Me and Childe continued sitting together for another week. But the classmister said he'll rearange our sitting positions.
And pf course, even tho the two of us didn't cause any distractions for class we got separated. Both of us being on totally different side or classroom.
He was, seated near one of bigest manipulators in class, girl who made one of my closest friends into her mindless folower, I hated her, once she tried manipulate me but I didn't budge so she tried turning few people against me. But I used few of my own manipulation tricks.
I was with a pretty annoying guy,but we could work together once I decided to tolerate his constant talking about funny ways to kill someone or stuff like that (inspiration of actual guy I was sitting with last year💀)
I thought she would manipulate Childe just like she did with almost whole class so I kind of stopped talking to him.
It really hurt me, but what hurt more was that he didn't seem to talk to me either.

I got home and did my homework, I didn't really have much to do so I started playing Genshin impact. That was something like my 'gate to escape reality'.
I saw my best friend playing and requested to join.Of coirse she accepted😌.
After about an hour or so of running around, killing bosses, her taking pics of my Thoma in my Teapot she had to go. So I continued playing.
I saw my chat bubble having a little '!' mark. Did my bestie forgot to tell me something?
I opened the chat and saw who it was... All_mighty_Childe.

Haha I guess, my friends from last school also play it so they gave me nickname.
But let me call you I'm to lazy to type.
He called me and I answered a bit unsure of what to say. So I just kept quiet until he said something. But all that came was silence.
"Helloooo~? My phone stopped ringing but it seems to me the person I want to hear is mad at me. Can you help me?" I heard his voice wich made me feel a bit at ease.
I let out a small laugh. "Ha! so you CAN hear me, haha. So comerade, how's your day today?"
"Bit, annoying I guess, I don't really like that guy, what about you. What do you think of Amy?" I said, but unfortunately my voice dropped at mention of her name and he noticed.
"Do the two of you have some bad blood between each other?..."
"Haha, why would you think that?"
"She tried telling me how annoying you were and things like that in... let's call it, nice way."
"So she did try to manipulate you too huh? Yeah, she kind of hates me. Up until now,I was only one who saw trugh her lies and she didn't like that..."
"I see... you really thought I would be like everybody else!? Haha you'll have to give me more credit than that girlie."
"Haha, ok. Sorry for ignoring you..."
"Don't worry we're good. Sooo... are we gonna play or no?"
"Haha sure I NEED better artifacts for Xiao and Kazuha. You?"
"I need some for Zhongli and Shenhe."
"Uuuu~ Childe is building Zhongli? Cannon."
"H-hey! You're also using his shield so shut up! Plus this IRL Childe likes you more than Zhongli~"

Next day Childe sat next to me, and we were talking all the way to school. Then we saw our other classmates. We sat next to them and even tho he was sitting at the edge of conversation I somehow still managed to be the only invisible one.
"Wait. Y/n didn't you just say something let me hear it." His voice said surprising everyone.
"Oh, uhh n-no. I think you heard wrong." I said I was too shy now and gave him the 'don't push it' look wich he understood.

When class started I saw Amy 'playing' with Childes hair, something she did to everyone and saying 'You'r hair si so cuteee Omg'.
I heard Childe saying he doesn't like that, but I still felt some pain in my chest. I knew she won't stop...
While it was lunch break I was heading to canteen with other girls from my class and few boys, Childe included.
I took my food and payed and then started to leave. Childe soon followed behind me wich I didn't notice however I heard Eva saying.
"Wait Ajax, could you please wait for me?"
I turned around and saw Childe behind me with not so happy face. He turned around and swiched to happy face as he said "No sorry, I have to go somewhere.."
I just continued walking as he cought up to me.
"You're ignoring me today too? Jeez, talk about being jelous~"
"w-what!? Haha why in hell would I be jelous!?" I said as I pushed him away he was too close.
"Don't think I didn't see your pounding when Amy tortured my hair."
"You idio-"
"Hey Y/n, can you come with me for sec. I wanna see if I did my english homework right" Amy sudenly popped up behind us.
"Oh, you can just take my note book, it's blue, you'll know when you see it..."
"No I really need your help with something, I don't want to copy something without knowing why."
"Ok then. Let's go... see ya" I said as I turned to Childe. He had somewhat sad look, I knew why, but I went with Amy anyway.

"Anyways~ can I know how long do you know Ajax? You two seem so close,it's cute!"
"Oh, well I know him for as long as you know him..."
"Oh I see, say, you don't have feelings for him~?" I knew exactly where this was going, this was 3rd time I've been asked that question from her.
"Haha, nah. We're just friends."
"Ok good, because someone else likes him and I wouldn't want you two to fight." I put on a fake smile as she was speaking and nodded.

When I got home that day, Childe called me and asked me to talk.
"Sure I'm turning my game on right now haha."
"No. Like just talk.?"His voice was unusualy cold.
"..something wrong? Are you ok..?"
"... you know what? Meet metomorow before school ok?"
I was about to say ok but he hang up. What is wrong with him!?
Next day
I saw Childe in front of school as promised. He smiled but something was off.
"Let's get coffe! My treat of course."

"Childe? What's wrong? You've been acting weird..."
"What happened with you and Amy yesterday?"
Then it hit me... Did she not buy my lie this time!? Did she send him something!?
"W-what did she send you..?" I asked but he gave me a questioned look.
"Was she supposed to send me something? She was just flirting more with me and telling ne how borring you are..." I felt a bit relive.
"Oh.. nah nothing bad, haha... school soon starts we should go."
"Sure. Oh but first..." I looked at him as he was really close. I then felt something warm on my lips.
HE KISSED ME!?
"That's a good luck charm. I think it works pretty well, but if you need another one, don't be afraid to ask~"
