As the Quarter Finals of the Alola League continued, Nhazul and Gladion continued their battle, having lost 2 Pokémon each and were now using their Eevee and Zoroark.
Gladion: Zoroark! Night Daze!
Nhazul: Copycat!
Using Copycat, Eevee proceeded to use Night Daze as well, clashing with Zoroark, creating a large explosion. Through the smoke, Zoroark rushed forward towards Eevee.
Gladion: Night Slash!
Nhazul: Iron Tail!
Both Zoroark and Eevee proceeded to clash with Iron Tail and Night Slash, blowing each other back.
Gladion: Attack with a flurry of Night Slashes!
Zoroark proceeded to continuously slash at Eevee, who kept dodging the strikes, eventually getting hit back.
Nhazul: Eevee!
Eevee: Vee...!
Gladion: Night Daze!
Zoroark proceeded to use Night Daze, sending the blast towards Eevee.
Nhazul: Jump over it!
Eevee did what Nhazul said, leaping over the blast, only to be met by Zoroark, speeding in front of her.
Gladion: Night Slash!
Zoroark proceeded to hit Eevee back using Night Slash. After which, he proceeded to put a Dark Z Crystal in his Z Ring.
Gladion: Now!
Nhazul: A Z Move!
Caster: Contestant Gladion unleashes a Z Move!
Gladden: On the night of the new moon, you shall become an eternal wanderer, forever lost in the blackest of darkness! May the full power of Darkness consume you! Black Hole Eclipse!!!
Zoroark proceeded shoot out a massive black hole in the sky, pulling Eevee and everyone towards it.
Nhazul: Eevee, hang on!
Eevee: V-Vee...
Gladion: It's useless! Zoroark! Focus Blast and aim towards the ground beneath Eevee!
Zoroark: Ark!
Using Focus Blast, Zoroark hit the ground underneath Eevee, launching her up and started being pulled by Black Hole Eclipse, along multiple pieces of debris.
Eevee: E-Eevee!!!
Nhazul: Eevee!
Serena: Oh no!
Margo: Eevee is getting pulled up towards that thing!
Nhazul: Eevee! Use Extreme Speed and run on the debris!
Eevee: Vee!
Eevee doing what Nhazul said, attempted to run across the debris, escaping the black hole, but was still being pulled.
Nhazul's thoughts: Damn it... The pull is still to strong for Eevee to break free...! Then in that case!
Nhazul proceeded to insert Eevee Z into his Z Ring, surprising Gladion.
Gladion: Don't tell me...!
Nhazul: Let's go, Eevee!
Eevee: Eevee!
Nhazul proceeded to do the movements, charging up the Z Move.
Nhazul: Let's go! Extreme Evoboost!!!!
Eevee: Ee...VEEEEEEE!!!!!
Hearing Eevee's cry, Nhazul's Glaceon, as well as Sandy and Serena's Sylveon jumped down to the battlefield, surprising everyone.
Lana: Sandy?
Serena: Sylveon?
As the three of them jumped down, they're suddenly joined by a Umbreon, Espeon, Leafeon, Flareon and Jolteon, all jumping down as well.
Caster: What's this?! The evolutions of Eevee have all jumped onto the battlefield!
The 8 Eeveelutions all jumped into the air, shooting Eevee with their power, powering up her, increasing her stats, as the rainbow aura surrounded Eevee.
Nhazul: Let's go, Eevee! Extreme Speed!
Eevee: EEVEE!!!
Using Extreme Speed once again, Eevee started to power through the pull of the black hole, running across the debris and straight towards Zoroark, shocking everyone.
Caster: Amazing! Eevee is powering through the Z Move and directly towards Zoroark!
Nhazul: End this! Iron Tail!
Eevee: Vee!
Gladion: Counter it! Focus Blast!
As Eevee leapt off the last piece of debris, Eevee started charging up Iron Tail, along with Zoroark charging up Focus Blast. The two proceeded to hit each other at the same time, causing a large explosion. As the dust settled, everyone could see both Eevee and Zoroark were knocked out.
Hapu: Both Eevee and Zoroark are unable to battle!
Nhazul: Eevee!
Gladion: Zoroark!
Both Nhazul and Gladion ran onto the battlefield to check on Eevee and Zoroark.
Caster: This is unbelievable! It's a double KO!
Nhazul knelt down picking Eevee, and started walking back smiling at her.
Nhazul: Thanks, Eevee. Like always, you were great out there.
Eevee weakly looked at Nhazul and smiled at him.
Eevee: Vee...
Nhazul looked over at the Eeveelutions as well.
Nhazul: Thanks for your help as well.
They all proceeded to nod smiling, returning to where they were, as Nhazul sat down Eevee on the ground. Afterwards, Nhazul and Gladion proceeded to look at each other, before smirking.
