After the match between Nhazul and Gladion, the Quarter Finals of the Alola League continued to rage on. Ash battled against Hau, and after a close call due to Rowlet falling asleep, Ash managed to take the win.
After that, Kiawe and Charizard faced off against Sophocles and Vikavolt. with Vikavolt's Wild Charge clashing with Charizard's Supersonic Skystrike Z-Move, Kiawe and Charizard end up on top, overwhelming Vikavolt. In the final match, Lana and Primarina battled Guzma and Golisopod. Despite a valiant effort,
Guzma's brutal fighting style overwhelmed the two,
resulting in Lana's loss. Seeing Guzma brutality beat Lana annoyed Nhazul. After the match, everyone met up with Lana to check on her.
Lama: Everyone...
Nhazul: You we're great out there.
Lana: Thank you...
Serena: How's Primarina?
Lana: The poison is still in effect...
Mallow: Shaymin, Aromatherapy.
Shaymin: Shaymin!
Shaymin proceeded to use Aromatherapy, curing Primarina's poison.
Lana: Thank you.
Mallow: What a relief.
Kiawe: You should still let Nurse Joy take a look at her.
Lana: Yeah. You did well, Primarina.
Lana proceeded to call back Primarina to her Pokéball, as Mallow spoke up.
Mallow: But he was so violent!
Lillie: Yes.
Nhazul: Regardless of how brutal he was, he still fought within the rules. You can't fault him for that.
Lana: Nhazul is right. He fought fair and square...
Ash: He made efficient use of his own moves to win.
Lillie: I still can't approve of such a battling style.
Serena: Yeah.
Lana: We gave it out full power. But our foe was above us. I'll retrain my Pokémon and myself! This only a stepping to becoming a Water Type Pokémon Master!

After leaving the stadium, everyone made their way to the Pokémon center, and they started going over the matches up for the Semi Finals.
Caster: Thank you for waiting! It's time to announce the match ups for the Semi Finals tomorrow! The first match is... Contestants Ash vs Contestant Kiawe!
Sophocles: Ash and Kiawe?!
Ash: Alright! Get ready, Kiawe! I'm not holding back!
Kiawe: Yeah! I should say the same to you!
Lillie: But doesn't that mean...
Caster: The second match will be these two! Contestant Nhazul vs Contestant Guzma!
Everyone looked back at Nhazul shocked.
Lana: Nhazul...
Serena: You're fighting Guzma...
Mallow: Average Lana, Nhazul!
Nhazul just narrowed his eyes.
Nhazul: Tell me something I wasn't already going to do.

It's the next day and the first Semi Finals match concluded with Ash defeating Kiawe with Pikachu, Torracat and Lycanroc in a 3 v 3. Currently, Nhazul was in the back getting ready, adjusting his gloves, while the others were with him.
Mallow: Give it your all, Nhazul!
Nhazul: Yeah.
Kiawe: Don't let your guard down!
Nhazul: Got it.
Lana: You have to beat that guy!
Ash: Yeah! You gotta meet me in the finals!
Nhazul: I will. I don't plan on losing after coming this far.
???: Hold it!
Everyone looked over and saw Team Skull.
Rotom Dex: Team Skull!
Tupp: I can't let that slide! There ain't no way the boss is losing to you!
Rapp: Got that right!
Zipp: You said it, bro!
Tupp: The boss ain't ever lost!
Nhazul: If that's the case, then I'll be the one to break his streak. There's no telling how a battle will go.
Tupp: This one's obvious!
Zipp: The boss'll win, no sweat!
Sophocles: Nhazul will win!
Rapp: No, the boss'll win!
Ash and Sophocles: Nhazul will win!
Tupp: We're telling ya, it'll be the boss!
Serena, Lana and Lillie: It will be Nhazul!
Everyone just glared at each other, another voice could be heard, as it was Plumeria and Guzma walking up.
Plumeria: Drop it!
Tupp: Boss! Yo, listen to this! They were all "You have to beat that guy!" They called you " that guy," Boss! Can ya believe it?! I just wanna wreak their annoying faces!
Nhazul and Guzma proceeded to stare each other down, before Guzma glared at him, walking away without saying a word.
Nhazul: ...

It's now time for the final Semi Finals match and both Nhazul and Guzma made their way way to the battlefield. As they did, everyone was watching from the stands.
Lana: Primarina, let's cheer on Nhazul.
Primarina: Primarina.
