As the Alola Pokémon League continues, after it's explosive first battle between Nhazul and Serena, it's time to decide on the next competitors to move to the next round. First up was Ash and Faba, with Meltan taking it's first ever win, winning the match against Faba's Hypno.
Next was Ilima and Kangaskhan taking on Guzma and Pinsir , but after undergoing Mega Evolution, Kangaskhan falters and is defeated.
In the next match, Hau's Raichu uses speed to overtake Principal Oak's Exeggutor.
Next was Lana and Mallow's face off with Arcanine and Tsareena. After some words of of encouragement from Lana after Mallow wanted to give up, she continued to battle with it ending in a Z Move clash, with Lana taking the win.
Next was Sophocles and Vikavolt against Mina and her Ribombee, and while Ribombee was powerful, it's no match for Vikavolt's Signal Beam, winning Sophocles the match.
After that, Kiawe and Marowak defeat Acerola and Rapooh the Gangar in a ghostly clash. Lastly, it is time for Lillie and Snowball to face off against Gladion and Umbreon.
Caster: Now, the 8th match is a sibling showdown! President Lusamine's son vs her daughter!
From the booth, Lusamine, Wicke, Burnet and Faba were all cheering extremely loudly for both Lillie and Gladion, as Inei, Shirona, Margo and Zeraora just look at them, and much to Lillie and Gladion's embarrassment.
Lusamine: Hooray, hooray, Lillie! Give it your best, Gladion!
Inei, Shirona, Margo and Zeraora: ...
Lillie: Oh mother...
Gladion: Faba...
Within the stands, Kiawe had just made his way back up to everyone.
Kiawe: I made it!
Ash: It's just about to start!
Hapu: Battle, begin!
Lillie: Snowball, use Hail!
Snowball: Nine!
Using Hail, the area began to suffer a hailstorm.
Gladion: Let's do this before she can boost her defense! Umbreon! Dark Pulse!
Umbreon: Umbreon!
Lillie: Snowball, dodge it!
Snowball quickly vanished within the hail, dodging Umbreon's attack, surprising Gladion and Umbreon, appearing on their side.
Lillie: Blizzard!
Snowball: Ninetails!
Using Blizzard, Snowball pushed back Umbreon, dealing damage to it.
Serena: Lillie's doing really good!
Nhazul: Yeah, all that training really paid off.
Gladion: Snow Cloak, Hail and Blizzard, huh? You're growing stronger! Shadow Ball!
Lillie: Use Moonblast!
Both Shadow Ball and Moonblast clashed with one another, creating an explosion, but Shadow Ball pushed through, hitting Snowball.
Lillie's thoughts: Right now, there is only one way we could possibly win this...Our Z Move!
Lillie crossed her arms, charging up her Z Move, surprising everyone.
Gladion: Here it comes, Umbreon!
Umbreon: Umbreon!
Lillie: Snow silently fluttering down from the heavens... Countless glimmering Crystals of ice... O, freeing Z that covers the land... Along with my heated soul, return now once more to the heavens!
Lillie doing the movements, proceeded to fully charge her Z Move.
Lillie: Subzero Slammer!
Snowball: Ninetails!
Snowball proceeded to fire off a powerful beam of ice, hitting Umbreon, causing a large explosion.
But once the smoke started to clear, Umbreon's red eyes could be seen, as it was still standing, surprising everyone.
Gladion: Iron Tail!
Umbreon then proceeded to rush forward, towards Snowball.
Lillie: Snowball, Return!
Glowing blue, Snowball attempted to clash with Umbreon using Return, creating a small shockwave. The two continued to fight for dominance, but in the end, Umbreon overpowered her, slamming Snowball into the ground, knocking her out.
Lillie: Snowball!
Lillie quickly went to check on Snowball, as she smiled at it, rubbing her face against hers.
Lillie: Thank you, Snowball...
Hapu: Ninetails is unable to battle! Accordingly, the victor is Gladion!
From the booth, Lusamine looked at Lillie and Gladion proud.
