In the weeks that followed the wedding, it had been quiet, content, peaceful. Jaime hadn't left her side unless he was called on to do so. Her father had seem to be at ease with the situation, focusing on being Robert's Hand. Tywin had began the journey back to Casterly Rock. All was well.

Jessica had even began go attend court with Sansa on a regular basis. She would watch Arya with her dancing lessons with Syrio. She absolutely loved him. And things had began to adjust in her favor. Or so she thought.

Court had be going about its usual business, Jessica was beginning to tune out the monotony of it all. Robert and her Father looked as equally bored. Jaime would continually shift his gaze from Jessica to the throne and back.

Janos Slynt suddenly came bursting through the door. All heads turned. Slynt was dragging someone by their  hair. When she passed by, Jessica could tell she was a Dothraki girl. She couldn't be much older than Jessica herself. Slynt threw her down in front of the steps of the Iron Throne.

"What business is this Slynt?" Robert bellowed.

"Stowaway Your Grace." Slynt looked from her to Robert.

"Dothraki don't cross the Narrow Sea." Ned was looking at her carefully.

"Why did you come to Westeros?" Lord Baelish leaned in further.

The girl in turn started spitting a slur of Dothraki insults toward the lot of them.

"She's probably going to get killed where she's standing." Renly had appeared at Jessica's side.

Jessica bit her lip. A nervous tic she'd recently developed. "You'd...still love me if I did something incredibly stupid." She looked up at Renly.

"I would. I can't speak about your Kingslayer." He gave a glance to Jaime.

Jessica saw Robert give a nod to Jaime who approached the girl on the other side. Lannister and Slynt. That wasn't a good combination on the best of days. And throw Selmy into the mix and it might as well be over.

Jessica looked up at Renly. "Jaime doesn't love me." Her feet was moving before she could rethink her decision.

"Lekhaan! Ki is vo (Enough. That is no way to treat your king)." Jessica's voice echoed as she moved toward the girl. Every eye fell on her.

The Dothraki girl suddenly spun to face her. She looked at Jessica intently, studying her before she stated quite plainly. "Khaleesi."

Jessica stopped and blinked, obviously taken aback. Jessica, composing herself, smiled sweetly and shook her head no. She settled herself between Jaime and the girl. Jessica motioned to Cersei. "Khaleesi." Then in turn, motioned to Robert. "Khal."

The girl looked at her and made a face of what Jessica could only describe as disgust, then shook her head. "Yeri are better than loy Khal che Khaleesi gew. Yeri braver. Spoke kash vo mahrazh would (You are braver than any King or Queen here. Spoke when no man would)."

"Lady Lannister." Petyr Baelish spoke rather quietly.

"Lord Baelish." Jessica's courtly smile had returned.

"Not that this isn't entertaining. But would you care to enlighten the rest of us on this ravishing conversation." Petyr had gestured to everyone on the dias.

"Lord Baelish." Jessica took a breath. "As much as I would, I'm quite fond of keeping my head attached to my neck."

There was muttered laughter throughout the court. Through her peripheral, she saw the Dothraki girl's mouth twitch every so slightly into a smirk.

"Lyanna." Her father's voiced snapped her to attention.

"If ki's yeri ave, kash yeri Khaleesi (if that's your father, then you Queen)." The Dothraki girl caught her by the wrist.

She felt Jaime tense behind her. Jessica met the Dothraki girl's eyes. "I'm no Khaleesi."

"Lyanna come here please." Ned's voice was soft, but urgent.

The girl let her go and Jessica climbed the Iron Steps to stand between Robert and her Father.

"Ned what's that look for?" Robert looked over to his Hand.

"I'm just wondering when in the last 14 years I missed my daughter learning the Dothraki language." He studied his daughter as if looking at her for the first time.

"What is that girl saying?" Robert looked at Jessica. "You won't be in trouble for whatever you tell me."

"All she said was that I was the Queen, because I spoke up when no one else would."

"Incredibly stupid on your part." Cersei pursed her lips.

"Quiet woman." Rober barked. Then looked back at Jessica. "What does she know about the Targaryen scum?"

