It's been just about month since the incident in Hosu and summertime has arrived to joy of most and despair of some, Y/N L/N just so happens to be part of the latter group as he's currently contemplating every way he could possibly die as he melts to death at home. Unfortunately for him everyone in the family seems be enjoying the increased temperatures, Kotori and Tomoko have both enjoyed the outdoors together while dragging the rest of the family along, Yuji just lays outside with his sunglasses (yes Y/N bought a baby sunglasses and he doesn't regret it) and Kazuha just seems to enjoy the excuse to eat more ice cream.
Recently the family took a trip to a public pool which was an adventure in its own regard, the two eldest children spent the majority of their time on the slides and Tomoko spent a good portion of her time trying to get Y/N to look after Yuji so she could go on the slides as well, she certainly wouldn't be winning any mother of the year awards any time soon. While shenanigans ensued where the mother was almost mistaken for an elder sister due to her enthusiasm for the slides, Y/N and his youngest child just sat in the kids pool wearing sunglasses, yes both of them, ever since Yuji wore those things he'd cry whenever he didn't have them.
By the end of the that day everyone had been throughly exhausted, some physically while the others mentally, still it proved be an enjoyable experience for all involved. More recently Tomoko had left the house as the UA summer training camp would start soon so her and the rest of the Wild, Wild Pussycats were setting it up before the students arrival, although with all of them busy Shino was concerned for Kota and because of how UA were desperately trying to keep the location of the camp a secret to avoid anymore villain attacks, she couldn't hire a regular babysitter out of concern of the location being leaked, usually Kota would stay at the L/N house during this period but after a surprising call from UA it would instead be the L/N's all heading there this year.
The principal of UA seemed awfully enthusiastic about having the hero Inquisitive on standby at the camp, the reason for which being known only among the UA staff that the Principal had seen how Y/N's quirk effected the League of Villain's Nomu in Hosu, so the conclusion was if the villains did somehow learn the camps location and deployed more Nomu there, Inquisitive could deal with them. Although due to the suddenness of this decision Y/N and family would be arriving the same day as the students, which was fine since his presence wasn't mandatory for the camp to run.
Currently Y/N was driving with his children to the location, Yuji was in the seat next to him upfront and Kazuha and Kotori were behind him, Y/N's car was oddly ominous with it being a black SUV with tinted windows so no one could see in, it was basically a stereotypical bad guy car from action movies, his for reason for picking this? If it does scare people they'll probably get out of the way meaning less traffic for him, at least that's what he claims will happen. So far the journey had been trouble free, emphasis on the 'so far' part because...
Kotori: "Are we there yet?" She leans forwards in her seat to the point she was in her dad's peripheral vision
Y/N: "No still an hour or two" he said while keeping his eyes on the road
Kotori: "Oh... can we play a game?" Her brief disappointment was immediately replaced with excitement
This caught Kazuha's attention as he was also getting pretty bored so he wanted something to distract himself
Y/N: "Sure, any ideas?" While he wasn't thrilled to have a distraction while driving he knew the kids were practically dying of boredom
Kotori: "I spy?" She looked around the car to see no one disagreeing with her so she just assumed that was yes
Kotori: "Alrighty I'll go first! I spy with my little eye something beginning with, ummmm, T" she finished with the smuggest smirk possible, she was very proud of what she'd picked apparently
A moment of silence began, Y/N couldn't take his eyes of the road unless he wanted to cut this journey and their lives short, so he just glanced around the front of the car. Yuji started babbling while looking and the car almost as if he was playing and Kazuha was looking around him like it was a life or death situation, needless to say he was very competitive.
