"He's been stabbed!"
Y/n's eye's widened, though she does not loose focus, she proceeds on taking care of her opponents. It wasn't much trouble taking care of them though, they were just small fries.
"Takemitchy! Take care of Ken-chin!" Again, both the blonde and the h/c heads shouted at the same time.
"Get out of my way!" Y/n yelled, swinging the bat she took earlier from an opponent towards another member of Moebius, hitting him in the chest before following with a kick to the sides.
She raised her bat in the air to place the final attack when someone from behind managed to grab the weapon and take it from her.
"Not so powerful without weapons now, aren't ya?" She turned around to see another Moebius member. She gritted her teeth, she wasn't a fan of fighting with fists, that's why she chose to hold a weapon.
The boy tried to attack her using the bat he took away from her but Y/n dodged it with ease, she didn't let him form another attack and grabbed his hair, pulling him towards her before sending her knee to his stomach.
"What was that you said earlier again?" She grinned, cocking her head to the left as she glared right into his eyes just right before he passed out.
"Y/n! Follow Takemitchy and help him with Ken-chin!" The female hears Mikey's voice from afar, she thinned her lips as she nodded.
"I'm on it!" She yelled before quickly running off to where Takemichi left.
She suddenly sneezed as she as running. "Fucking shit." She cursed but still kept on running, not bothering on stopping until she finds where Takemichi is.
"Y/n-chan?!" The female whips her head to the sudden call, she finally sees Takemichi-along with Draken, Emma, Hinata, Akkun, Takuya, Yamagishi, and Makoto-and along with Kiyomasa and his squad, though Kiyomasa was on the ground, passed out.
"Takemitchy! You guys!" Y/n rushed to them, immediately going upfront to protect them from Kiyomasa's squad. "Touch then and I'll send your dick on fire!"
Sirens suddenly emerged, Kiyomasa's squad immediately left as they didn't want to get caught.
"Is everyone okay?" Y/n coughed, turning to Takemichi and the others. Everyone nodded, "Good, now let's hurry and help Ken-chin immediately."
...
"Mikey-kun, Draken-kun is-"
"Yeah, I heard. Where's the waiting room?" Mikey cuts Takemichi's words off.
"Mikeeyy!" Emma cried.
"Mikey!" "Mikey...!" Both Mitsuya and Peh turned to him.
"You guys are being way too loud, we're in a hospital so keep it down." Mikey scolded. "Ken-chin... Has always made good on is word since way back, he's not gonna die here, he'd never be that dishonest." Mikey spoke as she took a seat on a nearby bench.
Y/n clenched on her now balled up fists, gritting her teeth. Even she was having doubts about it, she knows anything can happen and that there's nothing she can do but pray and hope for the best outcome.
They waited for what it seemed to be an hour, it was then the lights on the sign clicked, turning off.
"The surgery's over." The surgeon and the assistants came out of the operating room. "We stopped his life from passing. The operation was a success."
Y/n finally felt like she could breath again. She let out a loud sigh before raking her hair. Though she does not fail to notice how Mikey walks out of the room with his head down.
For a reason, she knew what it meant.

"I met that big guy from east elementary's this grade and I beat him up!" Mikey grinned widely as he sat crisscross on the stool, facing his sick mother who was placed in a hospital bed.
"You're so strong, Manjiro." His mother softly have a smile.
"I don't care if your strong or whatever, but atleast learn to clean up after yourself!" A certain female butted in as she smacked the back of his head.
Even though they had just met for only two weeks, they immediately got comfortable with each other so Mikey thought why not bring her along as he visited his Mother at the hospital.
"My my, Manjiro's weak around little
Y/n." Mikey's mother chuckled softly, finding the kid's interactions cute.
"I'm not!" Mikey defends himself.
Even though he was a bit annoyed, it felt livelier every time he brought Y/n along. There were times she couldn't visit because of school though, and his mother would ask for her whenever she wasn't there.
Mikey's Mother was kind, soft and caring. She treated Y/n like her own daughter and got along with her quite well. She liked the fact that Y/n was loud, lively and cheerful, specially around Mikey. She felt more reassured to have someone just like Y/n with Mikey, she just knew that Y/n would be the type to stop Mikey from doing reckless things.
"What's it like to fall inlove?" Y/n asked out of curiosity, properly sitting on the stool-unlike how Mikey does it.
"Fall in love?" Mikey's Mother-Sakurako, raised her brows. "Are you inlove, Y/n?"
"Wh-What?! N-No! I'm not...!" Y/n panicked, a nervous smile painting her face. "I-I was just curious..." She avoids eye contact.
Lately, Y/n's classmates and friends have noticed some things around her, she ways talks about this one boy and would even ditch them for him. And so they started to question if she was inlove or something. Y/n never thought of Love-related things so she started to ask more questions after her friends' question.
"Hmm, let's see." Sakuraku hummed, her eyes drifting out the window as she recalls the experience. "Your heart will start to beat faster that you want it to be, you will start to have tingles inside your stomach, you will start to think and care for the person often, you will start to think fighting for them is worth it and you'll start to think of a future for the two of you. I think it's things like that." The Mother turned to Y/n and have a gentle smile.
