NORMAL POV
Everyone except Sonic was preparing for Sonica's birthday party. Sonica was still laying on the hospital bed, unconscious. Sonic was beside her, holding her hand softly. Shadow was forced to go with the others to help in the decorations and other stuffs.
Then, Sonica's wounds started to glow light blue. Sonic eyes widened a bit but he kept holding her hand. "What is happening?" He thought to himself.
Then slowly the glow faded away and all of her wounds were healed. Sonic rubbed his eyes in disbelief. Then, Sonica slowly opened her eyes.
"Sonica!" He had a very bright smile on his face.
Sonica looked at Sonic, "Sonic.." she said as she sat up slowly and Sonic helped her.
"You have to rest.." said Sonic.
She slowly got off the bed saying, "No.. I am fine. I want to go home.."
Sonic sighed and picked her up in his arms. She looked up at him and said, "I am okay..."
Sonic kissed her forehead and started to carry her home. Sonica sighed softly and buried her face in Sonic's chest while keeping her eyes closed. Sonic smiled slightly and continued to walk. But Sonica was scared and worried because she knew it was her birthday today. And...during her birthdays, you know what happens. She had hoped that no one would remember her birthday but...
SONIC'S POV
Why does she always act like she is okay? I looked down at her as she had closed her eyes, her breath was soft and calm. I couldn't help but smile. Then, I realized that she was asleep so quickly. I continued to walk her home. Then, she mumbled something in her sleep, making me chuckle quietly. Soon, I reached her house. All of us had planned the party at her house only. They knew that I was bringing her now. I quietly opened the door with my leg because I was holding Sonica in my arms.
Amy, Shadow, Sticks, Knuckles and Tails looked at us.
"Is she still asleep?" whispered Amy.
I nodded and looked down at her with a small smile. "Have you finished everything?" I asked quietly, not wanting to wake her up.
"No. Still some decorations left. Let her sleep. Everything will be ready before she wakes up." replied Tails.
I nodded.
"And we have a surprise for you, Sonic." said Amy. I looked at her.
"What? Surprise for me? But it's her birthday today, not mine." I said.
They chuckled then Sticks blindfolded me from behind.
"H-hey.. Take that off." I couldn't do anything because Sonica was still in my arms.
Then, someone took the blindfold off of me and my eyes widened after whom I saw. I-I saw...my mom!!!. After so many years...I saw her.. She smiled and walked closer to me, Manic and Sonia followed behind her.
"M-Mom.." I said as tears rolled down my cheeks.
Everyone except my mom was shocked.
"Shh.. I am here now, my dear.." She said as she wiped my tears with her thumbs.
"Mom...I..I don't know what to say.. I-I missed you so much, mom..." I looked at her then at my siblings.
She softly stroked my quills and smiled, "I know, honey.. I missed you too. So I came to meet you and your friend, Tails suggested to give you a surprise." I looked at Tails as he grinned and scratched his head.
Then, she looked down at Sonica in my arms. I started to blush as I saw Manic and Sonia smirking.
"Is she Sonica?" asked my mom.
I looked at her, surprised.
"How did you..-" Manic cut me off and said, "We told her." He smirked wider.
I glared at both of my siblings. My mom just smiled and kissed my forehead. It felt too good, really too tooo good!! I smiled and carried Sonica to her bedroom and gently loed her down on the bed. I slowly pulled the bedsheets over her.
"So..nic.." she mumbled in her sleep.
I smiled and softly kissed her forehead, then everyone was like "Awww."
I bite my bottom lip and scratched my head as I was blushing. Amy whispered something in my mom's ear and she chuckled softly while looking at me. I blushed more and glanced at Sonica. "O-okay, let's get everything ready now." I said while blushing.
They chuckled and nodded.
"But where's Silver? I haven't seen him since the last 2 days." said Amy.
"He said he has some work so he went back in the future.." replied Tails.
"Aw, I really wish he could enjoy the party with us." said Amy.
"Yeah. Now, let's get everything ready. She might wake up any moment." I said and they nodded.
- Time skip -
Everything was ready now. The decorations looked amazing!! Even the cake looked amazing!! I smiled brightly while looking around the room.
"I will go check if she is awake." I said and quickly ran to her bedroom.
She was still asleep and mumbling incoherently. I chuckled quietly and I looked down at her. I smiled softly and slowly traced her bottom lip with my thumb. I leaned down slowly but then she started to wake up and I pulled away quickly. I quickly and quietly ran to the others.
"She is awake." I whispered.
Everyone nodded and turned off the lights. This was going to be amazing!!
SONICA'S POV
I yawned and got off the bed slowly. "Today's your birthday, Sonica. Try to keep your emotions in check." I said to myself and stretched a bit.
But why was here so dark.. I remember falling asleep in Sonic's arms but here is no one now... I snapped my fingers, making a fireball appear in my hand to make the room a bit brighter. I could used my thunder (lightning/electricity) power to bring the lights back on but for that I needed to find the main fuse box first.