From the booth, both Inei and Syluvia looked at Guzma.
Shirona: Guzma... He was friends with Kukui at a point and time, right?
Inei: That's right.
Shirona: He's been tearing his way through this League. Nhazul's in for a real challenge.
Inei: You sound worried.
Shirona just chuckled, looking at Inei.
Shirona: And you don't seemed worried at all.
Inei: ...
Nanu: Same rules as the first match! You both ready?
Nhazul: Yeah.
Both Nhazul and Guzma called out their first Pokémon, Nhazul his Latias and Guzma a Drapion.
Drapion: Drapion!
Latias: Latias!
Guzma narrowed his eyes, seeing Latias.
Nanu: Let the match began!
Guzma: Swords Dance.
Drapion: Drapion!
Using Swords Dance, Drapion raised it's attack by 2x.
Mallow: He's boosting his attack already?!
Ash: He's really trying to beat Nhazul as quickly as possible.
Nhazul: Don't let it build up power! Dragon Claw!
Latias: Latias!
Rushing forward, Latias charged up Dragon Claw.
Guzma: Poison Jab!
Nhazul: Dodge it!
Latias quick moved to the side, using her speed, hitting Drapion in the back. As Drapion attempted to land it's attack, Latias had already flew away.
Guzma: Pin Missile!
Drapion: Drapion!
Using Pin Missile, Drapion started raining down multiple blasts.
Nhazul: Dodge it!
Latias: Latias!
Latias started to fly around the air, dodging the Pin Missile shots.
Nhazul: Latias! Ice Beam!
Dodging the shots, Latias proceeded to use Ice Beam.
Guzma: Block it!
Drapion proceeded to block Ice Beam, crossing guarding with it's arms, but as a result, they froze, shocking everyone.
Serena: He froze Drapion's arms together!
Mallow: Now it can't attack.
Guzma just narrowed his eyes, looking at Drapion.
Guzma: Swords Dance!
Drapion: Drapion!
Drapion proceeded use Swords Dance again, now at 4x.
Kiawe: Again?
Sophocles: But why? Drapion can't attack like that!
Nhazul: I don't know what he's planning, but I don't like him powering up.
Nhazul: Latias, Dragon Claw!
Latiaa: Tias!
Latias diving straight towards Drapion, charging up Dragon Claw. Nhazul then saw Drapion lift up it's frozen arms to defend, but Nhazul saw what he tried to do.
Nhazul: Don't think so. Latias, avoid it's arms!
Latias proceeded to avoid hitting Drapion's arms, hitting it multiple from different angles, dealing tons of damage. Seeing this, Guzma looked at Nhazul annoyed.
Guzma: Swords Dance!
Drapion: Drapion!
For the third time, Drapion uses Swords Dance, now maxing out it's attack.
Serena: A third time?
Lillie: Now Drapion's attack is maxed out...
Mallow: But it can't attack with it's arms frozen.
Lana: That Guzma. He's pretty shrewd. He must have a plan already.
Nhazul's thoughts: He's maxed out. He has to be planing something, but I don't know what. This needs to end now.
Nhazul: Latias, end this with Dragon Claw!
Guzma: Block it!
As Latias dived down, she attacked Drapion from behind, but without warning, she's grabbed by the neck, shocking everyone.
Sophocles: It grabbed her! But how?!
Kiawe: Look!
Everyone saw that Drapion had grabbed Latias by the neck using it's tail.
Rotom Dex: It's tail?!
Ash: That's a normal strategy for most Drapion users... Paul did the same thing to me..
Nhazul's thoughts: Damn it...! I overlooked it's tail...!
Guzma then started to smirk.
Guzma: Break the ice over it's head!
Drapion: Drapion!
Drapion proceeded to slam the ice trapping it's arms over Latias's head, freeing itself and dealing heavy damage to Latias.
Latias: Tias!!!
Nhazul: Latias!
Guzma: Poison Jab!
Drapion proceeded to slam Latias onto the ground and violently unleashed an onslaught of Poison Jabs onto Latias, poisoning it as well.
Lillie: Oh no!
Mallow: So violent!
Lana: That's the same thing he did to me...!
Seeing Latias in pain and poisoned, Nhazul pulled out her Pokéball to call her back.
Nhazul: Latias! Come back!
As Nhazul started calling back Latias, Guzma smirked.
Guzma: Pursuit!
Nhazul: What?!
