You walk into class holding the two lunch boxes and you're greeted with an enthusiastic Iida. "Good morning, Y/n! Are you ready for another day of school?!" he's doing his hand chopping motion again. "Moring, Iida! And yeah, I'm always ready." You smile and make your way to your seat, but before you sit down, you placed a nicely wrapped lunch box on Todoroki's desk. You kinda forgot to tell him to not bring himself a lunch from home but luckily, he didn't seem to bring one today. "Here you go, Todoroki. This is thanks for sharing your lunch with me and walking me home." He seemed a little shocked, he wasn't expecting this. He actually forgot his lunch at home today, but here you were giving him one. "Thank you." You smiled at him as he placed the lunch in his bag.
"What was that about?" You turn to look at Uraraka with a surprised look on her face. "Oh, yesterday Todoroki shared his lunch with me and walked me home yesterday. This is my way of thanking him." Her surprised look grew even more. "What?" she gets closer to you and starts to whisper. "You mean to tell me, you two shared a lunch and then he walked you home?!" you look at her with some confusion. "Yeah? What's wrong with that?" you asked obliviously. "I mean, nothings wrong with that; I'm just a little shocked that's all. Especially since you two just met." you let out a small giggle. "It's not like I planned all that to happen. It just happened." your friend hummed in response but then gasped. "Wait.. Is that why you didn't come to eat lunch with us?! You went to go eat with him!" you mentally facepalm yourself. "Well yes and no. It's not what you think. As I said, it wasn't planned. Look, I originally went to look for him for something and then he shared his lunch since I wouldn't make it to the cafeteria on time."
"Ohhh, I see." you let out a sigh of relief as she understood, unlike SOME people. Just then, THE #1 hero came into the class. "I AM... COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" the whole class erupted in excitement. Wow, he looks cooler in person, you thought to yourself. "I teach basic hero training. It's a subject where you train in different ways to learn the basics of being a hero. Alright, let's get straight to it! Today we will be... COMBAT TRAINING!" your eyes light up and you turn to look at Todoroki. "Woah, doesn't that sound exciting Todoroki?" he slightly turns to look at you. "I suppose." you smile and set your eyes on everyone's hero costumes coming from the wall. Everyone's excitement only grew more.

Everyone walked out wearing their hero costumes. Everyone looks so cool! you thought to yourself. Midoriya came out last and his costume looked nice but oddly similar to All might. "Ah, Deku!" You and Uraraka decided to go up to him. "Your costume looks cool! So down to earth." Midoriya seemed a little startled by her. Aww, seems like he has a crush on her. You chuckle at the thought. "I should've written what I wanted... Mine ended up being a body suit." You look at her costume, thinking it was definitely tight to her skin. But she still looked pretty in it! "Awe don't worry Uraraka, you look so cute in it." You throw your arms on the girl and press your cheek up against hers. You notice Midoriya getting flustered at the sight of you two in your hero costumes. "Now, it's time for combat training!" everyone's attention quickly went to All might.
While All Might is explaining what we were gonna do today, you noticed Todoroki. So of course you decided to go up to him. "Hey, cool costume." he turns to look at you and his eyes widen a bit. "So, you like mine?" You did a little twirl to show him the full thing and he slightly blushed but you didn't notice. "It looks nice." You smile and turn your attention back to the Hero.
"So, do you hope to be on the villain team or the hero team?" you honestly hoped to be on the hero team but the villain team would be fun too. "It doesn't matter; either way, you and I will win." your eyes furrow in confusion. "You and I? All might hasn't even announced the pairs yet." you let out a giggle. "Did you hope to be paired with me, Todoroki?" he shrugged since he thought there was no reason to hide it, "I suppose I do." You're a little shocked by his response. You didn't think Todoroki would be so blunt and forward. "Well, I hope to be your partner as well." he's quite the character, you thought.