I quietly walked to the living room with the fireball on my hand, making my path clear. But as soon as I entered the room..
"SURPRISE!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SONICA!!!"
I was startled.
All of a sudden the lights were back on and I quickly closed my fist to make the fireball disppear. I saw Sonic, Amy, Shadow, Tails, Stick, Manic, Sonia and Q-
"Oh, Sonica! Happy happy birthday!" said Amy as she hugged me.
"Happy birthday!" Everyone started to say.
I looked around the room and saw the decorations... All these...for me..?
"Happy birthday, Sonica..." I heard Sonic's soft voice as he smiled at me.
"Thankyou, everyone... I hadn't expected this.." I said with a soft smile.
Then, Sonic walked towards me with...
"And Sonica, meet my m-" I cut off Sonic and quickly bowed down on one knee and said, "Your highness, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Sonic was surprised. She gently held my shoulders and made me stand up.
"You are just like your brother." She said and smiled.
The others chuckled, I looked at Shadow who rolled his eyes.
"Shadow had also bowed down and said the same words like you did." said Sticks.
Now, I understood.
"Your highness.." I said quietly.
"You can call me Mom too." She smiled and softly stroked my cheek.
What..? A-All of a sudden... I-I had never even called Professor as dad.. How am I supposed to call her...
"M-mom.." I whispered and I felt tears rolling down my cheeks but I quickly wiped them off.
"Oh, sweetie. It's okay." She wrapped her arms around me, I sniffled and closed my eyes.
So, this is what it feels like to have a mother... It felt so good.. The others just smiled.
"Wait, if Sonica can now call mom "mom" then...she is our sister now, right Sonic?" said Manic as he smirked at Sonic.
And Sonic face was flushed red. "No! She is not my sister!" He shouted.
Everyone laughed except me.. I also did not want to be his sister..
"If Sonic does not want her to be his sister then what's the problem?" said Queen Aleena as she kissed my forehead.
I really wish she was my real mom...
"I wish you were my daughter.. Your friends told me about that space colony ark and experiments.." she smiled softly.
I couldn't help but hug her very tightly.
"Don't worry, mom. She will soon be your daughter-in-law." said Manic with a smirk and Sonic nudged his stomach very hard.
"Daughter-in-law?" said Queen Aleena as she looked at Sonic.
Everyone chuckled. He was blushing and so was I.
"Now, let's begin the partyy!!" said Sticks and everyone was like "Yayy!!"
But not me.
"But where is Silver and Dr. Eggman?" I asked.
Everyone looked at me, confused.
"Inviting Silver was okay but Dr. Eggman?!" said Sonic.
"He had invited us in his party too. Anyways, it's my party and I want to invite him." I crossed my arms.
Shadow pinched my cheek softly and said, "Okay, my little Chaos."
Then he teleported to Eggman's Lair, I guess.. Sonic just looked at me and chuckled.
"What?" I asked.
"Little Chaos?" He chuckled again.
I blushed slightly and looked away, "That was my experimental name.."
Everyone chuckled.
"You are cute though..." he whispered and kissed my cheek, making me blush more.
Then, Shadow appeared with Eggman, Orbot and Cubot.
"Happy birthday, Sonica, thankyou for inviting us too." said Eggman as he shook his hand with mine.
I chuckled softly, "Thankyou, Dr. Eggman."
Sonic was confused because I chuckled.
"Oh, and Queen Aleena. You are Sonic's mom, right? I am not able to defeat that blue pest till now." He muttered the last line.
I chuckled again.
"Well, let's start the party now." said Tails and everyone nodded.
I still wanted to see Silver though... He seems like a small child to me..
Then, Amy and Tails turned on the music.
"Let the fun begin!!" shouted Sticks, I chuckled softly.
Then, Sonic put a birthday hat in my head. I looked at him, he chuckled. Then, the party began. They started dancing, drinking drinks, talking and other things. But I started laughing when I found out that Eggman had brought a few bottles of wine with him. I really wanted to drink it but Sonic and Shadow didn't let me. I still tried to reach for the wine but they stopped me. Great...
Then, I talked to Sonic's mom for a while. She was so nice! But then...I felt a strange energy in me. And I know what it was. My powers were about to blow up.
"Sonica, what's happening to your fur?" asked Sonic.
Oh no.. I didn't even pay attention to my fur.. It was turning dark blue..
"N-Nothing.. I-I will be back in a minute." I quickly ran to the washroom and locked the door.
I leaned against the wall and looked down at my hands. My heart was racing. Fireball, waterball, snowball and electric sparks firmed in my hands. I knew this was going to happen!!
I fell down on my knees as my fur got darker and darker. My powers were feeling like they were gonna explode. Thanks to the loud music, no one could hear my whimpers. I looked down at my hands which were now covered in dark shadowy aura.. I tried to calm down.. and I curled up into a ball. I whimpered, my body was shaking. Then, I felt a bunch of leaves around me. I uncurled and I saw it was Key! I tightly held onto Key's branch.