As Latias was being called back, Drapion interrupted it, hitting Latias and sending her flying into the wall, knocking her out, completely shocking everyone.
Nanu: Latias is unable to battle!
Nhazul: Latias!
Nhazul and Eevee quickly ran over to Latias, checking on her, as Team Skull started cheering.
Team Skull: Yo, Yo! Beat down and smash this rotten world! We're the proud Team Skull!
Sophocles: What happened?!
Serena: What was that?!
Lillie: Pursuit is a Dark Type move that increases in power if the target is being recalled...
Kiawe: He bided his time and increased his attack as well...
Nhazul: Latias, are you alright?
Eevee: Vee...
Latias weakly looked at Nhazul.
Latias: T-Tias...
Guzma: That was pathetic. You call yourself a Legendary Pokémon when you're that weak?!
Nhazul just looked back and glared at Guzma, as Latias just looked down, disheartened.
Latias: Tias...
Nhazul: Hey.
Latias looked at Nhazul, who had cupped her face, smiling.
Nhazul: Don't listen to him. You were amazing. Thanks for always giving it your all.
Latias looked at Nhazul smiling, before nuzzling his face.
Latias: Tias.
Nhazul then called back Latias.
Nhazul: Take a good rest.
Nhazul then stood up, narrowing his eyes at Guzma, who was smirking at him.
Nhazul: Alright, that Drapion needs to go. Let's go!
Throwing out his next Pokémon, Nhazul called out Haxorus.
Haxorus: Haxorus
Caster: It would seem Contestant Nhazul's next Pokémon is Haxorus!
Guzma: Pin Missile!
Drapion: Drapion!
Drapion proceeded to fire a barrage of Pin Missile shots at Haxorus.
Nhazul: Slash!
Using Slash, Haxorus proceeded to knock all the shots, creating an explosion.
Nhazul: Focus Blast!
Rushing forward, Haxorus proceeded to blast Drapion in the face, dealing super effective damage, sending it sliding.
Guzma: Poison Jab!
As Drapion hit Haxorus, it endured the blow, glaring at Drapion, surprising it.
Nhazul: Blow through! Dragon Tail!
Haxorus: Haxorus!
Using Dragon Tail, Haxorus proceeded to ram it's tail into Drapion, sending it crashing into the wall, knocking it it.
Nanu: Drapion is unable to battle!
Seeing this, Guzma looked at Nhazul annoyed.
Serena: He defeated Drapion!
Lillie: Now it's even again.
Guzma proceeded to call back Drapion and called his next Pokémon.
Guzma: Go, Golisopod!
Golisopod: Golisopod!
Guzma: Poison Jab!
Golisopod proceeded to rush forward hitting Haxorus with Poison Jab, sending it skidding back.
Ash: So he sent out Golisopod already?
Kiawe: Golisopod is a Water/Bug type, so Haxorus has the advantage.
Guzuna: Wrap this up quick and pain free! Razor Shell!
Nhazul: Haxorus, match it, Slash!
Haxorus: Hax!
Haxorus and Golisopod proceeded to clash with one another.
Guzma: Poison Jab!
Rushing forward once again, Golisopod hit Haxorus with a Poison Jab!
Nhazul: Dragon Pulse!
Haxorus proceeded to blast back Golisopod, knocking it back.
Guzma: Razor Shell!
Golisopod quickly cut down the energy dragon with Razor Shell, rushing forward.
Guzma: Another Razor Shell!
Nhazul: Dragon Tail!
Both Haxorus and Golisopod clashes attacks, sending each other skidding back.
Caster: A tremendous back and forth between moves! My eyes can't comprehend their power!
Guzma: Pin Missile!
Golisopod: Pod!
Nhazul: Close the distance and use Dragon Tail!
Haxorus proceeded to rush forward, closing the distance to Golisopod while enduring Pin Missile, hitting Golisopod onto it's back.
Nhazul: Focus Blast!
Leaping into the air, Haxorus hit Golisopod's underbelly, large amounts of damage.
Guzma: Throat Chop!
Nhazul: Slash!
As Both Haxorus and Golisopod clashed with one another, the two fought for dominance, as Haxorus won the clash, slashing it.
Nhazul: Dragon Pulse!
As Haxorus fired off a powerful Dragon Pulse, flying towards Golisopod. Seeing this, it's eyes widened.
Guzma: Razor-
Without warning, Golisopod returned to it's Pokéball, and switched out Guzma's Pinsir, surprising him.