"All right young students, listen up! I will now announce pairs and which team you will be on!" you listened intently hoping for you and Todoroki to be teamed up together. "L/n Y/n and Todoroki Shoto: The hero team!" your eyes light up at the pairing, "Wow we actually got paired!" you put your hand out for a high five but didn't return it. "Oh come on Todoroki! Stop being so aloof for once!" he looked away... but he also returned the gesture. You smiled at your victory.

The first group goes up. Hero team Midoriya and Uraraka v Villain team Bakugo and Iida. You started to get worried since Bagkugo and Midoriya were up against each other. You don't know what happened between them yet, but they seem to have such hatred for each other. Well... It's more of a one-sided hatred. Midoriya seems to be scared of Bakugo. And Bakugo seems to be the one who hates Midoriya. "Are you nervous?" You look the dual haired boy. "For us? No. I'm worried for Midoriya." Just then, Bakugo went in for a surprise attack on the two, but Midoriya moved him and Uraraka out the way. "He dodged it!" Bakugo goes for his next attack but Midoriya caught his arm and flipped him over. Todoroki wanted to say something to comfort you, but he didn't know why. He came here to become a hero and prove to his father he can become one without using his left side; not to be nice and make friends. Yet here he was, trying to think of what he could say to make you feel better.
"Bakugo only wants to fight him. I don't even think he cares about the exercise. He didn't even care when Uraraka left." You wish you knew what they were saying but it wasn't possible. Midoriya went to hide and Uraraka finally made it to Iida and the weapon. But Bakugo found Midoriya and he seemed to have something bad in mind. "I don't have a good feeling about this." you were right, because he released a giant attack straight onto Midoriya. Luckily, Midoriya was able to dodge it. "All Might, you have to stop them! He's gonna seriously hurt Midoriya!" you pleaded to your teacher but he denied your request. "But-" "It'll be fine. I'm sure he'd stop the fight before anything gets too bad." You turn to look at Todoroki. You wanted to protest more, but you decided not to. He's right. He'd stop it before anything goes wrong. "He doesn't look like the type to think, but he's more subtle than I expected." Kirishima and Mina turn around in confusion. He explained himself and Yaomomo chimed in. Holy shit she's beautiful. May not be the best time to be thinking such things but it's true! She's gorgeous!
"They're right. Bakugo might be a hot head but he's smart. Midoriya knows his moves and Bakugo knows that and he was able to quickly change his normal moves into something Midoriya wouldn't be able to predict." you added to their convo. "That's not all that of a genius move! All he did was change his attacks." You look at Kaminari who still didn't seem to fully get it. "It's a lot harder than you think. The attacks you make is like second nature to a lot of us. You don't notice it because of how often you've been doing it. Why do you think Midoriya was dodging all his moves at the start?" he finally seemed to understand.

After some time, the hero team eventually won. No one was too badly hurt, except Midoriya who had to be taken to Recovery Girl. Now, it was you and Todoroki's turn to go up against the mock villains. As you have your guard up as you walk in. "You should probably wait outside, this can get dangerous." You look at him in confusion. "I'm sorry what?" he stops walking but doesn't turn around. "I'm going to freeze this whole place. Once I do, I'll just go upstairs and touch the weapon; it'll be an easy win." You honestly start to get a little annoyed. "You can't just make a plan without me. Not only make a plan without me and leave me out of it completely." you walk up to him and turn him around to face you. "You really think you'll become a hero by doing everything by yourself? By leaving your teammates out of everything?" he started to get annoyed with you. What would you know?
"Look, I have a plan that'll work just as fine. You can use your stupid ice too. But we have to work together." He's visibly getting more annoyed. "So you get to make the plan but I don't?" God, why is he being so stubborn right now? you decide this is a conversation for a later time. "We shouldn't be doing this right now. You can argue with me all you want later. Remember we have Hagakure against us. She's completely invisible, she can sneak up on us at any second." He sighs and decides to just hear you out for now. "When I was younger, I had a friend with a quirk similar to yours. We'd do this thing where he'd freeze the floor and I'd add a layer of water." He continues to stay quiet and listen to you. "It makes the ground extremely hard to walk or even stand on. I'm sure you can walk on your ice just fine. I can walk on my water just fine so we won't fall." He doesn't say anything but he nods in acknowledgment. "First, I wanna do something."