Y/N: "Tree?" He was the first to take a shot at it
Kotori: "Nope!" She finished by popping the P, maintaining the same smug look that she'd had since the game began
Yuji: "Ababahaha?" There was an oddly unclear tone in the sounds he made, like he was guessing as well
Kotori: "Silly Yuji, I can't see a Tyrannosaurus rex" apparently she could speak baby and pronounce that name correctly
Kazuha: "Is it in the car?" He wanted to narrow down it was first, if he was gonna guess this he was gonna get it right
Kotori: "Yep! Hehehe" even when giving more details she seemed to get more confidence in herself
And so began the next 3 minutes of guesses and babbling from everyone in the car, they couldn't seem to guess whatever the smug 4 year old was so confident in, she refused to give anymore hints and eventually Kazuha accused her of cheating.
Kotori: "Well, the game is called 'I spy' and I spy something" she had the utmost confidence in her words
Although it didn't make much sense to the other participants, that seemed to make something tick in the eldest son's brain
Kazuha: "Wait! Can we see it?"
Kotori: "Hahaha NOPE!" And now they knew why she was so confident
Kazuha: "What! That's cheating" while he liked when he laughed at someone he wasn't a fan of when it was the other way around
Hearing this caused Y/N to start sweating, he prayed to whatever god was out there they'd get a distraction so they could forget about this, if he tried to make them drop it it might only make this delicate situation worse
Kotori: "Well the games called I spy not WE spy, so only I needed to see it" Smugness intensified, she felt like a genius now
Kazuha: "I- I- what even is it?" Consider him bamboozled
Kotori: "Tic Tac" she pulled a box of said item out of her car door with a wide smile
Now Y/N wasn't a religious man but he might just convert from the absolute divine intervention that just happened, as Kazuha was still recovering the car turned a corner to reveal what would be a great natural way to change topics. In front of the car was a bus with numerous teenagers in school uniforms standing outside it, also a hobo for some reason.
Now for a change of perspective to everyone's favourite magnet for villains, class 1A of UA...
The troublemakers had just gotten off the bus to stretch their legs and Mineta was currently running around desperately trying to find somewhere to relive his bladder, while they all enjoyed some fresh air their teacher Shota Aizawa tensed up as he saw a suspicious looking vehicle that stopped just around the corner the bus had just turned, while he doubted villains would just turn up like this it didn't hurt to be prepared.
Just then the black car which was already parked ahead of the bus opened up and two female hero began introducing themselves despite missing half their team, after their introduction Midoriya began to give some facts about the team they're in only to be silenced when the blonde hero Pixie Bob covered his face with an oversized paw like glove to face. With that over Aizawa asked his class to greet the duo before then addressing his concerns about a menacing vehicle that hadn't moved since he'd seen it.
Aizawa: "Before we go any further there's something I've gotta check, Mandalay, got an idea who that is?" This drew all the eyes of those present as he gestured with his head in the direction of SUV which was now being looked at by everyone
The sight of the car drew a few different reactions, among the class there were some that were scared and tense, others that were curious and one was ready to blow it up at a moments notice (I'll leave it a mystery as to who that is), but for those who didn't frequent UA they had their own reactions with the two heroes seemingly recognising it and the unnamed child to the side seemed excited to see it, of course the students eyes didn't see this as they were focused on the motionless vehicle.
Mandalay: "Oh yeah, I was wondering when they'd turn up" she didn't show any nervousness so the class calmed themselves
Although with how vague she spoke they still had no idea as to who it was only that they were supposed to be here, Midoriya though took a guess at it being the other members of the Wild, Wild Pussycats and prepared for a round two of hero nerding. Now having been noticed whoever was driving the suspicious looking car started to drive forward before turning as it got close so the driver's window was now facing the group.
As silence ensued and tensions rose again with lack of movement of the vehicle some students turned to the teachers for reassurance, Aizawa seemed to have come to a realisation and dropped his guard while the Pussycats both had raised eyebrows in curiosity, whatever was going on they didn't expect it. Unknown to the students some shuffling was taking place inside as a certain item was passed to each of the occupants before an adult males voice spoke with authority.
