Austin and I spent about an hour in the airport, going through security checks and getting our bags checked, but we boarded the plane just in time. One thing I like about Austin is how humble he is. While going through customs we spent the majority of our time talking to fans, some of me and some of him, and never once was he annoyed. He's so thankful for every one of them and is happy to talk to them for however long they want, and he probably would have stayed longer to talk if we didn't have a flight to board.
Both of us have some work to get done before we get to France, which we're considering a vacation since we will only be at the festival for two days, May 25 and 26. I'm currently on my laptop going through the rough photos I've been sent from the shoot, deciding what I want to be retouched to use, and Austin has been emailing his manager, deciding what his next move is. They're discussing magazine covers, new movies, and how to fit them in his schedule around the "Elvis" red carpet premieres.
I finally choose the cover, and other photos I will use for singles and promo, but only an hour has passed. We're supposed to be on the flight for many, many more hours. I spend a few of them sleeping on Austin's shoulder, but eventually I don't think I can sleep anymore.
After spending over 20 minutes trying to find something to watch, Austin and I settle on a Marilyn Monroe documentary he found on Netflix. That keeps us busy for about 2 hours before we need to find something else to watch.
"I have something you'll really like," I tell Austin, trying to keep myself from giggling.
"Okay, here," he says, nonchalantly, while handing me his phone. I search his phone, but can't find the app I need.
"You don't have Disney Plus?" I act shocked.
He gives me a confused look, "I'm a thirty year-old man. What do I need Disney Plus for?" I scoff, before opening up my laptop and pulling up the movie I was looking for.
"You need Disney Plus for this." I smile.
"No, Isla. I am not watching this. It's so embarrassing," he says, cheeks turning red.
"Pleaseeee," I drag out the word. "I've never seen it." I bat my eyelashes and grin at him.
"Fine. But after this time, you're never allowed to watch it again."
"Deal." I press a kiss to his lips, hand him an Airpod, and press play on "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure."