Guzma: Pinsir, dodge it!
Not being able to react in time and caught off guard,
Pinsir took Haxorus's Dragon Pulse, creating a powerful explosion and as the dust settled, it was knocked out, surprising everyone.
Nanu: Pinsir is unable to battle!
Hearing this, Guzma looked completely and utterly shocked.
Ash: Alright!
Rotom Dex: Haxorus defeated Pinsir!
Mallow: Now if he can just beat the other...
Sophocles: He'll be in the finals!
Lana's thoughts: Nhazul... Don't let your guard down...
Calling back Pinsir, Guzma furiously called back out Golisopod, screaming at it.
Guzma: What were you thinking...Golisopod?! You could've destroyed them on your own! What's wrong with you?! It's your fault they took out Pinsir! Now what?! How are you gonna fix this?!
Golisopod: ...
Nhazul just looked at Guzma, before looking at Haxorus.
Nhazul: Can you keep going, Haxorus?
Haxorus: Hax!
Caster: Contestant Guzma's Pinsir was the second of his Pokémon to be eliminated. He only has Golisopod left!
Guzma: Don't you dare lose now. This is your last chance.
Golisopod: Golisopod!
Guzma then looked at Nhazul smirking.
Guzma: That didn't go exactly according to plan, but my victory is still certain. Your Pokémon's a worn out wreck! We're ending this now! Poison Jab!
Nhazul: Slash!
Rushing forward, Golisopod uses Poison Jab, as Haxorus clashed with it, however, Golisopod using it's other claw grazed Haxorus's face, resulting in it getting poisoned.
Nhazul: Damn it...
Caster: Haxorus has been poisoned!
Nhazul: Haxorus! Dragon Pulse!
Golisopod: End this now! Razor Shell!
Haxorus proceeded to fire off Dragon Pulse, only for Golisopod to block it with Razor Shell.
Golisopod: GOLISOPOD!!!!!!
Over powering Haxorus, Golisopod hit it with Razor Shell, slamming it into the ground, knocking it out.
Nhazul: Haxorus!
Nanu: Haxorus is unable to battle!
Nhazul walked up and knelt down to Haxorus.
Nhazul: Thanks for your help, Haxorus.
Haxorus: Hax...
Nhazul proceeded to call back Haxorus, before standing up.
Nanu: Kid, send out your next Pokémon.
Nhazul took out his last Pokéball, calling out his Greninja.
Nhazul: Let's do this, Greninja!
Greninja: Kouga.
Caster: Contestant Nhazul sends out Greninja! Now both sides are down to their last Pokémon!
Guzma: This again. You should know you have no chance of -
Nhazul: Again, for someone who wasn't won, you love running your mouth.
Guzma just looked at Nhazul annoyed.
Guzma: Try and beat me all you want, it won't happen! Weaklings should just know their place! Poison Jab!
Nhazul: Double Team!
Using Double Team, Greninja avoided Golisopod's Poison Jab.
Nhazul: Night Slash!
Greninja: Kouga!
Guzma: Razor Shell!
Golisopod: Pod!
Creating their blades, both Greninja and Golisopod clashed, with one another, creating an explosion, pushing each other back.
Serena: Greninja is Nhazul's Ace Pokémon. If Golisopod is keeping pace, then you know it's strong...
Lana: Yeah...
Guzma: Just give yo and accept your loss!
Nhazul: And you give up on trying to get me to give up!
Guzma looked at Nhazul surprised, as he narrowed his eyes.
Nhazul: The word give up isn't in my vocabulary! If I lost nerve against people like you, then I'd never be able to fulfill mine and big sis's dream!
Hearing this, Inei looked at Nhazul surprised, feeling his resolve.
Inei: ...
Guzma then looked at Nhazul even more annoyed.
Guzma's thoughts: The hell is with this kid?! There's no way this kid could....!
Guzma: Golisopod! Pin Missile!
Golisopod: Pod!
Nhazul: Greninja! Let's show him our full power!
Greninja: Gekkouga!
Both Nhazul and Greninja's eyes started glowing green as Greninja entered Synchro Evolution, shocking Guzma and Golisopod.
Guzma: The hell?!
As the Pin Missile nearly hit Greninja, with blinding speed, he evaded.
Greninja proceeded to speed around Golisopod, so fast it couldn't keep up.
Nhazul: Aerial Ace!