Man: "Ready?" Whoever was speaking was taking this very seriously
In response three voices were heard
???/???/???: "Yes"/"Hn"/"Gah"
The first was that of a young boy, the second an even younger girl and the third was that of a baby
Back outside a few seconds after this scene all eyes were on the driver's side window as it came down to reveal who was on the other side, to the surprise of everyone there wasn't one head, not two or three but four heads all visible by the now lowered window, all wearing sunglasses. From the perspective of those outside the top left of the window had a baby in sunglasses with a few green hairs on its head, the top right had a young girl with the same green hair as the baby, in the bottom left was an older boy with H/C coloured hair and the final one was a man who shared the same hair colour as the boy, all four had perfectly still faces showing no emotions with their sunglasses on.
Despite three of the four heads being younger than them the class didn't feel any calmer seeing them, why did those kids have such serious faces? Was it just one person with a quirk that gave them multiple heads? Once again the tension was broken, this time by the green haired girl who's face was starting to go red and her cheeks inflated, a few moments of her head bouncing up and down had her final burst out in laughter, those from UA were confused while the Pussycats plus child got a chuckle out of this. Eventually the other individuals gave in with next being the H/C boy who just chuckled at this, then the man who sighed with smile resting his chin on the open window and surprisingly the baby held out longest who eventually started being baby again by letting out unknown noises.
All of the heroes in training now had dropped their suspicions, some found the sight humours, those of the social inept ones didn't understand and the edge lords continued their edging. Soon three of the four were out of the car with the two children stood beside the man while baby stayed in the car, they all refused to remove their sunglasses, they found confusing the teens fun.
Mandalay: "Hey! Y/N! Glad you made it, we were starting to wonder if you'd ever turn up" she waved to the man identifying him as Y/N
The one in question just gave a salute as a greeting as the young girl made her way around the students to the boy with the red cap who for the first time since he appeared didn't have a frown on his face, it wasn't quite a smile yet but it was progress. Some students turned to their teacher wordlessly asking who this was, while some weren't so wordless...
Iida: "Mr Aizawa sir, do you know who this is?" If the air was 'the chase' then he certainly 'cutting to it' (see what I did there?)
There were a few nods following the class reps questions and the black haired hero sighed before giving an introduction
Aizawa: "The principal thought beefing up security would be a decent idea, and while I don't find it logical the security will be playing babysitter to his kids while I'm doing the same to all of you, regardless he's here in case of an emergency, anyways everyone say hello Y/N L/N or most commonly known as the hero Inquisitive, Japan's current rank twenty eighth hero" he didn't get payed enough to do peoples introductions for them
There were differing reactions, the most common was varying levels of excitement at having a fairly high ranking pro at their training camp which may help them in said training, some of the more unique reactions were from a green haired boy as well as a red and white haired one, recalling their brief interactions with this hero, another being from a spiky blonde who thought of this as...
...Just another extra...
...and the last was from a tall bespectacled blue haired teen who felt ashamed he couldn't recognise the hero he interning with that he'd gone from feeling animosity towards to respect. Something to note, over Iida's brief internship he never saw Inquisitive remove his helmet so seeing it now was a first for him.
With their initial reactions out of the way mummers began being to be heard around the class with their topic being the new addition to the training camp, their teacher wasn't a fan of this so he put a stop to the chatter by activating his quirk, while this didn't actually do much to the students it was known by now to be a sign to shut up. With this the man who looked homeless let out a tired sigh before nodding to Mandalay who seemed to get what he was trying to communicate,the cat themed hero then let out a fake cough to catch all of the teens' attention gesturing to off into the distance informing the students of the actual location of the camp.