He watches as you walk ahead of him. You didn't tell him what you had in mind but he couldn't argue with you right now. "With my quirk, I can find people's location using the water in the ground." You already had heightened senses because of training and just in general growing up with him. You would be able to tell if anyone was around with the slightest noise, but you just wanted to be sure neither of them was near.
You extend your arm forward and held out your pointer finger. "Locate." a water droplet falls from your finger and creates a small ripple effect under you. You didn't explain your ability all that well but Todoroki is smart enough to put two and two together. "They're both upstairs, but Hagakure is waiting at the front entrance. I'm sure she's waiting to catch us off guard. Let's go." and with that, you and Todoroki made your way up.
"Sorry guys looks like we're gonna have to take that from you," Ojiro smirks and gets into a fighting stance. "As if we'll let you do that." you notice he keeps glancing to your side. Hagakure must be there. "Now Todoroki!" he sets a layer of ice onto the floor and you did the same with your water. You heard Hagakure fall onto the ground next to you. I was right. Ojiro attempts to get up but he can't. "There's no use in trying to stand. You won't be able to." Todoroki said as you two made your way to the fake weapon. "We win." Ojiro sighs in defeat. Usually, you'd be happy about the win. But the small disagreement you and Todoroki had made you too upset. You said nothing and walked out.
"Wow! They made it look so easy." The class watched in awe as you two beat the challenge with ease. "As expected. They both got in through recommendations." You walked back into the room where everyone else was at. "You okay, Y/n? You and Todoroki seemed to be arguing..." Uraraka came up to you with a worried look on her face. "It's fine. He was just being a stubborn asshole." You glared at him from across the room. You'd probably be over there with him if he didn't piss you off. "What even happened." You explained to the brunette girl what went on between you two and she agreed that he was being unreasonable. You decided to just shrug it off for now and watch the rest of the battles.

Lunch finally came around and you were excited to go eat with all your friends. "Oh, you brought your own lunch Y/n? What you got?" Uraraka asked as she linked her arm with yours "It's rice, fried pork cutlet with tonkatsu sauce and some salad! Made it all myself!" You all started heading to the cafeteria. "Wow, that sounds so good. Had no clue you could cook Y/n!" You were all just talking about whatever came to mind when you were stopped by a certain someone. "Y/n. Can we talk?" You all stop and turn around to see Todoroki. This is the first time you two talked since your small argument a few hours ago. "No." You were honestly still upset with him and didn't feel like talking to him yet. "Please? Just for a few minutes, then you can go back." you sigh and look at your friends. "Fine. I'll meet you guys at the cafeteria." They nod and head off without a word.
You and Todoroki walked to a more private area, the whole time in tense silence. "I wanted to apologize for the way I acted back in the battle training." You stayed quiet waiting for him to finish. "I shouldn't have made a plan that left you out, and I shouldn't have gotten mad at you for your plan. I grew up isolated from everyone else. My father never let me interact with anyone, not even my siblings. I'm not used to needing anyone else's help. It's not an excuse for my actions, but it's something that affects me. I'll make it up to you." You watched as he hung his head low. You didn't think he'd speak about anything so personal. Yeah, you were mad, but you can't stay mad forever. "Thank you for apologizing. I can tell it was sincere. I accept your apology." He looks up and you hug him. He was caught off guard and stiffened up. But after a few seconds, you felt him relax. He didn't give you a hug back, but you could feel him moving his arms almost as if he was debating whether or not to hug you back.
You pulled away and held up your lunch. "Come on, let's go eat." He looked at you in surprise. "But, what about your friends? You were supposed to eat lunch with them." You pulled out your phone to text Uraraka. "Don't worry, I'll tell them I won't make it today, I'm sure they'll understand." He nodded and you two made your way to the same spot you two had eaten lunch yesterday. "Thank you for the food." you both said it at the same time and started eating. "So... what do you think?" You anxiously watched Todoroki eating the food you made, hoping he liked it. "It's delicious."