Inei: That was an excellent battle. They're both strong on their own right.
Lusamine: Lillie...Gladion... Mohn... How I wish I could show you how well your children are growing up...
Walking up, Shirona placed her hand on Lusamine's shoulder.
Shirona: I'm sure he'd be proud.

After the end of the first round matches, everyone took their Pokémon to the Pokémon center to heal up their Pokémon and see the next match ups.
Caster: After intense battles, 8 contestants have made it through the first round! Now for the match ups for the Quarter-Finals! The first match is Contestant Nhazul vs Contestant Gladion!
Everyone looked surprised to see Nhazul was talking on Gladion next, as Lillie looked over at Nhazul.
Lillie: You're facing my brother...
Nhazul: Yeah. It's a little earlier then I expected, but It'll be a hell of a battle.
Up on the stairs, Gladion had saw the match and looked down at Nhazul. Nhazul proceeded to look behind him and saw Gladion was looking at him. The two soon started to smirk at each other. The next matches were announced which were Ash vs Hau, Kiawe vs Sophocles and Lana vs Guzma. Seeing Lana would be fighting Guzma, made him narrow his eyes.
Nhazul: ...

It's the next day and early in the morning and Nhazul had just finished his morning training, using the Pokémon he was bringing to take on Gladion.
Nhazul: Alright, that's enough. Nice work.
Eevee proceeded to jump onto Nhazul's shoulder, nuzzling his face.
Eevee: Vee!
Suddenly, everyone heard everyone calling him, as they made their way over to him.
Serena: There you are!
Lillie: Alola! You're certainly up early today.
Nhazul: Alola.
Sophocles: You or Ash weren't in the rooms, so I was wondering where you both went!
Nhazul: Yeah, Ash told me he was doing some training with Rowlet, and I figured we get some last minute training done as well.
Kiawe: So you already know what team your using?
Nhazul: Yeah.
Serena: You're the first match again today.
Lana: You don't have a lot of time left.
Nhazul: Yeah. But I'm sure we're ready.
Lillie: Big brother is stronger then the last time you both fought, don't let your guard down.
Nhazul: Oh believe me, I won't.

It's later in the day and time for the first match of the Quarter-Finals, as Nhazul and Gladion stood off with one another.
Caster: The first match of the Alola Pokemon League's Quarter-Finals is Contestant Nhazul vs Contestant Gladion. Both are incredibly skilled and have won their ways up the ranks with ease! I look forward to seeing how they both battle. Due to both contestants having full teams, a random number was generated to determine how many Pokémon would be allowed to be used and that number was 4.
From the stands, everyone was watching, as Nhazul and Gladion got ready to face off with each, when they heard someone running their way.
Margo: Thank god, I made it in time!
Everyone looked over and saw Margo and Zeraora.
Serena: Margo? What are you doing here?
Margo: Mom and dad said I could come down and cheer for big bro with you guys!
Margo then proceeded to sit down in between Lillie and Lana, as she looked at the battlefield excitedly.
Lillie: Margo! Let's cheer for our big brothers together!
Margo: Right!
Liille: Big brother!
Margo: Big bro!
Nhazul looked over and saw Margo sitting with the others.
Nhazul: Margo?
Gladion: ...
Lillie: Big brother!
Margo: Big bro!
Margo and Lillie: Do your best!
Lillie and Margo then looked at each other and smiled, cheering on their older brothers. Nhazul smiled at the two of them, as Gladion just looked away blushing.
Hapu: We shall commence the first match of the Quarter-Finals! Contestant Nhazul vs Contestant Gladion!
Gladion: Gladion: Let your roars echo through the skies! Come out, Noivern!
Throwing out his Pokéball, Gladion called out his Noivern.
Noivern: Noivern!
Nhazul: Let's go, Charizard!
Throwing out his own Pokéball, Nhazul called out Charizard, surprising Gladion.
Chsrizard: Zard!!!
Gladion: A Charizard?