By the time the young heroes figured out what was happening it was to late as Pixie Bob had already started using her quirk sending them all down the cliff, while all this happening the son of Inquisitive was recording the scene on his Dad's phone that he asked to borrow, during this he began to cheer the blonde on, although he did so in his own way
Now back to our regularly schedule perspective of a chaotic family
Kazuha: "Wooooo keep going granny!" He pumped a first in their in excitement
Despite the screams of 1A Ryuko heard this comment, a nickname Kazuha had given her and which never failed to get on her nerves, so seeing an opportunity for her own petty revenge against the child she added a new target to her quirk. Before he had anytime to react the ground beneath the boy's feet began to move, taking him towards the cliff edge where he'd land with the rest of the students, however before he could fully fall he felt a large hand grab his own as he dangled of the ledge.
A glance upwards revealed it to be his dad, he was about to pull him back up when a voice was heard behind him
Ryuko: "Y/N please? He keeps calling me granny!" She wined while somehow being the least mature of all those remaining on the cliff
Now Y/N had a choice, side with his son who he loved and has raised since the day he was born, or his wife's teammate who was still his friend, the decision seemed obvious...
That was until Y/N thought he could make a funny reference that would be worth being scolded by his wife over, besides he trusted Ryuko enough that she wouldn't let harm befall the boy, just make him skip lunch with the rest of students.
Kazuha had begun to sweat at his father's indecisiveness, but that all disappeared when he felt himself get pulled up, with a smile on his face his eyes met Y/N's which only caused his nervousness to return seeing the smile he had. Y/N pried his phone that was still in his son's hand free, before pulling him closer so they could clearly see each other's eyes as he spoke.
Y/N: "Long live the king" trying to hold back a villainous chuckle only made his smile wider
Hearing these words Kazuha panicked, he knew this reference and desperately shook his head before he dramatically fell downwards, expecting a steep fall he instead gently slid down till he was s among class 1A at the edge of the forrest. This was all followed by Shino calling down to the students and introducing them to 'The Beast's Forest' (those trees Jimmy planted really came in handy) although she was quickly joined by Ryuko who had to improvised an excuse about the classes plus one.
Ryuko: "O-oh and of course you heroes aren't always alone out there so you'll have to protect our volunteer who'll be your VIP, if he comes back with so much as scratch you can kiss your food goodbye" leaning over the railing she quickly retreated trying hide her giggling
The students and their "volunteer" soon began making their way through the forest, back up top though everyone was staring at Ryuko, Shino had a 'really?' look on her face, Kotori and Kota just went right back into their own conversation, Aizawa shrugged throwing kids of cliffs was Tuesday for him and Y/N shifted focus to the recording on his phone. So really only Shino cared right now, which baffled her as Ryuko briefly escaped a scolding.
Shino: "'Long live the king' really?" Her target was now Y/N
In response the man only shrugged
Y/N: "Ryuko threw him off, she's the one who's gonna have to explain to Tomoko what happened to our son" he really wasn't perturbed by this
Shino then went on to mentally question his logic but in the end decided against speaking out, she dealt with him enough to know questioning him would only leave more questions than answers. While this was going on, behind Shino a blonde was trying to tip toe away from the situation and her responsibilities, although that came to an end when her teammate caught her by the arm with a threatening smile on her face.
Shino: "Nothing will happen to my nephew down there RIGHT?" Y/N's voice modifier would be jealous on the intensity with which she spoke
Ryuko: "O-o-of course! None of the beasties will even touch him!" The fear was evident as she spoke, desperately trying to reassure her teammate
Y/N: "Hey Shino, we both know Ryuko, she's petty but she isn't that petty" his voice came over the woman he named's shoulder
Shino: "Yeahhhhh" she rubbed her forehead seemingly already exhausted
While this happened a "Hey!" was heard (In Lego City) from Ryuko who was apparently offended by the remark, the three friends went in different directions as each had their own things to do, Shino spoke to Aizawa about the training camp, Ryuko used her headset to monitor the forest for where she could use her quirk and Y/N went over to the kids.
Y/N: "Hey! Tori! Looks like Kazuha's walking, so you ready to roll out?"
