It's now the second day of the Alola Pokémon League, and the first rounds of the final tournament were about to get underway.
Caster: Alola! Today is the start of the final tournament, and thousands of people have gathered here at Manalo Stadium to watch!
Watching from the booth, along with Lusamine, Burnet and Wicke, Inei and Shirona were sitting and watching, while Margo looked out the window.
Margo: Big bro and Serena are fighting each other first, right?
Shirona: That's right. I'm still surprised they're battling each other off the bat.
Caster: It's time for the monumental first match! Contestants Nhazul and Serena are entering the arena!
Both Nhazul and Serena made their way out and stood across each other on the battlefield.
Caster: Nhazul is a boy who hails from the Kalos region, and has cleared all four Grand Trials! While Serena, who also hails from the Kalos Region is a skilled Pokémon Preformer! The two of them are both childhood friends as well! The number of Pokémon allowed to be used is dependent on the amount owned by each trainer. Given how each trainer owns at least 5 Pokémon, their first round will be a 3 v 3 battle!
Halu: Contestants, send out your first Pokémon!
Serena: Sylveon, come on out!
Throwing up her Pokéball, Serena called out her Sylveon.
Sylveon: Sylveon!
Nhazul: Glaceon, let's go!
Throwing out his Pokéball, Nhazul called out Glaceon.
Glaceon: Glaceon!
From the stands, everyone was watching while their Pokémon watched as well within the field.
Sophocles: So they're stating our with their Eeveelutions, huh?
Kiawe: This will be interesting.
Mallow: Good luck you two!
Ash: Give it everything you've got, you guys!
Halu: Both sides, are you ready? Let the first round... begin!
Nhazul: We're making the first move! Glaceon, Ice Beam!
Glaceon: Glace!
Using Ice Beam, Glaceon proceeded to blast Sylveon.
Serena: Sylveon, quick! Use Protect!
Using Protect, Sylveon disbursed the Ice Beam, sending it flying in different directions.
Nhazul: Rush forward, Iron Tail!
Glaceon: Glaceon!
Rushing, Glaceon proceeded to use Iron Tail in an attempt to hit Sylveon, which Serena wanted.
Serena: Sylveon, dodge and grab Glaceon!
Nhazul: Huh?
Sylveon: Sylve!
Sylveon proceeded dodge Glaceon's Iron Tail gracefully and grab Glaceon with her feelers, lifting it up in the air, surprising everyone.
Caster: What's this?! Sylveon immobilized Glaceon using her feelers.
Serena: Now! Fairy Wind!
Using Fairy Wind, Sylveon proceeded to trap Glaceon in a tornado of Fairy wind, constantly damaging it.
Shirona: Impressive. Serena's really holding her own against Nhazul.
Inei didn't say anything, continuing to watch the battle.
Inei: ...
With Serena, she looked at Nhazul and smiled.
Serena: Reaction speed and time, remember? I took what you've taught me to heart. Your advice even now is still helping me. I'm nothing like how I was before in Kalos or Hoenn, I can now battle on even footing with you and the others. And now I'm going to take everything I've learned here and defeat you, Nhazul!
Everyone looked at Serena and smiled, as Nhazul did the same, with a small one.
Nhazul: I see...
Serena: Sylveon, Moonblast!
Sylveon proceeded to charge up a Moonblast, firing it at Glaceon, who was still trapped.
Nhazul: Glaceon, Mirror Coat!
Everyone looked at Nhazul surprised.
Serena: Mirror Coat?
Lillie: When did he teach him that?
Using Mirror Coat, Glaceon redirected the Moonblast back at Sylveon, hitting it with even more force, forcing her to let go, freeing Glaceon.
Serena: Sylveon, are you alright?
Sylveon: S-Sylveon....
Nhazul: Serena! Despite our relationship, despite how we feel about one another, as we stand upon this stage... We are both nothing more than Pokémon Trainers! Regardless if our goals differ, we're all aiming for the top! I will not hold back against you. To test my own potential, to accomplish mine and big sis's dream! I will beat you and move forward!
Hearing Nhazul's declaration, everyone looked at him surprised, including Inei, as slowly but surely, he began to see Aya within him.
Inei: ...
Nhazul: Glaceon, Iron Tail!
Glaceon once again rushed forward towards Sylveon, using Iron Tail.
Serena: Sylveon, Protect!
Using Protect, Sylveon started to get ready for Glaceon's strike.
Nhazul: Glaceon, Water Pulse, aim it for the ground!
