It's been a few days since Sonia's team forgave and joined Nhazul's team. Currently Nhazul and Greninja were training once again to master their Syncro Evolution, battling against Gallade, while the others watched.
Nhazul: Greninja, Aerial Ace! Gallade, Sacred Sword!
Greninja: Kouga!
Gallade: Ade!
Rushing forward, both Greninja and Gallade began to clash, trading blows with each other, before blowing each other back. As Greninja skidded back, his and Nhazul's eyes began to glow.
Nhazul: HAAAAA!!!!
Greninja: KOUGA!!!!
Without warning, the water vortex surrounded Greninja,
but once again was not able to achieve the perfected form.
Kiawe: So close...
Sophocles: I thought they pulled it off this time!
Mallow: So did I.
Ash: Even so, I feel like they're getting closer and closer.
Lillie: Still, Nhazul has been working on this quite awhile now. Doesn't this make the 5th day in a row?
Seeing the first stage again, Nhazul just sighed, while panting.
Nhazul's thoughts: Still no luck...
Nhazul: Alright, you two... Let's keep going...
Greninja and Gallade both looked at each other and back towards Nhazul, with Greninja deforming.
Greninja: Kouga!
Gallade: Gallade!
Nhazul: Huh...?
Rotom Dex: They're saying you should stop for the day.
Kukui: I agree, you've been at it all day.
Serena: Yeah, and you don't look so good...
Lana: Are you okay?
Nhazul: Y-Yeah... I'm alright... It always takes a lot out of me when we Syncro...
Ash: Yeah, I definitely remember that. I think because it was incomplete, that the effects of the form are multiplied. But after mastering it, they become much more manageable.
Nhazul: Noted...

After the school day was over, Nhazul, Kukui and Ash all returned home to be met by Burnet.
Burnet: Welcome home!
Ash and Kukui: Alola!
Kukui: You're home early.
Burnet: Um Hmm! I got home early and decided to cook tonight!
Ash: Really?!
Nhazul just ignored the two of them, as he weakly walked past them and towards the loft.
Nhazul: I'm going to skip dinner tonight...
The three of them looked at Nhazul surprised.
Burnet: Oh, alright..
As Nhazul climbed up to the loft, he laid down, as Burnet looked at Ash and Kukui.
Burnet: Is everything alright with Nhazul?
Kukui: I think he's still tired from training today.
Ash: Yeah, he's been working really hard to perfect the Syncro Evolution form with Greninja.
Burnet: Oh?

It's the next morning, and currently Nhazul was getting his things ready for school, and as he was packing his bag, he continued to pant, much more so then yesterday. Eevee noticed and looked at Nhazul concerned.
Eevee: Vee...?
Nhazul: I'm alright, Eevee. Just still a little worn out from training...
Eevee: Vee...
After getting everything ready, both Nhazul and Ash made their way to the Pokémon school, where everyone greeted them.
Everyone: Alola!
Ash: Alola!
Nhazul: A-Alola...
Everyone looked over at Nhazul, and saw he was sweating and didn't look to good.
Serena: Nhazul?
Lana: Are you alright?
Nhazul: Y-Yeah... I'm... I-I'm...I...
Without warning, Nhazul proceeded to fall, leaning against Lana, making her blush.
Lana: N-Nhazul...?!
Eevee: Vee...!
Everyone then saw him begin to pant heavily, surprising them.
Kiawe: Hey, is he alright?!
Lana felt his forehead and was surprised by warm it was.
Lana: He's burning up... He's got a fever...!
After Kukui had arrived, he confirmed that Nhazul was indeed sick and very badly.
Kukui: Yeah, he's definitely sick. It's gotta be from him overworking and overexerting himself...
Ash: Yeah, he's been practicing at school and at home for hours on end. That's not healthy.
Mallow: I know you're not talking...
Ash: What?
Kukui: Any way, he needs to head back home and rest. But there's no one to keep an eye on him...
Serena: What about his parents?
Kukui: They took Margo to Akala Island and won't be back until tomorrow...
Suddenly, both Serena and Lana raised their hands.
Serena and Lana: I can watch him!
Both Serena and Lana both looked at each other surprised, before exchanging it for an annoyed look. Immediately felling the tension, Kukui spoke up.
Kukui: How about you both watch him... It'll probably make things easier...
Kukui's thoughts: Boy, do you have your work cut out for you, Nhazul...

After dropping off Nhazul back at home, both Serena and Lana, along with their Pokémon were looking after him as he rested. Serena proceeded to wipe off the sweat from his face, as he continued to pant.
Serena: He's fever is still extremely high... the towel gets hot almost immediately...