Nhazul: I guess it's time to let them run wild!
Gladion: Yeah!
Taking out their finals Pokéballs, the two of them called out their next Pokémon at the same time.
Nhazul: Let's go, Lucario!
Gladion: Go forth, Crimson Glare, Lycanroc!
Landing on the ground, both Lucario and Lycanroc got ready for battle.
Lucario: Lucario!
Lycanroc: Lycanroc!
Lucario and Lycanroc just stared down each other, once again, wanting settle the score, once and for all.
Lucario: ...
Lycanroc: ...
Caster: Contestant Gladion has sent out Lycanroc and Contestant Nhazul has sent out Lucario! Those are the stares of intense rivals!This is gearing up to be an explosive final battle!!!!
Nhazul: Lucario, Aura Sphere!
Lucario proceeded to charge up a Aura Sphere, launching it towards Lycanroc.
Gladion: Stone Edge!
Lycanroc: Lycan!
Slamming it's fist into the ground, Lycanroc sent a powerful Volley of stone pillars towards the Aura Sphere, colliding with it, causing it to explode. As the stone pillars continued onwards, they hit Lucario, knocking it back.
Caster: It's a direct hit from Stone Edge from Lycanroc!
Gladion: Fire Punch!
Nhazul: Aura Sphere!
Rushing forward with Fire Punch, Lycanroc cocked it's fist back to strike, along with Lucario charging up another Aura Sphere.
The two collided with one another, causing an explosion, pushing each other back.
Nhazul: Meteor Mash!
Gladion: Fire Punch!
Quickly recovering, both Lucario and Lycanroc
rushed forward clashing and trading blows again, before canceling out once again.
Sophocles: Jeez... Just how evenly match are they?!
Nhazul: Lucario, Bone Rush!
Rushing forward before Lycanroc could react, Lucario rushed forward, hitting Lycanroc with a combination of strikes from it's bo staff.
Caster: And Lucario is hitting Lycanroc with Bone Rush, dealing massive damage, but suddenly, red aura started flaring around Lycanroc, making Gladion smirk.
Nhazul: Damn...!
Gladion: There! Lycanroc, Counter!
Lucario attempted to hit with Bone Rush, but Lycanroc grabbed it's staff,
hitting it in the stomach, is knocked back by Counter, taking massive damage to Lucario, sending it skidding back, taking a knee panting, surprising everyone.
Nhazul: Lucario!
Lana: What happened?!
Margo: Why did Lucario take so much damage?
Lillie: Because of Lycanroc's ability, Anger Point. When hit with a powerful enough strike, it's attack power is maxed out.
Gladion: How's that?!
As Lucario was panting on the ground, it slowly started to stand back up, it's eyes glowing blue and it's aura surging drastically, as Aura Storm activated.
Nhazul: Don't think this fight is over yet!
Lucario: Cario!
Caster: Contestant Nhazul's Lucario managed to get back up!
Gladion's thoughts: Even taking a powered up Counter... Lucario can still stand up...!
Gladion: Incredible! This is so much fun, Son of Dark King!
Lycanroc: Lycanroc!
Nhazul: Yeah! I couldn't agree more!
Nhazul then looked at Lucario.
Nhazul's thoughts: Ever since you were a Riolu, you had a habit of picking fights with strong opponents. I knew it was because of your drive to grow stronger. And I guess you saw Lycanroc as such. As a new rival to push you further!
Gladion then looked at Lycanroc.
Gladion's thoughts: I didn't know what exactly you saw in Lucario... But now I understand. For the first time, you found a worthy rival, and due to that, you couldn't stand to lose to it! Thanks to them, we have been able to grow further.
The four of them then proceeded to stare down each other, before their eyes widened.
Nhazul and Gladion: We settle the score here and now, Lucario/Lycanroc!
Lucario and Lycanroc: LUCARIO/LYCANROC!!!!!
Nhazul: Lucario, Close Combat!
Gladion: Lure them in with Stone Edge!
As Lucario rushed forward towards Lycanroc, it slammed it's fist into the ground, sending a volley of stone pillars towards it.
Nhazul: Move to the side!
As Lucario side stepped the pillars, Nhazul saw Lycanroc was already reading a Counter.
Nhazul's thoughts: It's already preparing a Counter?
Nhazul: Lucario, back off!
Lucario: Cario!
Gladion: Too soft! Stone Edge!
Lycanroc proceeded to hit Lucario with Stone Edge,but Lucario quickly dodged it, landed on it's feet.
Gladion's thoughts: It dodged that? Their reflexes have increased that much?
Nhazul: Meteor Mash!
Gladion: Use Fire Punch!
Both Lucario and Lycanroc clashed fists, before entering a hand lock, holding each other down.