Glaceon: Glace!
Doing what Nhazul said, Glaceon fired off Water Pulse, creating a large smokescreen, blinding Sylveon.
Sylveon: Sylveon?
Serena looked up and her eyes widened.
Serena: Sylveon, above you!
Sylveon looked up to see Glaceon above her.
Nhazul: Iron Tail!
Using Iron Tail, Glaceon slammed Sylveon into the ground, dealing super effective damage, knocking her out.
Hala: Sylveon is unable to battle!
Lana: Looks like Nhazul got the first win.
Mallow: But it's not over yet, Serena still has one Pokémon left.
Serena proceeded to call back Sylveon, smiling at the Pokéball.
Serena: Thank you so much, Sylveon.
Serena then looked over at Nhazul.
Serena's thoughts: Despite everything I said, I can't forget Nhazul is incredibly strong. Taking him down is easier said then done...
Serena then pulled out her next Pokéball, calling out her next Pokémon.
Serena: Come on out, Flygon!
Throwing her Pokéball, Flygon flew out and around.
Flygon: Gon!
Caster: Contestant Serena has sent out Flygon next!
Nhazul: Flygon, huh? Alright then, Glaceon, Ice Beam!
Glaceon: Glace!
Serena: Flygon, dodge and use Fire Blast!
Doing as Serena said, Flygon proceeded to dodge the Ice Beam, firing off Fire Blast towards Glaceon.
Nhazul: Mirror Coat!
Using Mirror Coat, Glaceon blocked and blasted back Flygon with 2x the power, knocking it back.
Serena: Flygon! Are you alright?
Flygon: Gon!
Serena: Alright, use Scale Shot!
Flygon proceeded to fire off his scales towards Glaceon, as he proceeded to jump back avoiding them.
Nhazul: Knock them back! Iron Tail!
Glaceon proceeded to knock away the scales with Iron Tail.
Nhazul: Ice Beam!
Serena: Dodge it!
Glaceon proceeded to fire off Ice Beam, as Flygon proceeded to dodge, but was clipped in the wing, freezing the tip of it, causing it to fall.
Serena: Flygon!
Nhazul: Iron Tail!
Jumping into the air, Glaceon hit Flygon in the head with Iron Tail, knocking it down.
Serena's thoughts: Glaceon is really nimble, landing an attack is really difficult because of that...
Serena thought back to Glaceon using Mirror Coat and came up with a plan.
Serena: That's it. Flygon, Fire Blast!
Flygon: Gon!
Flying into the air, Flygon fired off another Fire Blast towards Glaceon.
Nhazul: Mirror Coat!
Serena: That's what I wanted.
Nhazul: Huh?
Serena: Now! Flygon, use High Horsepower!
Nhazul: What?
As Glaceon was an able to move due to blocking Fire Blast, Flygon hit him form the side, sending Glaceon flying into the wall, knocking him out.
Hala: Glaceon is unable to battle!
Nhazul's thoughts: She restricted Glaceon's movements again, but this time by using Mirror Coat against us. Smart.
Nhazul looked back at Glaceon, smiling, as he called it back.
Nhazul: Awesome job, Glaceon. Take a good rest.
Upon recalling Glaceon, Nhazul took out his next Pokéball.
Nhazul: Lucario, let's go!
Lucario: Cario!
Kiawe: So Lucario vs Flygon, huh?
Sophocles: Serena has the type advantage here.
Serena: Let's start off first! Flygon, use Scale Shot!
Flygon: Gon!
Flying into the air, Flygon proceeded to launch a volley of scales towards Lucario.
Nhazul: Rush forward!
Lucario: Cario!
As Lucario rushed forward directly towards the scales, everyone looked at him surprised.
Serena's thoughts: He's rushing head first?
Nhazul: Meteor Mash, rapid fire!
Using Meteor Mash, Lucario proceeded to knock away all the scales, repealing them, again surprising everyone.
Nhazul: Now, bring Flygon down to the ground!
Leaping into the air, Lucario proceeded to hit Flygon with an onslaught of strikes, sending him crashing to the ground, dealing significant damage. As Lucario jumped back, Flygon suddenly flew out from the smoke.
Serena: Flygon! Draco Meteor!
Flygon: Gon!
Charging up a blast, Flygon launched a shot into the air, as it proceeded to s scatter and rain down onto the battlefield.
Nhazul: Dodge and close the gap!
Doing as Nhazul said, Lucario proceeded to dodge the blasts hitting the ground, leaping into the air once again.