Within the booth, Lusamine, Burnet, Wicke, Fuba, Inei and Shirona were getting ready to watch the battle.
Lusamine: Do your best, Gladion!
Burnet: Ever the worrywart, I see.
Shirona: That she is.
Lusamine: I'm not worried!
Shirona just rolled her eyes and chuckled.
Shirona: You could've fooled us.
Burnet: What mother wouldn't be worried about their child.
Lusamine: ...
Faba: It will be alright. I'm certain Young Master Gladion will win.
Inei: I wouldn't count out my son.
Shirona looked at Inei surprised, as she saw him staring at Nhazul, before smiling, walking up to him.
Shirona: Having a change of heart?
Inei: ...
Back on the battlefield, the battle was getting ready to start.
Hapu: Let the battle commence!
Nhazul: Charizard, Flamethrower!
Gladion: Dodge it!
As Charizard shot off a Flamethrower, Noivern proceeded to fly in the air, dodging the blasts with Charizard giving chase, eventual hitting it.
Nhazul: Dragon Claw!
Gladion: Dragon Rush!
Using Dragon Claw and Rush, both Charizard and Noivern clashed with one another in the sky, with Noivern winning the clash, pushing Charizard back.
Nhazul: You alright, Charizard?
Charizard: Zard!
Gladion: Don't give them time to breath! Air Slash!
Nhazul: Dodge it!
Noivern proceeded to fire off multiple Air Slashes at Charizard, as it flew through the sky, avoiding them, only for Noivern to use it's speed to appear in front of Charizard, surprising it.
Gladion: Boomburst!
Using Boomburst, Noivern blasted back Charizard, surprising everyone.
Kiawe: He used Air Slash to lead Charizard to where he wanted...!
Nhazul: Charizard.
Charizard: Zard!
Gladion: Again, Air Slash!
Nhazul: Cut them down, Dragon Claw!
Flying around in the sky, Charizard proceeded to continue and now, cut down the Air Slashes with Dragon Claw.
Nhazul: Flamethrower!
Gladion: Boomburst!
Clashing with Flamethrower and Boomburst, creating a large explosion, surrounding the two of them, blinding Charizard.
Gladion: Steel Wing!
Noivern proceeded to fly through the smoke, rushing straight towards Charizard, surprising everyone.
Mallow: It knows where Charizard is?!
Lillie: Noivern can use Echo location! So even when blinded, they can find their opponent!
Nhazul: Don't think so! Charizard, Thunder Punch!
Sensing Noivern to the right, Charizard used Thunder Punch, punching Noivern directly in the face, blowing away the smoke and knocking it back.
Gladion just looked at Nhazul and smirked.
Gladion: As expected of you. Noivern! Dragon Rush!
Nhazul: Charizard, Flare Blitz!
Both rushing forward using Dragon Rush and Flare Blitz, Charizard and Noivern crashed into each other, creating a large explosion, surprising everyone. Suddenly, something came crashing down from the smoke, as it was Noivern, who was knocked out. The dust settled and everyone saw Charizard was still standing.
Hapu: Noivern is unable to battle!
Lana: Alright! He got the first win!
Margo: Way to go, big bro!
Lillie: Hang in there, big brother...
Gladion sighed, calling back Noivern.
Gladion: You did well, Noivern.
Hapu: Contestant Gladion, call out your next Pokémon.
Gladion then proceeded to call out his next Pokémon.
Gladion: Go, Sacred Beast, Silvally!
Throwing out his next Pokémon, Gladion called out Silvally.
Silvally: Vally!
Caster: Contestant Gladion's next Pokémon is Silvally!
Nhazul: Silvally, huh?
Nhazul looked over at Charizard.
Nhazul: Can you go on, Charizard?
Charizard: Zard!
Nhazul: Right. You should know, Silvally isn't one to take lightly. Stay on your guard!
Gladion: Air Slash!
Nhazul: Flamethrower!
Both Charizard and Silvally clashed, canceling out each other's attacks.
Gladion: Crush Claw!
