look but nodded anyway. The two of us looked back to pay attention to Miss. Bustiers lesson.

School was over quicker then I expected it to be. My date with Nino was getting closer. I'm pretty sure Mari and Chloe are going to drag me to some kind of fashion store so they can pick out the perfect outfit for me, specifically a dress.
And I was right, because the two of them came running, linking their arms around mine and taking me with them. I just went along with it because there's nothing I can do to stop these two.
Marinette and Chloe took me to a very expensive store with very, very fancy clothes. The dresses were beautiful, just not my style.
That is, until I saw it. The dress, it was long, sleeveless and it was orange fading into white. It was so beautiful. But way too much.
Unfortunately Chloe noticed me staring at the dress. "That one would look amazing on you!" She squealed, calling one of the clerks over and asked her to take down the dress to get a closer look and for me to try it on.
The lady took it off the mannequin and handed it to me, pointing me in the right direction to the change rooms. Chloe pushed me inside and forced me to put the dress on.
So I put it on, I looked at myself in the mirror, I looked... Good. I opened the curtain and Chloe and Marinette stared at me in awe.
"We found your dress!" Chloe announced. I went back inside the change room and took the dress off. When I came out, Chloe snatched it from me and took it up the the counter.
"Chloe, I can't let you pay for that." She shook her head. "Nonsense, this is my treat. Nino is going to faint when he sees you in this." She finished paying and took the dress that was placed in a bag.
The three of us left the store. "Hey, I'm sure we're not the only ones doing this. I bet Adrien and Luka have dragged Nino to a similar store full of fancy suits for him, and Adrien will also insist on paying for the one Nino likes. It's what best friends do." She does have a point.
Chloe handed me the bag with what is now my new dress. I took it from her. She and Mari both gave me what they call "good luck hugs" and headed off in their own directions.
I took out my phone and checked the time. Five-thirty. I have half an hour to get ready. I can't make it to my house as me. I ran to an alley behind the Mall.
Trixx flew out. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Making my trip easier." I answered and he sighed. "Just get it over with."
"TRIXX, LET'S POUNCE!"
I make sure to lay low so people didn't see Rena Rouge going home and figuring out who I am.
As soon as I made it home I went straight to my room. "Let's rest." I held onto the bag, I took out the dress. "Chloe was right, that's the perfect one for you. Even if you are going on a date with Nino." Trixx said.
I didn't say anything, does Trixx not approve of me going on a date with Nino?
"I'm not saying it's bad. Nino is a great guy. I just don't want you to get hurt. Because the longer you're with him the harder it will become to keep your secret from him. You won't be able to tell him you're Rena Rouge, you've been a Miraculous holder for nearly a year and we still haven't defeated Hawk Moth. We don't even know where his layer is. But that doesn't mean you can't defeat him, one day we will find him and he will lose. Then you and Nino can be together forever." I have a close bond with Trixx.
It's been almost a year since I first became the holder of the Fox Miraculous.
~Flashback~
It's my first day of Tenth grade. To say I was nervous was an understatement. Ladybug and Chat Noir have been saving Paris for a few months already. It's just the two of them.
They deserve help, but there haven't been any other Superheroes. I have always imagined myself up there, helping them fight Supervillains.
On my way to School, I saw an old man. He was short so it was easy for him to get trampled. I rushed in before he did get trampled. "Thank you young lady." He smiled.
"My pleasure sir." I waved bye and ran in the School. Before I went to class I headed to the bathroom to freshen up. I opened my bag and found this strange box.
I opened it and a flash of light flew out and went around me. There was a strange creature, "Hey there. I'm Trixx. I'm a Kwami." I know I've heard of that before. I looked at the box again and inside was a pendant, it was the shape of a fox tail.
I put it on, I took a good look at it. Then the knowledge hit me.
"Are you what gives Superheroes their powers?" He nodded. "I'm the fox Kwami so the power you'll have is creating a Mirage. Just think about what you want to make and then it will happen." That's a lot to take in.
"So all you have to say to transform is, Trixx, let's pounce." It would be so cool to do that right now but I have class. "Sounds awesome, but I'll have to wait until after School to test it out." I left the bathroom as soon as Trixx was hidden.
When I went to head to class there was shouting and people running. Looks like I'll have to transform before School ends. I ran and hide, because the number one rule of being a Superhero is keeping your identity a secret.
"TRIXX, LET'S POUNCE!"
I looked at my costume. It was so cool. I saw Ladybug and Chat Noir. They were fighting. I jumped up there to join them. And I wasn't the only one.
Three others jumped up here too. There was a girl, her Hero suit looked like a bee. She must have the Bee Miraculous then.
Another guy looked a lot like a snake. Then there was a turtle. The four of us just stared at eachother. "Hi! I'm..." I need to think of a perfect name. "Rena Rouge!" I said.
"Queen Bee."
"Viperion."
"And I'm Carapace."
And that's when our team was assembled.
~End Of Flashback~
Trixx has been amazing. He always had good advice for me. "Alya, it's nearly six." He says and I quickly put my dress on.
"How do I look?" Trixx flew all around me. "Perfect." I chose one of my smaller purses, but it was still big enough for Trixx. I hid my Miraculous so no one would suspect anything.
I left my room. My Dad was waiting. "Alya dear, you look even better then when you did on your first date." I laughed. "This is my first date. The other one was just as friends." He gave me a hug.
I waited patiently for Nino to show up. The doorbell rang and I answered it. He was wearing a very fancy tuxedo. "Did Adrien bye that for you?" He nodded. "He noticed I liked and bought it as soon as I finished trying it on. He didn't let me protest and said it's what friends are for." I laughed again.
"Chloe did the exact same thing. She bought this for me because I liked it so much. When I took it off she just sent and paid for it. She's such a good friend." Nino extended his arm.
"Shall we?" I smiled and linked my arm with his. "We shall." The two of us went to a nice restaurant. Not Chloe's Hotel, I don't want a repeat of last time.
The two of us took a seat at our table. We were about to order when we felt shaking. People in the restaurant began to panic.
There was the loud sound of a window shattering. I heard laughing. Nino frowned.
"Seriously? Can't Hawk Moth just go one day without Akumatizing someone? Just one day! That's all we ask for! But no! Every single day just one person has to have any kind of negative emotion that gives Hawk Moth the chance to Akumatize them."
I want that too Nino, we all do. But I have to find somewhere to transform. Nino looked at me. "Go hide!" He ordered. "But what about you?" I stared into his eyes. His look softened. "I don't want you with me if I get found, you'll be safe." His face changed back to serious. "Now go." I frowned but went anyway.
I can't stand around long, if Nino is still out there I need to save him.
I ran out of my hiding spot, I kept looking around but Nino was nowhere in sight. There was more damage. The restaurant was completely destroyed. I just hope everyone made it out safely, including Nino.