Nhazul: Aura Sphere!
Charging up the Aura Sphere, Lucario hit Flygon in the face with it, sending it back. Serena noticing Lucario still in mid air, coming up with an idea.
Serena: Flygon, now's our chance! Level out and use High Horsepower!
Doing as Serena said, Flygon leveled out and rushed towards Lucario, hitting him for super effective damage.
Serena: Again! High Horsepower! Back to back! Don't let Lucario land!
Nhazul: What?
Flygon proceeded to hit Lucario with an onslaught of High Horsepowers, preventing him from landing, surprising everyone.
Nhazul's thoughts: She's taking advantage of Lucario's lack of mobility while in the air.
Serena: Flygon, Fire Blast!
Firing off Fire Blast, Lucario looked back towards it.
Nhazul: Lucario! Use Aura Sphere!
Lucario: Cario!
Using Aura Sphere, Lucario proceeded to fire it towards the Fire Blast, creating a large explosion, pushing Lucario towards the ground, landing.
Serena: He used the explosion to propel Lucario back to the ground...?
Serena just smiled.
Serena: I shouldn't be surprised. Flygon, use High Horsepower!
Flygon proceeded to fly towards Lucario.
Nhazul: Let's end it! Meteor Mash, rapid fire!
Suddenly, Lucario's aura began to flare due to Aura Storm, as he and Flygon clashed,
the two fighting for dominance, but as Lucario's aura flared even more, it began overwhelming Flygon, punching him in the face and sending it crashing down to the ground, knocked out.
Hala: Flygon is unable to battle!
Caster: Contestant Serena is down to her final Pokémon.
Serena proceeded to call back Flygon, smiling.
Serena: Thank you, Flygon.
Serena then looked at Nhazul.
Serena's thoughts: I knew in a serious battle like this, you wouldn't go down easily...
(Flashback)
Nhazul: I have a goal I will make a reality no matter what it takes. Along with Garchomp, Eevee and all my Pokémon, I will make it a reality!
(Present)
Serena's thoughts: You're doing this to make Sonia's dream a reality. Even if it's me standing in your way, even if I know you're far stronger then me. I know you wouldn't want me to give you the victory. You'd want me to give it everything I've got. So that's what I'll do!
Serena then pulled out her next Pokéball, calling out her last Pokémon.
Serena: Come on out, Braxion!
Braxion: Brax!
Caster: It would seem that Serena's last Pokémon is Braxion!
Ash: So her Braxion is up last.
Lillie: Serena still has the type advantage here.
Kiawe: For now... But we don't know who Nhazul is going to send out next...
Nhazul: Lucario, rush forward! Bone Rush!
Lucario: Cario!
Creating a staff, Lucario proceeded to rush towards Braxion.
Serena: Braxion, dodge and use Shadow Ball!
Nhazul's thoughts: Shadow Ball?
Braxion proceeded to dodge Lucario's attack, and used Shadow Ball, countering Lucario and knocking him back, making Nhazul smile.
Nhazul's thoughts: Not bad. She's gotten much faster.
Mallow: Alright!
Lillie: So Serena approached with more offensive instead of defense?
Ash: Looking good, Serena!
Nhazul: Lucario, Close Combat!
As Lucario rushed forward, towards Delphox, getting ready to strike, but Serena countered.
Serena: Braxion, Flamethrower!
Using Flamethrower, Braxion proceeded to blast Lucario with such speeds, it couldn't react in time, blasting him and knocking him out.
Hala: Lucario is unable to battle!
Nhazul looked at Lucario, smiling, as he called him back.
Nhazul: Awesome job, Lucario.
Caster: Contestant Nhazul is now also down to his final Pokémon.
Margo: Serena took down another one of big bro's Pokémon.
Syluvia: She's definitely gotten much stronger since she was in Kalos.
Nhazul proceeded to pull out his next Pokéball, throwing it up in the air.
Nhazul: Let's go, Greninja!
Greninja proceeded to land on the ground, crossing his arms.
Greninja: Kouga.
Caster: And Contestant Nhazul's final Pokémon is Greninja!
Serena: Greninja, huh? We were hoping you'd use him.
Braxion: Braxion.
Greninja looked at Braxion, remembering their first battle and how far she's came, smiling.
Greninja: Kouga.
Nhazul: Yeah. Let's see what they got! Greninja, Aerial Ace!
Greninja: Kouga!
