*Third Person POV*
"She was supposed to outlive all of us" Tony said quietly, the group looking at the coffin as Pietro and Sam sobbed.
"Welcome everyone" Frigga greeted into the microphone, silent tears rolling down her cheeks. "It is tradition for a close family member of the deceased to speak at their funeral, and as my son is in no state to do so, I am here to fill in for him."
Loki in question was standing off to the side, hands behind his back, his face impassive. He'd refused any offers to sit, his body as rigid as a statue.
"Y/n L/n was declared dead two days ago after defending this city from the criminal association known as Hydra" the Queen began, her voice wavering. "She was in pursuit when a bomb was thrown under the vehicle she and my son were in, causing it to be thrown backwards. On impact- I'm sorry."
Her voice cracked before she stepped back, Thor taking her place as Odin hugged her.
"On impact" the God continued, sniffling slightly. "The car landed on its roof, causing her head to slam into the pavement. She was in a coma for just over ten minutes before passing away, N/n was the wife of my brother, my sister. We can never fill the hole that her passing has left in our family, but I know she will always watch over us from Valhalla" he finished, wiping his eyes. "Farewell sister."
"Loki, do you want to speak?" Odin asked quietly.
The God moved for the first time in two hours, walking quietly up to the podium.
"I don't have anything I would like to share with those whom did know Y/n personally" he began, his voice stiff. "The Avengers and my family have heard what I have to say, and that's all that matters. However, I am aware of the four Hydra agents who sit among us, tasked with returning to their leader with the confirmation of the death of my wife. Make sure to tell them, I will kill you all."
The crowd murmured nervously, looking around as the God walked off again, returning to his original position.
Nat stood up to speak, taking the place in front of the microphone.
"I've spent almost everyday of my life around Y/n for the past few years" she said. "And it's only been two days since she died, and I can already see the effect that has had on our team. N/n was one of us, she always will be. She brightened every room she entered, and I truly loved her like I do my sister Yelena. I will miss her forever. Rest In Peace N/n, you will be avenged-"
Suddenly there was crash as someone fell through the ceiling, landing on their feet in the corner holding someone by the collar of their shirt.
"Morning fuckers" she smirked, throwing the unconscious agent to the side. "Miss me?"
"Y/n?" Loki whispered in shock.
"Excellent observation" she grinned, pulling out two daggers and teleporting over to a couple in the corner who pulled out weapons of their own. "Always have to make an entrance."
"What's going on?!"
"I'm being cool, let me have my moment" she replied, finishing off the last Hydra agent.
The team looked over at Loki, who had frozen in place, staring at her.
"Let's get this lot out" Bruce whispered to Nat, the two of them holding off their time for a reunion with her to give Loki some time.
"Y/n?" The God whispered as she ran towards him. "You were-"
"Dead? Turns out it was my body recharging it's magic, which it will do every few years and puts my body into a coma-like state, almost dead."
"Wonderful to know" he grumbled, kissing her as she reached him. "Why the fuck didn't you tell me?!"
"Because I was unconscious?"
"Right, sorry" he sighed, tucking her head under his chin and hugging her tightly. "Norns, I thought I'd lost you forever my love."
"I know, I'm so sorry" she whispered, wiping a tear off Loki's cheek.
A moment later the doors burst open again as the others ran into the room.
"I'm so sorry dearies, I couldn't wait any longer" Frigga burst out, almost tackling her into a hug, the team not far behind.