Without warning, Greninja leapt above Golisopod, hitting it with,
a barrage of kicks and punches, before punching it in the underbelly, kicking it in the face, knocking it into the air, as it crashed back down.
Kiawe: Golisopod's defenses have completely crumbled!
Lillie: It can't keep up with Greninja's speed!
Mallow: Amazing!
Golisopod proceeded to weakly get back up, panting as it looked at Greninja.
Guzma's thoughts: How can this be...? I'm being pushed into a corner?!
Rotom Dex: Nhazul and Greninja still have their Z Move!
Ash: Now's your chance!
Lana: Go!
Nhazul: Greninja! Let's do this!
Both Nhazul and Greninja began mimicking each other's movements, charging up their Z Move. Seeing this, Golisopod proceeded to get ready to defend, shocking Guzma.
Guzma: You...!
Nhazul: Blow through! Supersonic Skystrike!
Leaping off the stands and high into the air, Greninja proceeded to rocket back down preforming a drop kick, hitting Golisopod, as it proceeded to block it, completely shocking everyone, including Guzma. Creating a large explosion, Greninja jumped back as everyone saw Golisopod had withstood the blow.
Ash: No way!
Serena: It withstood it?!
Mallow: Amazing...
Nhazul and Greninja looked at Golisopod and smirked.
Nhazul: That was amazing, Golisopod!
Greninja: Kouga!
Golisopod: Pod.
Golisopod then looked back at Guzma.
Golisopod: Pod.
Guzma: You wanna keep going?
Golisopod: Golisopod!
Guzma: I see... You're not gonna run away anymore?
Golisopod: Pod!
Guzma just looked at Golisopod completely shocked, as he started screaming, as if coming to a realization.
Guzma: GUZMA!!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!!
Nhazul: ...
Kukui: ...
Hala: ...
Guzma then looked at Nhazul smiling.
Guzma: Fine! Let's see how far we can go! Pin Missile!
Golisopod: Pod!
Golisopod proceeded to fire a barrage of Pin Missiles towards Greninja.
Nhazul: Double Team!
Using Double Team, Greninja avoided the shots and rushed forward.
Nhazul: Night Slash!
Guzma: Razor Shell!
Leaping into the air, Greninja and Golisopod clashed blades, creating a large explosion.
Nhazul: Water Shuriken!
Greninja and Nhazul mimicking each other, proceeded to throw the Fuma Water Shuriken at Golisopod.
Guzma: As if! Block it!
Golisopod proceeded to block the Fuma Water Shuriken, being pushed back, before knocking it back.
Guzma: Poison Jab!
Nhazul: Match it! Aerial Ace!
Both Greninja and Golisopod proceeded to trade blows, before hitting each other, sending them skidding back, as Nhazul head held his arm in pain.
Caster: What a fight! Neither side refuses to go down!
Nhazul: Let's end this! Aerial Ace!!!
Greninja: Gekkouga!!!!
Guzma: Razor Shell!!!
Golisopod: Golisopod!!!!
Both Greninja and Golisopod blitzed forward towards each other, and as Golisopod attempted to slash Greninja, he swiftly ducked out of the way, before kicking it in the chin, launching it up into the air, before leaping up and axe kicking it into the head, sending it crashing to the ground, knocking it out.
Nanu: Golisopod is unable to battle! The winner is Contestant Nhazul!
The crowd started to roar with excitement, as Nhazul had defeated Guzma. Nhazul took a deep breath, before Greninja deformed, the two of looking at each other and smiling, as Inei just watched the two.
Inei: ...
From the stands, everyone, including the Pokémon were all cheering loudly for Nhazul.
Serena: They did it!
Mallow: They won!
Lillie: Incredible!
Ash: Alright!
Rotom Dex: I've got their victory on video!
Watching from above as well as Gladion, who smirked at Nhazul.
Gladion: As to be expected.
With Greninja, he had looked back down at Golisopod, walking up to it.
Golisopod: Pod?
Greninja just looked at Golisopod, before offering it a hand, surprising it. As it just looked at Greninja, it then accepted it, as Greninja helped it up, along with Hala and the crowd clapping for the battle. Guzma proceeded to call back Golisopod and took his leave without a word, as Nhazul looked at him.
Caster: Now, only the finals remain! Contestant Nhazul with his calm, bold battling style, vs Contestant Ash with his heated, aggressive battle style! Which of these two will become the Alola Pokémon League's first ever Champion?!
Both Nhazul and Ash looked at each other, before smirking at one another.