Using it's superior speed, Greninja rushed towards Braxion, cocking back it's fist, but Serena was ready.
Serena: Braxion, Dazzling Gleam!
Nhazul: What?!
Using Dazzling Gleam, Braxion blocked Greninja's strike, pushing it back, surprising the boys.
Ash: Dazzling Gleam?!
Kiawe: She taught Braxion a Fairy Type move?!
Lana: Yeah! She wanted to be prepared to fight Nhazul and Greninja.
Nhazul: Dazzling Gleam, huh? Greninja, Double Team into Night Slash!
Greninja: Kouga!
Using Double Team, Greninja rushed forward with it's clones, all using Night Slash.seeing this, Serena smiled.
Serena: I thought of that too, Nhazul!
Nhazul: Huh?
Serena: Braxion, use Shockwave!
Again, Nhazul looked at Serena surprised, as Braxion blew away Greninja's clones, hitting him for more super effective damage, forcing Greninja to a knee.
Greninja: Kouga...
Sophocles: Shockwave, too?!
Rotom Dex: Shockwave ignores all evasion increases. Double Team is practically useless in this situation!
Nhazul: Dazzling Gleam and Shockwave... You both really came prepared to fight Greninja, huh?
Serena: Of course. We know just how strong he is. I knew I had to bring everything I had if I wanted to win.
Braxion: Braxion!
Nhazul: Is that so?
Greninja proceeded to stand back up, cracking his neck, smiling as he looked back at Nhazul.
Greninja: Kouga.
Nhazul: Right. This isn't like our first battle. Greninja, Double Team into Night Slash again!
Greninja: Kouga!
Everyone looked at Nhazul confused and surprised.
Mallow: He's using the same combo again?
Kiawe: Nhazul should know that won't work!
Serena looked at Nhazul confused as well, but continued to focus.
Serena: Braxion, use Shockwave again!
Braxion: Braxion!
Using Shockwave, Braxion sent the electric blast towards Greninja and his clones.
Nhazul: Now! Stab your blade into the ground!
Doing what Nhazul said, Greninja stabbed it's blade into the ground, lessening the damage, surprising everyone.
Caster: Incredible! Greninja used it's blade as as an insulator to lessen the damage from Shockwave!
Nhazul: Greninja, Water Shuriken!
Greninja: Kouga!
Greninja then proceeded to use Water Shuriken, hitting back Braxion with super effective damage.
Serena: Braxion!
Serena's thoughts: I should've expected he'd do something like this...!
Nhazul: Aerial Ace!
Serena: Dazzling Gleam!
Rushing forward, Braxion attempted to hit Greninja with Dazzling Gleam.
Nhazul: Double Team!
Just as Braxion hit Greninja, his body disbursed into multiple clones, avoiding the attack, surprising them.
Nhazul: Now, Aerial Ace!
Using Aerial Ace, Greninja knocked Braxion up into the air and hit her with a barrage of strikes,
before sending her crashing down with axe kick, and as the dust settles, everyone saw Braxion on the ground.
Mallow: Oh no!
Sophocles: Is it over?
Braxion slowly started to move, weakly trying to get back up.
Braxion: Brax...
Serena: Come on, Braxion...! You can do it! I know you can! So please get up!
Braxion slowly began to get up, she looked up at Greninja with a determined look, as to not lose, as she then slowly began to glow blue.
Braxion: BRAXION!!!!
As Braxion began glowing even brighter, surprising everyone.
Kiawe: No way!
Lana: Is Braxion...?
As the light disappeared, everyone had saw that Braxion had evolved into Delphox.
Delphox: Delphox!
Caster: Incredible! Braxion has evolved into Delphox!
Serena: Braxion... You evolved!
Delphox looked back at Serena and smiled.
Delphox: Phox!
Nhazul just smiled at the two of them.
Nhazul: Well, aren't you just full of surprises. Greninja, let's keep it going!
Greninja: Kouga!
Serena: Okay, Delphox, let's show Nhazul and Greninja your new power! Flamethrower!
Delphox proceeded to twirl her wand and fired off a different fire attack, forcing Greninja to dodge.
Nhazul; Was that?
Lillie: Mystical Fire!
Serena: That's amazing, Delphox, you learned Mystical Fire! Let's keep it up, Mystical Fire!
Nhazul: Match it! Water Shuriken!
Both Greninja and Delphox proceeded to clash attacks, blowing each other back.
Nhazul: Aerial Ace!