You smile and go back to eating your food. "How did you know I didn't bring lunch today?" you giggled and looked at him. "I predicted the future." His eyes widened and looked at you with a really surprised face. "R-Really?" you look at him trying to figure out if he genuinely believed you or if he's pretending to be surprised. There's no way he's joking, he's genuinely shocked. You busted out laughing at his reaction. He looked at you confused as to why you were laughing, are you a fortune teller or not?!! "Sorry, sorry! Your reaction was too funny!" you wipe away the tears forming and calm down from what just happened. "No, Todoroki, I was just joking. I had no clue you didn't bring lunch. I forgot to tell you I'd make us lunch so I just hoped you didn't bring one." He nods. "I see." you giggle and the two of you go back to eating your lunch. Seems like he's starting to let his guard down around me. I'm glad.

You and Todoroki were heading back to your classroom after lunch. You went to open it, but it was swung open by someone on the other side. "Get out of my way, extra." You were shoved out the way by Bakugo. He honestly pissed you off too after what he did back at the battle trials. "The hell is your problem?" He continued to just walk off. "Coward. Do you really think you'll become the #1 hero when you get all pissy over a loss? Some hero you are."The whole class was watching in awe as the door to the class was still open. "The hell did you just say to me?" he turned around and started walking up to you.
"You heard me. I don't know what went on between you and Midoriya, but that doesn't mean you get to be a big bully. Does losing a battle against him really affect you that much? That you just walk away? Heh, what a wuss." He grabbed you by the collar of your shirt with hatred in his eyes. "Take that back." You don't back down, but Todoroki tightly grabbed onto Bakugo's arm. "Let go." This was getting too tense, you could practically feel it in the air. They stared at each other for a few moments before Bakugo let go. "Tch, whatever." He walked off and you walked into class.
Everyone saw what went on, but nobody knew what to say to ease the tension. After a few moments, Midoriya walked back into class. That was enough to make everyone feel more at ease. "Oh! Midoriyas here!" Kirishima brought everyone's attention to the flustered green-haired boy. Everyone congratulated him on his win and were talking about how cool he looked during the trials. You smiled to yourself, happy that your friend recovered from everything that went on earlier that day. "Welcome back, Deku." He smiled at you and Uraraka as you both walked up to him. "Are you feeling better?!" Uraraka asked frantically as he seemed to be looking a lot better than before. "Yeah, mostly. She didn't heal everything due to the amount of stamina I hav- Wait. Where's Kaachan?" The room gets quiet again. "He left."
"What?" We explained to him what happened and he chased after the boy. You, Uraraka, Tsu and Mina went to watch what would go on between the two. Bakugo was yelling and ended up crying a little. You felt a little bad, but you also feel like it was something he needed to hear. But, you can't really help those who don't wanna be helped just yet. Hopefully, he comes to that conclusion himself. We're all growing and learning, I'm sure he'll mature soon enough. You all walked back to the class to grab your things and head home. "You ready Todoroki?" he looked up at you and nodded.
You and all your friends talk and laugh as you guys made your way to the School gates where you all eventually part ways for the day. "Are you okay?" You nod at him and yawn. "Yeah, it's just been a long day." You two didn't really talk much the rest of the way, but you've been finding the courage to ask the boy something.
"So... I promised my friends I'd eat with them tomorrow." He just nodded. "So I won't be able to eat with you." another nod. "So... could you come eat with us?" You two stop at the front of your house "No."
"Great, we can- Wait no?!" you pouted at his response. "Pleaseeee Todoroki! I promise you won't have to interact with us much! You could just sit there and eat your food." you clasp your hands together as you try to convince him. Then, you remembered he said he'd make it up to you. "Whatever it is you're planning, no."
"Remember how you said you'd make it up to me." He sighed in defeat. "Fine." You squealed as he watched. You didn't notice but Todoroki seemed to crack a small smile at your reaction, but it went away before you could notice. "I promise you can leave if you feel like it's too much for you! Anyways, bye bye Todoroki! See you tomorrow!" He waved and his small smile returned.