"This Supervillain is very powerful. We just don't know what her power is yet." The six of us met up like we always do.
We were about to head off to make a quick plan when I heard something, there was a grunt. I turned and saw Chat Noir.
His stomach had an... Arrow, pricing through it. He looked at it. "Hey.. At least it doesn't hurt." There was no blood. It's not a real arrow. It's something else.
"I feel strange, like my mind is going fuzzy..." His hands were brought to his head. "It hurts... My head hurts!" I know what her power is...
"Mind control." My teammates looked at me. "She's trying to mind control him!" Chat fell to his knees stil clutching his head.
"Get it out! Removing the source might stop it!" Ladybug shouted and Viperion went forward and took the arrow in his hands, when he pulled, it didn't budge.
"It's stuck!" He hissed. He tried again, and that's when it vanished, it shrunk into Chat's body. His eyes were closed and he didn't move for a few minutes.
That's when they opened, and when he looked at us, we all saw his eyes. They were white. He became angry and got up, Viperion was still in front of him.
Viperion didn't move either. "Chat..?" He whispered, that's when Chat Noir lunged for him, knocking him to the ground and pinning him there.
I ran forward and took hold of Chat Noir, trying to pull him off Viperion. Carapace came to help me. But even the two of us couldn't get him off.
Queen Bee ran up and took hold of Viperion's arms. Ladybug went to help her. "Ready, pull on three," Ladybug made her grip firm.
Viperion glanced back and forth between us. "Please don't rip me in half..." He prayed. I hope we don't rip him either.
"One," I got ready. "Two," I held my grip on Chat Noir. "Three!" I pulled with all my might, Carapace did the same.
Ladybug and Queen Bee pulled with all their might too. It took so much effort but we finally did it. Ladybug threw her Yo-Yo and the string wrapped around Chat.
He stayed still. His eyes were still white. He had no control over his own mind. "We have to save him." I turned to face my teammates.
"We'll be able to once I've captured the Akuma. But I can't do that until I know where it is." Ladybug said. "The Supervillain is nowhere in sight. We can't stop her if we don't know where she is." Queen Bee stated.
"We can't leave him like this." Carapace admitted. "He'll attack us if we let him go..." I whispered. "And what happens when you need to transform back? Your Yo-Yo can't be the thing that holds him." Carapace continued.
I looked at Chat Noir. "We need rope." I announced. "I'll get it." Queen Bee offered. "I'll go with you. We'll need a lot." Ladybug spoke sadly.
The two of them left. Carapace, Viperion and I were left with Chat Noir, tied up in Ladybugs Yo-Yo. We kept our eyes on him.
He still stayed quite and didn't move. The only thing he did do was breath and blink evey ten minutes. He didn't try to break free or run away. He's like a mindless zombie, not able to speak for himself.
It's horrible. I can't watch him like this. I closed my eyes. Carapace came up to me and I felt his hand on my shoulder. "We will get him back. I promise." I looked at him.
"I hope you're right."

Fuck this cliffhanger! Oops, sorry I'm ending it here. You'll find out what happens next in the next chapter. I know, I don't like cliffhangers either. But the difference between this cliffhanger and ones that never continue is that this one will continue. Some get cancelled but this will never be cancelled. It's going to be longer then I expected, but that's good! I want it as long as I can possibly get it. Bye!