Rushing forward, Greninja attempted to hit Delphox, only for her to quickly dodge, catching Greninja off guard.
Serena: Shadow Ball!
Delphox proceeded to hit Greninja with Shadow Ball, pushing him back.
Nhazul's thoughts: Delphox has gotten a lot faster from evolving.
Nhazul: Greninja, Double Team.
Greninja: Kouga!
Greninja proceeded to rush forward using Double Team, creating multiple clones.
Serena: Blow them away, Delphox! Shockwave!
Using Shockwave, Delphox destroyed all of Greninja's clones, but quickly saw Greninja running low to the ground, dragging his Night Slash blades into ground, reducing the damage.
Serena: Again...? Delphox, Shadow Ball!
Nhazul: Night Slash!
Both Greninja and Delphox proceeded to clash, creating a large explosion, pushing each other back.
Nhazul and Serena: Water Shuriken/ Mystical Fire!
Both Greninja and Delphox fired off their attacks, creating another powerful explosion.
Nhazul: Rush forward, Aerial Ace!
Serena: Defend with Dazzling Gleam!
Greninja attempted to punch Delphox, only for him to be pushed back by Dazzling Gleam.
Nhazul: Double Team into Night Slash!
Serena: Jump into the air and use Shockwave!
Delphox proceeded to leap into the air, using Shockwave to destroy the clones, and damage Greninja. But he quickly recovered rushing forward towards her.
Serena: Shadow Ball!
Nhazul: Aerial Ace!
Greninja proceeded to rush forward, kicking away the Shadow Ball, and proceeded to hit Delphox into the face with a powerful kick, pushing her back.
Serena's thoughts: Even with Dazzling Gleam, Shockwave, and even evolving it's still not enough... He found a way to counter them both. We won't win in all battle. I need to end it with this.
Serena: Delphox, let's do this!
Delphox: Delphox!
Serena proceeded to insert a Z Crystal into her Z Ring, which was Fairy Z, surprising everyone.
Ash: Fariy Z?!
Kiawe: When did she get that?!
Mallow: We don't even know...
Lana: It's my first time seeing it too!
Serena and Delphox both proceeded to mimic one another, charging up the Z Move.
Serena: Let's end this here and now, Delphox!
Delphox: Delphox!
Serena: Twinkle Tackle!
Using her Z Move, Delphox rushed forward towards Greninja, cloaked in a powerful fairy Aura. Seeing this, Nhazul couldn't help but smile.
Nhazul: You're really pulling out all the stops, huh? Then let us show you the same courtesy! Greninja!
Greninja: Gekkouga!!!
Both Greninja and Nhazul's eyes began to glow green, as they proceeded to Synchro Evolve.
Nhazul: Blow through! Water Shuriken!
Greninja: Kouga!
Mimicking one another, Nhazul and Greninja
reached behind their back and proceeded to throw the Fuma Water Shuriken, clashing with Delphox, canceling each other out, creating a large explosion.
Caster: A clash of Water Shuriken and Z Move ended in a draw!
As Serena looked through the smoke, she could see a pair of glowing eyes through it, surprising her.
Serena: Delphox, Dazzling-
Nhazul: Night Slash!
Without warning, Greninja had rushed through the smoke, slashing Delphox with Night Slash, dealing super effective damage. Delphox then proceeded to fall to the ground, knocked out.
Hala: Delphox is unable to battle! The winner is Contestant Nhazul!
Caster: A clash of power vs power,move vs move...The one's who came out on top is Contestant Nhazul and Greninja!
As the crowd started cheering for Nhazul and Serena, she knelt down to Delphox to help her up.
Serena: You did great, Delphox.
Delphox: Delphox...
Nhazul and Greninja both walked up to Serena, with Nhazul smiling.
Nhazul: You two were incredible. It's a definite far cry from our first battle. I'm proud of how far you've come.
Hearing Nhazul's praise, Serena started blushing and smiled at him.
Serena: Thanks. You were too!
Nhazul and Serena both hug one another, as the crowd continued to cheer. Serena then took the chance to be bold, kissing Nhazul on the cheek, making him look at her and blush slightly.
Seeing this, Delphox looked at Greninja smiling, kissing him on the cheek, surprising him. As everyone continued to cheer, Shirona couldn't help but smile.
Shirona: He's becoming more and more like his sister. Don't you think?
Burnet: I know!
Lusamine: It's become more apparent the more I look at him.
Shirona then looked at Inei, who was still just looking at Nhazul, in deep thought.
Inei: ...