Jessica sighed and looked back at the girl and repeated Robert's question. "Fini hash yeri know qisi the Targaryen nayat?"

She narrowed her eye at Robert but then spoke to Jessica. "Wed to Khal Drogo."

Robert gave an exasperated huff. "We know that!" He then looked at Jessica. "Ask her what more."

Jessica sighed doing as told. They looked at each other. The Dothraki girl kept a blank expression. "Hash enta she mae (has baby in her).

Jessica gave her a similar blank expression. No Robert did not need to know this. Jessica wasn't going to have an unborn child's blood on her hand. So she looked at Robert, and made her second stupid move. "She has nothing more to add."

"Fine. Then let's be done. An ex-" Robert began.

"Does she have to die?" Jessica quickly asked. The court in whole fell completely silent. When no one, not even Robert spoke, Jessica continued on. "She's a stowaway. A crime. A crime that deserves justice."

"And what are you proposing?" Robert eyed her up and down. In a way that wasn't entirely comfortable.

"Indentured Servitude. Let her be one of my ladies. I in turn, may be able to crack some more information on Daenerys Targaryen."

There was silence, Jessica thinking that it would be all for naught. But then Robert waved his hand. "Take her out of my sight."

Jessica gave a curtsy and descended the steps. Once she reached the Dothraki girl, she grabbed her by the wrist and lead her out. The girl began to glance back at the crowd. "Don't turn around." Jessica muttered so only the two of them could hear. "It shows weakness."

The two walked back to her chambers in silence. Once behind closed door, Jessica let out a shaky breath. "You know the common tongue."

"Aye Khaleesi." She smiled defiantly.

"Jessica. That is my name." She looked over at the girl.

"Navi, Khaleesi. Navi is mine."

"I told you." Jessica couldn't help but smile. "I'm not a Khaleesi."

"No?" Navi tilted her head. "Then why did you act like one."

"I didn't know valuing life was a crime." Jessica sat on the couch.

"So Daenerys Targaryen is with child." She ran her hands through her hair.

"Yes, Khaleesi. She holds the Stallion that Mounts the World." Navi sat down next to her.

"Wonderful. So...why are you hear? On the other side of the Narrow Sea. I thought Dothraki never cross."

Navi smiled as the door flew open "Ha eshna kashi (Another time)."

She saw herself out as Jaime all but slammed the door behind him.

"Do you have a death wish?" He crossed his arms.

"I thought I was valuing life." Jessica glanced over at him.

"You just defied the King, and our Sister! You don't think that won't go unnoticed?"

Jessica stood and walked out to the balcony. She didn't want to argue. Not sober. She heard Jaime remove his armor before joining her.

She wouldn't look at him. Just focused on the city below.
Jaime leaned against the side, watching her. "Robert's is going to want to crack her for any information. He'll pull you into this. You'll be forced to sit there and watch him break her bit by bit."

"She doesn't have anymore to tell." Jessica rested her chin on her hands.

Jaime sighed, gently reaching over tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "If I send you to Casterly Rock -"

"No!" Jessica looked at Jaime horror struck.

"My Father can protect you." Jaime finished, narrowing his eyes. "I can make sure your safe."

"I need to be here with my family." Jessica shook her head.

"We are your family Jess. Or don't you remember that?" Jaime had straightened up slightly.

Jessica went to walk away when he caught her wrist. "Let go." Jessica spoke through gritted teeth. She walked until both her and Jaime's arms were outstretched. Eyes locked onto each other.

Jessica gave another tug, and when she did, Jaime simply pulled her to him. Her back pressed against his chest, he held to both her wrists. Jessica wriggled in his grasp until she was out of breath. He leaned down and pressed his cheek to hers.

"Are you quite done?" Cockiness, arrogance, self-absorbed, stubbornness. All that dripped from that one single question.

"Let go." Jessica was seething.

"You have fire. That is something I absolutely adore about you. But that fire is oftentimes directed at the wrong people." His breath tickled her neck. "I am your husband. I am not your enemy. So don't turn me into one."

"And the rest of the world?" Jessica turned to look at him.

His smile was almost sickly sweet. "I will kill the whole bloody lot of them until you and I are the only two people left in this world."