Kotori: "Actually daddy can I go with Kota?"
He didn't have any problems with it so he agreed to the request, besides he could get some peace and quiet in the car if he used his quirk to keep Yuji quiet
Now down to the forest where Kazuha, 19 people taller than him and Mineta were, the class were quickly learning what type of kid he was...
Kazuha: "Hey you're nearly twice as old as me but I'm taller? Man I hope that's your quirk making you short or you're in for a rough time" he was currently comparing his height to the shortest there, which he had over an entire head over
Kazuha: "You're the one who breaks his bones every time you use your quirk right? Having Osteoporosis must suck" poor broccoli
Kazuha: "You eat sugar and get stronger? That's like reverse diabetes" Poor 'that one guy who's only relevant when he wins that dorm competition'
And so the class would advance as their physical durability was tested by Pixie Bob and their mental durability by Inquisitive's son, several times they had to hold back Bakugo from attacking him physically or verbally, while remembering the Pussycats' words about what would happen to their food if they let it happen. Hours later they finally found a clearing with a building and were relieved to see a light at the end of the tunnel, meanwhile Kazuha just skipped past them to find some food, he wasn't tired all, just a bit hungry plus if the students saw he was fine while they were struggling then that'd be a fun sight to see.
As he approached he saw the hobo, aunt Shino, grandma Ryuko, Kota and Kotori, he was curious where he dad was so he can get back at him, while he enjoyed the reference he held grudges over pretty much everything, as he approached he eyed Shino then their surroundings wordlessly asking a question which she caught onto to
Shino: "Your dad learnt that telling your wife you threw your son off of a cliff isn't a good idea, don't worry he'll recover soon, and 'grandma' will get her punishment when the camps over, she's still gotta work tomorrow"
He didn't know what he was "recovering" from but just accepted it and went it to find some food while smirking at Ryuko, Kotori on the other hand had her conversation with Kota stop when the students appeared, she knew his opinion on heroes so she worried about how this would go, emphasis on 'was' as when she saw a blonde among the crowd her mind was already somewhere else, it was 'boom boy' from the sports festival. She turned her head to Kota to see if he would mind her saying hi, he didn't voice any opposition she assumed it was fine, she soon found herself stood in front of Bakugo staring up at him while he and everyone around him had yet to notice the girl who'd infiltrated 1A.
She didn't move, only blinked getting a good look at him, it would be embarrassing if she got the wrong person, that'd happened before when she mistook another green haired woman as her mother, while her beady yellow eyes gazed upwards a few things happened where Kota was killing off future generations in one punch and 'boom boy' spoke with someone he called "icy hot". "Icy hot" was the first to notice the girl as Bakugo was yelling at him, drawing attention to the girl they'd all seen before their involuntary trip down a cliff.
Todoroki: "Bakugo" he was proving his 'icy' title with his cold tone
Bakugo: "Eh!? What now icy hot!?" Somehow some of his explosions were quieter than his voice
Seeing he had his attention Todoroki just pointed to the girl behind Bakugo who was just looking up at him with a smile, a pretty creepy smile but still a smile. The Pomeranian himself followed the finger and saw the same sight everyone in 1A (who didn't just have their reproductive organs punched) was looking, the red and yellow orbs met as the two stared at one another, Bakugo not expecting this just blinked in confusion, although he would regret that.
Kotori: "Ha you blinked! I win! Hi boom boy it's nice to meet you! You were so cool at the sports festival! You just kept going 'BOOM BOOM BOOM' and 'DIE DIE DIE' hehehe..." she didn't stop there, but so the author can save themselves the trouble of writing a paragraphs worth they'll leave it there, you've got enough to get an idea of what's happening
The usually aggressive teen was taken even further aback by this, what the hell is up with this brat? Oh well in typical Bakugo fashion he wouldn't hold his words back, even against kids like this
Bakugo: "Oi Chatterbox! Get out of my way, I'm hungry and you're in my way" to finish his threat, despite his exhaustion he let of a few small explosions, although you could probably call them sparkles
His classmates around him knew he was tired but he didn't have to go that far against a kid! They were all preparing to comfort a crying child from the harsh words spoken, but much to all of their confusion that wasn't what happened, rather...