Nhazul: Dragon Claw!
Both Charizard and Silvally proceeded rush forward, trading blows with Dragon and Crush Claws, before locking claws with one another.
Gladion: Air Slash!
Silvally proceeded to hit Charizard with Air Slash from point blank range, pushing it back, as well as making it flinch. Seeing this, Gladion's eyes widened.
Gladion: Now!
Gladion pulled out a Memory Drive, surprising Nhazul.
Nhazul: Don't tell me...!
Gladion: Sacred Beast Silvally, I grant you further power! Receive the Rock Memory!
Gladion proceeded to throw the Memory Drive into Silvally's disk drive, allowing it to turn into a Rock Type due to it's ability RKS Systems.
Gladion: Fangs of Stone that pierce all... Bring the Beast of Flames to the Ground! Multi Attack!
Nhazul: Charizard, Dragon Claw!
Charizard attempted to use Dragon Claw, but was quickly out sped by Silvally,
hitting it with a Rock Type Multi Attack, dealing super effective damage, knocking it out.
Hapu: Charizard is unable to battle!
Serena: Gladion's Silvally is strong...
Sophocles: Nhazul is going to have trouble fighting it.
Margo: Keep going big bro! You can do it!
Lana: Yeah!
Nhazul proceeded to call back Charizard.
Nhazul: Great work, Charizard.
Nhazul looked over Gladion and saw him looking back at him.
Nhazul: Alright then, let's fight fire with fire! Let's go, Silvally!
Calling out his next Pokémon, Nhazul called out his own Silvally.
Silvally: VALLY!!!!
Caster: What's this?! Contestant Nhazul has sent out his own Silvally! This looks like it'll be quite the mirror match!
Serena: So Nhazul called out his own Silvally...
Kiawe: This won't be an easy match for either of them.
Nhazul and Gladion: Let's go! Air Slash!
Silvally and Gladion's Silvally both proceeded to use Air Slash, clashing with one another, canceling each other out.
Nhazul and Gladion: Shadow/Crush Claw!
Once again, both Silvallys rushes each other, clashing and trading blows with one another, before pushing each other back.
Nhazul and Gladion's Silvally: VALLY!!!!!
Lana: It's a stalemate!
Sophocles: They keep countering one another!
Gladion: Let's stack the odds in our favor! Silvally, Swords Dance!
Gladion's Silvally: Vally!
Gladion's Silvally proceeded to raise it's attack by 2x.
Caster: It would seem Gladion's Silvally's attack has increased significantly!
Gladion: Multi Attack!
Using the Rock Type Multi Attack, Gladion's Silvally slashed Nhazul's, sending or skidding back.
Nhazul: I knew this wouldn't be an easy fight.
Silvally: Vally!
Gladion: Don't give them room to breathe! Crush Claw!
Nhazul: Shadow Claw!
Using their speed, both Silvallys started speeding around the battlefield, clashing, trying to land a hit on each other.
Gladion: Crush Claw!
Nhazul: Redirect it!
Nhazul's Silvally then proceeded to use Shadow Claw, redirecting Gladion's Silvally's claw into the ground, causing it to get stuck.
Gladion: Damn it!
Nhazul: Now! Let's show them the results of your training! Silvally, Draco Meteor!
Everyone looked at Nhazul completely shocked, hearing him saw that.
Gladion: What?!
Sophocles: Did he say Draco Meteor?!
Lana: When did he teach Silvally that?
Lillie: I had no idea Silvally could learn that move...!
Nhazul's Silvally proceeded to charge up a blast in it's mouth, launching it into the sky, as it scattered into multiple blasts, raining down on Gladion's Silvally, dealing massive damage.
Gladion: Silvally!
Gladion's Silvally: S-Silval...
Gladion: Use Crush Claw again!
Nhazul: Air Slash!
Nhazul's Silvally proceeded to hit Gladion's with Air Slash, pushing it back and making it flinch. Nhazul then proceeded to pull out a Memory Drive of his own, surprising everyone.