"So it's like wanting to marry them or something...?" Y/n's brows furrowed as her head tilted to the left. Of course she didn't quite understand, she's still young and she's dumb just like any other kid.
Sakuraku chuckled and placed a hand ontop of Y/n's head.
"I know love is a bit complicated to understand, but once you fall inlove with someone, I think you'll start to learn." She told which made Y/n even more confused. Can't she just tell her now? Why does she have to experience it herself?
"I'm back." Mikey announced as he entered the room, a plastic bag full of snacks in his hands.
"Welcome back." Y/n mumbled.
"Oh right! Why didn't you tell me you were being picked on back at your school? I could have just scared them off you know!" Mikey told, placing down the plastic bag on the table.
"H-How did you...?" Y/n shot up, eyes wide with her mouth hang open, totally shocked by the fact that Mikey knew something she had been hiding for for a few weeks now.
"I heard some conversations back at the convenience store when I bought the snacks." Mikey crossed his arms. "Tell me who are the sickos who has the guts to pick on you! I'll take care of the-"
"You can't!" Y/n cuts off, jumping off from the stool to properly face Mikey and started to wave her hands and head vigorously.
"Hah?! Why not?!" Mikey's brows furrowed.
"Because I don't want them to know that we know each other!" Y/n told.
"What's wrong with knowing me?!" Mikey admitted that he was a bit hurt with her words, he started asking himself what was wrong with her or maybe him.
"N-Nothings wrong with you...! Don't take it the wrong way..." Y/n looked away, avoiding his eyes. "It's just that... They won't be friends with me if they know... You know, since you're scary and all." She explained, her voice dying down.
"So you don't want them to know because if they knew that we're friends they're gonna stop being friends with you?" Mikey notice how Y/n's face slowly got painted in red as she didn't answer, though she nodded her head as a yes.
"I-"
"I don't care about what they think, as a friend, I care about you!" Mikey reasoned.
As all of this quarrel was happening, Sakuraku smiled softly as she watched the two.
The fight lasted for another minute, Mikey left the room with Y/n staying inside, nervous and a bit guilty because she felt like she was the one on the wrong. But her feelings had to be considered as well right?
"I'm sorry, Auntie... About the fight..." Y/n apologised as she turned to the sick mother.
"It's okay Y/n." Sakuraku chuckled. "Say, can you promise me something?" This question brought Y/n's brows upwards, quickly getting curious on what it is about.
"Can I ask what it is?" Y/n asked.
"I probably won't last long... So can you look after Mikey for me?" She turned to the young lady. Y/n's eyes widened at the new information she received.
"A-Auntie! Don't say things like that! Im sure you'll get better soon!" Y/n tries to cheer her up.
"But what if I don't? Will you keep the promise?" Sakuraku asked, her eyes shone with tears as she still kept a small smile on her face.
Y/n but on her lower lip. "I will. I won't leave his side, I promise you that!"
"Thank you, Y/n." Sakuraku can't help but pull the kid in for a gentle hug, Y/n was taken aback by the sudden action. She couldn't help but hug back as well, her lips trembled as she tried her best to not cry.
"A-Auntie..."
Three weeks after the promise, Sakuraku died...
Y/n cried endlessly as she stood before the cold body of the woman.
"Manjiro?" Mikey's Grandfather noticed that the boy wasn't present anymore in the room anymore.
...
"Don't leave." Mikey tightened his jaw and clenched his fists. His lips trembled as he too was heartbroken after the death of his own beloved mother. "Don't leave."
He cried with a shaky voice, he felt his chest tightening as it was like his oxygen was cutting off, he couldn't breath, he felt suffocated and frustrated.
He quickly wiped his now falling tears off of his face, though it didn't do any use as new ones also came out. It felt endless.
It wasn't a second later when he felt something warm wrap around his neck. By just the scent, he could already tell who the person was.
"Y/n." Mikey cried. More tears came oozing out almost quickly. It was painful, of course it was, Sakuraku is obviously one of the people he cherished so much.
But Y/n's arms... It felt like... It was comforting him.
It felt warm.
"I'm here." Y/n spoke, though she too was crying just as much as him. "I'm always here."
Mikey couldn't help but lean and nuzzle more into the girl's arms, his face slowly sinking in as he searched for as much comfort as he needed.
Y/n knew by then that she will keep the promise she made with Sakuraku.
"Don't worry Mikey, I'll be always by your side starting now, I promise." She pats his back gently and caressed it softly.

Y/n found Mikey at the back of the hospital building, he still had his head down as he leaned on the wall.
The girl does not fail to notice the fact that even his lips and hands were in a trembling state.
"Mikey." The female walks up to the male who was now leaning on the wall, on the verge of breaking down.
She then stood beside him and wrapped her arms around his neck. Just like how she did that day.
Mikey gave a reaction and almost instantly broke down in her arms. His legs gave out, his knees fell to the ground but Y/n never broke out from her hold, instead, she also got down on the ground the moment Mikey's legs gave out.
"Y/n...!" He sobs, burying his face into her shoulder, hugging her back as tightly as she did. Y/n only hummed and pats his back gently just like before and caressed it softly, just like before.
"I'm here... I'm always here."