Kotori: "Hahahahahaha! Ah even now you're like that, sorry for getting in your way, I haven't had dinner and momma's still punishing daddy so can I eat with you?" She had stepped aside to let him walk with a smile almost mirroring All Might
To say they were shocked would be an understatement, but the most surprised among them was the one who previously spoke, kids were supposed to run and cry when he yelled, not to ask to eat with him, hell even Deku still ran away when he was like that, he found it funny this green haired brat had more spunk than the one he's known all his life. Seeing the kind of kid this was he knew she would probably be more annoying to turn down so he just tried to deal with it so he could go eat.
Bakugo: "Grr just don't get in my way, that H/C haired gremlin ticked me off enough already" finishing with a scoff he just started walking ahead
Kotori: "Oh yeah, he does that but he's pretty funny" and she just followed him as if nothing was wrong
The class didn't know what to feel, fear for the girl's safety or fear of the girl for seemingly taming Bakugo so quickly, one thing was for sure it would be interesting whenever those two will interact. They all went on to go eat or more accurately devour whatever the Pussycats put in front of them, a few spared glances to Kotori who was still with Bakugo and surprisingly not dead, hey that has to be some kind of record right? While she occasionally asked him questions while they ate, he seemed to actually answer them although while in his usual loud style, he wasn't bothered by it, they didn't know if he was just to focused on eating or if he genuinely didn't mind but things were too going well so far.
As the day came to an end the L/N's reunited when the class went off to relax, Kotori and Kazuha discussed their interactions with 1A with a baby in the background, Tomoko was a bit tired as she and Yawara were giving the introductions to 1B while Shino and Ryuko had 1A and finally Y/N was alive? Maybe? He looked like he suffered only mentally and not physically and the kids were too afraid to ask what happened. Due to the limited vacancy with having two classes taking up larger rooms the family of 5 all had to share a room together and after a day where their levels of exhaustion varied between them they were all tired out and soon got some sleep.
Somewhere...
A bald scientist looked over the information of someone named Y/N L/N, his master had informed him of what happened in Hosu with his Nomu so he had to get to work to discover what happened them, having the details of L/N's quirk he realised the problem. The quirk gave someone thoughts, the low level Nomu's brains were meant to suppress all free will and be mindless drones, so when the quirk was used the modifications that suppressed thought attacked the brain to deal with these thoughts essentially having the Nomu's own design be the cause of its destruction, a self destruction.
The revelation brought with it relief and trouble, relief that the high end Nomu wouldn't have such a problem as they were capable of their own thoughts, so the quirk would just distract them and nothing else, the master would be glad to know he wouldn't loose Tomura because Kurogiri's programming failed, although there was the question of if he used the quirk on Kurogiri who would it effect, the programmed Kurogiri or whatever is left of Shirakumo, that was his name wasn't it...
Oh well
The trouble being he'd have to now change the low level Nomu's design so they didn't fail because of that simple quirk, he'll have to get to work on that and he could probably get a fix ready in a week, the ones in Kamino would have to be first so he didn't have to deal with Tomura's whining. Although he could suggest the simple solution, he didn't know if the master had other plans for L/N, regardless that's not something for him to worry about now.
But L/N, specifically Y/N L/N, he had to go and ruin the things he worked so hard on, all that work nearly swept away by one person, that couldn't be allowed to happen...
Hehehe...
Well he wasn't one for grudges but maybe just this once wouldn't hurt...
He did the same for Tomura so doing so for himself wouldn't cause too much trouble...
Tomura wanted a Nomu designed to kill All Might...
So he'll make a Nomu...