Eevee looked at Nhazul extremely worried.
Eevee: Vee...
Lana: You're worried about him too, right? Don't worry, we'll take good care of him.
Lana looked over at Sandy and Growlithe.
Lana: Sandy, Growlithe, can you make us some more cool water?
Sandy: Vaporeon!
Growlithe: Grow!
Using their attacks, Sandy and Growlithe proceeded to make some fresh cool water, poring it into another bowl.
Lana: Thank you, you two.
Serena: We gave him the medicine. Now we just wait for it to take effect. Hopefully it at least a breaks his fever...
Lana: Hmm... Maybe we should make him something to eat? Maybe it'll help?
Serena: Yeah, it might actually. I'll go make something light for him.
As Serena was about to head downstairs, suddenly the two of them heard the sound of a guitar being played outside extremely loudly, forcing Lana to quickly cover Nhazul's ears.
Lana: It's so loud...!
Serena: What's going on out there?
Serena and her Pokémon, and Eevee walked outside to see who was making the noise and were immediately met with an oddly dressed trainer with a guitar and Druddigon.
???: I'm the rock musician who has traveled to Alola from another region beyond the sea in order to spread my fame! They call me Ryuki, the battling superstar! I've been told an extremely powerful trainer and his Garchomp lives here! Is he here?!
Serena: Uh, yeah, it is, but-
Ryuki: Hell yes! To think I would be able to find him so quickly!
Serena: Excuse me, can you be a bit more quiet...?
Ryuki: And you! Do you know this trainer?
Serena: Yes, I do...
Ryuki: Then tell him this! Wow! I'm the man will defeat him and bud Garchomp! I'll prove Druddigon and I are superior!
Druddigon: Druddigon!
Serena: Uh... Can you turn down the volume a little...?
Ryuki: Come on out! I challenge you to a Pokémon battle! And not just any Pokémon battle! It's a battle between dragons!
As Ryuki continued playing his guitar, Serena and the others covered their ears.
Serena'a thoughts: Geez... Nhazul is going to wake up at this rate...
Ryuki: It's battle time!
Serena: I got it, I got it! I'll get him, so stop screaming...!
Ryuki: Will you call him?!
Serena: W-Wait here a second...
Serena then went back inside, telling Lana the situation of Ryuki.
Lana: Huh? Nhazul isn't in any condition to battle...
Nhazul: Mmm...
Serena, Lana and the Pokémon all looked at Nhazul, thinking he was waking up, but just went back to sleep, making them sigh...
Serena: We can't let Nhazul battle in this state... But that Ryuki guy doesn't seem like the type of person to give up and go home, even if I tell him what's going on...
Serena looked over and saw Nhazul's clothes and came up with an idea, which Lana immediately picked up on.
Lana: Don't tell me you...
Serena: I have no choice but to do it!
Serena proceeded to undress, putting on Nhazul's clothes, looking at Lana.
Serena: It's going to be really loud, please try to make sure Nhazul doesn't wake up...
Lana: Right! Leave it to me!
Upon getting dressed in Nhazul's clothes, Serena went outside to confront Ryuki, pretending to be Nhazul, with his hood over her head.
Serena: Sorry to keep you waiting! My name is Nhazul Hatake!
Ryuki: Oh? So we finally meet in person!
Serena's thoughts: Thank goodness... He's somehow buying it... Calm down, Serena. Remember everything Nhazul taught you and do this for his sake!
Holding Garchomp's Pokéball, she proceeded to call him out.
Serena: Come out, Garchomp!
Garchomp: Gar!!!
Garchomp looked back at Serena, thinking nothing of it, but quickly took a double take, very much confused.
Garchomp: ...O-O... Garchomp?!
Serena: J-Just play along, Garchomp...!
Garchomp: G-Gar...?
Ryuki: Alright, come at me whenever you're ready!
Serena: Garchomp! Dragon Claw!
Ryuki: Druddigon, you use Dragon Claw too!
Rushing forward, both Garchomp and Druddigon clashed Dragon Claws, pushing each other back.
Ryuki: So the rumors were true. I'm getting fired up!
Serena: This guy wasn't lying, he's strong...
Ryuki: Flamethrower!
Druddigon: Drudd!
Serena: Block it!
Using Flamethrower, Druddigon hit Garchomp, pushing him back.
Serena: Garchomp, Draco Meteor!
Garchomp: Gar!
Using Draco Meteor, Garchomp proceeded raining down multiple blasts.
Ryuki: Druddigon, Dig!
Druddigon: Druddigon!
Using Dig, Druddigon proceeded to dig underneath the ground, surprising Serena.