"K-key.." I whimpered.
"Sonica..?" Sonic knocked on the door.
"I-I am coming. G-Go for a while.." I said, while trying to sound okay.
Then, Key dropped a fruit but it was...blue... I looked at Key.
"I-Is it for me?" I slowly took a bite of the fruit and surprisingly, I felt my power level calming down. My fur was also got back to normal.
Oh, I was so so so thankful to Key!! I quickly got up. Then Key took his branch back out of the window. I quietly opened the door.
"Still trying to keep a secret?" said Shadow while leaning against the wall, his arms were crossed over his chest.
I looked at him and shook my head. I felt calm than before, thanks to Key.
"Sonica, are you okay?" Sonic asked.
I nodded.
"Time to cut the cake!!" shouted Knuckles as he picked me up with one hand and placed me on his shoulder. I chuckled but Sonic crossed his arms.
"But where's Silver?" I asked as Knuckles put me down again.
"Um.." Sonic rubbed the back of his neck.
"I-I am here. I am here!" Silver jumped out of the portal, his fur looked so dusty...as if...he had fought in the soil..
"H-Happy birthday, Sonica. S-Sorry, I am late.." he looked down, his hands were behind his back.
"It's okay. Glad you are here." I said with a smile.
"Now let's cut the cake." said Silver.
Everyone nodded eagerly and Sonic covered my eyes with his hands. I chuckled quietly. And when he removed his hands, my eyes went wide. I saw a five tier cake! It was so huge!! And on the top there was a small blue hedgehog, like me!! It was made of sugar!!
"Happy birthday, my Sonica.." Sonic whispered in my ear.
I was about to thank him but then I paused. Did he just say "my Sonica"?
"Time to cut the cake!!" said Amy as she handed me a knife.
I looked at everyone then at the cake. I nodded eagerly while biting my lip. Sonic and Shadow chuckled as they knew how excited I was. But then... I felt like someone was watching me. I quickly glanced around and saw a pair of blue eyes out of the window. I sighed as I knew who it was.
"Make a wish and blow the candles!" said Tails.
I brought my focus back to the cake and I closed my eyes.
"I wish that the people I have will always be happy even after I will be gone.." I thought to myself and blew the candle.
Everyone cheered. I smiled and I started to cut the cake while everyone was singing the birthday song. But it felt a bit...awkward as it was my first time with so many people..
Eveyone clapped and cheered after I cut a slice of cake, I carefully picked the slice and I fed it to Queen Aleena. After that, I fed everyone one by one but I intentionally did not feed Sonic. He had a confused cute look on his face. I chuckled and I picked up another slice of cake. I slowly took the slice near Sonic's mouth but I quickly pulled my hand back when he was about to take a bite. I chuckled again.
He smirked and said, "Very funny." Then, he grabbed my wrist and quickly ate whole the slice. I chuckled but I stopped chuckling when he licked my fingers. He was the one to chuckle now.
"Time for the presents!" said Eggman.
Wait..he had brought gift too? W-wait.. everyone had brought a gift! T-This was s-so.. so... you know.. so...new.. for me.
"Wait, before the presents can we eat the cake first?" said Knuckles.
Aww, Knuckles. I chuckled softly. Then, Amy and Shadow started to distribute everyone a plate of cake, including me. I looked down at the cake on my plate. Then, I walked to Amy and Shadow.
"Can I cut some slices by myself?" I asked.
"Of course." Amy handed me the knife.
I cut a few slices, bigger than before. Then, I carefully put them on a plate.
"For whom are these?" asked Shadow.
I looked down at the cake and replied, "Someone..." Then, I walked out of the room without looking back.
I quietly stepped outside the house and walked towards the bush.
"Hey... I have brought some cake for you...Scourge. It's okay, I forgive you.. We can be friends again.." I said in a soft tone.
He popped out of the bush and asked, "But why.." his voice was also softer than I expected.
"Because it wasn't not your fault. I know you won't come in because of the others. So, I brought you some cake here." I smiled softly and handed him the plate.
He looked at the cake then at me and bit his bottom lip.
"Soni... Till now I hated you.. but you.. you are just the nicest person I have ever met.." he finally smiled. "Here, it's not so nice but I wanted to give you this.. Happy birthday.." he smiled and handed me a black leathered bracelet.
I looked down at the bracelet while he was eating the cake. I chuckled softly and kissed his forehead, "Thankyou, Scourge.."
He smiled and winked, "No prob, Soni. I should get going now. Thankyou for the cake. And happy birthday."
He handed me the plate and ran into the forest. He disappeared within a few seconds.. I smiled and put on the bracelet and walked back inside the house. I would be more glad if he had stayed..
"Someone, huh?" said Shadow while leaning at the doorframe.
"Umm...." I looked down, trying to think what to say.
"Don't worry. You did a nice thing." He ruffled my quills. I smiled softly and nodded.
"Now it's time for the presents!!" said Sticks.
We chuckled and walked towards them. This was really the best birthday ever...