Nhazul: Silvally! Accept this Water Memory, and lets end this!
Throwing the Memory Drive into Silvally's disk drive, changing it into a Water Type.
Nhazul: Multi Attack!
Gladion: Silvally, Multi Attack as well!
Both Silvallys rushed forward towards each other, clashing with a Rock and Water Multi Attack,
creating a powerful shockwave from the clash, which even the crowd felt. As the two fought for dominance, Gladion's Silvally started losing ground.
Nhazul: Blow through!
Overpowering Gladion's Silvally,
Nhazul's Silvally proceeded to slam it's face into that ground with its claw, dealing super effective damage, as well as creating a large explosion. Once the dust settled, everyone saw Gladion's Silvally was knocked out, and Nhazul's still standing.
Hapu: Silvally is unable to battle!
Caster: What a powerful clash of power! But it would seem Nhazul's Silvally has come out on top!
Gladion then called back Silvally, looking at Nhazul.
Gladion: Impressive, Son of Dark King. But let's see how you handle this!
Gladion proceeded to call out his Lycanroc.
Lycanroc: Lycanroc.
Nhazul: Lycanroc?
Nhazul's thoughts: I couldn't sworn Lycanroc's Pokéball was an Ultra Ball... Not a Dusk Ball...
Nhazul: Silvally, watch out for it's-
Gladion: Retaliate.
Nhazul: What?!
Without warning, Lycanroc sped past Silvally, slashing it. Silvally then feel to the ground, knocked out, surprising everyone.
Hapu: Silvally is the unable to battle!
Margo: No way...
Sophocles: In just a single hit?!
Lillie: That's the power of Retaliate. If used after a teammate falls in battle, it's damage is doubled!
Nhazul proceeded to call back Silvally.
Nhazul: Take a good rest, Silvally...
Nhazul then looked at Lycanroc.
Nhazul's thoughts: The Dusk Ball and now Retaliate?
Nhazul then narrowed his eyes, having figured it out.
Nhazul's thoughts: So that's your play, huh?
Nhazul then looked at Eevee on his side.
Nhazul: You ready to fight, Eevee?
Eevee looked at Nhazul and nodded.
Eevee: Vee!
Nhazul: I'm counting on you!
Eevee then proceeded to enter the battlefield.
Caster: Contestant Nhazul's next Pokémon is Eevee!
Nhazul: Eevee, stay on guard! Extreme Speed!
Eevee: Vee!
Eevee proceeded to rush forward towards Lycanroc, making Gladion smirk.
Gladion: Night Daze!
Lycanroc proceeded to use Night Daze, blowing back Eevee, surprising everyone.
Lillie: Night Daze?
Lillie's eyes widened shocked.
Lillie: Could it be...
Nhazul: Eevee, Shadow Ball!
Gladion: Go! Night Slash!
As Eevee fired off Shadow Ball, Lyncoroc cut it in half, but saw Eevee was gone.
Gladion: Above you!
Lyncoroc looked up, and saw Eevee above it.
Nhazul: Shadow Ball!
Eevee proceeded to blast Lyncoroc with Shadow Ball, causing an explosion. But within the light, a purple light could be seen, completely shocking Lusamine.
Lusamine: T-That's...! Mohn's...!
As the dust settled, everyone saw that Lyncoroc was in fact Zoroark, using it's ability, Illusion, shocking everyone other then Nhazul.
Caster: Amazing! It's wasn't Lycanroc that Contestant Gladion sent out, but Zoroark!
Nhazul: I knew it.
Gladion: So you saw through our Illusion, huh?
Nhazul: Since my mom owns a Zoroark as well, the tactic isn't all that new to me.
Gladion then closed his eyes, thinking his father.
Gladion's thoughts: Please lend me your strength, dad.
Gladion: Awaken from your Illusion, Zoroark!
Zoroark: Zoroark!!!
Nhazul: Let's go, Eevee!
Eevee: Eevee!
Both Eevee and Zoroark rushed towards each other, ready to fight one another.