Serena's thoughts: Where is it coming from now...? How would Nhazul get out of this tough spot...?
Garchomp: Gar!
Serena looked over and saw Garchomp looking back at her.
Garchomp: Gar, Garchomp.
Serena's thoughts: That's right...I've been watching Nhazul's battles more closely then anyone... He's been coaching me this entire time. I need to remember what I've seen and taught me.
(Flashback)
Brock: Steelix, use Dig to get away!
Steelix proceeded to dig into the ground to avoid Draco Meteor.
Nhazul: Oh I don't think so. Garchomp, Giga Impact the ground.
Flying high into the ground, Garchomp proceeded rocket back down with tremendous amounts of speed, hitting the ground with an Giga Impact so powerful, it spit the ground apart, forcing Steelix to resurface, as well as dealing damage to it, surprising everyone.

Serena: Garchomp, Giga Impact the ground!
Ryuki: What?!
Flying high into the air, Garchomp proceeded rocket back down with tremendous amounts of speed, hitting the ground with an Giga Impact so powerful, it spit the ground apart, forcing Druddigon to resurface.
Serena: Dragon Claw!
Serena proceeded to use Dragon Claw, slamming Druddigon into the ground dealing super effective damage.
Ryuki: This is what I've been looking for...!
Serena's thoughts: Thank goodness! That worked!
Back with Lana, she was currently trying to keep Nhazul from waking up, covering his ears, keeping him from waking up.
Lana: Hurry, Serena... Nhazul can wake up any second...
Nhazul: Mmm....
Lana, Eevee and the others looked at Nhazul surprised, thinking he was walking up.
Nhazul: Big sis...
Lana: Huh?
Nhazul: Dad...
They soon realized he was talking in his sleep.
Nhazul: I'll do it...Big sis's dream...I'll do it...
Lana proceeded to smile at Nhazul, holding his hand.
Lana: Yeah. You will. I believe in you, Serena does, everyone does...
Eevee: Eevee...!
Back with Serena and Ryuki, the two were continuing their battle.
Ryuki: Druddigon, Dragon Tail!
Leaping into the air, Druddigon hit Garchomp with Dragon Tail, slamming him to the ground.
Serena: Garchomp, are you alright?
Garchomp: Gar!
Ryuki: Let's wrap this up! Dragon Claw!
Druddigon: Druddigon!
Serena: Garchomp, you use Dragon Claw!
Garchomp: Garchomp!
As Druddigon rushed forward, Garchomp quickly slashed it, creating an explosion from the clash. As the dust settles, the two of them saw Druddigon on the ground knocked out. Seeing this, Ryuki just smirked.
Ryuki: I see, I see, I see! You really are the real deal!
Serena: T-Thank you.
Ryuki just called back his Druddigon, before getting in Serena's face.
Ryuki: But know this! I will be back and I will take you down! YEAH!!!!!!!!
Serena: Y-Yeah...
As Ryuki left, Serena sighed, looking over at Garchomp.
Serena: Thank you for your help, Garchomp.
Garchomp: Gar!
Returning to the house, Serena made her way back up to the loft, seeing Lana and a still asleep Nhazul.
Serena: How is he?
Lana: We had a little close call, but he didn't wake up.
Serena: Thank goodness...
Lana: Did that guy figure out you weren't Nhazul?
Serena: Thankfully, no... He didn't catch on.
Serena knelt down to Nhazul, feeling his forehead and smiling.
Serena: His fever is going down!
Lana: Really? That's really good to hear.
Serena: I have a feeling when he wakes up, he'll want something to eat. I'll go make him something.
Lana: Let me help!
Serena: Alright!
(Timeskip)
It's later in the day, and Nhazul proceeded to stir awake his fever having broken, but still not the best, looking around, seeing he was in his room in the loft, confusing him.
Nhazul: Hmm...? The loft...? How did I...?
Nhazul then slowly started to remember what had happened, sitting up, holding his head.
Nhazul: Oh... I passed out... Synchro training really must have taken a lot more out of me then I thought...
Suddenly, Nhazul heard snoring, confusing him.
Nhazul: Hmm?
Nhazul looked down and saw Eevee sleeping on his lap.
Nhazul: Eevee?
Looking over, and then saw Serena and Lana, sleeping on the side of his bed, surprising him
Nhazul: Lana? Serena?
Nhazul looked over and saw the pale of water, along with the food on a tray next to him.
Nhazul's thoughts: Were they taking care of me?
Nhazul looked at back the two of them and smiled at them.
Nhazul: Thank you, Eevee, Serena, Lana...