Nhazul: Lucario, use your legs to use Meteor Mash!
Gladion: What?!
Lucario proceeded to channel Meteor Mashes's energy to it's legs,
jumping up and kicking Lycanroc in the face, knocking it back, surprising everyone.
Caster: Amazing! Lucario transferred the energy from Meteor Mash into it's legs to strike!
Kiawe: Incredible!
Mallow: Can it do that?!
Margo: Keep going, big bro!
Gladion: Impressive! Now let us return the favor! Allow your crimson fury to hit it's boiling point! Outrage!
Lycanroc: Lyncanroc!!!
Nhazul: Match it! Close Combat!
Lucario: Lucario!!!
As their red and blue auras started to flare, both Lucario and Lycanroc proceeded to speed around the battlefield in red and blue streaks, clashing and trading blows. But during the rush, Lycanroc suffered the side effect of Outrage, now confused.
Nhazul: Lucario, Bone Rush!
Rushing forward, Lucario used Bone Rush,
but soon saw Lycanroc biting down on it's paw, shocking everyone.
Gladion: Counter!
Nhazul: What?!
Lycanroc dodged Lucario's strike and hit it in the face with Counter, sending it crashing to the ground, again shocking everyone. Nhazul then looked at Gladion, narrowing his eyes.
Nhazul: So that's it... It bit it's self to snap out of confusion!
Gladion: Exactly! That's the equation Lycanroc and I came up with to attain victory!
Serena: Incredible...!
Sophocles: How much training did they have to do to pull that off?!
Lana: A relentless drive to win!
Kiawe: He's cool headed, but the flame burning inside him is blazing hot!
Nhazul then looked at Lucario.
Nhazul: Lucario! Can you keep going?
Lucario's aura started flaring up even more.
Lucario: Cario!!!!
Nhazul just smiled at Lucario.
Nhazul: I see... Then let's do this! Lucario, Meteor Mash!
Lucario: Cario!
Gladion: Stone Edge!
Rushing forward, Lucario proceeded to destroy the stone pillars as it rushed towards Lycanroc, finally reaching them, hitting Lyncoroc with an onslaught of blows, knocking it back.
Nhazul and Gladion: We end this here and now!
Gladion: FIRE PUNCH!!!!
Lycanroc: ROCCCCCC!!!!!
Nhazul: Blow through!!! AURA SPHERE!!!!
Lucario: CARIO!!!!!
Both rushing forward, both Lucario and Lyncoroc clashed with Aura Sphere and Fire Punch, creating a massive vortex of aura and fire, completely shocking everyone, as the pressure was so intense, everyone in the stands could feel it.
Nhazul: ...
Gladion: ...
As the two of them fought for dominance within the clash, Lucario's aura began to spike, overpowering Lycanroc,
as it then proceeded to slam it's Aura Sphere in the face of Lycanroc, causing a massive explosion. Once the dust had settled, everyone saw both Lycanroc and Lucario still standing, staring each other down, both severely damaged.
Lycanroc: Lycanroc!
Lucario: Lucario!
Lycanroc: ...
Lucario: ...
Nhazul: ...
Gladion: ...
Everyone: ...
As Lucario and Lycanroc continued standing off with each other, the one to drop to the ground was Lycanroc, as it was now unconscious.
Hapu: Lycanroc is unable to battle! As such, the winner is Contestant Nhazul!
The crowd quickly started to cheer, as Nhazul won the battle.
Margo: Way to go, big bro!
Serena and Lana: Nhazul won!
Kiawe: That was a burning battle!
Lillie looked at both Nhazul and Gladion, smiling.
Lillie: Big brother... Big brother Nhazul... You're both incredible!
Shirona: Gladion was amazing out there.
Lusamine: As was Nhazul. That was a magnificent battle.
Shirona then looked over to Inei, who was still watching without saying a word.
Inei: ...
Back on the battlefield, both Gladion and Nhazul walked up to each other smiling.
Gladion: Son of- No, Nhazul. That was an amazing battle!
Nhazul just chuckled.
Nhazul: Ah, so you do know how to say my name.
Gladion: Of course. I just thought it was funny to mess with you.
Nhazul then looked at Gladion annoyed.
Nhazul: ...-_-... You asshole...
Gladion then held up his hand to Nhazul.
Gladion: Let's have another battle again sometime.
Nhazul smiled at Gladion, taking his hand.
Nhazul: Of course!
Lucario and Lycanroc both looked at each other before smiling and doing the same as their trainers.
Lucario: Cario!
Lycanroc: Roc!
(A/N) Fan fact. When Lucario fights Gladion's Lyncoroc, he was hit with all super effective moves and continued fighting on. So that just goes to show how strong he is and why Lucario saw him as a rival
